1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why martingale is PURE SHIT. on: August 27, 2018, 12:11:50 PM
I still think martingale is good in theory but casino limits make it unfeasible.  If there were no max betting amounts a billionaire could walk in and clean out a casino.  The chances of losing 30+ times in a row is extremely small.

I never use this strategy myself, I would rather just place a few big bets.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about NEM? on: August 27, 2018, 12:05:29 PM
For a long time I want to buy this asset, the more so the price is very attractive.
Are NEM's capabilities in demand now and in the future?
The only thing that confuses me is the small trading volume among the top 20 (not including tezos)

I would put the majority of my money into bitcoin and eth.  There are too many coins right now and a lot of competition. Nem looks decent, but the low volume is concerning and the fact that all alts have taken a brutal beating.  Your fine leaving some money int NEM but keep a large portion of your money in stable well known coins.
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep your coins physically secure? on: August 27, 2018, 11:36:26 AM
You can have the best security in the world but you are always at risk of a $5 wrench attack.  For those that don't know this is just a term for a physical attack by someone to get what they want.  How many of us wouldn't give up our crypto over threat of death of ourselves or a family member.  This is why you should be secretive about your personal life if you are holding a large amount of crypto.

1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do these gambling sites make good money? on: August 23, 2018, 01:34:19 PM
And is it worth trying to recreate one? I would imagine it's already too saturated. Either way, I was mostly curious about how much these guys actually make (margin-wise). If anyone had some insight on this, I'd love to hear.

They do make a fair amount of profit but there is a lot of competition right now especially with online gambling because there isn't much barrier to entry.  It's much more difficult to open a real life casino compared to an online one for obvious reasons.  New online gambling sites have trust issues and problems building a playerbase.  Most of the games have a very small house edge so the house is operating on a very slim margin.
1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Wallet Keys and Passwords should be known to you and you alone. Yes! But... on: August 23, 2018, 01:24:09 PM
This is one of the greatest things about crypto , if you own the keys you have 100% control over the bitcoins in that wallet.

The best thing to do is to set up a multi sig wallet between 2 or 3 family members so one person alone can't steal the coins.

I know a lot of men that wouldn't even trust their own wife.........
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin go under FBI investgation on: August 22, 2018, 03:53:55 PM
I don't think the FBI is concerned about bitcoin.  Cash is still more used in shady black market deals than bitcoin is.  They go after crime, FBI is not interested in targeting a digital currency.  The SEC is the group that will be investigating ICOs and fradulent cryptos.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: August 22, 2018, 03:28:31 PM
I prefer to place many small bets instead of a few large bets, that way I get more bang for my buck.  I'm never the type of person to go all in, too stressful unless you only have a small bank roll.

I've gone through some pretty bad losing streaks in the past but it always turns around if you play long enough.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons behind Bitcoin/Cryptomarket fall??? on: August 22, 2018, 02:53:24 PM
I keep telling people that it's all a whale manipulation imo. The whales are playing with the poor souls and acquiring more cheap bitcoins while everyone is panicking. I expect by the end of the year BTC to reach at least 10k and more, but no new ATH record. We will see a new ATH as well, but it will be in the next years.

I don't think it will take very long to reach a new all time high, my prediction is 25k by the end of this year.  You would have to be a fool to sell at these cheap prices, whales are playing with us right now.   We have seen this situation play out time after time.  Whales bring the price up, dump, then keep repeating the cycle.  Right now they are in the accumulation stage before the next big pump.

1270  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: August 22, 2018, 02:35:59 PM
It's a real hassle trying to wire money to another country, banks will ask you a lot of questions.  You are not even in control of your own money with a bank.  The bank has the final say on everything, they can freeze your accounts whenever they want and block any transactions they don't like.  The central banking system has a  controlling grip on our lives but bitcoin will help us to break free of it.
1271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to earn some ethereum. How could I? on: August 22, 2018, 02:14:31 PM
I want to earn some ETH. How could I earn some ETH? Is there any website which will pay in ETH? Or is there any source of work, which will pay ETH as payment? Help me...

Go around to local businesses and ask if they would be willing to hire you.  Take your weekly pay and buy ethereum while the price is cheap.  I'm not sure why you are asking a question with such an obvious answer, no one will just hand you eth from the sky, you have to work for it.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 22, 2018, 02:04:32 PM
The manipulative whales will continue to play their games, they pump up prices then dump their bags and they spread fud and buy up cheap coins.  New investors continue to fall for these tricks and it will continue until there are more regulations in cryptocurrency.
1273  Economy / Speculation / Re: 🔥🔥When is the right moment to buy BITCOIN?🔥🔥 on: August 21, 2018, 02:55:16 PM
Time in the market beats timing the market,  in my opinion the best time to always buy is now.  We wll know the market will grow over time so it's better to just buy and hold.  Some of my friends that are invested in cryptocurrency constantly check prices every five minutes just like that picture, lol.

No one can predict these market swings unless they are a big whale that has a hand in manipulating prices by setting up sell/buy walls to scare newbs.
1274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term vs. Long term investments on: August 21, 2018, 02:41:07 PM
I prefer long term investments over short term.  It's much easier for myself mentally to check out of the market and not worry about prices everyday.  I only invest in solid projects that have a real future with a high potential return.  I don't let the negative news or bad rumors stress me out.
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's on: August 21, 2018, 02:33:26 PM
The few I've seen in my area had high fees and had a small maximum amount you could purchase.  Right now bitcoin AtMs are not very appealing but at least they are helping more newbies get introduced to cryptocurrency.  We would be better off with more fiat to btc exchanges instead of high fee ATMs.
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain without Bitcoin, is it going to happen? on: August 21, 2018, 02:27:53 PM
Without the financial incentive blockchain wouldn't have become this popular.  People come here for the gains but stay for the technology.  The whole point of blockchain is to be decentralized and not hage one person in complete control of the ledger like how the banking system works.
1277  Economy / Economics / Re: it is possible fiat currency will crashed? on: August 21, 2018, 02:20:13 PM
We have already seen the hyperinflation disaster in Venezuela and Turkey is having a really bad inflation problem as well.  I do not trust fiat currency and I would only keep a small portion of my money in fiat just for daily spending.  Government spending has gotten out of control with all the debt, there is not enough money in the world to pay off all the debt on the books.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a scam ? on: August 21, 2018, 02:09:05 PM
Only play on gambling sites that have a good reputation, great customer support, and have fair games.  There has been a lot of scam gambling sites that have popped up this past year.  Just make sure to do your research and reviews from legit players and it's easy to separate the good sites from the bad ones.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is at bottom or we will see movement downward ? on: August 21, 2018, 02:00:04 PM
I know prediction of the price is a B...CH Smiley especially in Crypto market. But  I would like to know your opinion about ETH movement, Do you think we have a room to go downward or we are at the bottom.  I am new to crypto (however reading a lot) so your opinion matters. . It will not influence me to make any financial decision but to broaden my info.

I think the bottom is already in for ETH. Right now the price is extremely cheap, it hasn't been this low in over a year.  I'm buyin up a lot of ethereum at this price and I expect to at least triple my money by the end of this year.  Eth is always considered the 2nd best cryptocurrency investment behind bitcoin so you cant go wrong.
1280  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: August 21, 2018, 01:53:13 PM
A lot of people that become wealthy forget about poor people and they become more concerned with material possessions.  Even the billionaires that give to charities usually do so for good publicity, if someone truly wanted to be a generous human being they would donate anonymously.  I believe we all rely on each other in this society and we are only as strong as our weakest link.
