181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Precautions For Safety This Yelutide Season on: December 01, 2023, 02:02:32 PM
With this high festive season, different form of scams are also prevalent. Always practice caution is the key. Do not entertain random strangers that you meet online or even offline. If you are offered with too good to be true projects or investments, obviously those are scams so always think a thousand times before you bite their offers. If you really want a secured and highly profitable and guaranteed investment, then trust only bitcoin. Bitcoin might be quite expensive than altcoins, but with long term hodling, you will reap totally life changing profits.

This is the season of spending, so to avoid regretting after, know your limits before you try to spend. Christmas cash gifts and bonuses are highly expected, so use it wisely through bitcoin investment or any other proven profitable investments, and not just use for merry making and partying.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: December 01, 2023, 12:44:07 PM
I have a developer who recently stumbled on multiple AI he uses for sport betting predictions, he uses it to generate sport bettings but none of the bets gets to be accurate as it generates tens of games. but when used to generate a much lesser number of games the predictions are sometimes  correct, at least 3 in 10 predictions of "multiple" bets.

But he loves having 30+ games "multiple" bet to win big amount and so far it has been a challenge in the last 5-6 weeks as his winnings have drastically dropped.

Should AI be relied on for sport betting predictions?
Gambling outcomes are always uncertain and unpredictable that's why you need to create a smart and wise analysis so you will come up with a positive outcome. And sports betting is not an exception, although it's more on skill based than luck based but still you have to use your own knowledge and skills as there could be sudden factors that will affect the expected result and come up with an unexpected one. So if you use AI in this type of games, it will never be reliable since sports betting outcomes are not fixed and do not follow a pattern that makes it hard to predict.

AI predictions are actually not accurate and reliable at some point. Though it could be beneficial in other matters, but I don't think it will work in gambling most especially with sports betting.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 30, 2023, 09:35:32 PM
People who think about this are obviously not knowledgeable about bitcoin. Because if they have prior knowledge about bitcoin, they will never try to question it's nature and potentials, especially that bitcoin has already existed over a decade and yet shutting down was still not experienced.

Although the future remains unpredictable for Bitcoin, but if we chose to keep the positivity about bitcoin and always longs for its long term success, then thoughts like this should never be entertained.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: November 30, 2023, 08:59:21 PM
Quote
Guideline 1: Gamble no more than 1% of household income
Don’t bet more than 1% of your household income before tax per month. For example, someone with a household income of $70,000 before tax should gamble no more than $58 per month.

Recently I decided to risk only 1 percent of my gambling portfolio into each bet. This makes my bet risk free as I know that even if I lose the bet i will lose only 1% of my gambling money.

Do you guys also follow a similar strategy like gambling with 1% or 2% on each game? This way not only we are safe from losing big amounts but at the same time, we never find ourselves in a situation where we go all in, in some bet and then have the fear of losing all of our money.

You must have heard 1% strategy in trading, the same can be applied in gambling too and believe me, you will feel a lot more comfortable using this 1% of your money in every game.
This also gives you a lot of games to play before you end up on your money as on every bet you will use 1% of your money. In case you lose all bets, you will be playing 100 games because your money is exhausted.

The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines
Risking 1% in gambling could be the safest strategy when it comes to gambling, that is even if you lose them all, there will be no regrets and issues. But for me, it's like I'm risking for nothing. It will be more challenging if it's 3-5%, but I guess gambling with 1% is quite boring for me.

I may be quite generous when it comes to betting but it's the only way I'm getting thrilled. The important thing here is that I still got to manage my expenses and losses from my gambling habit, and my finances are not put at risk.
185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Feeling more comfortable while integrating into the forum community on: November 30, 2023, 02:13:38 PM
The grammar part can be ignored as long as a person is able to make others understand his point. Not all of us are native English speaker. We have much lacking. We don't have enough collection of vocabulary or grammar knowledge. But, yes. correcting grammar is a good thing. Even though, most of us don't maintain this. Even me. I try to be but not always. I only use Grammarly or Quilbot only when making an official own thread. But apart from that, I'm always writings English as I see fit.

Poor grammar creates the ground for the fact that the meaning of what is written is often incomprehensible. And this leads to the fact that readers begin to think out what the author did not mean and interpret what was said in their own way, which is why the thread of the discussion is lost and spoiled. Therefore, grammar is an extremely important component of quality communication on the forum. I'm not a native English speaker either, but I advocate for users to improve the language as well as the quality of their posts themselves.
Even if using poor grammar is still tolerated in the forum, but we should not be comfortable with it since there will really come a time that the forum will strictly impose correct usage of grammar or correct spelling, otherwise you will be out in the forum if you ignore improving it.

The forum makes an effective outlet for learning, not only about bitcoin and the crypto market, but it also encourage us to use specific and appropriate words so that the main thought of one's post will be carried out well.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Its A Gambling Joke But Reflects Bad Things About Gambling on: November 30, 2023, 12:16:52 PM
I don't know if you've encountered this joke before, I often see it in my feeds coming from Gambling groups where I am a member

Guy 1: Hey, I have a friend who gambles a lot, and he just bought a new bike.

Guy 2: Wow! Your friend must have been lucky in gambling.

Guy 1: No! He used to drive a car but because of gambling, he sold it, and now he just bought a new bike to get to work.

Guy 2:  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

The first time I read it I laughed a lot but if you dig deep or think about it you will realize that it reflects many gamblers who are losing a lot and they have to sell things that are important to them and find an alternative.

How about you do you have a gambling joke of your own or you've encountered that reflects the gambling experience of many, come share it here
Haha you got me OP. This one is really funny, and it's not just actually a joke but a real life realization for all gamblers. That is, if you gamble without caution, without knowing your limits in gambling, you will certainly end up with a huge loss and just settle to what you can only afford. This serves as an eye opener that in gambling, its more of a loss than win, especially if you keep chasing for some profits in gambling.

However, some gamblers are just extra lucky that when they start gambling, all they own is a bike, but when they hit the jackpot prize, they purchase their brand new car. Well, this is the irony but still possible with gambling.
187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: November 29, 2023, 09:32:25 PM
I do believe that most traders are not really profitable, because if they really are, they will not be making noise in the social media trying to convince people that trading can make them rich and profitable as long as they make their subscription immediately. This can be a form of scamming or manipulation most especially to those who easily fall on their traps. While there are traders who are actually in profits, but they do it secretly without announcing to the world that they are good and profitable traders.

Maybe because the social media is the home of the scammers, this could be the reason why a lot want to gain self-entitlement and claim theirselves as profitable traders. At least, if they are not making five or six digits in trading, it can always be possible in the social media as long as they gain a lot of viewers and subscriptions on their videos and channels.
188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why rush, instead of taking your time to learn about the forum ? on: November 29, 2023, 03:35:26 PM
For me, this realization often comes not actually to newbies who are starting to explore the forum, but for those who are losing a lot because they think that bitcoin is a get rich quick and so they need to make learning fast and decide to trade or invest, or join signature campaigns. People only learn after they have made errors and losses, and probably that's the time that they will go back to the basic and take time learning.

Apparently, this should be our first mindset before taking risk in the crypto market. But only few are able to realize this as majority are eager to learn and earn after.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes betting is just ridiculous. Sometimes it is complete nonsense. on: November 29, 2023, 01:47:07 PM
Betting on war never makes sense at all. And what kind of casino that is expected to deal on this, if there's any then that could be an illegal one. And those who probably bet on this have no sense of right thinking as they chose to make fun of the event despite of how many people that have lost their lives on a war.

Although I still believe that betting on this sensitive topic is still possible, but they must have done it in shady areas as only those fools who are eager to win in gambling suicide to enter this kind of betting.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: November 29, 2023, 12:25:00 PM

I have always advised people not to take gambling seriously but I myself became heavily addicted to live blackjack from stake.com and kept winning and losing. In this case I will not blame the gambling site because they give live cards. I started the game with just $20 but gradually I got addicted to it and wanted to gamble and win bigger amounts by depositing bigger amounts. I lost $1700 playing this way then I decided to play with a much bigger amount and recover all the losses then quit gambling for this I borrowed 270000 BDT ($2180) from the bank and deposited there. But unfortunately I lost them. Now I am financially so weak that it has become very difficult to meet my family expenses and I owe the bank $2180 which will take me a long time to pay off. Now it will take about 2 years for my financial situation to be normal again. Gambling addiction set back my normal life by 2 years. I am a victim of real experience and I am sharing my real experience with you.  Don't make the same mistake I did.  And never decide to gamble with a loan. If you do, your situation may be similar to mine. so beware of gambling
Thank you for the reminder but I think if you decide to enter gambling, you should know your limits always. Be a responsible and disciplined gambler, by not spending more than the amount that you can afford to lose. In times where you don't have enough funds, then never decide to gamble and avoid taking a loan as much as possible.

Gambling is not a reliable source of income, and most of the time gamblers end up losing than winning. So there's no way you can guarantee gambling to pay your loan, unless if you have other businesses that can generate consistent profits and use those profits to pay your loan. But still, taking a loan should always be avoided if you don't want to compromise your finances later on.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. on: November 28, 2023, 09:51:08 PM
Bitcoin right now probably can't make you rich, but it can help give a good boost to your net worth — obviously due to price appreciation, and depreciation of fiat currencies.

Bitcoin isn't a get rich quick scheme, it's a not-get-poorer scheme.
Don't expect to get rich quick with bitcoin, only novice traders think about that as they are eager to make immediate profits but their knowledge and experience are not sufficient enough.

Bitcoin may cause you mistakes and losses at first, but if you are persistent enough to take the risk and overcome those mistakes and losses, then it's certain that bitcoin in the long run will make you rich and make your finances stable and secured. The only problem with bitcoin is how to get it started, but when you're already in the process of reaching your goal, getting rich is not actually a problem since that will be the final destination if you are not a quitter with bitcoin.
192  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am a Bitcoin novice, somebody help. on: November 28, 2023, 08:57:38 PM
I am new in this forum. My friends always talk about this forum and Bitcoin. I want to know about Bitcoin and how to benefit from it.
With the way people talk about Bitcoin, it shows that Bitcoin will turn to a major project in the future. I just want to have a place now. Even if I am late, I know in few years time, I will be earlier than many people.

Please I need help on how to learn Bitcoin and grow here. Thanks.
Just maximize your time studying the bitcointalk forum. Explore the forum and read a lot, if you can do that, you will gain better understanding with bitcoin and on the crypto market. You don't need to put all your time studying the forum, that will make you bored later on. My suggestion is don't be too serious but enjoy your stay in the forum instead. Learning is not just all about reading and understanding, but it also comes with fun as learning becomes easier and more effective if you also enjoy what you are doing, and not because you are forced to do it because you saw the potentials of bitcoin.

And keep this reminder, bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. If you want to make decent profits from bitcoin, then work for it and make your current rank or position grow while trying to gain your identity and character in the forum.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling are mainly for rich and lucky mind. on: November 28, 2023, 07:58:45 PM
It is obvious that no good thing that come easy and when you are not lucky in gambling you are not lucky and a lucky person in everything he tries might still be a lucky person on gambling because i dont see what you know you do consistently and is not favourable to you yet you are still in it, that is stupidity to a reasonable man and even if your taking it to be for funs but definitely you are spending carelessly on it and truly the mindset of a gambler is to get not to loose and on a casino game a real gambler must wisely have a plan and adhere on rules to actualize it target and rich gamblers stake high in a low game which is possible to win but does not get addicted  because he analyse and strategize before staking so if it is not favourable to you does not mean is not favourable to some lucky persons and these are the mindset of rich person(mind)not of the poor person (mind).
Everyone has the right to gamble, as long as he knows the risk of losing, and as long as he has money to bet, regardless if its huge or not. It does not matter whatever your status in life, but as long as you can afford to lose, then you're actually good for gambling. Although gambling is all about pure luck, and only those who gamble with luck will certainly be more profitable than those who gamble that are not favored by luck.

However, that does not mean that if you're poor and unlucky, gambling will not fit for you anymore. If you only want to entertain yourself with gambling, you don't need luck anymore but only money to bet and lose. But I doubt if there are still gamblers out there who just want to gamble to get entertained, since majority are still longing to win and make big money from gambling.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 27, 2023, 09:39:09 PM
Gambling is not like trading that the more you practice trading in the market, the more you become skillful and gain higher chances to make successful trades. Instead, the more money you decide to bet, the bigger the amount of losses mostly in return. Gambling is certainly based on luck, so if luck does not favor you the time you gamble, then expect series of losses. When it happens, better to leave the casino immediately, otherwise all your money will be used up and go home with an empty pocket.

So I don't see this as a good and reliable advice. Although some may be lucky enough to win big in their last bet, but most of the time gamblers only lose their last penny before they decide to go home.
195  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 24, 2023, 06:52:50 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.
Rich gamblers have definitely huge bankroll when it comes to betting, which means they have bigger opportunities to spread their risks by diversifying their bets. With that, they were able to gain more opportunities to win, rather than losing all at once. However, when it comes to financial management, I don't think they are highly capable than poor, only those financial analysts understand better financial management.

Apparently, gambling does not make the rich gamblers richer because its always the house that should often win, and not those gamblers who continue to take the risk. One thing is certain, whether you are a rich or poor gambler, gambling will only lead these people into becoming poor as they're not supposed to win all the time in gambling, unless if they have this endless luck that save them from losing.
196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There's always a price to pay. on: November 24, 2023, 05:51:10 PM
As you journey through every phase and stage of life, one of the determining factor that guarantee if you will be successful at what you do or not is the price you will have to pay to achieving success. There are times that you will have to cut off from so many friends just to be focused enough to facing your goals, there will come a time when you might even starve yourself just to get data to do your research on YouTube and other platforms just to become good at the thing you are doing. There are times you will have to endure and cope with the excesses of others just to learn from them, as a matter of fact, if you are not ready to endure whatever comes along with gaining knowledge, you will never learn a thing. Some might take away your night rest and for some persons, they can't even remember the last time they slept complete five hours every night and some might have  forgotten that people even still sleep in the afternoon. These are just a few of the so many sacrifices you will have to make depending on the peculiarity of what you are doing, just to become relevant and successful. This is the same route every successful person took that has brought them that far and if you ever aspire to be like them, you will need to pay your own price or take the risk of cutting corners and paying the bigger price that might even cost you your life.

Apart from the fact that we are all bitcoinner, I believe one common thing I find among us is the fact that we are all individual that are very passionate and committed at becoming successful at what we do and I hope this meets someone well out there.

Success is not achieved instantly by exposing yourself to the sweet realities in life, but its certainly bitter at first that turns sweet in the process. That is why for you to gain success, one should learn to take the risk and overcome it, otherwise you will never find success on every aspect of your life. While success comes easier to those who are born with golden spoon, but for those who are born poor and empty, they still need to pay the price first by embracing life's struggles and hardships first before they can taste the success in life.

All successful individuals have been living this legacy as everyone should start from a scratch before they reach their successful position in life at the moment, except for those who are favored by great opportunities in the first place.

197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you foresee crypto payments going mainstream soon? Why or why not? on: November 24, 2023, 05:10:16 PM
As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of finance, the role of cryptocurrency in payments is gaining traction. 🚀 I'm curious to know your take on the future: Do you believe crypto payments are on the verge of becoming mainstream in the near future?

The crypto space has seen remarkable growth and innovation, but challenges and skepticism persist. Are we on the brink of a significant shift in how we conduct transactions, or do traditional payment methods still hold the fort?

Share your insights! What factors contribute to the potential mainstream adoption of crypto payments, or do you see any obstacles that might slow down the process? Let's explore the possibilities and challenges together.
I am optimistic that crypto payments will be mainstream in the future but certainly, the process will be tough and hard. The government should favor first crypto and legalize them as crypto payments so that the people will not doubt crypto that its a tool used by scammers or criminals. Instead, the government should start supporting crypto and should encourage all citizens to get educated about crypto so that they will find it easier and faster to transact crypto more than fiat.

However, when will be the government will care about crypto and will start to be more open about crypto. As long as fiat exists, crypto will considered be a threat to existing legal currency.
198  Economy / Economics / Re: No Correlation Between Academic Success and Financial Success on: November 24, 2023, 01:39:17 PM
We have seen that it has been debated that there are more A students who work for C students or there are C students who earn more than A students. Personally I don't believe any of this premise. What I believe is that it doesn't matter whether you are an A student or have a high IQ. Rather it's about having the courage to venture into unchattered territories, including taking calculated risk and making the most of the opportunities that lead to high income. In our society today and in the past, the people who have demonstrated audacity and capitalized on privileged advantages to undertake risky yet lucrative business ideas are the ones who end up being of great influence and earn more. Do you agree?

fastercapital.com/startup-topic/Taking-Calculated-Risks.html
Your life during school days does not determine your life after schooling. In short, your academic results do not guarantee your financial profitability in the future. A lot of successful men these days are not actually the excellent students way back then, but because of their hardwork and persistency to reach their goals, they have conquered life's barriers and end up successful.

However, there are also topnotchers in the class and eventually when they apply for their jobs, they end up filling the high positions. That proves that academics achievements still matter, but in most cases, it's the strategies and skills that made you successful in life and achieved financial success in the process. Of course, being patient, having self-discipline and being proactive greatly matter as well.
199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: November 23, 2023, 09:58:58 PM
The growth of Bitcoin over years have made it one of the most sorted after asset in the world right now and to me it's a lifetime opportunity that needed to be seized,

So my question is when is the best time to buy Bitcoin?

Many people that have been into the industry before I even came in have mostly suggested the DCA method, some advice I allowed it to drop to my convenience price before I buy.

As a newbie I feel the DCA method is the best base on my own perspective of looking at it on the long term, I don't know if anyone have any better opinion? Because I believe in the hype that  this forum is filled with knowledgeable people about cryptocurrency.

Its best to enter the market when the market is bearish, that's where you can maximize your profits if you decide to sell in the future. However, if you are for long-term hodling, then everyday is the best time to buy. Do not worry if you buy at an expensive price, its value will certainly double or triple in the next years so always go for long term hodling. And with DCA, then it will be easier for you to grow your portfolio as long as you never stop from buying.

Not just with bitcoin but even in altcoins, apply DCA if you can. But make sure to find the right coins to invest, otherwise you will regret your decision why you spend a lot investing in altcoins.
200  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weak or wise? on: November 23, 2023, 09:25:31 PM
Securing the profit is wise. But he should also look into the next day where his entry point will be. The market doesn't stop when he takes the profit. The term weak was used for those who are dumping, or selling out because of the fud that's what I know, and still used today in stocks for weak and diamond hands.

There is never really a way to maximize TP but you can at least take profit as soon as you see the price is almost the ATH.
There is really no weak or wise in trading, because if you happen to be weak, you have no chances to survive the first phase of your trading most especially that it's in here where you are faced with bigger challenges in trading. The fact that you overcome those barriers in trading, simply means that you are just right in trading.

In times where  you make an exit from your trade, most likely you are already satisfied with your current profits and just leave the future profits for your next trade. No need to specify if you are weak or wise, because once you decide to enter trading, you're in for bigger challenges and combatting those makes you a great trader.
