Qora alone is working as a hell of a team, let's do our best for the project. Stop complaining, start doing.
Couldn't agree more

It seems some people are confusing questioning with complaining.

I am sure that soon qora will appear on bter.com

Thanks for your comment, but we need people to build and promote this coin. So get to work, we are going to make it happen together.

When someone asks "what are the benefits of Qora over NXT" what do you reply?

To be Honest, I don't know. Tell me, because I want to actively help and build Qora. Thank you.

Security. Qora uses a secure seed to regenerate a Wallet + a private key to make sure the wallet is save for everyday use.
Besides that, not much at the moment. Theoretically Qora has varying block speeds to match the current amount transactions being processed. As there are not that much transactions in the net, this feature is dorment at the moment. I think it will lead to Qora being more efficient than NXT in the end. Can't tell for sure at the moment though.

Doesn't Qora also have a smaller transaction fee than NXT?

And much better client. Launching Nxt client takes forever, plus it's web based. Also everybody can access your Nxt account unlike Qora client, so Qora is more secure. Plus fully functioning Naming Service.

We are talking about a completely new POS algorithm here! And totally new code!

Plus the wallet is absolutely awesome. Simple, fast and user friendly

Is there any explanation of what the actually means? This coin looks very interesting and I am onboard, but you have to admit, the OP has a lot of sound bites with very little substance.

You could look at it like that or you could look at it that he's focused on the real development of the coin and not marketing. In fact he has said he doesn't plan to market Qora until the client is finished. In theory if left to his timing, Qora wouldn't be on an exchange and there would be zero marketing. But like he has said he can't stop people doing these things even if he wanted to.

I get that. But, then why officially release it before the wallet is ready then? What's the hurry?

Some people said we need miltipool for Qora, someone said we don't.

What do you guys think? I could increase a bounty for that or cancel it. What do you say?

I think it's a good idea. A multipool that pays out Qora has to BUY Qora, hence supporting the price.
1765  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 27, 2014, 07:39:26 PM
Rly good post man. And kinda correct. I invested in PB , bought 5ghs with 0.051 btc, its been 3 months now and im almost even.

My experience is similar. Weekly return is about 8-10%. So, your buy is paid for in about 10-12 weeks. The other 4 years and 40 weeks is all profit.

If this wasn't profitable, people wouldn't be buying it. And, buying 30GHS for $76 for 5years at PBMinning is MUCH cheaper than the $299 for 1 year you pay at Cloudhashing.

BUt still it is a perfect setup for ponzi Smiley . I just dont think it is.

I guess it's possible. But, the payouts come close to the bitcoin mining calculators. Of course you could say that's by design. But, why would a ponzi shut down buy orders? To "look" legit?

I guess, so once again, only "invest" what you can 100% lose. All my crypto buys have been disposable income. I'm not betting the farm or the kids college funds or my 401k on this stuff.

i've read those. But, read the NXT announcement and the QORA announcements. Read the message each user posted. They are obviously different people from their language style, the way they talk/post etc. At least to me.

sell old machines? really. for foot warmers?
there must be some computational application for a hashing device... Huh

How about as an ASIC miner. There might be people willing to buy a 6month old miner for 25-50% of what a brand new miner would cost.

But still, my point was, old inefficient machines are probably being replaced rather than sitting there wheezing on the difficulty and sucking down kilowatts.

I see SHARE is up 100% today.   Cheesy

Someone nailed it earlier in this thread. Buy on the weekends after the panic selling, sell on the weekdays after the price has recovered.

I guess he should if he is BCnext!  Grin

Which I highly doubt is the case.

I disagree. The NXT wallet is much superior. I guess I don't care much about opening time, cause I keep wallets open most of the time. It could be that NXT is slower cause it has more blocks to d/l.  Also, if the NXT wallet is running on one PC in your house, you can access it from any other PC.

What do you mean, "everybody can access your Nxt account"?

Are there any bounties offered? For example, would you create a bounty for editing the white paper. It is very awkward for an native English speaker to read. I would be happy to clean it up for a reasonable bounty.

Some informations about ShareXcoin: We are working on fiat payments. There will be USD markets soon.
Regarding ShareCoin: The distribution platform where payment are made in ShareCoin is being developed. We also have plan to build a wallet for ShareCoin like the one Nxt has. Will update you guys with more infomations later.

Excellent. Any plans for margin trading?

sorry for my noob question, but when i open up the client there is a dos window, what am i doing wrong?   Huh

Nothing. That is the java console. Usually it is hidden, but I expect they have not hidden it until they get the bugs worked out of the wallet.
1776  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 27, 2014, 06:07:51 PM
poor pb he will need to wear a neck brace around to handle the hardware in his head from his one century long contracts

The contracts are 5 years, not a century. Yes, I know you were being hyperbolic.

That said, you aren't buying a contract on a particular machine. PBMining provides the contracted hash power. He is welcome to sell off older machines and buy newer more efficient machines throughout the contract.

I just signed up for this, hope it works, thanks!

Please re-read the opening post:

"Only accounts with Activity 28 and higher are eligible."

I assume this is to prevent a bunch of sockpuppet accounts from trying to game the system.

Zip, you should add NXT, is traded in big volumes

I agree. It's near the top of the list. We should all vote for NXT to be added!

Should be added directly, without vote
People are having a hard time with BTER and NXT, deposits/withdrawals takes forever on bter
To make a nice home for NXT here, will be huge

I'm cool with that too! I'm waiting for NXT on ShareX to buy it. I've heard to many bad things about BTER to want to buy it there.

taking too long to load block chain...I think qora plans to speed up load time...important especially now that the blocks are passing by quickly...takes me at least 25 min to upload and having to do it once a day...hmmm

Too long to load block chain???...  once a day???...  are you on version 6?   Undecided

Edit:  I am on the Poloniex Trollbox trying to get them to sync their Qora wallet.

This is what shareXcoin exchange dev went out of his way to implement his own wrapper around the block chain... and you are all jumping ship. Sad
