1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High Leverage Bitcoin Exposure on: November 22, 2022, 12:26:27 PM
I remember the QuadrigaCX collapsing too. AFAIK, the CEO of it, another young guy who has traded the deposited money of their users too. I think it's a good idea to know from these exchanges who are also betting with their depositors money through margin/leverage trading.

Let others say whatever they want, but to me, Quadriga smells even more like a classic exit scam after I watched a documentary about that case a few months ago. That CEO went to India and died there, and the only ones who saw his body were a doctor and supposedly the deceased's wife.
Before he went to India, it's said that he's been playing with their users fund transferring here and there trading with leverage on other exchanges. And that might be the reason why he went to India and did what he has to do. This is where the different theories and conspiracies comes in about him having a facial surgery to runaway from the ruckus he has left.

As for all those CEOs who are intoxicated with the billions of dollars they keep, I think that few can resist doing something illegal, especially if they know how hard it is for someone to discover them until everything goes downhill.

An interesting infographic perhaps best shows some things.

Those that have the ill intention will eventually have to think their plans if they want to execute the same thing as what Sam and crew did. I guess on this age, the most transparent companies will be the ones that will be trusted by most investors.

But, they can't blame many of us if we're no longer putting trust to any of them.
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High Leverage Bitcoin Exposure on: November 22, 2022, 10:41:54 AM
In the wake of the FTX collapse, I am curious to know where someone can find a list of companies who have leveraged positions in bitcoin.

I know this might not be public knowledge unlike microstrategy where @saylor tweets about it but it think it would be very interesting if someone can find a few examples.

With FTX, Blockfi, Genesis, all collapsing It makes one wonder how many more dominoes will fall that had exposure to FTX or High lev BTC ?

For example thoughts on smaller exchanges like kucoin and gate or firms like Grayscale?
I remember the QuadrigaCX collapsing too. AFAIK, the CEO of it, another young guy who has traded the deposited money of their users too. I think it's a good idea to know from these exchanges who are also betting with their depositors money through margin/leverage trading.

Since it's like a free money to them, they can make money out of thin air if ever they win with the money they used for leveraging and just return it without giving notice to their poor and innocent users.
1283  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: November 21, 2022, 10:40:40 PM
A lot of bad incidences happened in crypto community this year including:

1) FTX
2) Luna
3) Gemini Earn
4) Celcius
5) Voyager
6)BlockFi

All these incidences happened because of the greed of some people. It is important to control the entry of these kind of people as developers or people behind some new crypto projects. Otherwise people will have very less trust left on crypto in general and people will move to other alternatives. What do you think are the required steps to prevent these incidences from occurring in future ? Or are these unavoidable ?
The fact that crypto is for everyone, it means that anyone can be their own developer. We can't control people like them to get in or out from the market.

What we must do is to equip ourselves with basic knowledge and understanding about the possible red flags that one can be seen as a CEO or owner of any project.

We don't know when a project will turn the other way because of the poor management and attitude of its CEO.
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BITCOIN BUY INDICATORS on: November 21, 2022, 09:41:59 PM
4 Real BITCOIN dominance is closer to the bottom of this cycle (60%). Top dominance was 85% in 2019( after 2016). I dont expect we hit 85% again, but we are much more away from this levels..
Where people look for the real dominance of bitcoin? Coinmarketcap shows 38.5% while Coingecko shows 37%. So, right now, it's likely ranging from 37% to 38% for the bitcoin dominance.

I'm not expecting as well to see that much dominance for the next bull run. AFAIK, last bull run the highest that I've seen for btc dominance was like around 70%.

So I see more potential to buy BITCOIN now than altcoins
True to that and we're in a bear market, cheap bitcoins are there and they're on the sale.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Roshtein fake money streamer or not? on: November 21, 2022, 08:45:47 PM
I don't follow the guy but if it's about streaming gambling contents. It's the same as the crypto contents that don't believe whatever they're playing with and advertise.

They're all for the views and that's common in the streaming community because they just want to get all the views from everywhere that they can.

But whether it's real or fake if he's been entertaining a lot, that's one of his goals why he's streaming aside from making money from gambling and from the stream he do.
1286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 21, 2022, 07:58:36 PM
A few days ago, Elon Musk responded to a friend's tweet saying that the price of BTC may increase by the end of winter.  He also asked everyone to be patient.  It means that the future of BTCL is very bright and its price will increase.  We are all waiting for this winter to end and the market to return to its previous form.  InshaAllah the price of BTC and digital currency will return to the previous room thanks
Well, that makes sense.

If he said that it's by the end of the crypto winter. Then, that means that it's going to be done by the end of the bear market which obviously makes that bitcoin will literally going to increase by that time.

The price of bitcoin for sure will have its moment back to the top again and while we're looking at it from the bottom now. Because the price has hit $15,700 again.
1287  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: November 21, 2022, 03:02:06 PM
I think everyone want to trade because they want financial Independent.
We all want to be financial independent and free and because of the stories that have seen to be successful in trading, everyone has got an idea that trading could be their way.

Some people trade because they want crypto to be most valuable thing in future. Some people trade to make money and savings. In life not everyone will be rich.
They see crypto as a way and they don't mind whether it will be something valuable or not. But what they look at is the current situation of it for which is profitable if they trade accordingly and properly.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ApeCoin vs Sandbox on: November 20, 2022, 11:37:47 PM
The project SandBox seems more promising. For me, ApeCoin is just an attempt to capitalize on the dying NFT Bored Ape hype. When viewed from the perspective of development, SandBox is much better. In contrast to ApeCoin, it is a serious project.
That's really why Apecoin has been made, there's still the hype for BAYC when it was made and that has generated a lot of money to the developers of it.

There could be benefits and use cases for the owners and holders of it but I just don't want to buy into the hype. Sandbox and Apecoin are into Metaverse but the attention there is decreasing.

While I also see the development for sandbox if it's only between these two as choices, I'll go for sandbox.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A reminder about the media on: November 20, 2022, 10:47:35 PM
Follow only and extract those that are helpful not just to get those information but also for your mental health.

The market has been stressing and many can't think properly when they're already invested that much to it. Well, the experience ones will just endure everything to it.

But the concerning are the new ones. It's true if the media is just adding stress to your mental health, don't follow them, unfollow all of them and free yourself from being attached to rumors, hypes, good and bad news.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching my nephew about Bitcoin on: November 20, 2022, 09:45:44 PM
Guys, I hope I was not wrong to think this knowledge was good for his age. I hope to hear your opinions.
You're not and you're doing it good and right. Little knowledge is dangerous and that's why you have to teach almost everything you know to your nephew.

At a young age, he'll be more open to the ideas about the real world and that's why it'll inspire him at least if there will be an impact of this effort you've done to him.

If there's not, that's okay because soon he will still remember the day you've taught him about it.
Anything that shows dedication on sharing up valuable information or things specially into his/her relatives is something that commendable on every way.
Its true that everything should be taught although its on exemption when it comes to technical aspect since it would really be a mind blowing thing or something
these young minds couldnt be able to comprehend. This is why it would really be that mindful whether you would be teaching the most simplest
way on understanding basing or according to his capability on learning up new things.
I've experienced before that it's not really a good thing to share things with your relatives because you don't know if they've got pure intentions. And also, they might think the same as you if you've got pure intentions of what you do.

That's why I try to avoid something like this based from what I have experienced before. But still salute to those folks that are not selfish and still gives to the people that they want to share their knowledge about bitcoin.

I'm not selfish but this time, I've not just randomly talk just as before even if I'm talking to my neighbors or relatives.
1291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: November 20, 2022, 08:50:40 PM
Those that have been with the 2018 bear market and now experiencing to see the bear market. We're not that worried much because we're looking at the great turn around of the market for which the possible lowest at these times was the ATH on 2017.

I'd say that if this is going to continue for at least a year or two, we will definitely see a different bull run again by the time it comes again. And I'm sure that all of us are going to love it and those that experienced this as their first bear market, they'll for sure going to lock their profit if that time comes.
1292  Economy / Economics / Re: Notable people on current and upcoming economic issues - should we be worried? on: November 20, 2022, 07:50:19 PM
I think that makes sense if they're aware of something that's about to happen and like a recession to be specific. They're making it look that they've got insiders and understands what's about to come.

We can take it seriously but if you doubt what they say, you can add some effort to do researching just to get yourself be prepared of anything that will happen.

For those people that have multiple sources of income, they wouldn't worry about it at all especially those that have been tested and saw that they've got pandemic and crisis proof sources.
1293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 19, 2022, 10:29:26 PM
It's just another analysis that has been broken and that's okay. In most of them, there's no perfect analysis and indicator and just as this indicator shows that it has been broken.

The others have also shown the same thing.

This is the nature and beauty of bitcoin, no one can ever predict perfectly what will happen in the future. And that's why if people are telling that it will go to zero, believe them not and just think of the unexpected price to rise soon.

1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: St. Kitts and Nevis legalize Bitcoin Cash (BCH) as a means of payment on: November 19, 2022, 08:29:14 PM
I still think the idea of adopting crypto as a legal tender is a bit too early and erratic. It can plunge a whole nation into all sorts of problems. Also if the network or Blockchain is flawed, then the real danger materializes. Example is Bukele's experiment with Salvador with bitcoin
If they choose the wrong crypto as a legal tender then they're really going to be bound for failing.

You're right, just as crypto, the adoption of crypto as a legal tender is still on its infancy but we'll never see the drawback of it if there are no countries that would try it.

In El Salvador, the president believes on bitcoin and I guess this will be the same for other countries who have their own belief and favorite cryptos to adopt as a legal tender.
1296  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: November 18, 2022, 11:41:28 PM
This user is a scammer, he wrote me a private message suggesting to ask bgaming about the report because he has a friend who works there,
When someone offers a help and tells that he's got a friend from that company, that's already the sign for me as a red flag. I've been into many casinos and exchanges and I have experienced that personally.

Update at November 18, 2022, 12:19:52 PM ,

OWL.games canceled my first $10k withdrawal and asked me to make $2k first,

2k withdrawal already received.
and 8k payout is pending confirmation.

https://ibb.co/0tqpqw9
Let's wait for it but I have that feeling that it will proceed. However, did they say any reason why it has to be withdrawn in batches and you have to take the $2k first out of the whole $10k?
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In trading and Investment you need to know one thing on: November 18, 2022, 10:52:50 PM
That's so true.

Even the experienced traders are also getting mistakes and losing more than they have before. They're having the courage that they haven't got before and that's why they're eager to spend more time and larger capital because of what they've experienced before.

But not at all times their trades are winning. Analyzing the market is important whether you'll trade or will just hold it.
On the time that you had really gained that much experience and awareness on how this market moves or behaves then it would really be just normal that you would really be that able to know on what to do.

Yes, it doesnt really guarantee that you would make money or profits because this market is never been predictable on the first place.Trading could always be investing but only into a point which you do

really make a hold of a certain coin or asset. You could really be able to differentiate in between things basing on the action that you are really that making.
This is why its better to learn up things along the way on the time you've been keeping on doing trades.
You'll also get to see on what you really are when you start trading, it's either you're an actual trader or just like to hold and be the passive investor that others have been doing.

Its about knowing everything, trading is not just about the whales because some whales are also losing money. Trading will more about the news, price trend and the chart analysis so if you will just focus about the whales movement, you might miss a lot of things. Losing is part of trading, all you have to do is to be more consistent with your trades, and avoid being hyped by any tokens or coins, stay within your strategy.
Yeah, those are the fundamentals that every trader should be aware of. You can be good at any of them but not good with most of them. But to be aware and balance with most of those fundamentals, it's one key to your profitable trades.

^This proves that there is no expert in trading nor investing, you cannot perfectly predict the market price where it will lead.
Analyzing the market to have accurate prediction is not easy, you need to have different sources from technical and fundamental analysis before you can guess but don't assume all of these are accurate, it seems it is the same guessing the market price.
However, I would rather choose to invest and hold it for the long run, I know BTC will always reach ATH and it will always happen in the market.
We do and have the same preference. I've been trading and active on before but became not that much active when I've started to realize that it's easier to be an investor and less stress on what it does.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: November 18, 2022, 09:53:15 PM
And with this I finish all the currencies are a scam(meaning that the price can disappear) for me, personally  the legit ones they are btc and tether.
Tether is also centralized just as the thing you've said about all other currencies are a scam. It's pegged to dollar and there have been questionable issues were it has been involved of.

Thus, if you have a Tether, you probably have heard of it when they've frozen those funds that have came from hacked funds. It's not all about the hack funds but their ability to freeze anyone's Tether on addresses.
1299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In trading and Investment you need to know one thing on: November 18, 2022, 07:51:56 PM
The ability to analyze should not depend on the situation on the market, the analysis should just help determine the further movement of the market, if success in this is not very good, then you need to devote more time to learning. It is not easy and even experienced traders can make mistakes, some try to trade only in a growing market, how many people - so many strategies can be.

1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD I GO AHEAD TO BUY AND HOLD SOLANA? on: November 17, 2022, 11:42:55 PM
There was a mass hack that has been made on Solana and it's 8000 wallets that have been compromised. If you think that it's manageable and won't happen again in the future then buy them up.

Solana Hack — 8,000 Wallet Hacked, Approximately $8millions

Hacking attack drains £5m from 8,000 wallets linked to Solana crypto network

I'm not optimistic when something like this has already occurred to a project but I still see it at the top and many still likes it.
