1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Evolution of human life and what that future holds for BTC? on: January 17, 2023, 10:25:48 PM
The future of money and the economy is hard to predict, but it will be shaped by the complex interplay of technology, societal changes and government policies. It is likely that we will see a shift towards digital forms of money and financial transactions, such as cryptocurrencies and digital wallets. This trend has already begun, with the advent of digital payments and the continuing rise in popularity of cryptocurrencies. A number of governments around the world are considering introducing their own national digital currencies, which could be accepted as legal tender alongside more traditional forms of money.

However, it is unlikely that physical cash will disappear altogether. Especially in poorer countries, where banking infrastructure is less developed, cash remains the most widely accepted form of payment. Many people also prefer to use cash for certain transactions because it offers greater privacy than electronic forms of payment.

My opinion is that the future of money is likely to be a hybrid, with physical cash and digital currencies coexisting for many years. The key question is whether governments will allow people to use both forms of money, or whether they will force them to choose between the two.

1303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i am a housewife want to invest in bitcoin on: January 17, 2023, 07:15:20 PM
It is never too late to invest in Bitcoin, as long as you understand the risks involved. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can be highly volatile; their price can fluctuate greatly in a short period of time. It is important to do your own research and understand what those risks are before making any investment decisions. Since you are new to the world of cryptocurrency, it is best to start small. You do not need a lot of money to invest in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies; you can get started with just a few dollars. As your knowledge grows and your confidence builds, you can increase your investment over time. It is also important to invest only what you can afford to lose and diversify your portfolio, that way, if one investment does not work out as planned, you will not lose all of your money.

It is ultimately your decision whether to invest in bitcoin or not, but it is important to be well-informed before making any investment decisions.
Welcome to the forum, by the way.
1304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2023, 11:13:50 PM

Whether we like it or not, manipulation really happens but we never make this as an excuse not to trust Bitcoin and we have to stop thinking that it was already controlled by a group of people (whales).

I agree, manipulation in all financial markets, including the cryptocurrency market, is an unfortunate reality. But don't let it cloud your judgement, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are like the wild child of finance, they have the potential to change the game and shake things up. And that's something worth getting excited about.
1305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My friend who work with Stable coin project asking advice suggestions on: January 15, 2023, 08:48:24 PM
But will the government really use a layer1 or 2 platform of today?

Exactly. It is hard to say exactly how governments will approach the development and implementation of their official digital currency, but it is likely that they will consider a variety of factors such as security, scalability, adoption... Some governments may prefer to use existing blockchain platforms, while others may choose to develop their own proprietary technology. Ultimately, the specific technology used will depend on the specific requirements and goals of the government and the stablecoin project, however, I doubt that any of them will resort to a solution based on recommendations to someone's request on a public forum.
1306  Other / Meta / Re: How many forum members do you know by real name? on: January 15, 2023, 07:05:49 PM
I voted "0" because even though I am familiar with some members' real names, either because they made it public or used it in their nick, I cannot verify the truth of their claims, thus I believe my vote was correct. Perhaps a more accurate question should be: "How many forum members do you know in real life?".
1307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the Whales Control bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2023, 06:35:12 PM
If a group of large Bitcoin holders, referred to as "whales," were to own 51% of the total supply of Bitcoin, they would have significant influence over the price of Bitcoin, as they could potentially manipulate the market by selling large amounts of their holdings at once. However, they would not have control over the Bitcoin network itself as they would not have the majority of the mining power which is required to to double spend or reverse transactions, and potentially manipulate the integrity of the blockchain. Thus, decentralization would still exist as the network relies on multiple participants to validate transactions and confirm blocks.
1308  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Journey with Type-2 Diabetes on: January 15, 2023, 09:43:41 AM
Type 2 diabetes just happens in obese people, and it is very strange not to notice your excess weight.
<...>

I disagree, it is not entirely accurate to say that being overweight is the sole risk factor for developing type 2 diabetes. It is similar to saying that only overweight people experience cardiac arrest or that only smokers contract lung cancer. It is not accurate and oversimplifies the issue.

While it is certainly a contributing factor, there are other factors to consider such as genetics, family history, as certain genetic predispositions can increase the likelihood of developing the condition. Additionally, age and race also play a role, as people of certain ethnicities are more likely to develop type 2 diabetes, and the risk increases as one gets older.

If anything, from my personal experience, I can confidently say that my father never struggled with weight issues, in fact, he led a very active lifestyle and was quite athletic throughout his life. It is safe to say that obesity was never an issue for him.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am looking for an ALT coin algorythm thats proof of stake enviornmentaly frien on: January 14, 2023, 09:27:29 PM
I heard they will pass laws banning the mining of bit coin in america because its to bad for the enviornment so I was looking for a proof of work coin so if someone say leaves the PC on they can get paid little by little.

are all proof of work coins the same? are the as safe as proof of work?

Your title says one thing, but in your post you ask for another, what are you really looking for?

By the way, where did you get the information about the plan to ban bitcoin mining? Are you sure it's not just fake news?

My father was diagnosed with type-2 diabetes years ago, and since then he has had to make many lifestyle changes to manage his condition. He has had to make changes to his diet, cutting out sugary and processed foods, and increasing his intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. He also had to start exercising regularly, aiming for at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. In addition to lifestyle changes, my father has also had to start taking medication to help manage his diabetes. He has been using insulin injections and oral medications to control his blood sugar levels. With the help of his healthcare team, he has been able to adjust his medications as needed to find the right balance for his body.

Managing diabetes is not easy, and there are still days when he struggles. But, he is determined to take control of his health and live a long and healthy life. My father's experience with type-2 diabetes has taught me the importance of self-care and self-management. He has shown me that with the right mindset and the support of loved ones, anyone can successfully manage their diabetes and lead a full and satisfying life.
1311  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trying to scam by the name of KYC on: January 14, 2023, 05:22:35 PM
Wow, I have never come across something like this before. It is quite impressive how resourceful scammers are becoming. I would definitely recommend reporting this to Freelancer.com customer service, as it goes against their rules and guidelines.

By the way, I noticed you previously mentioned sending a copy of your ID card to him. In my opinion, it is best to avoid sending personal information to anyone, even if they seem trustworthy, as there are many potential risks and negative consequences that could result from doing so.
1312  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Address poisoning scams on: January 13, 2023, 09:12:52 PM
Yes. The idea of a scam that depends on the victim copying addresses from their transaction history may seem far-fetched and unlikely to succeed, but people lose money in all kinds of ways. Some people will most likely fall for it if they're careless and stupid enough. I do not think we should give this too much thought. This is not the type of scam that can happen to anyone. As they say, a fool and his money are easily parted.
1313  Other / Meta / Re: (Another) Request: Cybersecurity board on: January 13, 2023, 07:54:58 PM
I like the idea. A dedicated board for discussing the latest threats, sharing tips and resources, and asking questions related to cybersecurity would be a valuable addition to the community. I do not see any negative side to this proposal.
1314  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot? on: January 12, 2023, 09:36:55 PM
I'd appreciate it if someone could make a plagiarism report (I would do it myself, here, but I'm late for something, and have to run).

Nice find, PowerGlove and LoyceV! I found another example and made a plagiarism report: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg61585468#msg61585468
I hope the spammer gets the permaban he deserves.

That is the best excavator, engineers! Please add an ExchangeCoin coin (EXCC, Equihash 144.5) to the excavator as I have a massive request for you. A wonderful coin is now being traded on coinexchange.io. There is now a lolminer, but he consistently underestimates the speed at which cards are hashed. Thank you very much in advance, and I sincerely hope you will heed my request. I apologize for my poor English; I use an interpreter.

Another example that PowerGlove discovered earlier:

Although some have claimed that the record ranchers may mishandle it, it will essentially make things harder for them, therefore we should be grateful for that!
Currently, all I need to do is come up with a few awesome presents to help me reach 150 legitimacy in the next two months, at which point my actions will raise my status. Tongue

Happy about the adjustment, perhaps there won't be as many postings about novices learning about ICOs in a string for a mineable coin with almost no ICO.

On a hunch, I searched that topic for "account farmers" (which was massacred into "record ranchers") and found the original post that the above nonsense was derived from:

It may be abused by the account farmers as said by others, but it will make it harder at least for them and that is a good thing!
Now i just need to come up with some high quality posts to gain 150 merit in the next two months when activity would rank me up Tongue

Happy for the change, maybe there will be less posts of the type newbie asking about ICO in a thread for a minable coin without any ICO Smiley
1316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 12, 2023, 08:30:14 PM
Even if the market is bearish, my faith in #BTC never wavers. I'm not just holding, I'm stacking sats! Because in a bear market, the strong-hand investors hold on to their investments. They hold on to them and wait for the market to recover. And with the #BTC's track record of resilience and growth, I have no doubt that it will bounce back stronger than ever.

Greetings everyone am so happy to be in this forum.

I agree, it is great to be a part of this community! I hope you will continue to stay involved, because it is always interesting to hear about other people's experiences trading in Bitcoin. For example, do you have any specific strategies that you follow? Also, do you have previous experience in trading?

Despite that I'm new and i haven't earn merit, but i believe with research and time i will earn merit, i will be happiest person the day i will earn a merit.

The question, though, is why. Why are you so concerned with earning merit?

You can still utilize most of the features on this forum regardless of earned merits or your rank. You can still post, create threads, and comment on other people’s posts. You can still ask questions and get answers from other members of the community. So why do you care so much?
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it scam/rugpull or not ($QUON token) ? on: January 10, 2023, 10:19:01 PM

I dont know that is it right place but if it's not feel free to move it to suitable place (sorry about that) Smiley

There is no need to post the same thing multiple times, you can move this topic yourself. Just use "move topic" command located below this current thread on the left and move it under: Economy > Trading Discussion > Scam Accusations

But it would probably be a good idea to present more evidence why you believe the $QUON token is a scam/rugpull. I have never heard of that project before and so any information you could provide would help my understanding.
1320  Economy / Economics / Re: My investments ahead of the 2024 halving 100% Bitcoin on: January 10, 2023, 09:57:13 PM
You yre a true Bitcoin believer! Some might say that you are "all in" on the digital gold.  Wink Your friends may see potential in other altcoins, but ultimately the decision to diversify your portfolio is yours. By holding the remaining 10% as savings, you are potentially leaving room for future opportunities. It is always good to have some flexibility in your investment strategy.
