Bit-street.com noticed offline today. Removed from the list. 103 exchanges remain on the list.
1662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Offerings to Cthulhu - 1.4 is Here! Now accepted at Coinworks.info on: April 26, 2015, 04:32:38 AM
Hey guys,
If you want to get Offerings listed on Cryptopia.co.uk exchange, get out there and put in a good word on the chat and vote the coin up. I think it has a chance.

People are talking about it.

Cryptopia is a fine place to trade. OFF would be fortunate to be listed there.

2500 free Neucoin for all!  Allegedly worth $25, which you can dump into the initial release and buy 10 UNO!

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/neucoin2?referrer=8246

Find out more about this piece of shit at Neucoin.org, but follow the link above so that they'll give me 5 UNO's worth of shitcoin too!

Thanks

Gekko

It's so difficult for me to wade through "whitepapers" any more.  I've read so many of them. Same hype, different speaker. Coin IPO's are gambling, pure and simple.  I love gambling, and sometimes I buy into them for fun. Uno is my major holding, followed by Btc, followed by a few small coins I like that I'm accumulating a whale position in just for fun.  I've made money, lost money.  I don't keep score. As long as I'm having fun, that's the bottom line for me.

These ipo's all seem the same. though.  Same shit, different day.  The process of buying in & dumping on "investors" is the same, and oh so predictable. Even if the devs are honest, they can't control the whales that wade into the market and leverage the hype to pump & dump.

UNO is the only coin I feel comfortable in long term.  #Vetted low inflation crypto is what I'm after.

Do you have a product or service to sell?  Post it in the Cryptopia marketplace and accept Unobtanium payments.

Added #104, exbito.com.

Discovered them amid a report of fraud.

I list all exchanges here, including the scams exchanges.

Caution is always warranted.

1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHA-256][21coin] ULTRA RARE 21 COIN - NOW IN CRYPTORUSH.IN - 3 EXCHANGES! on: April 24, 2015, 01:07:31 AM
I still have some of this, and a client that has the blockchain.

Anyone interested in a revival of the network? I could put my client back up.

I am not interested to  accumulate BTC or fiat. It is very obtainable. Very easy. I am interested to obtain  The Rare. So are you?

I am in agreement.

I have long explored the world of rare coins.  Among rare coins, Uno is rare. It is the most successful, honest, vetted, established, fair rare coin of all.

The most recent is LMR, which promised 100k coins total. The dev is gone and LMR is already way over 100k coins and still making more.

AMK, 1 coin, one of BW's projects.  A little too rare for my taste, but it has its fans. Not traded, afaik.
21, dead and buried. Lots of it lost in Cryptorush hack (rumored)
23Skidoo, one of Blazrs cool ideas, still has a dedicated core, running without problems, but painfully slow production. Traded. Hope here.
42, traded, but no dev and wallet problems. Once famous, it is now hanging on and trading for a tiny fraction of prior worth.
66, has a dedicated core group still, tiny community, still traded. Some hope here, but nearly mined out.
84, can't get the wallet run. Might still be alive, who knows. Not traded. Lots of it lost on Palth.net hack (rumored).
Kashmircoin, 1k coins, community picking it up after dev left and big POS technical problems. Not traded.
Synch, 1k coins, but has POS so not truly 1k coins. Still holds a little market value though.
LMR, 100k coins but scam, already beyond 100k. Dev walked away.
MCR, 200k coins, totally dead, even after attempted revival.
ASR, 200k coins, totally dead. Shit wallet, failed fork.
BTB, 500k coins eventually, about 10k per year; failed launch, low numbers but high inflation for years to come.

and on and on...

And then there is Unobtanium, the most successful rare coin. Uno is the one that made it and is still making it.  When you own Uno, you know what you own.  If you like rarity, scarcity, and low inflation, then you have to like Uno. There's just nothing else like it that is viable.

How many 66 coins have been mined now?

If I do the math of 0.000066 x 558141 blocks I get about 37 66.   Is that about right?

You´re missing the random superblocks...   Wink

moneysupply" : 63.53619520   <<==== mined so far.

What happens at 66 coins?  0 reward blocks after that, and only tx fees?
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / BTC-Market.org is up, for the moment on: April 23, 2015, 12:29:26 PM
BTC-Market.org is back online as I write this. This exchange went down a few weeks ago.

There is not much coin out there, but if any of it is yours this might be your last chance to retrieve it.
Not going to re-list them as they still appear dead, no communication about what's going on.

update: 4-24-2015, site is offline again already.
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Exchange List] List of AltCoin and Bitcoin Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: April 23, 2015, 02:07:59 AM
Removed Rockytrade.net. Noticed offline.

102 exchanges listed.

1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining? on: April 22, 2015, 08:59:32 PM
Memorycoin was fun for awhile, but never profitable for me.  CPU mining is too inefficient, imo. Who wants to burn out a cpu on an unprofitable coin, when there are plenty of unprofitable sha coins that can be mined on cheap usb block erupters.
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes an altcoin rise in the market? on: April 22, 2015, 08:53:46 PM
You need a fair start, some transparency, vetted and proven over time not to be a scam.
It should be worth talking about. It needs a message, a story.
It nees a value and belief system.
It needs an undying committment from a core group who understands the meaning to the core group.
It needs a vocal community, not necessarily a huge community, who believe in it.
It requires some kind of differentiation that sets it a part and make it unique or better in some way.
It takes people who will willingly invest their time talent and energy to promote the cause.

If it's the best anon coin in the world, then find your rabid core believers in privacy.
If it has lowest inflation, find the inflation haters.
If it specifically facilitates a certain activity, find the people who participate in that activity.
It it helps green the planet, then find people who want to do that.

For a coin to succeed, someone has to believe so intensely in it for so long that others will also believe, or find it fun or cool to be connected.

Acceptance by merchants is desirable but overrated in and of itself. Convertability is more important, so add a market to the list.

That is good news about BitcoinCommodities! Uno has a lot of precious metals enthusiasts. It should be a good fit. Welcome, @2weiX.

3.5 Btc buys the entire Uno book at Bittex.
Trading is below minimums past couple of days.

I like that Bitcoin clock!  Is there a java hacker here could do that for Uno?
edit: Actually looks like it was a hack from a php project called CoolClock 2.1.4
