Doesn't NXTShort have no or negative value if the NXT price goes up? I wasn't 100% sure how that asset works. it works the same as the silver asset but is like a financial instrument. if NXT/BTC rises, the shortNXT price goes down and vice-versa Cool, So is all the buying/selling of it with the asset maker, or are others trading NXTShort with eachother? thanks. I'll watch the candlesticks and wait for the inevitable retracement and pick up some NXTShort. |

How do these issues Keep coming up over and over again. Can't believe I potentially got gox'd .. How could I avoid it? I needed to buy the damn thing...
However I have faith that it's just bad PR and coins are fine...

Yea people seem to forget the NSC  The NS what now? What is that and what sets it's value? It a coin on the Asset Exchange which gets paid every week, for every block you acquire one NSC. NSC has a value of 11 NXT I believe atm It has been made to promote forging. Every one can buy NSC and promote forging or gain NXT by speculative trading. Thanks. Yes, after posting me message I remembered what it was, and that the NXT transfer fee won't in any way affect the value of the NSC. Heck, the fee could even be lower as long as the NSC is there right? Later as more transfers are done the block reward will be higher because it will have more transaction fees per block. |

How about a mobile wallet? People keep talking about cards, and whatnot, but ultimately, mobile platform wallets are just as useful. The other question about mobile wallet is how to get it to stake in Proof of Stake (has been a pretty big question for a lot of coins). But ultimately if part of acceptance is the distribution ability to spend, then we should provide as many options as to how to spend as possible.
+1 the first person to crack a working staking android wallet is going to be quids in. NXT has this thing were you can "lease" coins to another wallet for forging (what they call staking). If NAUT could set up something similar, you can lease coins in your mobile wallet to your PC wallet to stake. But, really, just have two wallets. Your primary wallet (savings) account on your PC with the bulk of you holdings for staking, and then a mobile wallet (checking account) for you day to day transfers. |

I missed it but... The standard fee for Nxt will also be lowered in the next release. Wesley said so much in the weekly hang out with Tai Zen. Something else to look forward too  I am looking forward to that. The current fee is just way too high, psychologically and financially. PS: I transfered 100kNXT today and had a weak moment and sent with the "standard" 100 NXT fee.... motherfucker was I angry with myself... I hope the drop is to .01. That seems to be the fee with most coins. I know that this is the ONLY money that will be given for forging since no new coins are mined but the only people forging probably know that forging isn't really making the rich. NSC are forged with every block found, and those NSC go for 10-30 NXT, so forging is very profitable at this moment! So, even if that is true, the transfer fee can be lower and it won't affect the NSC if I understand what it is. |

I understand that you guys are trying to stay positive, but if this wasn't a scam, Zip would have addressed the community by now.
We got scammed, it happens.
Not trying to minimize the pain of our losses, and the hurt we feel after having so much faith in Zip, and him betraying us. He wasn't hacked. He stole the money. It was a well thought out scam. Suckered us all in with the free coins in the beginning. Share was falling and it was time to move the last stage. Take everything and disappear.
It's too bad such a talented developer is not in it for the long term. It would have taken awhile but everyone really liked his exchange. It would have become one of the big players.
Total dumbass, and lacking any care for others at all. I can't imagine doing this to so many people and being able to sleep at night.
Totally will never understand how people don't feel bad, hurting so many people, and hurting the crypto movement at large.

You may or may not be right. But, if it was a scam and as people claim, he really did hold share coin... Why price FeeShares at 20k SHARE. The price of SHARE was up around and heading about 400 sat. The money coming into the exchange was much higher is the SHARE price kept going up. Why give all the coins out for free, spend so much time developing the distribution site, making sure to filter out double accounts, spend time improving the exchange javascript. I'm not saying the guy isn't a thief if he never comes back, but I just don't see how that was his end game from the start. |

Oh no. Is it confirmed that Sharexcoin has run off with our Qora?
Not yet. How will we be able to confirm that? I expect if a week goes by with zero confirmation (last communication was a tweet @ 1:07 AM - 3 Jun 2014) there's pretty much a 0% chance of the exchange or the coins coming back. I'm holding out hope, but every hour that goes buy is just one more nail in the coffin. |

It could very well be that shareXcoin is busto because so many deposited fork-qora into the site, and now refuse to resubmit the deposits.
Zip can't handle a 100 BTC loss.
If that is the case, Zip should come forward with the info of deposits that need to be resubmitted, with the addresses. |

How do you know his NXT address? Wasn't every NXT deposit sent to a separate ID so the exchange knew who it came from. |

I like this idea! For the crypto business to mature and get rid of scammers, it needs be able to give out punishment by itself. Let's track him down and show that this is not tolerated! Would this come under internet fraud in US? We got the DO IP address, which would eventually be tracked down to a credit card address. Is it possible to make an official complaint with the police for internet fraud in US? He was based in the US so it must be possible to prosecute him there. Who can take on to do a list of everyone who has claims? I think 1500 people were registered at ShareXCoin. If everyone joins the prosecution costs won't be too heavy for any single person. This business really needs to get rid of the scammers. Last number of accounts I recall was over 5000. |

So many things make this look legit.
Why spend 3 days making improvements to the web site before opening the NXT market if you plan to run away a week later?
Why set fees to 0% for two days after the first outage and pay FeeShare dividends from his pocket?
Why spend so much time creating a stable wrapper for the Qora blockchain when he could have just used the wallet?
People do cave to stress though. If the site was hacked or a DoS attack and hack and coins were stolen zip could have felt responsible and was unable to come online and mention what happened. Then all the cyber bulling might have driven him more underground and made him decide, the hell with it, I'll just keep what I have an call it a day, no one has any faith or trust in me or the exchange.
The biggest red flag is the zero communication. But, there was zero communication during the first outage. If this was a hack, I hope Zip owns up to it and does the right thing, returning as much coins as he can from what he has in cold storage, because the site claimed "security was most important".

It looks to me currently the exchange is 100% off line. This does indicate "something" is happening and it is being worked on.
But, even if it comes back, it's going to be very hard to recover from two large periods of down time so soon, with zero communication during either of them.
At this point it looks like growing pains rather than SCAM.

could you stop spamming the thread with this please. is easy to say this when it is not your money that was stolen yeah, cause you must know whether or not I invested any money in this coin....  which is great for you to be aware that the problem is the exchange and not this crap sharecoin, 2 btc investment in nxt, in exchange and exchange it disappeared .. oh how beautiful it is perfect  Same here. Waited 3 days for the NXT market to open, bypassing the 7000 sat it cost on BTER to buy it at ShareX, and bang, right after I bought it all hell broke lose. I don't think the Dev is a scammer though. Last time it went down I was confident it would return. So, something must be up with the dev. He needs a team with people that can if not fix problems, at least provide timely updates and keep in contact with those that can fix issues. |
