1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: February 03, 2023, 10:51:12 AM
Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and most altcoins are way less qualified in terms of credibility, fanbase, high returns with minimal risks etc. I am trying my best to analyze altcoin projects but the results are not pleasant. What makes an altcoin really trustworthy ? And why ? Please let me know your opinions.
If we ask how? We have to put those things to the project developers. Maybe having strict crypto regulations could somewhat help to improve the credibility of the incoming projects but this won't give us assurance to have a safe investment. That is why I don't encourage people to invest in new projects for they have been known as scams and worthless projects. In fact, we already have Bitcoin and ETH, and we know their profitability, so I think we don't need to look for another project if we know that we can't find legit and trusted coins.
1102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: February 02, 2023, 09:23:39 PM
I learned to work on my own, and this option seemed to me quite effective. I studied on the demo account of the Amarkets broker, and thanks to this I was able to achieve success, because I have already worked out many situations on the demo account.
Well, everyone has their option and think about which is good for them. It was fine to have someone will teach us about trading because not all things have been taught online, not even in the demo account, it was too far from the actual trading. But at least having someone to guide us while we are still learning could give us a better idea of what we gonna do next, we can take action faster than just relying on what we read and watching only tutorials.
But as I said, that will depend on us personally which one is more effective.
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or tokens related to the AI or ML on: February 02, 2023, 08:47:32 PM
https://cryptorank.io/tags/artificial-intelligence

Here you can see a list of such projects. In my opinion, this may turn out to be a new hype in the near future. The topic of artificial intelligence is being actively discussed in the community environment and it may have a certain impact on future projects. It may turn out to be one of the new rapidly developing trends.
This actually gives more interest to the investors and it has also been noticed that once there is another new set of crypto creations, hypes are likely to happen. I expect such a thing as it happens before like in Meta, Defi, NFT, and many others but of course, we also have to be aware of the risk it gives to us, scammers are here to take advantage of the trend that is we should not fall in love with them. However, many people earn from investing in hype projects so it is still expected that many investors will join the party.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 02, 2023, 11:32:02 AM

Yeah, he has proven that he can win outside of his native country Japan. But if this one is going to be held in Saitama again, Inoue will have so much confident because he wanted to please the crowd again, just like what he did against Donaire, devastating knockout win.

Perhaps we may want to re-phrase that, chances of Fulton are slim to stop the train hype of the Inoue. Naoya is on a destructive path that we don't know who is going to beat him in 122 lbs.

Fulton is really in a tough challenge here as Inoue will be the crowd favorite despite being the challenger. I can't imagine this fight will end in judges' scorecards as if we follow the trend, Inoue will easily win here via KO. As long as Fulton is willing to go toe to toe, it will not be a boring fight, and of course, he has to suffer a painful defeat as Inoue is such a heavy hitter.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 02, 2023, 11:02:43 AM
I won my first game bet, I got a live bet Phoenix ML when they are down, the odds is 2.00 and I'm happy for it. Now, going to the 2nd game, I think I'm now tempted with the odds of ROS, they are still winless, so I'm expecting that they will play harder to beat the undefeated converge team.
Congratulations, that was an easy win. Northport really cannot be trusted as they don't have their best players, they were leading early but gave up their lead, actually, Phoenix had led as high as 26 points, although in the 4th quarter, Northport had some big run it wasn't enough to make it a close game and give the phoenix a scare.
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 01, 2023, 09:41:16 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?
Nothing is impossible for a project that really has potential but in this case, Shiba Inu doesn't have it. But it was not how the market works, we can still make a profit in a project that has a low market value. However, choosing Shiba Inu is not a wise choice this time. Not because it was a meme coin but it is because of its low performance after the hype. A project build in the hype and just pumps due to manipulation, that project will never stay long in the market but soon to collapse and die.
1107  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 01, 2023, 09:17:33 PM
Well, I have to clarify that personally I have never had any loan or debt in my life so this thread has nothing to do with my experience but intends to find out how people in loan/debt deal with the problem. Let's say you take loans from a bank and sometimes for whatever reason, you can not pay the debt on time, then you borrow money from other channels. Sure this works for a certain period but later bad things may happen, you have to postpone the payment and struggle with finances again. Isn't this a vicious circle ? How would you deal with the problem ? I am all ears.
It actually happens in real life, not to me but to my friend.  However, I understand their sentiments about why they do that because they have no option and many poor people did the same. It is a big mistake to borrow money just to pay for another debt, it becomes continuous, and couldn't get out of it unless you will increase your income. Sometimes we are too blind not to see the other opportunities around us, it is really a need for us to work hard and sacrifice ourselves from buying unnecessary things, instead to prior paying our debts. But if we can't do it, therefore, there is no way we can settle this thing forever.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 01, 2023, 11:04:28 AM

Lebron and AD did play that's why they won the game. Hopefully no one of them will get injured, their coaching staff are just managing their minutes, and give them some rest especially on a back to back game that's why we didn't see Lebron and AD played against the Nets.

They really need this win and some wins in their next games because they are really left behind and they blurring their chance to get their playoff spot due to the result of their games this season. If they don't want to jeopardize their chance, they need to be healthy and continue winning games no matter who will be their opponent is and as we can see in the last game against Boston Celtics, they are really capable of beating them if only not to the cause of blindness of the ref and they were really doing double works because of their rank's situation and they really wanted to gamble in the NBA playoff since they're one of the superteams in the NBA if not only for the injuries.

Still, plenty of games, if they can't make it to the top 6, I'm sure they'll make it to the play-in tournament, and when that happened as long as Davis is healthy, I believe the Lakers have a decent chance of getting to the playoffs. Look at the Warriors and Clippers now, they are behind in standing before but they are already now in the top 5 and top 4 respectively, it's because of the close competition in the West.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 01, 2023, 10:22:58 AM
Hard for me to believe that Lakers won in OT last night. Without LeBron and AD , lakers are really a total different team that can't even fight for playoffs but with them in the court , everything changes for Lakers.

Also , with this W from last night , their chances to catch playoffs are once again in their hands but still , if AD or Lebron will miss some games due to injuries , I'm afraid Lakers dream of catching playoffs will be crushed.
Lebron and AD did play that's why they won the game. Hopefully no one of them will get injured, their coaching staff are just managing their minutes, and give them some rest especially on a back to back game that's why we didn't see Lebron and AD played against the Nets.

Sad for Bulls too , as my team simply doesn't have the same chemistry between players like they had last year and I think it's all to LaVine as even last night he had a poor performance.

I disagree with that because Bulls were able to play competitive basketball against the Clippers, it was a close game and they could win that game if they made a perfect execution in the last minutes of the game.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: January 31, 2023, 09:24:01 PM
Well, the truth is that - scammers will always find a way to trick people. They are getting smarter which could trick us if we are new here and most especially, you are a greedy person. Because even though how much we work on spreading scam awareness and their technique if we are also too blind not to see it due to attractive rewards, it still makes no sense. It is not a war between one person or two against these scammers but should also be a war for everyone who is here. We can't stop them if not all remain too naive not to see how scammers trick us.
1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 31, 2023, 08:52:05 PM
Yes, I'm still capable of holding a bitcoin for a perfect time for bitcoin to move on due to the way I'm thinking, I don't rush for everything, although I know the bitcoin aspect so it is my choice to do what I want and I am seeing that the bitcoin price is getting interested a little bit, just can't wait for a perfect time to release it, success to my fellow holders and my fellow members.
You actually have the courage and faith in Bitcoin. A long-term holder couldn't be easily affected by what it happens around you because a person like you is totally aiming for the next Bullrun, such a perfect time to sell though.

However, I don't hate those people who are selling their Bitcoin this time because I feel the needs of these people as well. Those who are not ready yet to embrace as a holder will fall into a life as trader. Some are very certain about Buy Low and Sell High, they no longer hold if they see a profit already.
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 31, 2023, 10:50:22 AM
Here are the result for the games today, and it was a perfect win, all picks are the favorites and I have pick the profitable ones,
<snip>

Congratulations buddy, nice win, perfect 4 out of 4. I hope I have that kind of night so I can max out my profit. Really great picks, me, I have 2-2, it's even but not in terms of return, I still lose because the odds are +100 below. Any advance picks for the upcoming games?
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 31, 2023, 10:14:19 AM
Later, it's going to be Nets and Lakers without Lebron and AD.

The outcome of this game was quite predictable. The Lakers couldn't do anything without LeBron and Davis, and as a result, they lost to the Nets by 17 points. However, it should be noted that the Lakers played well in the second and third quarters, and it seemed like they could fight for the win at that point. Unfortunately, they ruined the game for themselves with a disgusting fourth-quarter performance.
It was really to be expected that it will be ending up like that. The game was full of explosion in the threes for the Nets.

Without AD and Lebron, they will really have a hard time but they it was so close! AD was too effective and can do a lot of things under the ring and of course, we know of Lebron.

They were really close with Nets on the 3rd quarter and thought it was their momentum. But then, when it's on the last quarter, everything turned black for the Lakers.

The 4th quarter was the difference maker, the Nets have control already and probably the undermanned Lakers got tired in the game. With Lebron and AD, I think the Lakers would win as they will be unstoppable inside and more unpredictable since they have good outside shooters already.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 30, 2023, 11:48:03 AM
IMO, it's not a mistake, it's a missed call. Because if there was probably a call then they can challenge it if they see the ref making a mistake.
I felt bad when I saw it too, and judging from Lebron's reaction it could've been a big one if only the ref whistled. I won't be too judgmental with the refs though just like what they are doing in the trends, they had been calling and1's on Lebron's favor a lot of times and that's the only miss they made. Bad timing only as it was a crucial part.

Agree with you, it was a miss call and they cannot revert anything since there was no call at all. Lebron was furious because he knows he got hit and sure expecting a call on that drive, I'm pretty sure the fans also sees that and not happy with how the home team won the game, that game will not be forgotten and refs will always be blame.
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you into crypto at the moment? on: January 27, 2023, 01:09:40 PM
Doing this for several years, I can't really say and prove that investing in crypto is not a failed investment but a successful one. Despite the unstable situation, and the up and down, still we can find a way to make money. Not actually we called it a passive income but you can really feel that your money will grow.

That is why I suggest people come and try doing this as long as you can afford to lose. Might say that it was risky, yes it was but as long as you know what you are doing and can manage to hold, you will certainly earn some profit.
1116  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: January 27, 2023, 12:25:21 PM
It's a good idea if we borrow from a bank to invest in bitcoin, I suggest borrowing with a long term maturity, for example 3 years, I believe the potential for an increase in bitcoin is currently very large because there are many obstacles that can be overcome, of course, when we have 100% profit then the best thing and safe is paying off the debt so we can rest easy if something bad happens again.
A long-term loan is not really a good idea for me. You are paying too much interest in that case and with that span of term, it was not impossible that can be hard to repay it especially if you just rely on the profit that you get from investing in Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is profitable but we can't assure that every month we can have it and use it to pay the loan.
Honestly, it was easy to get a loan and make a promise to repay with them just because we have an investment but guess what, paying them back is quite hard.
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 11:10:49 AM
as we know, many people suggest investing in bitcoin because the risk is not too high.
but if we look at the market there are lots of people buying altcoins, and to be honest I also like to buy altcoins but there aren't many of them, and it's still my biggest investment in bitcoin. and to be honest even though investing in altcoins is risky but I always want to buy and the reason is because of the high pumping..
and I want to ask everyone what is your  for buying altcoins, is the reason the same as mine?
It was actually a practical decision but never I found it wrong. In fact, it was not also advisable to just invest in Bitcoin alone, investing in good altcoins is also profitable. It can't be denied that many people have gained a lot of profit from investing in hyped projects, they got too lucky about it and people got interested in doing this. As long as you are not investing dead coins, that is still fine.

Along with my Bitcoin, I have BNB and ETH in my wallet and plan to add some someday when the market had recovered. I'd just wait for the perfect time.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 27, 2023, 09:36:38 AM
SMB gets Bollick, NorthPort will get either Ross or Lassiter or probably both plus maybe draft picks. They gave Arwind to NorthPort and Cabagnot in TerraFirma so it's pretty obvious that this might happen again soon if Bollick will become a free agent.

So they will have a reunion with Arwind Santos. These players are not yet done, they can make the Northport team better, so let's make that trade happen. Bollick is probably preserve and they will not let him play because they don't want to risk their precious player for trade.
Well, that's what they are doing. They will end up in a farm team and will retire there as well. This is the cycle that SMB is doing.
Independent teams get good players and then they will put it into another independent team and then from there, they will get it and will trade either old or bench players.

Look at Munzon now. NorthPort got him in exchange to some bench players and draft picks I guess. In the next season which is the Philippine Cup, SMB or even Ginebra might get him in exchange for some bench players. The cycle goes on and on and on and there's nothing that the management can do to stop it which is a bit ridiculous if you will ask me.
That's why they are being criticize, but despite that, people are still watching the game especially if Ginebra will be in the Finals game. A casual fan would not understand what's happening inside, they just want to watch the game and cheer for their favorite players.  But if this kind of culture will continue, and a new league will emerge to be popular, maybe PBA will likely be affected and they'll be force to rebrand.

Nobody is talking about the debut game of the new import of Converge which is Jamaal Franklin.

He almost got a triple double with 42-11-8. Well, compared to Converge's first import which is Rusbatch, this plays far better than him, and with this win they might keep Franklin and will be their import. For now, Rusbatch is now on the reserve list of Converge. TerraFirma's import, Jordan Williams scored 46 points and it's good to see 4 other players scored in double digits in Dyip as well, but it wasn't enough to get the victory.

That was a huge number but unfortunately, they still lose the game, it was a close one though.
Next game will be TNT vs ROS, I think this one is also fun to watch.

1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 26, 2023, 01:41:40 PM
Interesting question but the answer is "we never know". I say this not because I'm doubted the potential of Bitcoin but due to the unstable movement of the market today, it seems to be the right answer. Of course, it will pump someday, no doubt about it but with the current situation, it is something we are in a level of confusion as to what will happen next. That is why we should be careful with the pump today, can't say it was a trap but must prepare for the possible dump to come.
1120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 26, 2023, 01:00:37 PM
Revenge trading is a type of emotional trading where an individual might make impulsive trades as a reaction to a previous losing trade or a series of losing trades, in an attempt to recoup the losses.

This type of trading can be dangerous because it is often based on emotions rather than sound investment strategies. It can lead to overtrading, which can cause further losses and a spiral of revenge trading.

A feeling that could bring us more losses, than profit. Because no matter how good you are at trading but once emotions have been controlling your mind, it sure it went wrong.  Traders must be emotionally strong and remain calm despite suffering losses. Chasing the amount that we have lose yesterday can't help anymore but can only bother us too much and can't think well and ruins our plan. So instead of doing this, better to correct our mistakes first as this is the best solution to take, not revenge and doubling your funds as it never works.
