1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: September 01, 2019, 01:31:46 PM
It works in a case of Sport Betting
if you want to win on sport betting you need to study stats historic and recent form

You don't need to be hard working if you are a fan of the sports you are betting in. For example you are a fan of basketball and you always watch their games, you will be able to predict the result of the games. I don't usually do sports betting but if you can analyze games, you can win and for that is not hard work but knowledge.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: September 01, 2019, 11:58:56 AM
Usually winning will become a temporary thing that we get if we can't stop while we are ahead. The intention to continue playing, mostly, will lead us to lose our winning money back to the casino. That is why most gamblers have a bad portfolio in the long run. I myself experienced the same thing. When I am able to get a relatively good amount of money through gambling but have to lose it again at the other days.

I remembered something about gamblers winning mostly in lotteries wherein the money you won in that kind of way has a curse. Usually, the money they will get will not last and usually will end up giving you bad lucks in the way. I don't know if this is true but can someone share any experiences about this? This can also be related to winning a huge amount in gambling, right?
1803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity VS tracing transactions. on: September 01, 2019, 01:05:32 AM
The difference of the bitcoin between fiat is.
Firstly bitcoin is digital crypto currency(digital money) stored at the smart or online wallet and can use it anywhere sending funds to the loves.
But holding of bitcoin is very risky because bitcoin is volatile currency they move without controling by any body they moves itself depends on the demands in the market unlike fiat is control by the government their value in the market depends on theneed of the country to be printed. Unlike bitcoin need to mining.

Obviously, the quicky way to differentiate bitcoin from fiat is that fiat is backed up and controlled by the government while bitcoin on the other hand is not backed up or controlled by any government, it is decentralized. Government will be able to track your fiat transactions while in bitcoin, they will be having a hard time doing that.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your family thinks about that you into crypto on: August 31, 2019, 11:53:11 PM
My family has been supportive about it. They do encourage me to invest more on altcoin. Cryptocurrency has been a safe heaven for me, and am paying my family bills with it

At first my family told me that most of what Im doing is a scam and I should stop doing it since they've heard it on news, also some people are also talking about it being a scam and I might go to jail because of it. Its been years since that and I am still here, right now they don't really hate crypto, they just trusted me that much and told me I know what I am doing.
1805  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: August 31, 2019, 10:51:40 PM
Bitcoin will always be the number one of all cryptocurrency, as you can see on the market, Bitcoin remained the leading cryptocurrency and I think no one can surpass it's place.

In terms of its price, yes. I think that is the only reason why it is said to be number one. But in terms of usage, I don't think bitcoin is number one since there are a lot of more developed and more innovative crypto currency out there.
1806  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: August 31, 2019, 10:15:35 PM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.

I think for now that won't happen mate, because as we all know fiat currency has been used for a decades,
and crypto for now was becoming an alternative payment at the moment in online transaction, but can't be use for
physical payment unlike fiat is not.

What do you mean by physical payment? Obviously you can't use a crypto currency physically since it has no physical form. I think it can be used as a payment in the real world since there are applications now that offers immediate transaction and no fee as long as you are using the same wallet. But it will not replace fiats, not in a long long time.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 31, 2019, 01:26:44 PM
Gambling has not special secret because I have been into this industry for sometimes now but got one that has always helped me to game the system often. What I do to game the system us: hit and run. My secret is, whenever I gamble and worn, I always make my move after win and tend to run from the platform, to be candid, this work in my favor and am not regretting be a gambler.

Luckily I am not gambling in casinos that is the reason why I can also do this, though the problem is that your opponents are the ones that can see you running so usually they will ask for a "balato", or something like that. There is no secret in gambling but there is a way for you to win against gambling, never gamble at all.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: August 31, 2019, 12:22:47 PM
Any further explanation about this news? Why are they talking about "modern slavery" is they are bullying a country and I think it is like the Philippines are their slaves telling us what to do or what to think of. It is all in the hands of our President, Rodrigo Duterte to ban or not to ban online gambling.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 30, 2019, 11:57:18 PM
Some can be new and still be great. Remember, every business starts one day. Just look for Crypto gaming site that has provably fair games and play with. You can test their customer support to see how proactive they are. Those should be the deciding factors.

I don't need to find provably fair games or sites since there are a lot of gambling sites out there that is provably fair and is trusted and tested by a lot of gamblers worldwide. Finding more and more provably fair sites might lead you to scam sites. Also, testing a customer support is annoying sometimes since you wait for some time while as I said, there are a lot of trusted sites out there.
1810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are banks scared of crypto on: August 30, 2019, 11:16:41 PM
The world is moving faster and blockchain transaction is transparent to every one, which bank we adopt cryptocurrency as well.

Instead of being scared, banks should just adopt the technology to develop or improve their technology or their system. I don't know why should banks be scared to it since there is nothing to be afraid of , people will still use and be dependent on banks. Loans to some of the online payment method, we still use our cards, and cards will still be a thing for a long time.
1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All these guys claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto ! on: August 30, 2019, 04:54:58 PM
I don't know what is the gain of that claiming that they are Satoshi Nakamoto, all I know is that he chose to hide for years and years, why would he just appear and say that it is him? He can just make a thread here and say my name is....done. As long as that account is inactive, I will not believe any claims of people saying they are Satoshi.
1812  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some not so obvious things that damage a country's economy? on: August 30, 2019, 04:01:00 PM
Social media and other addictive Internet sites - people are constantly glued to them, even on their work, which decreases their productivity. Social media also cause depression in many people, because they not only procrastinate, but also constantly compare their life to others, which leads to dissatisfaction. Also social media are good at spreading lies and fakes, which can have negative effects on the economy - anti-vax panic, anti-GMO, political manipulation and so on.

The internet or social media should be able to provide a positive influence on the country and in my opinion this has been proven in several countries with the emergence of many new entrepreneurs who open online shops. The internet or social media should not reduce the level of productivity because the aim is to speed up access and transactions

Well, the idea is the connectivity of each and everyone on the planet and that might be the reason why a lot of people are getting hooked by it. Trends, and that is why instead of being productive, they use it to make memes, videos that usually don't have that much of importance.
1813  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: August 30, 2019, 03:11:06 PM
Taxless society can only be appreciated through cryptocurrency, because it's decentralized and financially independent.
You maje your point but everything which is used as a medium exchange of value ought to be taxable and if we want cryptocurrency to be the mainstream of payment there's nothing bad in paying tax since some government gradually support Bitcoin.

right . i heard somewhere that there are now  countries that are now taxing cryptos this is good because tax are helpful to one's economy but this does not mean that cryptos are being promoted or will now become a mainstream payment gateway . taxless society is i think not really possible at all  but its possible for some people to not pay for thier tax especially if they are really poor  , thats what i understand about how taxing works  .

It is impossible to develop a country without tax, it is the blood of the country, as my teacher said in our taxation subject. Some of them might be corrupted by the government but most of them usually go to the country's need, infrastractures, programs, etc. Despite saying all of that, I don't support bitcoin being taxed since the reason I use it is because it is decentralized.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 30, 2019, 12:46:04 PM
I think they are not paid per round, it was only presented to highlight how much they make in the rounds that they fought..
If we look at the figure, that's a life changing for us, but they are superstars, they are paid that much because of us, without us, they won't get that big reward. Even if the fight ended in the first round, I think they will still split the total amount as that was already a guaranteed price.
If a rematch would happen and Mayweather wants a bigger percentage and a bigger guaranteed price, I don't know if that would happen easily,
I don't know how they are sharing the cut with the total amount at stake for both fighters but I guess you are right. Whether the match ends with few rounds, they will still get paid with the whole amount as promised or based on the contract that they've signed.

These figures, they do deserve it for dedicating their time and life in boxing.

But if these kind of cut continues, won't they abuse that system? Let's say Mayweather, he is a great and talented boxer but usually, he's fights are not that kind of matches that will make the crowd wild like Manny's fights. Manny is also litting up the crowd with those flashy moves and the punch fest while Mayweather just punch and pedal back.
1815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 30, 2019, 10:53:33 AM
Right, the fight is boring yet Mayweather pulled it to his win. I don't want to watch the match if that happens but I will still place my bet on Mayweather. I mean it's obvious that Mayweather outwitted Manny in their first outing that why he wins.

What? Why do say that? Manny Pacquiao is stating something in his last fight, that he can do something that can defeat someone who's unbeatable. Manny did not do great in the first fight but I think that is the reason why he did practice new moves maybe to counter Floyd to their rematch if that will ever happen. Gonna bet my money on Pacquiao.
1816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 29, 2019, 11:56:50 PM
Every boxer would be really fired up when they see fights like Pacquiao-Thurman and I know Mayweather wants to do it again with Manny. I think being afraid is a taunt since we never knew what Mayweather is really thinking, we never heard the side of him since as far as I know this is usually the taunt they are using so the other side will accept the offer. Another fight and I hope this will not be as disappointing as the last one.
I don;t think he (Floyd) is fired up. There are news circulating that Floyd is fighting again somewhere in Asia by the end of this year. Its the money that motivates Floyd nowadays for him to come out of retirement. If the price being offered is good, I think Floyd will agree for another match but until no one is ready to give him a good offer, the dream of another fight with Manny will remain as a dream. I heard a group of rich guys in the Middle East is also offering a good amount of money to host the 2nd match.

I guess that is the reason he's doing it, the money. Manny after the fight with one time Thurman helped a lot of people, again when he came back to the Philippines and even made a great speech and proving despite not having a degree, he really wants to help his countrymen. What I am saying here is that Manny wants to fight Mayweather for vengeance, for the pride that he don't hold for himself but also for his country, that is why people love him so much and that is why I can say that Manny is not aiming for the money, he wants to prove something.
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 29, 2019, 11:24:52 PM
I don't understand what you're insinuating when you said Mayweather  his career is slowly going down and he lost his fight lately because the last time I checked Mayweather was named the best sport defensive fighters as boxing is concern and his undefeated records stand still.
Mind you, I don't see any reason why he would be afraid of Manny when he's pretty in shape despite his age.
It took quite sometime before Floyd finally agrees and signed the dotted line in the initial fight. We don't know the reason why it took him so long but other are speculating that he is choosing his opponents to make sure that his zero record remains. I guess that is what he is afraid of, his zero record to be tarnished and not about his opponent.

1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity VS tracing transactions. on: August 29, 2019, 09:54:42 PM
Bitcoin is not entirely anonymous but I would choose it over traced tramsactions. The freedom of spending your cryptos in a way that the government don't know where you are spending them is great. Another thing is that people don't know what is happening since they didn't know I hold bitcoin and at the same time where I am spending it. You have privacy on these cryptos.
1819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC hacked from blockchain wallet on: August 29, 2019, 03:07:48 PM
Thank you for your support. Any help or advice is valuable and highly appreciated. I just want to add that the main reason for posting this was to inform other people of the situation and prevent from making same mistakes.

We all know this and you said to prevent same mistakes? I don't understand since you never posted a mistake in the OP, you also said it might be a security breach but the thing here is that the hacker might already hacked you log in. Better store your balances in a more secure wallet, I don't think this statement is new since there are a lot of threads here saying that it ia not safe to store on online wallets or some called it hot wallets.
1820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what way bitcoin gets increased usage? on: August 29, 2019, 02:32:40 PM
Since day by day, we can't deny that the popularity of bitcoin is increasing, and all the usage of it from the poll is also increasing as well. I think it just matter of percentage but regardless of that, all usage is inevitably increasing.

I think the population is increasing slowly despite that, the transactions are blowing up. I think we don't need to do anything since it is already happening, as you've said it is inevitable since who would not want to transact a huge amount of money with a cheaper fee than the usual ones, right?
