1808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difficulty to remain constant for the next month on: March 21, 2011, 01:15:27 PM

"those whom sacrifice there liberties for the illusion of false security, desire neither liberty NOR security" (that was a wise man)
...

I think you wrote the quote incorrectly....
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difficulty to remain constant for the next month on: March 21, 2011, 11:09:55 AM
Doesn't difficulty always change with a fixed frequency?

Btw, is there the risk of some "resonance" building up, where more and more people will mines during easy cycles, making difficulty increaae, then stop mining during hard cycles, making difficulty decrease?
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An idea to get bitcoin into every country - kick paypal and liberty reserve out on: March 20, 2011, 11:22:55 PM
Perhaps some games arcade place could hold BTC as their internal tokens, and offer the option of both buying tokens with regular money and Bitcoin, and also extracting one's tokens to arbitrary  bitcoin address. Sounds like the type of thing that could set the ball rolling...
1812  Other / Off-topic / Re: ... like home on: March 20, 2011, 09:23:00 PM
Would a unit that can only do process up to half be outlawed too? What about one that can do it only from half way to end? If each individually are legal, would having one of each be illegal?
1813  Economy / Economics / Re: Porn on: March 20, 2011, 09:19:01 PM
that would work for adictive drugs too
1814  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for translations of the Bitcoin article in Wikipedia [funds needed] on: March 20, 2011, 09:08:58 PM
Actually, now i'm thinking more about this, i would rather wait till at least a couple people that feel confident in both languages approves my work, who knows, i might have made some big mistakes.... Also, i guess it would probably be fair to discount a couple BTC from my prize 'cause i keep finding typos on my translation even after having re-read it several times, these things have a way to sneak by unoticed somtimes....
1815  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for translations of the Bitcoin article in Wikipedia [funds needed] on: March 20, 2011, 08:26:02 PM
You did that? Alright. Sure, if you consider that  to represent well your fraction of the work.

1818  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for translations of the Bitcoin article in Wikipedia on: March 20, 2011, 12:16:23 PM

1819  Economy / Economics / Re: Porn on: March 20, 2011, 12:10:42 PM
Not that i would approve (necessarilly), but illegal porn services would probably the ones to be more sucessfull with offering payments in bitcoins, much safer than credit cards that are used all the time to trace customers of illegal porn services.
1820  Other / Off-topic / Re: Wtf... on: March 20, 2011, 11:54:49 AM
I bet that if they really do it, annonymous and a bunch of other peeps will deface a bunch of governament sites with hardcore shock porn that would make the goatse guy blush.
