Here it comes, we are knocking on the door to .003.

I wonder why TerraHash have not registered its orders at group tracking page here:
Did something went wrong with ordering chips that tracking data cannot be revealed?

TerraHsh, can you provide which of these batches are yours?

They wont answer this because they are delusional, have no other recourse but to wait or they are simply to proud to admit they backed a lame horse.

I tend to equate it more with the typical issue of such and such doesn't bother me so it shouldn't bother anybody else.
I've never said anybody else should get refunds or be pissed at TH or be mad or anything.  I've not once said that anyone should share my opinion; only recognize that those of us who choose to use the relevant laws and regulations for their intended purpose aren't doing anything wrong.
It's a little off-putting to have the other side keep insisting that those of us who recognize and acknowledge that the situation isn't TH' fault but that doesn't change the fact that we aren't willing to sit back and lose our money are doing something wrong, or are assholes, or whatever.

It's also a bit mind boggling the apparent attitude people have that 'we took the risk' and don't seem to think that any risk should be borne by TH- yes we took a risk.  We took a risk that merchandise would be delivered late or not at all, but that risk was tempered (for those of us in the US) by consumer protection laws that say we are entitled to 100% of our money back if we don't get our merchandise.  TH is looking to profit as a business; that means taking the risk that your supplier doesn't deliver, your project fails, whatever and you have to return everyone's money.

Why do they seem to think that TH should get a pass and be able to make a profit while bearing no risk, putting 100% of the risk on the customers?  I honestly can't wrap my head around it.
The only thing I can come up with is it's like the whole Apple/Android thing - some people are rabid about defending their chosen camp

TH did take a risk. They allowed us to buy with PayPal. They haven't broken their promise of deliveries 2 weeks from the date the Avalon chips arrive. August 15 has come and gone but of no fault of TH. The bad guys here you all that are pulling out.

Rule #1 of bitcoin, don't in money you aren't willing to lose Smiley.

TerraHash took almost no risk, they gambled with the communities money, not their own. How much have they actually risked of their own funds? Did they take a small business loan? Just to clarify, there is a huge difference between investors and customers.

The original assertion was that TH put 100% of the risk on the customer which is not true. How much risk they took isn't relevant. We all knew there was a possibility that this could happen.
TH is still required to deliver a product and if we don't feel that product is arriving when we expected then we should be refunded. some of you are suggesting that we should be biting the bullet. That isn't how it works.

I just noticed that this dude who made this site has my username posted in that article for some reason. Is he implying something about me being in on a scam?

how big does the gap between bitfunder and btct have to be for people to start arbitraging lol

You can't conduct arbitrage between BitFunder and BTC-TC. In order for arbitrage to work you would need to be able to transfer shares between the exchanges, otherwise it is completely pointless. Makes no sense to talk of arbitrage in this situation.

I outlined above how you can take advantage of the price on BF. Be sure to take fees into consideration. If the spread is wide enough you net a nice increase in shares for the same BTC.
You didn't outline anything other than transferring your Bitcoin over to another exchange and buying shares at a different price, you gain no advantage. Arbitrage is when there is a price difference in two markets and you purchase an item in the market with the cheaper price and transfer it over to the other market and sell at a higher price. Then you take that money and travel to the cheaper market and repeat - this continues until the prices are the same in both markets. You are not describing arbitrage, you are describing nothing.

TerraHash, Did Avalon not agree with you that they would have your chips delivered within 9-10 weeks from purchase? Has not that time-frame come and gone? I would like to know whether you have been in contact with the other group buy leaders in regards to some plan for seeking compensation from Avalon. Or have you been seeking such on your own? If so, is it possible for you to comment on the status of such conversations? If not, why not?

Hold both...nothing says you can't have two lottery tickets.
True.

I sold some back at 18 a few days ago and I regret it. Shares were bought at 16 - I would have an 70% at this point. Got out to make some coin trading ActM. Made some but not as much as I would have holding LC.

So, Diff. will be going up today?  Cry
Diff will be over 100M by the time you get your boards.

Yifu is communicating now as much as he did during the Batch #2 fulfillment period.  This cannot be a surprise.  These chips are late, but so was Batch #1 and Batch #2.  This knowledge was in front of you when you made the purchase.  Tell me what answer you will give to the judge when he says "Isn't that curious.  Tell me why you thought he would ship on time this time?"

This.

I for one fully expected some delay.  I am kind of surprised at the amount of venom oozing from this thread.  The delays are now getting kind of ridiculous and some good will compensation would be welcome from Yifu's side, but you all seem SO distraught by a delay that was pretty easily predicted.
Whether you expected a delay or not is irrelevant, Yifu contracted to have the chips delivered by a certain time - that is all that matters. He is obligated to that date regardless of what happened.
1372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 23, 2013, 01:08:12 PM
How do you not have him and atomic ignored. I refuse to believe there are people this naive so the only plausible explanation is that they are trolling.

Good question. Not sure really. Some days, the irrational banter makes me chuckle. Other days...  Those are the days I post. Smiley

What do you think they will say when they receive their boards? They'll probably complain about the size of the heat sinks or find some FTC rule that has been violated regarding the proper shipping method for electronics. JK
They will probably try to overclock them so they can break even.

Good news TH is finally going to test the new K16 PCB.
Seems like this should have been done a couple of weeks ago.
If changes need to be made this could cause more delays.
Lets hope it goes well and the boards hash with low hardware errors rates this time.

This should have been done in mid-late July, not just a couple weeks ago. Truth is, even if TH had received the chips on time they would not have been ready to have the boards made and shipped by Aug. 15th.

The Spartans were parsimonious of patter. When they refused Athenian terms, on one occasion, the herald declared : "If we come to your city, we will raze it to the ground."
The Spartan answer was the one word: "If."
"If" is a two letter word with a huge meaning. If a bunch of gas particles did not get together to form the Sun, we wouldn't be here today.
Meaning that you had no idea that the chips would not have come when you expected them, i.e., approx. Aug. 1st. Meaning you should have been placing orders and had ALL parts, and had all test boards running at 100% expecting the chips at the beginning of August, but you did not. Had the chips arrived when they were supposed to (and you had no absolute reason to believe they wouldn't), you would not have had the parts to put the boards together and deliver by Aug. 15th. The claim that you did not order so that you could refund some money is irrelevant since you did not have foreknowledge that the chips would not arrive on time. IOW, that was never and could not possibly have been a reason for having all parts ready and test products functioning.

Not trying to be an ass about it, just calling it what it is. TH was not ready to meet the expected delivery date. "Luckily" for them, Avalon failed to come through, which bought TH some time to get its ducks in a row. This is possibly the same for other group buys since there were some part shortages reported with the PICS. But now the late deliveries can be blamed on Avalon.

Aww man looks like the guy who had the 30 share buy/sell bot decided to pull the plug, too bad as I was having too much fun making small profits off of bot manipulation
Is that why the price jumped? I was making like 5% trades over and over again.

Any information which affects the chip development plans, etc. is capable of being investment-sensitive. I don't see how the topics in the meetings would not be.
1377  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 22, 2013, 11:44:39 PM
Why do so many think that this has to actually go to court? Just having a lawyer make contact with Yifu and "forcing" a discussion on a compensation plan is all that is needed.
1378  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 22, 2013, 08:45:10 PM
TH should DEMAND double chips from Avalon as compensation, pass them free to us with the additional costs for PCBs etc half the cost (for anyone interested). In case Avalon rejects this I DEMAND as a customer legal action from TH against them.
Shit got serious, I am angry and I expect everyone to start behaving professionally and responsible from now on...
x2

Lets all start sending in tickets and making calls about pursuing compensation from Avalon, obviously they ignore any and all comments in the forums.
1379  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 22, 2013, 07:29:03 PM
Terrahash has always stated that deliveries would begin two weeks after chips are received.  Anyone bitching about them not delivering might want to remember that - it was one of the conditions of purchase.  You get to start complaining two weeks after they've received chips.

YiFu is the problem here, not Terrahash.  Are daily updates of "Nope.  No chips yet" really going to be very useful?
Fine, but TerraHash needs to be seeking some remedial compensation for Avalon not fulfilling their contract obligation. Maybe TH falsely thinks it has no obligation to it customers at the moment because of some terms and conditions it wrote on it site.
