1121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of altcoins on Bitcoin's early growth and adoption? on: February 16, 2023, 11:44:30 PM
Altcoins have made people rich. This means people who missed to invest good on bitcoin preferred altcoins. People who had chosen the right altcoins have benefitted good out of it. Altcoins have served as the best investment and as a good competence asset. If there were no altcoins the market wouldn't have flourished to this level.
1122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of holding Bitcoin in time of crisis on: February 16, 2023, 11:36:36 PM
Bitcoin is the best alternative way to save money, with Bitcoin you have control over your savings because it's your wallet and your key and you are your banks!
That's true and we have saw on how good it was for many crisis. Not just with these incidents from Turkey and Syria, not just with Ukraine and Russia but also even with a pandemic.

Although it's not for everybody that sees volatility isn't an opportunity. But for us that sees it as an opportunity is looking forward that it's one of the greatest asset that we can ever have.

Not just increasing in value overtime but also its characteristic as a deflationary asset is one we can bank on.
Agreed, not just the market fluctuation. Bitcoin being deflationary makes it best against the traditional fiat. The usage of bitcoin helps in all situations and we need to make use of the characteristics than just staying idle out of fear and with the mind that doesn't take risk.

Bitcoin have helped people all over the world at different circumstances through its growth as well as the volatile market that lets people earn something out of the difference between buying and selling unlike the market trend of bitcoin.

It seems like the West Indies can win the match by an inning as well. This is the second time Innocent Kaia scored high scored from his team, and almost everyone failed to score some decent runs. Captain Craig Ervine is still on the crease, but it won't make a difference if other side batters come and goes. Congratulations to Nyauchi for his maiden five-wicket haul. This is remarkable for his career, but he won't be happy with the match result as they are going to lose this match. Let's see if Craig Ervine can make a difference. At least bring back West Indies to the crease to score runs.
Zimbabwe trail 19 runs and three wickets left. So, this isn't going to be a innings win for West Indies. Craig Ervine is in good form scoring 69 runs out of 99 balls. There is no one to support as the bottom order is on the crease. Possibly the innings will reach maximum of 200 runs. Zimbabwe needs more improvement and West Indies bowlers are good form. Gudakesh Motie have bowled well in the second innings taking 4 wickets with an economy less than 3.5rpo
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: February 13, 2023, 11:27:17 PM
I guess most people were pretty excited when Musk bought out twitter.  Because they will be hoping that he will build crypto payments features on twitter, specifically Doge and some web integration 3. That includes some supporters and enthusiastic like CZ.  But so far, apart from restructuring the platform, censorship... we still don't know when?  Personally I guess Musk will accept bitcoin first?  the reason he needs value compensation for the loss of holding bitcoins in Tesla.
I'm not sure whether we're correct or wrong, it is really hard to analyse the billionaires mind. First of all he won't connect Twitter with cryptocurrency for some time period until the amount invested on Twitter was taken back. Right now he keeps adding more features and through that he makes it premium and tries to generate revenue out of it. Adding something of crypto to Twitter will boost the cryptomarket and this doesn't have much of impact over the Twitter.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People will choose bitcoins more if the number of cryptocurrency option is less. on: February 13, 2023, 11:23:22 PM
Do you agree that more people will choose to invest in bitcoins if there were not so many cryptocurrency choices although not all are good?

Bitcoin is unique.

Those altcoins are 99% crappy, and the 1% that is better is not even similar to bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the only one that is permitionless, borderless and censorship-resistant.

And people need it, and they will chase it.
Not to invest and become rich, but to protect themselves and their property.
Bitcoin will always be the people’s choice. Even if there are less or more altcoins around, people would always chase for bitcoin. Altcoins are just an option to the existing bitcoin, and bitcoin will always be the center of the crypto investment because simply it is the blood of the whole crypto market. Without bitcoin, the whole crypto market may seem useless and boring, just my thought.
Bitcoin will be the choice of the people. This doesn't mean people will have holdings in just bitcoin. People will be having bitcoin in a larger percentage against the altcoins. As stated the number of altcoins available in the market is just number as very limited number of altcoins were good at the market. There are people who prefer altcoins for the higher profitability, and those are high risk takers who prefer altcoins much more than bitcoin and such people are very low in number.
1126  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 13, 2023, 10:05:27 PM
Financial independence is achieved. When the wallet serves as one's own bank it is possible for the users to spend whenever required. This form of financial freedom is achieved through cryptocurrencies. Apart from this, people making an earning in the form of bitcoin too possible, but there is high risk as well as market won't be the same everytime to give stable earning.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: February 13, 2023, 10:01:17 PM
Adoption in terms of acceptance of bitcoin on different needs is happening good all around. Along with this users who prefer to spend on terms of bitcoin too have increased. When we talk of mass adoption, it isn't happening around. For this we need countries to legalize the usage of bitcoin and show interest same as El Salvador. For now we're at the beginning days and hope we'll experience good days in the coming years.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 13, 2023, 09:51:38 PM
So it was due to rain. I was wondering why West indies were 290 on day 2, there overnight score was 135. Still Zimbabwe is in trouble as West Indies have lead of 175 runs with 2 wickets and 3 days play left. Zimbabwe batting performance was impressive only in first innings of first test (as you mentioned) the subsequent 2 innings showed a complete failure of Zimbabwe batting lineup.
Zimbabwe had luckily scored well in the first innings of the previous test match. They had lost their 7th wicket in 192 runs. Then they added 187 more runs in the 8th and 9th wicket partnership. They would have lost the match if the first two days weren't affected by the rain. Looks like West Indies will easily win the second test match. I just placed a bet on West Indies to win with 1.34× odds.
Today lost nearly 45 overs but still conditions are under control as west Indies is doing good job and having 175 runs lead which can go till 200 as Holder is still at crease with Gudakesh Motie and these both done good job with this all now West Indies is on driving seat and having chance for win this second test match and series which is good for them before heading for their tour of South Africa for the two test matches.

After winning toss Zimbabwean choose to bat first which was nightmare for them as 27 years old from Guyana Gudakesh Motie ruin their all batting and having amazing figure of 7/37 in his second test match and bowled out home team under 115 after this impressive bowling West Indies having 290 for 8 after end of two days play which is going them good edge for winning this match.
Just the second day of the match over and West Indies already leading by 179 runs is really good. The match is in control of the West Indies team. Tomorrow somehow West Indies will end its innings with 200+ runs lead. Zimbabwe to the maximum could score 300 runs and the same too a dream. Probably the match reaches the result by the fourth day.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling safer than before ? on: February 13, 2023, 09:44:44 PM
What OP have mentioned is rare incident. Such incidents won't happen all around and connecting to that particular incident we can't term gambling to be unsafe. If I'm not wrong, the person who killed another seems to be a drug addict than a gambler. Compared to the past days it is secure around. Online gambling is much secure and much user friendly that anyone can play with ease.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pakistan Super League #PSL Discussion Thread on: February 13, 2023, 03:16:03 PM
With the glorious and magnificent opening ceremony PSL have begun. Now the first match is to begin shortly. Multan Sultans have won the toss against Lahore Qalandars and decided to bowl. The match being played in Multan will have more supporters for the home team. PSL is getting better every year. Hope more teams gets added in the upcoming season which makes the tournament even great.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 13, 2023, 05:48:53 AM
After watching the Indian women's team win against Pakistan yesterday. I remember how Pakistan lost to India in the T20 men's world cup. Till another match happens between these two teams, Pakistan would always remember two players for a long time. The first one is Virat Kohli and the second one is Jemimah Rodrigues. Both players single-handedly took away the match from Pakistan.

I would say the Pakistan women's team had a bit of bad luck. A target of 150 runs was a good enough target to win. But unfortunately, Pakistan was defeated. Jemimah Rodrigues performed well no doubt. But the performance of Pakistani bowlers was not good. They could not take any wickets in the first 5 overs. If Pakistan could have picked up wickets in the power play, India's gameplay would have slowed down a bit. India reached the target in just 19 overs due to Pakistan's bowling weakness and Jemimah Rodrigues' outstanding performance.
India lost its first wicket in the 6th over. By the time the run rate is just 6 rpo. Each and everyone were good with their bat, contributing atleast little runs when they're on the crease. Luck hadn't favoured Pakistan Women team and the bowling is poor other than Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal as they had the economy of 3.75 and 6.25 runs per over. Others who bowled in the match had economy higher than 10 which is poor in T20 cricket.

3rd Match Group A ICC Women T20 World Cup. Today's 3rd match is New Zealand Women's Cricket Team vs Australia Women's Cricket Team. The New Zealand cricket team won the toss and welcomed the Australian women's team to bat. Australia women's cricket team is very comfortable with batting. On the other hand, the New Zealand women's cricket team's bowling line-up is very weak. Looking at the game, it is believed that Australia women's team is likely to score 170 runs
New Zealand women cricket team was really weak in this match. Australian women cricket team made 173 runs and gave 9 wickets but if we go through the New Zealand team, so this team performed really bad and made only 76 runs and team got all outs. There are many mismanagement issues in the New Zealand team which they should resolve.
Hope New Zealand team will do its best to resolve. And Congratulations to Australian team. Smiley
New Zealand women's team is not very strong but they could have scored 100 plus runs if they tried but unfortunately they lost all these wickets with only 76 runs.  Meanwhile, Australia women's team set a target of 173 runs to New Zealand women's team.  The New Zealand women's team managed to collect good runs as long as they played.  But lost all wickets after playing only 14 overs.  Due to which they lost by a huge margin of runs. But the New Zealand women's team needs to train more
Right now it is Australia Women's and England Women's team that looks strong and the matches were watchable. Rest of the teams aren't that good in scoring. The match turns to be interesting if both the teams score better. Women's cricket are in its beginning days to the next level and by next World Cup we can expect good competence between every teams.
New Zealand's men's team is also not very good at cricket.  Because they are not trained very well. However I am not calling New Zealand too weak.
I can't agree with you in this point, buddy. It is true that current situation of New Zealand team in t20 format is not good. Because they lose some series recently. They perform well in the last world Cup 2021 They were runners-up that time,
I think their loss to India is because India took advantage of being the host. But at the end of the day New Zealand team is an unpredictable thing anything can happen and to come back is not impossible for them.

New Zealand is a strong and it performs good. Unexpected results would happen with any team and for the same we can't term them to be weak team. Don't connect to the loss with India in the recent T20 series. Same as the first T20 match against India, New Zealand wasn't able to perform in the second and third T20. If so, Australia too is a weak team, as they've lost badly against India in the first test match.

MOST WICKETS IN TEST BY INDIAN

  • Ravichandran Ashwin - 451 - Ranked 2nd
  • Ravinder Jadeja - 246 - Ranked 8th
Skipper Rohit mentioned something really interesting after the match, he basically said that these guys put a lot of pressure on him regarding who should bowl first and from what end as they are too good and want to touch milestones as quickly as possible lol. Tells you a lot about how competitive this duo is and still very good friends.

LOL! Going into the history book matters more to players in there short career span. How Rohit has been handling these guys shows how good his management skills are as a captain. I am not sure if other captains in the past had face such problems. This also proves how good these bowlers have been since they started their career.
Anil Kumble takes the first position as the leading wicket taker for India and 4th place overall. Ashwin have reached the 9th position as leading wicket taker overall in 89 matches. During his rest of the cricketing career possibly he would reach the maximum of 600 wickets. Among that he holds 31 five wickets haul and 7 ten wickets haul. In this Muthiah Muralidaran stands on the top with 800 wickets is 133 matches with 67 five wickets haul and 22 ten wickets haul. In upcoming days of cricket I don't think this record could be broken.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have life span? on: February 12, 2023, 07:12:56 AM
Bitcoin is completely backed by technology. When something developed with better technology than bitcoin, then bitcoin's survival might come to an end. But, for now there is no such technology and even the super computer doesn't have the capability to break the network of bitcoin. The record breaking quantum computer have got just 127 qbits which isn't enough. It requires qbits in millions to break bitcoin which could take generations or even centuries.

1136  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 10, 2023, 11:10:46 PM

Today is just 10th of February, we still have 4 days to the valentine so I think there is still an ample of time left for all the casinos interested in offering a promotion to their players to make a decision, there is what is called last minute surprise, it is a kind of surprise that comes when all hopes for it are gone, that is, a valentine promotion coming when everyone must have concluded that there will be no such promotion again.
So personal, I believe we all should expect some last minute surprise from some casinos on this forum, stake included maybe.

Some users think that the valentine event will be combined in the monthly bonus because the dates are close together
Was it just an email ''Happy Valentine's Day'' or was there another event that we don't know
But one thing for sure Stake has never missed a moment like this although there is no guarantee there will be a bonus  Roll Eyes
I don't think Valentine's Day have got something to do with gambling. If I'm not wrong, it'll be the monthly bonus that'll be sent by the day with Happy Valentine's Day email. Stake used to conduct promotions connected with special events. There is no such announcement in connection with February 14th
1137  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: February 10, 2023, 11:06:10 PM
It depends upon the purpose. If the need can be delayed then I'll hold and wait for the right time. Another thing if the amount need to be spend is very small, then I'll go for it unlike the market situation. Because the rise in the market too doesn't make big variation over the amount being spent. In all means it is good to spend often, because most of the users miss the opportunity looking for ath.
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 10, 2023, 10:58:57 PM

Politics have destroyed the true cricket spirit between Pakistan and India and they have literally killed yhe energy of all the cricket fans which is millions of them.
Although Pakistan cricket board is not as big and strong as India but Pakistan team is a strong and established team in terms of their game and quality .

It is true that we can't let politics to mix up with sports. When this happens, automatically things will take different dimension. Almost in each and every country we can see this happening. With India and Pakistan it is seen a level high. According to me what is happening with India and Pakistan doesn't seem to be wrong, because already there is political issues and border conflicts. So, whether it is India to Pakistan or Pakistan to India both need to be handled in a much safer way.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My ideals on how to promote Bitcoin in my locality on: February 10, 2023, 10:49:29 PM
The idea of the religious leader enlightening their followers about Bitcoin will make some of their followers trust and believe in Bitcoin. However, religion was not about enlightening people about BTC and I also believe most religious leaders cant be aware of the concept of Bitcoin until some of their followers introduce them to it. Meanwhile, I have once seen a church that accepts offerings and tithes in BTC I don't remember where I watch the video.
Spreading the word of bitcoin through the religious leaders will surely help with effective reach among the common people. As you've mentioned the core purpose of the religious leaders were not to spread the word of bitcoin. Even without such spread it is possible to see good level of cryptocurrency usage and acceptance within Nigeria. These days it is not possible to see religious leaders who are very loyal.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will lead the world currency market?? on: February 10, 2023, 10:40:31 PM
I assure you that bitcoin will never be able to lead the world monetary system. Our world is becoming modern day by day, there is a possibility that fiat will be replaced by digital currency, but it will be government generated money, not bitcoin or altcoins, government will never let that happen. Bitcoin acceptance is on the rise, but it will only stop as an alternative, an optional payment method, it will never be an official world currency.
I think in the future, it is more likely that bitcoin will be more of a gold-like asset than a payment method, even though it can be used for payments.

Do you really think it's that impossible knowing that Bitcoin's reach is global, while the US Dollar is only for a single (albeit huge and powerful) country? Bitcoin can easily beat the USD in terms of marketcap in the long term.

I agree, as far as I know that USD even though widely use is only a  legal tender to eight countries[1], so I think with the features of Bitcoin, it will eventually beat USD in terms of country that will accept it as a legal tender. It is that Bitcoin economy is still young so we might need a longer time for Bitcoin to start its climb on the ranking of global currencies.

If the market of Bitcoin matures, I also think that it can easily dethrone any top-ranking global currency

https://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/currencies.htm#:~:text=The%20US%20Dollar%20is%20the,Palau%2C%20Panama%2C%20and%20Zimbabwe.
Bitcoin needs time to take the lead. People aren't prepared enough to consider it as the primary currency on daily usage. To reach such a level it takes time and countries needs to be supportive. More countries making it legal tender makes way for the bitcoin to take lead of USD. In all means bitcoin is serving the world as an alternate and this needs to change.
