1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: July 03, 2023, 02:58:46 AM
I can't believe we're only a month away from a cursory preseason teaser, and only six weeks away from unofficial football.  To be honest, I haven't missed it.  I'm glad that this thread has been largely active all off-season, happy to see you guys are enjoying it.  But I just haven't had the heart heart for it.

After the 49ers' last game I began questioning reality.  Is this life real, or am I living in matrix-like experimental reality where cruelty is inflicted on test-subjects through chemically induced highs and lows as hallucinations of football and women?

I don't know, I just don't know.

I was excited after the superbowl and during the draft, however, I am presently in a similar mood as you after not witnessing the most exciting trade rumors occur. But things to be excited on during the next season would be Deshaun Massage Lover Watson in a complete season with his new team. Improvements and comeback of Russel Wilson after a bad season with the Broncos. The New York Jets and Mr. I am immunized Rodgers. The Bills next post season, no comment hehehehe.

In any case, what is the plan for our fantasy league? The same schedule, we draft 1 week before the regular season begins?
1382  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 03, 2023, 02:24:00 AM
Similar to my vote last month, my vote this month is again yes the pump will continue hehehe. It might also be good to mention the rumor in this thread that our uncle Gary is resigning from the SEC. The source of this information is an anonymous official in the SEC, according to sauces.

Gensler is presently the enemy boss of the cryptospace. If this enemy leaves, I am quite certain the happy CZ will consider it a victory and pump bitcoin to $40k.

1383  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to suspend GBP deposits/withdrawal on: July 03, 2023, 01:29:12 AM
On Binance being kicked out of many jurisdictions, be careful what you wish for. CZ is a clown crypto hustler very much similar to Justin Sun, however, this coordinated crackdown should be concerning because do you know who will take over? The people who own you. The rulers of your countries, the real criminals, the manipulators behind traditional finance.
1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gensler can destroy the U.S. crypto industry but he can’t kill crypto on: July 03, 2023, 12:25:55 AM
Update. There are rumors circulating in social media that uncle Gary has resigned. I will just share this on this thread instead of creating a new one while we wait for an official annoucement from the SEC.

Also, the market is not pumping. Markets usually react positively to rumors if there is some truth behind them.

In any case, I wish it is true hehehehe.

In a stunning revelation, an anonymous official from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reportedly disclosed that Gary Gensler, the Chairman of the SEC, has submitted his resignation following an internal investigation. This bombshell news has sent shockwaves through the financial industry, raising concerns about the integrity of the regulatory body and the implications for investor confidence.

The anonymous SEC official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the matter, stated, "Gary Gensler has resigned from his position as Chairman of the SEC following an internal investigation into alleged misconduct. The details of the investigation are confidential, but the decision to step down underscores the seriousness of the findings."

1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: July 01, 2023, 05:43:03 AM
So, it's officially announced earlier that Jermall Charlo will move up in weight to challenge Canelo Alvarez which i think is the best fight for Canelo this year as a rematch with Bivol is too risky and yet he has nothing to gain if it will be in the SMW division.

What do you think of this fight guys, still cherry picking or Charlo will give Canelo a run for his money?

I never thought I would see a statement saying that a certain fight will be risky for Canelo after being the king of the super middleweight division hehehhee. I reckon Bivol is showing the Irish looking Mexican that he cannot be dictated into a rematch in light heavyweight hehe.

For this fight, I am shaking my head that only 3 people voted for Canelo by decision. This is a very clear outcome. If Canelo cannot knockout Ryder, it might also be difficult for him to knockout Charlo.

In any case, where is David Benavidez? Canelo is avoiding the future king?
1386  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 01, 2023, 05:08:34 AM
What a nightmare! I didn't even know you needed all this stuff for an online casino. To combat money laundering, I suppose? How much is the minimum? If you bet 10 and win 1000, do you still have to make a kyc?

Yes, these are AML Compliance measures, and measures to combat the "financing of terrorism" in general.
In general, you also have minimum wages, and you can't withdraw money immediately after a deposit. Often, for online casinos, you need to have gambled between 15% and 30% of your deposit for your withdrawal to be accepted without concern.

KYC depends more on the regulators (ANJ in France - as you are French, but it could be BGC in Belgium for example, no matter), and the laws they apply. A casino regulated in the Cayman Islands will not have the same KYC / POA / EDD policy as one regulated in the UK. Unregulated casinos sometimes ask for documents too, on a case-by-case basis.

As regulators and local laws become increasingly complex to avoid, and the penalties incurred are very heavy for casinos that don't comply, it doesn't surprise me that we've seen a general tightening of these measures in recent years.
When a casino asks for endless KYC it's rarely(never actually) because of AML compliance measures. If they had concerned about that, they would have asked him to complete KYC once he had deposited his funds, not when he wants to withdraw them.
Weirdly we never see them asking KYC++ to losers, they never need more documents to take our money when we lose...  Roll Eyes
Sadly Willowbitcoin seems to be a winner, and has been flagged as good bettor(sport bettor I guess), so they will find the most ridiculous excuses to not pay him.

It is a legitimate account so I was more worried about account sustainability and getting limited rather than having my balance "stolen".  I never considered it a possibility.  The annoying this is, I had plenty of opportunities to withdraw as that figure represents a grind over time from a $750 deposit to $6000 ( helped by bitcoin appreciation )
Im sure the OP bet on sports and he was a winner. .. Actually i dont think it has anything to do with AML.   i noticed when someone bet on spoelrts large amounts or won large amounts in sports then they start a lot of KYC things. I dont know what nature of deal a casino or stake specially habe with the sports odds provider probably its a revenue share deal so this KYC comes from the sports provider same as Rollbit a lot of issue with Rollbit banning custumers and most  of that customers bet on sports and winners . it makes me believe its the sports odd provider who flag the accounts.
While some guys who bet on inhouse games rarely get a KYC triggered.  Same as in Primedice its also owned by Stake but they never required any KYC even for large amounts  and its also a curacao regulated.  So you guys stop talking about AML.

This is a very sharp post. I don't think this case has to do with AML.

However, this is stake.com, a reputable sportsbook. What reputable sportsbooks do is limit the account of someone who they speculate might be a winning professional sportsbettor. I ask again, why would stake.com harm their reputation for only $6000? This is a very small amount for them which they can pay very easily.

Also, @Willowbitcoin also mentioned that he used a VPN when he went overseas in a banned jurisdiction. This might be a something similar to a breach in stake.com's terms and conditions.
1387  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to suspend GBP deposits/withdrawal on: July 01, 2023, 04:28:33 AM
On the regulators of Germany's refusal to approve Binance's application for license, there are many clickbait headlines being created behind this. Binance can still operate in Germany but it only cannot advertise in the country.

There is no impact on the users' ability to deposit, withdraw, buy or sell.

As of February 2023, Binance had as many as 2 million German users, per Wirtschaftswoche, which makes the exchange one of the biggest platforms in the country. Moreover, even if Binance doesn’t have a license in Germany, technically users can still navigate and use the exchange.

1388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will another ETF be immediately bullish for Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2023, 03:41:58 AM
It was interesting to me the Fidelity filed their ETF and then the SEC made a statement about ETF filings being incomplete and then Fidelity immediately updated their filing to show that Coinbase would be the custodian of their Bitcoin. This shows me that the SEC is in close talks with these banks and an ETF approval is right on the horizon.

What was shocking for me was the market's immediate reaction to the news. The market made a big dump on everyone's faces which might imply that there were many traders who were waiting for the latest news updates on the ETF hehehe. However, this also implies that if the next news update is positive, we might witness a big pump!

1389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [INFO]Hong Kong's HSBC Allows Customers to Trade Bitcoin. on: July 01, 2023, 02:33:26 AM
If you do not read the news on the recent developments on China, Hong Kong and the cryptospace, I have shared articles about this topic a few times. If you also read between the lines, good chance that China will open up and try to be the leader. I might get the year wrong when I said Shanghai will be approved for accepting the cryptospace on 2025, however, they will have no choice but to open up if they want to continue pushing for their blockchain ambitions.

Why do you mix blockchain as a technology and cryptocurrencies that use it? What does it matter that China may want to be a leader in blockchain technologies? Does this have any impact on Bitcoin or any of the top altcoins, will CEX across China open up and will crypto mining become legal again?

Hehe I am not mixing anything, when I said blockchain it pertains also to the cryptospace and cryptocoins. If it is the wrong word to use, for this discussion we use cryptospace.

In any case, these are only my own thoughts and my own speculations based on all of the news and articles that I have read. The answer is yes, China's cryptospace ambitions will have an impact on bitcoin and much of the cryptospace. I cannot be certain about crypto mining, however, we might witness regulated cryptocoin trading for institutional and retail investors in Shanghai very much similar to what they have done in Hong Kong on June 2.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bitcoin Cash is pumping, why? on: June 30, 2023, 03:51:38 AM
I only begun to notice when people in social media were saying to stop shorting it to avoid causing a short squeeze which will only cause it to pump higher.

I am not quite certain why it is pumping, however, there are rumors that TUSD is being printed to pump Bitcoin Cash. I will collect more information and share them in this thread. If anyone has news, rumors and speculations on why this is happening, please share them.
1391  Bitcoin / Legal / UK Crypto, Stablecoin Rules Receive Royal Assent, Passing Into Law on: June 30, 2023, 03:18:18 AM
We cannot be quite certain if these are good or bad laws, however, this will create a much better cryptospace environment in the UK because the developers and their projects can work under clear guidelines on what can and cannot do. This should also be happening in America.

Thank you for signing it into law King Charles.

A U.K. bill giving regulators the power to supervise crypto and stablecoins was approved by King Charles Thursday, marking the last formal stage that makes the bill law.

1392  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: June 30, 2023, 02:54:24 AM
@Rikafip. If they pay hehehehe.

The skeptical is now thinking that the people who founded and created these failed Cefi lending services are really working for the government to make the cryptospace appear that it is full of scamming hustlers.

The reason for this is to make the cryptospace community divided and make it look that it is in need of a takeover by the people behind the traditional financial companies.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9.5 million flagged bitcoins on: June 30, 2023, 01:50:52 AM
This news is ten years old. And it is safe to buy any bitcoins which is available for sale.
The concept of tainting coins is a centralization strategy which the government wants to use to control Bitcoin.

- Jay -

I disagree and you should not make irresponsible statements like this especially if it can increase the risk of someone's funds in an exchange or a bank account being frozen or closed.

Anyone can argue that taint is not real, however, this certainly does not assure anyone that sending tainted coins to a centralized service will not cause us some problems.
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [INFO]Hong Kong's HSBC Allows Customers to Trade Bitcoin. on: June 30, 2023, 01:06:11 AM
Hehehehe I never said or even implied that presently China is more friendly towards the cryptospace than the US. What I was saying is how it is head shaking that a communist country like China is starting to open their borders for the cryptospace and America is closing theirs.

I don't agree with the U.S. closing the door, just trying to put an end to some things that should have been regulated a long time ago, unless you think that all that scam associated with altcoins/DeFi should continue even though people lose hundreds of millions of dollars every year? On the other hand, I ask you again, how can futures BTC ETF in HK be a sign that China is opening up to cryptocurrencies?

You also ask what I am talking about when comparing China and America in context to the cryptospace? It is China's ambition to be the world leader in everything, including information technology and blockchain. President Xi mentioned this in one of his speeches. We are witnessing their move slowly in Hong Kong. Shanghai will be next.

So what difference does it make that their president mentioned blockchain a few years ago? It's something that doesn't have to have anything to do with any cryptocurrency, least of all decentralized like Bitcoin. China will only accept what it can fully control, and if you believe in any other outcome you are hardly mistaken.

America is not closing their doors, only putting an end to most of the cryptospace hehehe, okay. Are you also implying that everything that is not bitcoin is a scam and the SEC should put an end to them?

In any case, is it not a sign that China is opening up? HSBC might know something more than us and they also did it on January before all this hype about Blackrock and Fidelity.

Also, what difference does it make? Unless you are living under a rock, if you open up your borders to welcome the cryptospace, it must include whitelisting the top cryptocoins. Developments on this are starting in Hong Kong. Their regulators have whitelisted some projects for everyone to trade already, including retail traders.
1395  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: June 29, 2023, 05:24:14 AM
It is a sad thing to see stake.com joining the KYC-weaponizers’ club. If everything happened just like you described them, the stake.com should back off and pay your money. If they have anything to say against you, they should say here so we all will know why you ain’t getting paid. Otherwise this is not looking good for stake.com. I recommended this casino to many users in the past and I want to do it again in the future. Fix this stake.com!

We should also listen to stake.com's side of the accusation. They are one of the largest casinos and sportsbooks in the cryptospace that also sponsors famous MMA fighters. Why would they hurt their own reputation only for $6000?

What is head scratching here is they are asking for physical receipts of bill payments. Similar to
Willowbitcoin's argument, only very few people do this in 2023.

@Willowbitcoin. It might be better to ask someone from Stake's security department to check into your problem. The people you sometimes speak with in live support are agents working for a call center.
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will another ETF be immediately bullish for Bitcoin? on: June 29, 2023, 04:31:23 AM
I realise that previous futures launches are different than the current proposed ETFs, as far as I understand, but the facts remains the same. Each time a traditional form of investment product based on Bitcoin has been launched, price has corrected significantly, between 50% and 83% basically. What's as concerning is that price is currently at a resistance level which could now become a local peak...

Does the futures market determine the price of bitcoin or does the spot market? I am quite certain that everyone already knows the answer to this.

In any case, a spot ETF will be very bullish for bitcoin. I do not know why there are some people who refuse to understand the difference between spot and futures ETF.
1397  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: June 29, 2023, 04:15:29 AM
Binance might not bite the dust, however, it is beginning to suffer a slow dismantling process being done against it by the regulators and the people behind traditional finance. The exchange is banned from operating under the jurisdictions of Netherlands, Canada, Belgium and a few more and this is also increasing. Their banking partners are also withdrawing their support for the exchange.

Where will Binance and CZ be in 5 years?
1398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [INFO]Hong Kong's HSBC Allows Customers to Trade Bitcoin. on: June 29, 2023, 03:45:08 AM
I am not arguing, I am only saying that China is slowly opening their borders for the cryptospace through Hong Kong as the go between and I think this is a positive development compared to the crackdowns being done by uncle Gary. There is more news besides the Hong Kong ETF article that already shows this.

You're grasping at straws that really don't make sense to grasp on since your main thesis is that China is becoming more crypto friendly than the US. And the fact is that what is happening in HK has nothing to do with Bitcoin or the Chinese position towards it.

Also, about ETFs in America, futures ETFs that were already approved are different from spot ETFs. Spot ETFs invests in real Bitcoin.

I don't know why you think you need to teach me about the difference between spot and futures ETF, and I tell you in my previous post that futures BTC ETF has been around for years in the US, and your Uncle Gary has nothing against it. You and many think that the SEC is fighting Bitcoin, when in fact all this fight is directed against shitcoins, and then what are you even talking about when comparing China and the US in the context of cryptocurrencies?

Hehehehe I never said or even implied that presently China is more friendly towards the cryptospace than the US. What I was saying is how it is head shaking that a communist country like China is starting to open their borders for the cryptospace and America is closing theirs.

You also ask what I am talking about when comparing China and America in context to the cryptospace? It is China's ambition to be the world leader in everything, including information technology and blockchain. President Xi mentioned this in one of his speeches. We are witnessing their move slowly in Hong Kong. Shanghai will be next.

On futures ETF and spot ETF having no difference, I disagree. There is a difference. A spot ETF gives the investors exposure to bitcoin because the contents of those funds will be bitcoins, a futures ETF does not. If Blackrock's ETF is approved, do you remember the pump that begun on March 12 because of CZ's $1 billion twap? It might be similar to that but more of them after each ETF approval of the other institutional funds.
1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Firm Riot Secures 33,000 New Rigs for $162 Million on: June 28, 2023, 02:53:38 AM
I wouldn't interpret it as bullish, mining has always been profitable, the price could drop by a lot, maybe to $10k or less, and it would still be profitable. Buying new mining equipment is a good way to increase your profit margins and make sure you won't be forced out of the market in the future.  And 162M doesn't sound like a big deal.

I would because their action implies that they might be speculating that the bear market is presently over or will be over.

On Blackrock's ETF application, I was also skeptical about it because why were the cryptonews media again using an old storyline from 2021? However, it also made me think, why would Blackrock apply for an ETF during Gensler's crackdown on the cryptospace? This might be because they know for certain that the whole cryptospace market will not dump anymore.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 28, 2023, 02:12:03 AM
Heres the statistical low down for all you avid bettors to feast over in your judicious appraisal of betting prospects in this clash of titans :

I wouldnt normally post the full size picture but Musk is a full 13 years older then Zuckerberg so it could come down to minuscule detail to assess, compare and contrast the pale color of the millionaire miscreants on the day of the fights to see if they may expire or not.  There is the weight advantage and Im not sure reach but height is on Musk's side.

Heheheheheheheheee!  The physical comparison and seeing how much larger Elon's body is and the odds on him is 3.00, my bet will be on Elon!

Who would not bet on this beautiful white pasty man.

His training partner might also be the great Georges St. Pierre. Bullish news for Elon bettors hehehe.

@elonmusk I'm a huge fan of yours and it would be an absolute honor to help you and be your training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg
