1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge really go to the moon? on: February 20, 2023, 09:41:38 PM

Does Elon really take doge to the moon?

It can't deny that he is the reason for the surprising spike in Doge's price before but doubted it can happen again knowing that many people had ignored Elon Musk and Dogecoin. We can say that Dogecoin no longer has that potential anymore because it never happens to be on the moon without the influence of someone who is capable enough to manipulate its price which Elon does in the past. That is over and we can never expect such thing as people had already learned when they suffer losses due to investing hype coins.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give it a break. on: February 20, 2023, 01:05:31 PM
You need to be very disciplined in order to do that. You must be at a level where you are very serious about gambling, treating it as a strategy for making a living. It's not easy, mate. I have tried it, but I was only good in theory. In practice, I failed most of the time. Let's just say I don't want to miss out on the action.

1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 20, 2023, 12:33:34 PM
Wondering why TR7 is no longer playing. Is he injured again?
Probably he has not fully recovered yet, and I think he will not have a spot with SMB anymore as there's a rumor that he will be traded. He's good, but due to being an injury-prone player, his value has gone down. You know, even Chris Ross, who used to be a starter with SMB, is now in the 2nd unit only, as they trust Simon over him so much.

Here's the latest news about Terrence Romeo, this is published last Jan. 29, 2023.

PBA: Vic Manuel set for San Miguel return, Terrence Romeo needs more time for recovery

Quote
ANTIPOLO—New San Miguel coach Jorge Gallent gave an update on the team’s two key cogs Vic Manuel and Terrence Romeo after the Beermen’s 114-93 win against Phoenix in their first game in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup.

Vic Manuel will be returning to action for the Beermen as early as next week after suffering a calf injury, confirmed Gallent.

Vic had already return, we might see Terrence Romeo soon.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth staking stablecoins? on: February 17, 2023, 12:52:37 PM
I would say it does, but in a sense that it would be valid only if they are offering you more than a bank savings account does and a trusted place. Lets assume that you have a bank that offers 5% for your interest in USD, and you also saw Coinbase or Binance offering you 6% instead, that means it worths it, because it is both more than what banks offer, and also it is from trusted exchanges.
in that case, staking is profitable and a smart person will certainly choose where it gives a higher interest. But if a person just looks at the security assurance of their funds, that 1% difference is useless, and they will choose a bank either.
Quote
However, if it is from a place that you do not know about, or not as high as what banks offer you? In that case it doesn't make it worth it. This also depends on the stablecoin we are talking about, some of them are more trusted, some of them are less trusted, hence it's not an easy decision.
If my goal is to stake coins, it was not in my mind to choose stablecoins. I'd rather choose altcoins where most exchanges offer interesting rewards. It was found to be risky but choosing trusted exchanges like Binance could somehow make you feel even better.
1065  Economy / Speculation / Re: why Bitcoin Dumping ? on: February 17, 2023, 11:38:20 AM
Bitcoin Started Dumping again
Now can we expect $17000 Again?
According to me, it will Dump again $17000    am I right?
Well, I think you need to further enhance your knowledge about the market and also to keep your emotions under your control. I understand that you are just new here and it was very common to wonder why it goes like this. But if you understand the nature of the market, you will know that this is really going to happen in a volatile market.

$17,000? We're not sure about but I was been optimistic despite the current drop and I won't think it drops to that level again.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 17, 2023, 10:49:34 AM
Meanwhile, we have TNT versus Meralco playing now, and the first half is over, with TNT already up by 14 points. Will Meralco make a comeback in the second half?

So far, TNT is still leading the game, and this could be a chance for Meralco to mount a comeback, especially now that Pogoy has sprained his ankle. They need to win the 3rd quarter and finish the job in the 4th quarter. TNT has too much offensive power, but what happened to Meralco's defensive prowess? They are known for being a good defensive team.

The Bolts had a little run in the 4th quarter, but they were already out of time. They won't make it this time. Although these teams are sister teams, there will be no "sagip Kapamilya" like what Ginebra did to the Magnolia Hotshots. TNT will continue their good winning streak, and with a good import and contributions from the locals, they will be championship contenders this conference.
The run was too late; they should have made it in the third quarter so that in the fourth quarter, the pressure would not have been so high. It's good that TNT won this game. They need to be at the top so that they will have the twice-to-beat advantage. Actually, the top 4 teams will enjoy that advantage. Meralco's import does not have good outside shooting, and neither does the whole team. On the other hand, TNT is a team of good outside shooters, but the problem is that Meralco was not able to defend well.

Mikey Williams and Calvin Oftana are the two local leaders who scored 25 and 19 points, respectively
TNT has a lot of shooters. Although Pogoy is down, it did not affect the team's overall performance. In fact, they still managed to show their dominance with a big win.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 17, 2023, 09:47:28 AM
We might only see a TKO victory from either side if they will go toe to toe, Fulton is actually pretty good too, he's quick and has a good footwork and head movements. They are both fast and agile, the only thing i see that separates this two is Inoue's punching power, just like what you said he's a heavy hitter. This is the fight that Fulton will surely be careful about defensively, coz his opponent this time could KO him anytime through combination of body punches or a hard straight jab to the face.
I would be thrilled to see a toe-to-toe fight between Inoue and Foltun as well. Inoue is known for his aggressive style and devastating power, and it would be exciting to see if Foltun can withstand his punches and respond with his own. Inoue has a large and passionate fan base due to his exciting fights and impressive skill set, and many fans are eagerly anticipating this matchup as another opportunity for Inoue to showcase his talent.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Digital Currencies Should Be Adopted Globally on: February 16, 2023, 01:51:21 PM
I think that "should" is wrong because it means that we no longer have the option to use fiat in that case. Even don we have adapted digital currencies, this won't stop people from using fiat money, the freedom remains depending on where they are comfortable. It was to know that the existence of Bitcoin and any digital currency is not to replace paper money but this is to give an option to everyone and that rights remain no matter what will happen. In fact, as we can see that many people are still in favored fiat money over crypto, it means that we are still to far from fully adopted.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: February 16, 2023, 12:56:14 PM
Up until now I have not really thought about getting involved with XRP however have been doing more research and if they win the case feel it could really do well.

With a market cap of $21m already, how high can this really go if all goes well?

Think I may start to DCA into it and if it does win the case then who knows how high it can go, wouldn’t be surprised if it still did a 15x or more from current price.

Are you for or against XRP?
Maybe I was wrong in ignoring their issue against the SEC but it looks like it was becoming a dead issue since it was been many years past and it was not yet over. I think the SEC may give up and sue scam coins rather than spend their time in XRP.
But I would say to you OP that investing in XRP is too risky from their situation. It is not profitable I see compared to other altcoins so never spend a lot of money on this project. If I were you, spend more on Bitcoins or BNB, or ETH, as they are definitely worth to invest and are more secured investments.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: February 15, 2023, 09:45:40 PM
Yes, some pay and some don't, so you have to do a lot of research to find out which projects are reliable.
Some pays shitcoins and still useless.

In general, Telegram channels are full of scams and trolls, so you should be careful and it is better to stay away from them.

There are a lot of reliable bounty here in the bounty section of the forum, they always pay out. This is better than telegram channels which have a lot of spam.
I have no trust in telegram because we are not sure who is talking to us either a scammer or the real owner of the account. This platform become a medium to huge scam event in the market.
If we are joining bounties, we better not expect a lot nor expect money because it was very unfortunate and seems hopeless to get valuable coins that we can able to sell in good exchanges.
1071  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 15, 2023, 09:20:16 PM
Crypto investment alone can't fully provide us with financial freedom but at least this could help us to improve our finances a little bit. So, if we think about getting rich from here, I'm not saying it was impossible but it probably will take many many years before it happens. In order to have financial freedom, we much urge ourselves to acquire more investments, we need more sacrifices to get there. But if we don't have the courage to risk more money and become patient, this is just a dream, and no way to reach it.
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 15, 2023, 11:54:56 AM
But there is a title eliminator first, which means that Donaire will be in a waiting period before he knows who will be his opponent for the WBC vacant belt. But the thing is that he is assured of a title shot already based on his ranking from WBC.
That's a very positive for him. He can use his time now to stay in condition and train more so he will be 100% fit when there's a fight for him. At his age, he may be considered old, but he is still waiting for another shot at becoming a champion again. I guess he will stay in this division. If he can retire as a champion, then good for him, but if not, then that's alright, as he has already achieved a lot in his career.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 15, 2023, 11:00:15 AM
Waiting to see if Inoue will make an addition to his belt or if how Fulton will defend this division and add good hypes
to his name.
Just like how Bivol can pull an upset against Canelo, many people including me now respecting Bivol Grin

But I think it's really different to compare Canelo and Inoue, when Canelo fight with GGG it's really close, while Inoue is really dominated against all champions. Despite Fulton not a popular boxer, but he have undefeated record and have fought many good boxers, so I just hope the fight would be interesting and the result would be different with majority of people predictions Grin

Yes, we wish it will be as close as we wanted to see and Fulton going on a full distance against the Monster. But we have seen our the likes of Donaire and Butler fall from Inoue's power punches. He you could say that he dominated everyone in this division he beat the majority by KO/TKO, only Donaire last 12 rounds in the final of WBSS tournament, but we can see how tough Inoue is, still goes to win despite Nonito breaking his orbital bone. And once it healed they go on a rematch and we all know how that fight turns out.

I don't mind if this fight ends quickly or goes the distance, as long as it's entertaining. In Inoue's last fight, which was the undisputed fight with Butler, it went the distance, but we didn't enjoy it because it was a boring fight until Inoue caught Butler and knocked him out
1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 14, 2023, 01:14:15 PM
He asked me why not just leave the coin on Binance so that when ever he wants to sell it, he can just use the same method; that's when I brought to his notice "Not your key, not your coin," and he was convinced.
That's a good explanation of the question. Storing assets such as Bitcoin in exchange wallets is highly discouraged by various considerations that can make assets disappear without a guarantee. What's worse is that assets can be frozen despite the stability of the coins stored.
Continue to convey various knowledge about Bitcoin to anyone who is deemed necessary to explain including how to keep Bitcoin safe.
It could be their choice but yes, we have to educate them about the risk of storing our funds on the exchange because even if it was a known and reputable exchange like Binance, we can't assure that our money is safe from possible hacks and not even sure if they will refund if that will happen. Considering this situation, we better secure it with our controlled wallet which I think was safer than we keep on an exchange wallet.
1075  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 14, 2023, 12:51:26 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.
Think about your priorities first before planning to put your extra money into an investment. I know it was your desire to invest and make some earnings while studying but in the case today, I think you should focus on your studies first and make prepare for future expenses so you don't need to ask your parents for money. Saving is not a waste of time because we have the purpose of dong this. In fact, as a student we have been encourage to make this as a habit. We can start investing if we already have enough savings so no matter what will happen to that, we still have money left.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 14, 2023, 11:23:02 AM

Both still doing the adjustment and with these 2 consecutive losses, it might need for coach Kidd to call them out and find the better
system that will going to fit for both stars.
They should figure out how to win soon, otherwise they will continue to slide down which is not good for their playoffs chance.
Dallas now down to rank 5 with 31-28 record, still good though as it's about .500, but the competition is very high in the west, so every win matters.

Kyrie already played with other stars and with the way he loves the game professionally, I can
say that he can adjust to how to help Luka.

It's a matter of time and playing together to build and established good chemistries between them
while the season is still ongoing.

Kyrie did play with other stars because he has been traded several times, but Luka, it's his first time playing wih a real superstar.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 14, 2023, 10:51:28 AM

I don't want to sound ignorant with how other's are seeing the outcome but it already done and like what I mentioned before
nothing we can do about it, we need to move forward and let this one go.

Right, we need to move forward because tomorrow there are games, and focus is very important so we will make a correct guess on what team will win.

TNT (1.10) vs Blackwater (5.80) , by the way, TNT has a new import, so might as well risk on this one/ Grin
SMB (1.10) vs Northport (6.00)
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 13, 2023, 10:30:37 AM
It's more of a comeback fight and he should be showing us that he is ready for the big time show. Unfortunately, many of us see a different Thurman and made us conclude that he is no longer in his prime or somewhat getting old.
Every boxer sometimes have a not-so-satisfying performance, but we also have to remember that Errol Spence also struggle against an opponent, and that is against Porter when he only won via split decision, many of us think it's because of the injury he committed during a car crashed that's why he is not 100% yet, so it's the same story here. To stop this speculation, I think this fight should happen soon.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 13, 2023, 09:28:58 AM
Where are the Patrick Beverley fans at? There's bad news about him as he's been waived by the Orlando Magic.

Actually, that's not bad news since that was already expected, therefore he's expected it too.

There are teams already that show interest in doing a buyout to acquire him.

As far as rumors are concerned, some teams that might be involved are Mavericks or going back to Clippers, or Timberwolves.
That's good to hear if there will be another team that will buy him out.
I'd love to see him back the Clippers as currently, the Clippers need someone who can bring energy on the court.
Still remember the last time when Leonard was injured but the Clippers still managed to reach the WCF, it's their first time actually, and have you known that Beverly has done a big part in that success?
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: February 10, 2023, 08:50:34 AM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
I think you need to learn more about NFT and study their performance. I know it was indeed to have a good start but the trend has changed it is getting worse day by day. If you plan to invest in lowered-priced NFTs, then I would say that you are also wanting to lose your money with them. You are saying that you only have a limited budget and it was not a problem, you can buy potential coins with the use of the DCA strategy. Stop looking for cheap coins because it shows that these coins have no market value and investors are rejected them already, How to make fortune with them? Nothing...
