1441  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: June 18, 2020, 11:48:28 PM
Living without bank simply means living in bondage's and such person never wanted to go out within their territory, banking system now is very important because you can make a withdrawal anyplace you found yourself.with the help of digital banking system you can travel to any country and purchase a goods with out paying a physical cash but with digital money.so the possibility for we to live without banking system is very difficult to cooperates with.
OK if are may ask without banking system can entrepreneur business function effectively.
Definitely no one will leave their houses without any good barricades that will protect their houses from thieves. The banking system played a lot of good advantages for each individual especially those who have a lot of wealth.

You might get a fireproof house right now if that happens, once your house is burning, your wealth will be gone too.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone can legal claim their Mtgox stolen Bitcoin from Craig Wright on: June 18, 2020, 11:12:56 PM
It's been going on for years, yet he's still free and dandy. I'm starting to believe CW is a special government funded enterntaiment project

Definitely buddy, he's just one of the government instrument of scamming or pump and dump projects, for the government to see him freely live without be held responsible to all the issues he has caused is a symbol of his association or affiliation to the government. For the validation, he should sign a message from the right Bitcoin wallet address to have a close case, am getten bored now.
Exactly, an asset of the government and a way to control bitcoin once owned by a known personality like CW. He's obviously a fraud and this case should be ended soon 'cause he can't even prove to the judge the ownership of the wallet. This whole act of him is just a waste of time and I hope he stops it right now.
1443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For Old and New forum members on: June 18, 2020, 10:48:38 PM
I agree with you but we can't change the fact that most of us knew bitcointalk.org for earning money. Even until now, many videos on youtube saying that you can earn money here without investing, same with Reddit, multiple contents spreading across the internet that you can earn here. So it's kinda hard to implementing something that will make grow the beginners' willingness to learn and study cryptocurrency.

The merit system is one of the barriers that avoids those beginners' greediness to earn money at the start.
1444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Differentiate Between Trader and Investor on: June 18, 2020, 10:27:56 PM
On what I understand about those two terms is;
Investors are willing wait even it takes too long until they gain the desire goal, like reaching another ATH or making their own money with huge perecentage grow. Traders are for short term, they're observing the market 24/7 to make profit on minimal changes. They're the typical buy and sell users in the market. Therefore, investors are for long-term while traders are short-terms.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 18, 2020, 10:11:30 PM
Today I watched the news about European football - a pretty funny thing happened: some national championships were prematurely completed (for example France) and some continued (for example Germany).
Interesting fans in which country consider themselves the most affected and how the transition to the UEFA Cup and the Champions League will be made.
Obviously, there are many profits awaits so they're still continuing those events. They knew that fans and audiences are across the world and it will gain a lot for implementing it even there's a COVID-19.

Business is still a business, they can spend money on implementing measures to avoid COVID-19 while continuing the tournament where a lot of people bets and supports.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: June 18, 2020, 04:57:35 PM
I don't imagine bitcoin as a mode of payment to do a transaction for mobile gaming. If you know about Steam, they are accepting bitcoin as payment to do transactions such as buying a game and top-ups for the game money. However, this was stopped immediately due to high fees.
It's not about the bitcoin as mode of payment, it's all about the relation between bitcoin and mobile gaming. As the OP stated, bitcoin is the modern way while banks are the traditional, same with PC as traditional while mobile gaming are the modern.

So definitely, bitcoin as mode of payment in gaming platforms aren't related to this and most of us already knew about the steam.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is going on in crypto 💣 on: June 12, 2020, 11:08:24 PM
There's a lot of happenings right now that will definitely be written again in the history of bitcoin. I guess it's a sign that more people are using cryptocurrency and adapting its features to make a development. One of the things that are most awaited by the community is the 2020's bull run. I hope that high-profile persons will adapt bitcoin so it can be stronger than it is right now. Day by day, a lot of unexpected changes in the cryptocurrency after the halving, and some experts say that it'll take a lot shorter time for the new ATH.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: June 12, 2020, 10:56:36 PM
I have never done this...
My country's government does not require low-income citizens to pay taxes, this is the reason why I have never tracked my win/lose in a spreadsheet. I don't play gambling too often, so tracking my wins/losses is not useful.
If your government or bank does require you to have records as you gamble, you'll be forced to record it from time to time. But the same as you, if there's no need to, then we don't have to. We do pay our taxes and there's no need for someone to record it like this because it's also us who's recording it. I mean, that they haven't thought that you can keep your own wins or you'll record losses. While, you can just declare it one time for the whole year.
Tax is a responsibility, everyone has to pay, otherwise we will face the consequences of violating the laws, and I think only in big countries where the government are so strict with that since in my country, I never heard or read anyone filing a tax for their income from gambling. Therefore, if the taxation law in your country is not that strict, there's no need for you to pay taxes.
Yes, we knew about tax obligations. Anything that you earn online or offline, if you are certain with it then you should file that voluntarily and declare your income. I disagree about not paying even if the taxing method in country isn't strict.
As you have said, everyone has to pay regardless of being wide or not.
Even if the taxing method is not strict, it does not mean that we should take advantage of it so that we can save a lot of money. When a crisis like this current pandemic comes, it will definitely be a matter of concern, and the tax that has not been paid from the beginning will be brought to you. Taxation is a good way to elevate your country's economic status, and it's a shame if someone benefits from improving society but does not pay taxes.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: June 12, 2020, 10:27:02 PM
if the casino can show real proof, I have no problem donating in a casino..  the most difficult thing to find right now is honesty, I have seen the bad news about donation houses many times and this makes me a little hesitant to donate to donation organizations.  even today there are also many donation organizations that commit fraud in the name of "assistance for the COVID-19 pandemic".  Donation is not just money, it is also trust..
Yeah, some companies are using charity to gain benefits for them and some are using it for publicity. So I guess it's better to donate to those organizations that are really helping and spending their whole life volunteering on such crises like what's happening right now, for them to gain more popularity and other people will also donate to them. I doubt that 100% of that money donated in the casino will be going for charity, business-minded people will always talk about business and definitely that's the part we don't know behind the scenes. I like how other companies donate on those organization than implementing their own charity, 'cause it's shady to implement a charity that's under a business name.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 12, 2020, 10:08:37 PM
I think, despite the current changes, everything will return to the old model in the future. No matter how cynical it may be, sooner or later the virus will either kill everyone whom it can kill or weaken to the level of ordinary flu and the measures that are relevant now will become redundant.

Very different from what we have been back in the days. WE may really be a not social people in the future  Cheesy

Basketball and boxing matches without the audience seem very unusual for the players as of now but we'd get used to it. I just hope that channels like this to watch does have a chatbox available for all so that it would be interactive not just for the spectator but we even in the house can cheer for our favorite team and the team can hear us shouting "defense!"

Have you ever watched a broadcast with more than 100k viewers on Twitch?  Wink If I understand you correctly, then you want approximately the same chat during sporting events. But it is absolutely unreadable. Messages go in endless very fast flow and do not carry any sense whatsoever in fact.
Yeah, interaction during a Livestream is impossible, chatbox during a broadcast of eSports or sports tournament is useless, it's for the hype only. Imagine, there's a lot of watching the stream and would like to chat in the chatbox to show some support on the team they wanted. Definitely, it'll be a fast flow, and most of the time, people are just spamming the name of the team, trolling with emojis, and saying "GG" when the game is over. Giving opinions or thoughts on broadcasts are a waste of effort because spectators and commentators are also focused on the game.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: E-gambling on: June 12, 2020, 09:53:32 PM
Gambling is very interesting but it will depend on the user Crypto Casino There are many sites that are reliable we need to check beforehand I agree with you that new sites are not always scammed They often play much better and gradually improve. That's why you have to play with faith in yourself.
Checking the reputation of the casino or the website here will help you if that gambling site is reputable or not.

There are already many reliable sites that have been used by so many users here in the forum and outside of it. Although there are some sites are considered a scam site, there are some which are being used by so many people already. Time to time, if the site doesn't thinking of scamming users they will make anything just to improve their site so that more and  more will be attracted to join and gamble.
Best example are the signature we are wearing?in which being legit for years now .Yolodice and 777coin are one of the most reliable and legit sites in which we can find comfort while playing.
Even freebitco.in, I already knew this during the faucet days and now I'm wearing its signature and promoting their platform. Common signatures that can be seen by reputable members here are also platforms that have good reputations. So clearly, signatures on this forum show who's a legit platform that we can go and play gambling. Also, there are banner ads here in the forum to gain more audience and users to their platform, I guess that's the other way of choosing a good gambling site.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: June 12, 2020, 09:16:56 PM
I guess it isn't a good idea to spend money that's lent on you 'cause it'll be a waste. Even you have maximum level of skills and very great at a specific game, it'll not give you any benefits. There's a lot of what if running here, so what if you lose the game with a single mistake? then you'll that money and will have a problem to give it back on the lender. I don't want those kinds of people that thinks gambling is the solution to multiply their money. I want to share my experience with this, I bet on a team that's I'm very confident with and 100% will win the match but look what happened, I lose a lot even tho I trust my predictions on it.
1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Covid wave vs Bitcoin on: June 12, 2020, 07:20:57 PM
It won't affect the crypto market because as far as I know, it's already proven in such threads that are posted here that COVID-19 isn't the reason why BTC has a downfall.
As far as I know, it wasn't the virus itself that caused the drop in price(obviously), but the heavy fear that a lot of people had of the virus.

Exactly, fear and panic were the cause of the drop in the market value of Bitcoin but you should also agree that, the pandemic contributed or was the main cause of this fear in the first place.  A lot of people thought they were gonna die considering the rate at which the numbers were increasing.
I hope that at this moment, people don't panic because bitcoin price is down too far, and bitcoin needs to struggle to increase to the higher price. This pandemic makes people suffer because many of them lost their jobs, and they need money to buy their daily needs. But people do not give up, and they still trying to survive even we know that the pandemic does not already end.
Recently, bitcoin has a slight downfall to 8k$ mark and it's nothing new since we already knew that it has the ability to go back to 9k$ or even the 10k$ mark. Now, there's nothing to worry about it and just have faith in bitcoin that it'll give us new ATH this 2020. Let's have a positive mindset on this pandemic, we already lose a lot and don't deserve to lose more. And yeah, COVID-19 is still a factor but it does not greatly affect the crypto market right now.
1454  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: June 12, 2020, 02:40:21 PM
The quarantine has a lot of effects, especially on the people who don't have any savings and ready for this. People ended up working from home while the others are being removed from work 'cause companies aren't financially stable due to lockdown. The most unfortunate event for me is our government doesn't give importance to those people who really in need. They're prioritizing other bills that don't make sense during the pandemic and enhanced community quarantine was already lifted to good community quarantine which is some people are already allowed to go out now.

University of the PH here already predicted that we will have 40k confirmed cases in the 3rd week of June, and I hope it won't happen.
1455  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19 Impact on the Indian Economy on: June 12, 2020, 02:10:23 PM
I must admit that covid-19 really took a big hit on our economy, not just in India but the world economy itself are suffering and it's a lesson learn to very countries to make a bold action so that this will not happened again.  Third world countries are most at risk to this pandemic as it's really hard to recover to all losses especially to their medical sectors that should be given the priorities to fight and defeat covid-19 as quick as possible.  We can heal as one nation and help each other to overcome this unseen enemy for us to withstand the adversaries that covid-19 brought to the world.
Yeah, not only India, COVID-19 really hit the economy of all the countries especially the 3rd world country. Our economy is already down right now and has a lot of problems. Our lawmakers right now are making some non-sense bills that are not very reliable during the health crisis. I really like how some countries like Taiwan and Vietnam handled the health crisis and now have 0 confirmed cases. Our country has a lot of debts right now and I don't know how they will pay those and obviously we're the one, taxpayers, who'll pay it.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Physical Gambling Casino Simulation through GTA V on: June 12, 2020, 12:33:57 PM
Let us just all be contented for a moment on playing at online casinos since casino establishments are still temporarily closed due to existing lockdowns to prevent the spread of virus. Although we are not experiencing the same excitement and enjoyment just like playing in a real casino, but still let us all be thankful that we have an alternative way possible to make us still play even at this quarantine wherein we tend to stay home for our safety.

GTA was really a fascinating and an interesting game to play because it is not just a role playing game but also a simulation game which is really good that enables you to somehow feel or experience like you were the one in the scene. At this point of time, let's just be contented by playing such simulated games while vaccine is still not available. All of this are just temporary and time will soon to come that we can all be able to play into casino establishments again.
Agree, I guess staying on simulated games like GTA V that includes casino is a good way to play gambling, there's a lot of mission there to earn money. But if the gambler targets to earn real money, then GTA V isn't the key for this since you can't withdraw all of your winnings there. I will still recommend using an online gambling platform, more exciting and have real gamblers that spent a lot of time playing unlike in GTA V, most of them are just gamers that enjoy it and don't care about casinos.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: June 12, 2020, 11:35:23 AM
Choose the type of gamble you know, the type of gamble you have a passion for, even if you lose it you know you enjoy it. If you want to use a mindset or a strategy for playing, then choose card games like poker. But my favorite of all gambling games was bingo even when I was young, I had fun. I just really love this game. Although we say that winning depends on luck, it still depends on how you mark your card and how attentive you are to Bingo.
Spending your money to a game you enjoy with is like playing for fun and not after money, its a good point for me. If you want to gamble for long period then you have to think of games that you most enjoy and you have knowledge how to maximize your chances to win. Plus you need to set a capital that is not meant for important needs, learn to control and have discipline about the money you will use for gambling.

It is better for all of us to just enjoy some time to gamble but not for a long period of time.

You may be enjoying the game but that wasn't always a good thing since there are those times where my friends get drunk and despite not addicted to gambling, they still lose their money. I guess discipline is really necessary for us to be able to save our money from gambling. If you want just entertainment, make sure you can take losses, make sure you can afford it.
I hope we have a mindset like this, this is a good way to avoid addiction, and a lot of money loses. If the intent of gambling is for entertainment, make sure that you'll enjoy it and no hard feelings when you lose the game that will make you play again to win back your money. I really don't recommend playing gambling as one of the ways to earn money, it's not practical and has a lot of risks. We all need discipline and the right thinking so we can avoid this loses 'cause money isn't the only one that will lose if you're already addicted on gambling.
1458  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit hindi tinatangkilik ng Pilipinas ang Cryptocurrency on: June 12, 2020, 11:27:26 AM
There are already a lot of countries that accept bitcoin in their land, which is really good for them, they spent a lot of money just to implement it in their country, some countries plant generator in their country for bitcoin mining machine purposes, they spent a huge amount of money on that but that is really worth it because they earn 50,000 Dollars everyday.

So what if we did the same thing, magiging interesado kaya sila?

Meron rin naman iilang platform-based na networking, kung nakakapag-invest sila ng pera without knowing the person behind those project, I guess they have the ability to invest in crypto din.

But the problem nga is that the higher ups don't see the need to make Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency be accepted in Philippine society.
A sign of gatekeeping.  Roll Eyes

1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Prefer a Bitcoin Mobile Wallet on: June 12, 2020, 11:03:42 AM
Quote
My Five REASON Why I do not want to buy them?

1. They are costly if you are paid in Bitcoin as a bounty hunter or for a gig.
2. They are a liability as if, you lose it you will lose your investment.
3. They are not easy to operate and most exchanges do not support them.
4. They have to be updated periodically or you will never see your Bitcoin in them.
5. They can still be hacked if you are using them online for trading or other stuff.

My number one reason why I don't want to buy a hardware wallet:
Because it costs money. Grin
Having a hardware wallet makes sense only if you have 1+ BTC and you wanna have the absolute best security measures(even though there's no such thing as 100% security).
I simply don't HODL that big amounts of BTC,so it's pointless for me to buy a hardware wallet.
On the other side,I think that mobile wallets are less secure than online wallets.
I've been using online wallets for about 4 years and I never had any problem.
That's what I've thought also but If you're aiming to save a lot of bitcoin, you can actually buy it now. It doesn't require to have 1 BTC before you buy it, as long as it has a sale ongoing, you should grab your own hardware wallet now. The reason why it costs a lot because of security, and obviously if the user is just a bounty hunter or earning BTC through airdrop and such, he/she doesn't need this and will just cost a lot. But if you're an investor and want to have a long-term investment on bitcoin, then it's a sign that you should have one.

Same with me, almost 3 years of using mobile wallet but there's nothing happened.
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: June 12, 2020, 10:46:21 AM
In mobile gaming; PC Desktop games/console games, etc can be traditional while games on mobile are the new trend where you can play comfortably anywhere with just your mobile phone.
I'm a gamer and I play on different platforms like PC, PS4, and smartphone. Yes, it's convenient, but sometimes it's not very comfortable to play on a mobile phone, especially when you're looking at a game with massive graphics and complex mechanics. Is that much easier? I don't think so, because after a few hours of gaming, you'll get a strain on your hands or fingers while on your PC, even if you're playing the whole day, it has a minimal strain, and sometimes it's only on your wrist. Well, the reason why mobile gaming is really popular is that most of us can afford it while only a few people have a high-end gaming PC. If all of us here in the Third World has the ability to play on a PC, it will definitely be the easiest and most convenient platform to play with. We can actually do multi-tasking in PC, playing while working meanwhile in smartphones, the game will be interrupted or load again if you minimize the game. IMO, the right comparison here is, the console will be the traditional (it already exists in the 70s) and PC will be the new trend since most of the high rated games or triple-A games can now be played at maximum settings there. But sometimes, the console doesn't act as a traditional gaming platform since they're very competitive and trying to gain a lot of users with their exclusive games.
