Another morning, Bitcoin back at 6800 ish. Wonder what it is with that number, better than 4k but not going up which is annoying.

Ah well, better than owning a thousand barrels of oil.

So driving my gas guzzling supercar at 130mph is a patriotic duty?
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 20, 2020, 08:17:52 PM
So, if I were to buy one of those contracts I would be forced to pay for the storage (which probably exceeds the value of the oil at this time) because that is on the contract. I mean, otherwise I could just buy a bunch of those contracts, pocket the negative difference and just default on the delivery.
Can't default and they will dump it in your yard.

Interesting reddit on an analysis of all these "grassroots" protests to open the Govt. Hint: It's gun nut astroturf...

Landlord goes to jail. Cool!
1206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2020, 03:50:02 PM
Why would you assume that?
If you have only 1800 confirmed positives but 80,000 people who we think had the virus (and thus would be positive) it stands to reason that the 80k are not reflected in the ~1800 count.

Unless 78,200 of them died between April 1 and today. Which would have made the death count number go up. Unless they all died of non COVID19 causes like being run over by aliens.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2020, 03:38:53 PM
Possible. Could also mean that 20% of those 80,000 are in the early stages and on the way to the ER in a week or so. That could pop up the death rate.

I don't think so.

The study said "by April 1".

Today is April 18 and the county have 1870 positives and 73 deaths.
Hm. So those 1870 positives do not include any of these 80,000 people. Interesting.

I ordered a bunch of booze with my last grocery delivery. They've been talking about allowing uber/doordash/etc drivers to deliver mixed drinks from bars lol
Anyway, it sounds like you've got enough to survive on.

Just keep in mind that if you find an "Is AA right for you" pamphlet in your empty recycling bin then you might want to stop and think for a bit...

Meantime Bitcoin is at 7254 and the litecoin/bitcoin spread is at a solid .006. Which means bitcon and alts are rising in sync.

good

What's interesting me right now is the recent pops in the rate. I thought it might start to level off or go down but with 3856 coffins yesterday vs. 1500 a few days ago in the "saddle" I think it's not going down.

Side thought: Prep work ahead of a disaster can buy time. Right now I believe it's a very bad idea to go out in public for supplies. Having proper respirators gives you a few weeks of extra time to go out and keep your supplies peaked in case we hit Day 6 and grocery stores are closed hard. That will probably last a month so you need a month of food to ride it out. Not a good time to run out of food.

Seeing the first whispers of Day 6 now with pork and other meat processing plants shutting down. If this happens and they can't do their work with proper quarantine distances then things could get complicated in a month or so. We shall see....

Don't think I have forgotten, Ibian. I'm still waiting on your wonderful prediction of "millions of people to die" from Covid-19 to come true. Are we still on track for "millions and millions dead"?

Or is it, better luck next year?
Well, in the US it looks like we went from 150 or so total deaths total on March 19th to 37,000 by April 19, 2019. If this thing takes 4 weeks to kill someone then we may see some interesting numbers by May 19.

Any good sites for statistical breakdowns on the dead (religion, age, affiliation, etc)? I'm really curious to see if this is taking out the boomers and if so where and how.

They mesh up exceptionally well..... Giving them drugs, taking their lives away.....
1213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2020, 12:24:44 AM

Nice! Thanks for turning me on to this.
1214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2020, 12:18:36 AM
yup.

remember when shopping was fun?
Yeah. At this point I won't go into a store without a P100 respirator. It shows I'm a person who thought ahead, but I really thought it would be nuclear particles I would be filtering, not biological. Go figure.

Now the real question: Why do women in masks turn me on? Do the Saudis have some sort of fucking point there?
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2020, 01:11:33 PM
You can say anything like that before we get final numbers. Maybe their GDP will decrease the same as everywhere else. Maybe number of dead will be same as everywhere else. We will have to wait a year to get all those numbers straight.  All countries that did very strict quarantine will get fucked big if vaccine will not be here and available before winter.
I will say this will be one of the most interesting social and technical experiments ever: We get to see in real time which philosophies work, which are bunk, and just how clear and pretty the skies can get.

Don't go out for an AtM machine......

Yah, but how else can I obtain bitcoin? Living in the US it's not easy. Ideas?

(And I've never done it before)
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2020, 02:10:30 PM
Looks like the Trump Bump airdrop is finding its way to Bitcoin. Good.

Or bad. I need to get this crap into bitcoin and by the time I get the money cashed and put into the bitcoin machine it will probably be way high.

Bitcoin ATM machine goes Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
1218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2020, 10:39:50 AM
What's the point in trying to find a work if you receive USD 2,000 per month?
Just move to (holy shit, what are these tracking elements in this URL???)Mississippi and live as a  King.

Have you been to Mississippi?

Also 2k is beans in terms of amount to live properly on. Especially if the USD is going to crap. The bigger problem is my salary wull soon have the buying power of a pakastani bricklayer.

I am watching for the Western MSM narrative to sour on China in the next weeks, then we will know it is on.

Fox is running with the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab accident angle tonight.

So they dropped the "Chinaman fucking a bat" angle? Hm....
