Those using Tor for anonimity shouldn't forget that anyone can run an endpoint, including the people you don't want to know who you are, and at an endpoint all the communication comes out as plaintext as at your modem if you weren't using Tor.

Geocaching has pretty much the same risks for a buyer regarding being vaught in flagrant(sp?) where buying drugs is illegal, the cops could pretty much just as easilly stake out on random coordinates as they can on a street corner or a landmark on a park.

Custom fonts can be used in web pages without the users having to install them on their machine, as long as they got an up-to-date webbrowser.

1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the odds we'll find a collision by the time the last bitcoin gets mined? on: March 26, 2011, 06:03:37 PM
it's not 160 tosses, it's two sets of 160 tosses where each toss in each set exactly matches the result of the same toss on the other set.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JavaScript UI for Bitcoin, QR code, bitcoin: URIs on: March 26, 2011, 04:01:14 PM

1770  Other / Chinese students / Re: offer new ideas on: March 26, 2011, 02:49:35 PM
Why do Chinese people sign off with ~~~ sometimes?

Usually when I see that symbol it is usually attached to ASCII representations of male genitalia?

In Wikipedia you insert your signature by typing 4 tildes, perhaps it's 'cause of that? (i haven't seen anyone "signing off" with 3 tildes though, not here nor anywhere else; where did you see that happen?)

1773  Economy / Economics / Re: A cunning plan.... on: March 26, 2011, 01:58:46 AM
Many would not be able to repeat though; if it was that easy to keep getting more and more loans there would be tons of poor people living like they're millionaires.
1774  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A discussion of truthHurts post about slush's pool on: March 26, 2011, 01:41:45 AM
Isn't 5% the official cut, disclosed from the start?

1779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use same wallet/address on multiple PCs? on: March 24, 2011, 06:59:33 PM
No, i mean the same wallet being used in more than one machine at once
1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use same wallet/address on multiple PCs? on: March 24, 2011, 06:24:38 PM
Would it be possible to modify the client to properlly handle multiple concurrent copies of a wallet? Or the protocol itself needs to be changed for that to work?
