What's good about these auctions is you now KNOW what the market will bear.

Don't get into making another batch unless they show up in a month at BTC0.75ish
1342  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 50 GHs Order for Sale on: September 19, 2013, 03:13:29 AM
Greetings,

I have a 50 GHs Single SC already paid for and the order is in processing by BFL, made in July, and the order number is 100072501. It hasn't yet been shipped. It can be upgraded to the Monarch.

My asking price is $2150. It can be paid via BTC or SWIFT bank wire transfer.

Payment is to be delivered in advance in full. I will ask BFL if it's possible to either transfer the order to your BFL account, or change the shipping address to yours. If neither is possible, I will ship it to you for free via DHL Express (air).

If you wish to upgrade to the Monarch, and it's not possible to move the order from my BFL account to yours, you'll have to pay me in full in advance, and I'll pay BFL to upgrade the order. We'll calculate the total cost at that time.

If we're to conclude this transaction, we'll use John K's escrow service: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=141672.0.

At current shipping rate you won't see this until Jan/Feb 2014

Thanks for the advice Joe. I will keep that in mind. They are for sale but they will continue to mine.

They are making about 19.25 coins a week.

That is awesome! 2 of them are paid for already!

Wish I was you!

In the mean time, in about 7 days you will be making 15 coins a week.

So if you want to recover some costs I'd like to offer BTC12 for one unit before the Diff changes again.

I think now its a question if you want to mine or sell.

Good luck.
1346  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ((IN HAND)) BFL SINGLES 60GH -- FREE SHIPPING in lower 48 **Price update!!** on: September 18, 2013, 10:19:31 PM

*Sale. You are right. I base my price on offers I have had. I will say that trying to work with people on here and in different countries is a challenge. Especially when people ask to be called and don't answer, or say they will take all of them and I say OK, never to hear back from them.

Right, like I said that person was never going to pay you. Please if you want to sell this then just look what people are PAYING not offering right now.

1347  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ((IN HAND)) BFL SINGLES 60GH -- FREE SHIPPING in lower 48 **Price update!!** on: September 18, 2013, 10:09:26 PM
Just curious.....who is going to pay (overpay) for your devices?

When from what i've read and research they are selling between 13BTC to 15BTC MAX

Seems like you're desperate to make your return back. Sometimes man you just have to roll with the punches and take the loss. I hope you sell them though, but I don't think placing a URL inside here will boost your sales. You came off pretty stand-offish when people made offers *what seemed to be decent*

Anyways good luck with sale/s

I responded to you right away. Not sure how I was standoffish?? I tried to call you 3 times!!!!!!!!!

I'm not upside down on these, this isn't a fire sell.

Its Fire SALE not fire sell,
and as long as you have them plugged in and hashing it will never be a fire sale because you paid $1250 for it and you will make your money back, question is when do you want to sell them.

At the current price the answer is "never"

Keep hashing!!!

1350  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 07:15:13 PM
I don't think the question as to whether they have missed their estimates was ever up for debate.

So what's stuck in your craw?

1351  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 06:31:20 PM
Josh posted today in response to a criticism of BFL product quality:

"So many arriving dsyfunctional? How do you figure? We've shipped over 10,000 units and we've had less than 100 come back for RMA. I'd say that failure rate is spectacular."

Even assuming all these 10,000 units shipped after 6 July 2013, that still only comes to an average production rate of 135 units/day.

They have never reached 400 units a day and have never claimed to.

1352  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 06:29:19 PM
They have 12 days left until their latest self imposed deadline.

one example of dozens.

Yeah and self imposed means just that.

This has always been about watching Josh miss his latest estimate.

You can call it whatever you like.

A Synonym for Deadline is "Target date" and Josh has used that term as well.

You want to get into semantics on the english language?

Josh has missed every:
Estimate
Target date
Dead line
Time limit
Calculation
Approximation
Guess

he has made for delivery of goods to his customers.

So pick the word which you would like us to use to describe his action when he, off the cuff throws a date out there and says "we will probably do XYZ by ABC" and we will see if you can use it.

Frankly I like the term WILD ASS GUESS because it describes his darts and calendar approach.

You know I would let his ass off the hook if just once he came out and said "Hey I got that wrong we aren't going to make that date"

But that will never happen.
1353  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 06:21:12 PM
No one said Josh "promised" anything.

If you read through this thread you will find your statement to be false. It has been repeatedly stated that this was a hard deadline by several of those posting. I was simply correcting them.

I will not argue the quality or reliability of those estimates as I consider them to be poor as well.

Provides quotes to that nature please.

Right in the OP you will see the word "Estimation"  (it's right next to the word lie ) if you have trouble finding it.

This isn't about promises.  Butterfly Labs and the word "promise" are/is an oxymoron"

As is BFL & Customer Service
        BFL & Communications
        BFL & FCC Certification
BFL & Compliance with the Law & FTC Guidelines.

You smell what I am steppin' in shill?

1354  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 06:07:58 PM
Send me 1BTC and I estimate that tomorrow I will send you back 2BTC. Good deal?
BFL have been estimating shipping date since 1 year.
Still waiting for quote.
Send me your bitcoin and I promise that the target is to send you back the double by tomorrow.

I have Rival ignored, so won't be responding to him directly, but hopefully this should suffice. Again, it was never more than an estimate; not disputing that.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=283853.0

"We are are working to fulfill our current order backlog as soon as possible. Our current estimate is by September 30 we should have most of our order backlog fulfilled. Your orders should ship in advance of that date."

What people take issue with, is it speaks to a pattern of consistently making mistakes when producing estimates.

This has been going on since November 2012 (Earlier than that if you count their first FPGA projects' missteps)

It's getting tired and pathetic at this point.

It's not mistakes. It's incompetence.  When you make an estimate and you are off on your first estimate by 3 months,
then with 3 weeks to go, you are again going to miss it by a few more months. That is just sheer incompetence.

I am pretty sure if you asked Josh to estimate what they would ship by the end of the week, he would miss it by 50%
1355  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 06:02:37 PM
Listen,

No one said Josh "promised" anything. The purpose of this thread is to show that even on 9/11/2013 Josh did not have enough situational  awareness to know that in less than 3 weeks he was not going to make his estimate of April 30th.

Josh has never made a promise ever. Period.

He has made one failed estimate after another.

On 7/7/2013 he estimated that he would have everything up until today (7/7/13) cleared by the end of September
On 9/11/2013 he revised that estimate to say that when he said "today" he meant all orders until the end of April 2013.

As expected he has already backpeddled from that statement and that is why he got the [FAIL] on his latest "estimate"

I will have my June 2013 ordered KNCMiner device before I get my April ordered BFL device.  JUST SAD.
1356  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 05:11:34 PM
75 198 days of Jalapenos to ship  [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
154 175 299 Days of Little Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
209 257 404 days of Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
311430 days of Mini-rig orders.   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]

749 product line days left to ship

They are shipping 21 product line days  (product line days is the combined amount of days of all products) on average each day.

They need 35 more days (shipping 7 days a week) to get to the end of April.  They have 12 days left until their latest self imposed deadline.

I am thinking Thanksgiving to clear all product lines to April 30th, then to end of February (just before Monarch) to finish.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-09-30+23:59:59UTC
1357  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 18, 2013, 05:04:41 PM

So tired of hearing "But guys, you can't make predictions because you don't know how many units ship per day!"

Anyway, my optimistic guess is that Singles and Little Singles make it out of 2012 by the end of September. Jallapenos are dead in the water with some bullshit excuse about outsourcing for shutting the line down. Minirigs... who knows. I've heard something about them shipping out singles equivalents to fulfill minirig orders because minirigs take too long to build (my guess is it's something related to testing and QA... you can pull low-performing individual singles out of production after burn-in or perhaps even flash the firmware to convert them to little singles, but you have to actually open up a minirig to find and replace low-performing boards)

Mini-rigs are dead, they are only producing them if you say NO to 8 singles.

Of course the problem with that will be when they run out of cases and/or power supplies for actual singles orders.

Check earlier in this thread and you will see my predictions for the end of September.

What Weds will look like (assuming they don't restart Jalapenos)

Wednesday, Sept 18, 2013 Shipping Update

Jalapenos 4.5 and 5 gh/s: Feb 14, 2013

Little Singles 30 and 25 gh/s: Dec 4, 2012

Singles 60 and 50 gh/s: Oct 15, 2012 pay date

MiniRigs: August 15 (1st 500 g/s units), July 20 orders (2nd 500 gh/s) and
June 27 orders (3rd 500 gh/s unit)

Or they can do a big push on Mini-Rigs but either way, if you add up the combined dates moved forward by all three product likes (LS, S and MR) they will equal about 21 days.

Problem is they need 21 days PER product line to make the end of September 2013 (so they have 1/3 the manpower they need right now or they need to get 3 times faster than they are)  Grin

by BFL_Jody  , 09-17-2013 at 11:43 PM
Jalapenos 4.5 and 5 gh/s: Feb 14, 2013

Little Singles 30 and 25 gh/s: Nov. 27, 2012

Singles 60 and 50 gh/s: Oct 3, 2012 pay date

MiniRigs: August 15 (1st 500 g/s units), July 20 orders (2nd 500 gh/s) and
June 27 orders (3rd 500 gh/s unit)

You laughed at my predictions, but they are right on so far.

Here is the secret. They have the manpower to ship combined between 20 and 21 pay dates each day

This will ebb and flow a bit every day until March when it will hit a brick wall.
