1741  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: December 22, 2016, 05:03:28 PM
The worst I have made was my first entry into Bitcoin and I quickly made some coins but because of lack of trust that is yet to be built by me in Bitcoin, I just sold at ridiculous price because I was of the opinion that its better to have it in cash than in wallet. After like one week I made that decision the price of Bitcoin just went on the increase and I was completely sure that is my worst decision ever in this world of Bitcoin...
1742  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Best selling item online for bitcoins? on: December 22, 2016, 04:52:24 PM
Another item that I have seen move very well on this forum is hardware, the hardware part but I dont know how those guys there even calculate the hash rate and the likes. Another product is computers and phones but the issue there is the quality of the one sent and because of the distance as a result of shipping and the likes...
1743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: December 22, 2016, 04:44:02 PM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

There is no way we can eradicate the use of Bitcoin for social vices that you mentioned above even the Fiat we all use people still use for same purpose and there is anything anybody can do about it and does that mean Fiat is bad? No. I have seen read porn sites accepts credit card payments which means if tomorrow the world adopts another form of currency, they will definitely switch because they need to sell their services and receive payment in return...

1745  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: December 22, 2016, 04:26:31 PM
I know and I believe its not happening and dollar cannot replace Bitcoin either as a currency in the US or a currency for international trade. They will both co-opt to make the financial system a better platform. Its either Bitcoin gives room for such co-option or its banned in the US and if its done that way, then I see quite a number of countries following the same pattern which will definitely be bad for Bitcoin...
1746  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if we use a one currency only? on: December 21, 2016, 08:35:14 PM
If the whole world uses one currency than all country will be equal, the economy is controlled by who owns the international currency in this case the united states , if we all use international currency than the smaller and poorer countries people won't have to pay a lot of taxes .

One currency will lead to one government for entire world. Maybe bitcoin may pave the path for that.

I see that happening but not close to soon though because its a gradual process,we have a language that is dominating other languages gradually, then finacial systems are synchronising transactions, we have accounting standards that is applicable across countries among other things. It wont be far before we get to a currency that will be adopted and Bitcoin might provide that since its not started by a particular country to the best of my understand for world leaders to be clouded by ego...
1747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go up another 100% on: December 21, 2016, 08:29:41 PM
something else might be suitable technically but these druggies want money. they're not going to have much use for an alt that can be destroyed in value between taking an order and having to pay off their cartel buddies.

Going up another 100% from what it is now which is $822 to now move to $1644 is actually a big feat in which I am not seeing happening soon. The threat I am seeing to that is the attention its gaining especially from government which might eventually erode the reason quite a number of free thinkers came into it in the first place... Aside that I can boldly say the road maybe long, but it is possible...
1748  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying clothes with bitcoins? on: December 21, 2016, 08:06:16 PM
Buying clothes with the bitcoin is possible and not hard, you can already find some clothing on Bitify as a example.

I am sure it will not be hard as you suggested because its just going to be as buying with Fiat but the issue that I am sure is that Bitify is not located in my country which menas I wont get the cloth the same day I make the order at the same time it could be more expensive because Biify will add shipping cost. So, I just save myself the trouble by just buying here offline...
1749  Economy / Services / Re: Marketing Manager Needed For computer/technology ecommerce site on: December 21, 2016, 03:49:36 PM
I believe an Employer is at liberty to determine the conditions of work having done his own analysis and budget. He is also at liberty to choose whoever he is of the opinion can do the job better without any apology to anybody. And for him to specifically ask for members from those Nations having know that this forum is a conglomerate of Nationalities, then he knows what he is doing and knows what he wants...
1750  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: December 21, 2016, 03:38:13 PM
The question I would like to ask is, "How is it my civic responsibility to determine or even advise local businesses to accept Bitcoin?" I believe that should be the function of government. Aside that talking about local businesses, then it means after explaining Bitcoin to them, then I will need to also show them how to transfer to wallet and the likes but what if they now sell accepting Bitcoin and their own suppliers does not accept, then it means they have to convert to Fiat in which in the process, they might be scammed... And I will be blamed for that... Hopefully government can take the responsibility then I can give support...
1751  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where would you invest if you had 40$/day ? on: December 21, 2016, 03:32:44 PM
I would probably start from the least risky to the most risky starting form the part where I get to just leave it there and wait for the price to increase then moving forward to the one where I join a gambling site to Bank-roll, going further I then consider doing trading even though I am not a Pro there, then I can move on to gambling which is the most risky to me...

1753  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What places do you do your shopping online? on: December 21, 2016, 03:22:16 PM
I basically do my online shopping at our own local store because doing it on major store like Amazon or Ebay means I have to pay in dollars and by the time I convert using our own exchange rate to dollars then it means I am paying a lot of money not even adding the shipping costs that will come along with it. So I just do my thing here and for those not available online, I convert to Fiat then buy...
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: December 21, 2016, 03:01:06 PM
It will never kill the income tax or any other service of the governments if the governments legalize bitcoin for their affairs and provide different facilities for the usage of bitcoin in the state especially the states need to start their own wallets so they will perform their duties for the currency of bitcoin and they have to allow banks to use bitcoins.

Thats my same position. So far we need government to legalize Bitcoin they will never do anything that will jeopardize their own selfish interest or that will write down their popularity and influence and thats what will happen if Bitcoin should kill income tax which is one of the main source of government revenue. Unless they are able to get ways to tax that Bitcoin, then I see them banning that form of currency in no time...
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: December 20, 2016, 10:11:34 PM
The only fun part of any game is when I am winning even if its the most boring game around, because I dont see how I will say I am catching fun at the expense of my money going down the drain as a result of losing I doubt if anyone will laugh and enjoy that... Anything that wil be fun to me must be backed by more money in my pocket thats all...
1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: December 20, 2016, 09:48:07 PM
I have not seen anyone in their right mind ever addicted to failure or losing. Anyway if there is any one of such then it is no longer normal. That being said, the only addictive part of gambling is the winning part and the will make one to come back or the feeling of winning is another thing one can also be addicted to in gambling. Aside those two, I see nothing else.

1758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would the Casino of your dreams look like? on: December 19, 2016, 10:45:09 AM
The kind of casino I would love to see, is very simple since I am not a coder neither am I a strong gamble but among the things I want to see at first is a fair platform where when I lose, I want to lose fair without someone at the other end trying to short-change me. Another thing I want to see is, a function and responsive customer care rep who is ready to provide valuable information concerning problems or inquiries... Give me those two, and I am good...
1759  Economy / Economics / Re: How stable will bitcoin be? on: December 18, 2016, 09:47:36 PM
The stability of Bitcoin is actually like a two-edged sword which has its advantages and disadvantages in the sense that the instability of the price is actually bringing more people into Bitcoin because the increase or decrease cannot be predicted as I can buy at $750 and the next week its $780. On the otherhand, its what is keeping major merchants out as it means they have to keep changing their price tag to reflect to changes in the price of Bitcoin every time...
1760  Economy / Economics / Re: How a cashless society could kill Bitcoin. on: December 18, 2016, 09:25:55 PM
I really what to understand what is going here because Bitcoin in itself to me is cashless because of the btc I have earned even on this forum I have never seen the live Bitcoin or own one. So, how will two cashless situation negates each other. I am waiting to understand...
