1082  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: April 09, 2023, 10:03:15 AM
For me, the best indicator if a post is AI-generated is if it is written in flawless English. Even the best posters who are native English speakers don't necessarily write every post using the precision in punctuation, spelling & grammar executed by ChatGPT. If a user's native language isn't English (as can be evidenced by their posting history), and they suddenly start posting in flawless English, it means one of two things:

1. The text is plagiarized, or
2. The text is AI-generated.

It is not fair to assume that someone who writes in flawless English is necessarily plagiarizing or using AI-generated text, and I disagree with this assumption because I believe there could be a third possibility.

In my opinion, @joker_josue makes a valid point. It is difficult to differentiate between content generated by ChatGPT and text that has been translated from a non-English native language to English or edited using ChatGPT and similar tools. I do not think there is a clear way to distinguish between the two, and I suspect that most AI Content Detectors would classify the text as AI-generated, even if it is not the case.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your opinion on shikoku inu? on: April 09, 2023, 09:16:08 AM
Does anyone know the token, it looks promising

What makes it so promising? I did some research on it, and it seems like Shikoku Inu is just another shitcoin, like thousands of others, with no real purpose or utility. It appears to be just a copycat of other popular tokens with no unique features or technology that sets it apart from the rest. In my opinion, investing in such a token would be a risky move with low chances of any significant returns.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was founded in the olden days!! on: April 09, 2023, 09:10:44 AM
I am not sure if it is even wise to engage in discussions about topics that seem nonsensical.

To begin with, Bitcoin's existence in the past would have been impossible due to the lack of essential technologies such as the internet and computers. Without these technologies, the digital world that Bitcoin thrives in would not have existed. Secondly, the financial and economic systems of the past, which relied on physical commodities like gold and silver for currency, were vastly different from the digital world of Bitcoin.
1085  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: April 09, 2023, 07:43:31 AM
This would be useful, in case the person is creating a post in another area of the forum and wants to fetch several quotes from other posts, without having to open the pages of these posts to generate the quote.

Yes, that would be useful, but it should be noted that this is an archive and not a live version of the forum. Topics may be moved, and posts may be deleted, so there is no way for ninjastic.space to determine whether a generated quote will be valid or not. They can very easily lead to dead links, so it is better to create quotes the old-fashioned way.
1086  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block Transaction Count on: April 08, 2023, 11:04:20 PM
Is there a site which can get me organized transactions count for bitcoin blocks?

The mempool.space website offers a range of information about individual Bitcoin blocks, including their block height, the pool they belong to, their size, as well as the total number of transactions  included in each block.

https://mempool.space/blocks

Another popular site for tracking Bitcoin transactions is blockchair.com. This site provides detailed information about Bitcoin blocks, including the total number of transactions and the total value of transactions included in each block. Blockchair.com also provides tools for filtering and sorting Bitcoin transactions based on a variety of criteria, making it easy to find the information you need.

1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 08, 2023, 08:50:49 PM
Well, Martingale may work in the short term, but in the long run, the house always wins. It's a bit like trying to outrun a cheetah in flip flops - you may get a few steps ahead, but eventually, you'll be caught. So, my advice would be to enjoy the thrill of the game, but don't count on any betting strategy to make you rich.
1089  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet stealing my funds on: April 08, 2023, 08:39:03 PM
Funds are not lost cloudbet admitted its in there end
Moving from this point things should be easy to refund as its not sent to unknown person or unknown wallet its there own wallet

There seems to be a lot of assumptions in your statement. How can you know that everything is as easy and straightforward as you believe it to be? What if Cloudbet uses a multisig wallet setup for their wallet? What if they employ a third-party payment provider? You cannot jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts.

This is why am upset if funds on your end why taking 3 weeks + and not refunding my money or credit it to platform this is what am argueeing about here

I understand that you are upset and frustrated about the situation, but you also need to acknowledge that it was your mistake that led you to this point. While it is easy to place blame on Cloudbet or other external factors, you need to recognize your own role in this. Calling Cloudbet scammers at this point will not solve anything, and can actually make things worse. You should approach this situation with a level-headed and objective mindset, and work with them to find a solution.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE surges as Twitter change its website icon to Doge on: April 07, 2023, 08:20:06 PM
I am not a lawyer, but assuming he did this in order to profit off some Doge holding he has, then I think that according to the law of the United States against inside trading, he was supposed to disclose any significant amount of Doge he had, so the regulators would assume he is partaking in fair-game and not manipulating the market to his favor.

You are correct that under United States law, insider trading is prohibited, and individuals who have access to material non-public information about a security are required to disclose that information before trading. This applies to traditional securities, but I am not sure is it the same for cryptocurrency assets like Dogecoin. It is my belief that Musk is fully aware of the legal requirements, but given his past behavior, he may be deliberately taunting the SEC and testing the limits to see how much he can get away with. It is not uncommon for Musk to make controversial statements or take actions that seem to challenge established norms and regulations, and he often faces criticism for this behavior.

It would be similar to him having to make public is intends to sell some of his Tesla stocks.

If I recall correctly, he pulled a similar stunt with Tesla's stocks before, did he not?
1091  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sinbad-mixer.io is this a clone site? on: April 07, 2023, 07:54:45 PM
Thanks for the heads up, @ajiz138. I just checked it out and I agree with you - the site looks almost identical to Sinbad mixer. Given that it is a clone site, it is highly likely that it is a scam. We should definitely avoid it.

We have seen this happening many times before - scammers creating clone sites to trick people into giving them money. It is always important to be vigilant and to double-check the legitimacy of any site before entering any personal or financial information or depositing money. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
1092  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Looking for information on how to get involved as a Bitcoin developer. on: April 07, 2023, 07:39:58 PM
If you are interested in becoming a Bitcoin developer, the best place to start is by familiarizing yourself with the Bitcoin protocol and blockchain technology. You can begin by reading the original Bitcoin Whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto[1], which outlines the technical details of the cryptocurrency and its underlying technology. The Bitcoin Developer website provides a comprehensive guide for developers looking to get started with Bitcoin development, including information on setting up a node and building Bitcoin-based applications.[2]

Once you have a solid understanding of the technology and community, you can start contributing to Bitcoin development by working on the open-source Bitcoin project on GitHub. The Bitcoin.org website provides detailed instructions on how to contribute to the project, including guidelines for producing quality code and respecting established development processes. The Developer Guides section of the Bitcoin Developer website provides detailed information about the Bitcoin protocol and related specifications, including block chains, transactions, contracts, wallets, and payment processing.[1][3][4][5]

1093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 07, 2023, 07:28:51 PM
It is understandable to want to hold onto your Bitcoin instead of spending it, especially given its potential for appreciation. However, it is important to consider the benefits of spending your Bitcoin as well. It can be a great way to support the adoption of cryptocurrency and to contribute to the growth of the ecosystem. Additionally, using Bitcoin for purchases can provide a level of privacy and security that traditional payment methods may not offer. That being said, it is ultimately up to each individual to decide how they want to use their Bitcoin.

That is the beauty of Bitcoin, it provides the flexibility for users to choose how they want to use their assets. Whether it is holding onto it as a long-term investment, using it for everyday transactions, or a combination of both, the choice is entirely up to the user.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: they change the way we handle money and own things ? on: April 05, 2023, 09:53:10 PM
One of the biggest benefits of DeFi is that it offers greater financial inclusivity, meaning that more people can access financial services and participate in the global economy. It also allows for greater transparency and security in transactions, since the decentralized nature of the network makes it less vulnerable to fraud.
However, I do not share the same opinion about NFTs. I think that NFTs have their place in the world, but I do not think they will replace ownership as we know it anytime soon. While I think they have a lot of potential, I do not believe that they offer any tangible benefits to users, and until something changes or new features are added to them, they will remain a niche product for collectors only.
1095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do women engage in crypto trading on: April 05, 2023, 09:27:51 PM
Well, if you are asking if women are capable of understanding blockchain technology and making informed investment decisions, the answer is a resounding yes! In fact, I know plenty of women who are killing it in the investment world, there is no reason to think that it is any different in the crypto world. So, if you are still stuck in the mindset that finance is a man's game, you might want to update your portfolio - I mean, your perspective.  Wink
1096  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum wallet, what's my outgoing address? on: April 05, 2023, 08:38:01 PM
Right, that's what I'm asking.  What is the address/phone number it's sent from?  Under addresses tab, I thought these are my receiving addresses, what's the outgoing?

Because if I look at the outputs on the blockchain, it's a bunch of addresses.

Wallets typically show only receiving addresses by default, as displaying anything else would not make much sense.

As for "outgoing" addresses, they are essentially the same as the receiving address, but with an unspent transaction output (UTXO) from previous transactions. If you want to see the sender's address for a specific transaction, you can use one of the blockchain explorers, such as blockchair.com.

I guess he missed the April Fool's day by a couple of days... Do you think someone should tell him that?

Regardless of his motives, I am certain that he knows how to capitalize on them. It is unfortunate that there are people who follow him and view him as a savior, but I cannot help but feel sorry for them.
1098  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is wrong with Royse777? on: April 02, 2023, 11:08:23 PM
I think the April Fool's joke pulled off by Royse777 was pretty funny. It is good to have a bit of laughter and enjoyment in our lives, especially with all the stress and challenges that we face on a daily basis. I also think that everyone who signed up for the campaign was able to keep participating in their current ones, and that no one lost their job as a result. While I understand the appeal of a high-paying campaign, we need to be cautious and not get too carried away with our expectations. It is important to stay grounded in reality and recognize that not everything that is presented to us is a guarantee.

It does not. They are not the same just because they have similar names.

Do not worry about that, that wacko has already been given the boot!  Wink

https://bpip.org/Profile?id=3542556

It doesn't matter if it's banned or not, your post in which you mix them together demonstrates the low IQ theymos joked about on April 1st.

Following your logic, the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation is also the same because they have similar names.

It is possible that you either misunderstood or misread the language used, but I never said that the accounts were linked simply because they share similar names. However, as I previously stated, this is no longer relevant as the account has been rightfully banned.

If I could, I'd ban you from Bitcointalk for obvious trolling.

Well, in that case, lucky for me you cannot.  Grin

I find such claims absurd; there are many users who spam as well; what else could have led you to believe they are the same if not the name?

Oh sure, because you clearly missed all the relevant information I included in my post, right? Maybe if you actually read it again, including the references I provided, you will finally get it and stop this nonsense.

I believe you should simply edit the post and focus on the user you reported, rather than attempting to justify bans with unrelated accounts.

Thank you, but no.

Edit: I have consolidated my posts since "foundation" sockpuppet was nuked.
