1401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Besides the government and bankers, who else want Bitcoins dead? on: June 17, 2011, 07:33:05 PM
People who are angry they didn't got in earlier, or got out too soon, and wanna ruin everyone else's fun
1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You just got hacked!!! Where were your coins stolen from? on: June 17, 2011, 07:32:37 PM
Should i only answer if i indeed got hacked, or is it an hypothetical question?
1403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why was bitcoin designed with no inflation? on: June 17, 2011, 07:25:39 PM
Why make somthing that looses value over time when you can make somthing that becomes more valuable over time?

I joined much later than i wish i had, yet i'm ecstatic watching the few coins i got earning me money just by sitting there. I hold no hard feelings towards the people that got in before me, i'm happy for them, but i guess i'm significantly less selfish than your average guy (or at least try to be). I don't get envious of people that have things better than me, i mean, not in the bad sense; i would like to be as lucky, sure, but i wouldn't dare want to rob them of their happiness to have my own, nor do i wish they hadn't been as lucky.
1404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Client Exploit on: June 17, 2011, 07:04:40 PM
No need. Most of these clients are running on windows, which has security holes big enough to drive an M1 Abrams through.

Tanks can go thru lots of things easily regardless of the original size of the opening, perhaps a blimp would be a better vehicle to illustrate your point.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the BTC Network invalidate a transaction if.... on: June 17, 2011, 06:59:52 PM
Well, it is possible to check if some addresses exist, if they had money added and then sent from; but that only means it is a valid address and that at one point in time someone owned; no way to tell if that address didn't got misplaced afterwards
1406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm out on: June 17, 2011, 06:38:53 PM
If you jump out of the train while it hasn't reached the station 'cause it's taking too long, you at the very least gonna get a bit bruised, it's safer to sit down and only unbuckle your seatbelts after the vehicle has come to a full and complete stop.
1407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Price will be $5 by the end of this month on: June 17, 2011, 06:33:38 PM
There will be little (relatively speaking) dips now and then, but long term the price is only going up.
1408  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing: Bitcoin Prizes (Free Bitcoins) on: June 17, 2011, 06:21:37 PM

1412  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: FREE BITCOINS -- Environmentally conscious mining! on: June 17, 2011, 03:33:15 PM
I guess it would be wise to set things up in such a way that it's self-booting, just in case some freak weather keeps the energy sources bellow minimum for too long and the whole thing dries off and shuts down; so instead of having to go there in person to pump up the breakers again at risk of being ambushed by raptors, the whole thing will automaticly get back at work as soon as possible.
1413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want my Bitcoins surgically-placed inside my body. on: June 17, 2011, 03:23:05 PM
Ah, you want it not be easilly detectable...hm, how about engraving the keys as QR codes in a little piece of somthng and then embedding that inside a fake tooth that got lots of metal fillings to hide the signature of what is inside?

1418  Economy / Marketplace / Savings account or some other relativelly low risk investment with Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2011, 01:59:38 PM
I know that just sitting there my 'coins are growing in value, but that doesn't compare to the psychological effect of seeing numbers get bigger; is there anyone out there offering services like savings accounts (where you deposit money and if you don't pull out too soon they pay you some interest) or some other low risk investment where i can put a few coins in and be able to trust that in a few months (and of course in a couple of years) i'll still have them all if i want to withdraw, and likely will have a little more than i put in?
1419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want my Bitcoins surgically-placed inside my body. on: June 15, 2011, 01:41:12 PM
I guess you could engrave the keys in a titanium plate and replace a chunk of your skull with it for example...
