Chicago Bulls VS Sacramento Kings SCORE 114 - 117 - WIN

Just like I thought it was going to be a close game but still, the Kings made the win, Patrick Beverly did an amazing feat with rebounding for the team, and have gotten momentum for them, but it was not enough because the Sacramento Kings are also focused in winning this match, Harrison Barnes got 17 points, Kevin Huerter got 15 points, De'Aaron Fox got 32 points,
Many thought that it will be like this knowing that the Bulls are on the bottom seed while the Kings is on the top
However, the Kings won on the road, but they won in a hard way. I'm thinking what if that shot of Fox that sealed the deal didn't went in, and it goes to overtime? Can they still win? Anyway, it didn't happen, and now they are 2nd again currently tied with the Kings with 4.5 games behind the top seeded Nuggets.

Los Angeles Clippers VS Golden State Warriors SCORE 134 - 126 - LOST

Crazy Stephen Curry has pushed his limits to make 50 points in this game but still, I think the Warrior's defense is very wide in this game that is why, and they are bad at turnovers 16 turns over and I think this needs to be changed while the Clippers Ivica Zubac has a double-double of 16 rebounds and 19 points, Paul George got 24 points, and Kawhi Leonard got 30 points,
As expected. It's on the road. The Warriors lost yet again.

They can't stop Big Zu on the paint. I mean even Looney is having a hard time with him inside. Curry's heroic performance in this game has been spoiled by PG and Kawhi. Let's give credits to Terance Mann as well because he adjusted from their starting PG when Westbrook isn't in the Clippers to now their bench and their potential 6th man. Credits to Eric Gordon as well because he played really well on this game scoring 14 points in the 3rd quarter.

1/5 road game for the Warriors. 4 consecutive road games to go. If you want to bet on their next, maybe it's safe to bet against them if they will play on the road. Not an advice though.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 16, 2023, 08:13:38 AM
I seriously don't think it's proper to just jump on a casino site and begin to request for a wallet to deposit 'em funds and begin gambling immediately, when you're supposed to read alot from the listed TOS,T/C's and FAQs just to know how the whole operational route is supposed to be followed without unnecessary fouls on the long run.
Well, that's what newbies suppose to do, but unfortunately, they aren't reading what must be read because they believe it's a waste of time. They are only eyeing on the possible profits that they can get if they win. Now when the worse thing happens, they will blame the casino for it where in fact, it's their problem that they didn't read what must be read like the TOS, FAQ blah blah.

They are just scrolling down the TOS, check the small box below and proceed. There are some gamblers who are focusing more on their possible profits while there are some who are focusing more on the bonuses that they can get. Well, there's nothing wrong with it, but at least read what must be read.

Like @Fundamentals Of, I'll also admit that I'm not reading the TOS or whatever it is, and TBH, I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you know when to gamble and when not to.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 16, 2023, 07:54:39 AM
Steph Curry has a monster game of 50 points against the Clippers.

But was not enough to pull a win for them, and as what we have been discussing, they played on the road and they have a bad record on it. Kahwi and PG combine for 54 points to offset Curry's game. Klay Thompson, after a explosive game just chip in with 15 points.
And, the struggle continues to the defending champions as they are now on a 9-game road losing streak.
Curry is a monster on this game especially in the 3rd quarter where he single-handedly carried the team, but lost steam in the 4th quarter.

Overall, the Warriors are in a trouble right now. Take note that this is only the first road game for them, and there's still 4 more to go. If they lose all of those 5 games, they will go down really hard and knowing how close the Western Conference standings are, a mere 3 game losing streak will cause a huge problem to the team.

And I think this is a waste opportunity for the Lakers to improved their position, Imagine if they won today and couple of Wolves and GSW lost, they could have been closer to the standing again.

Maybe they think that they can just overwhelm this young team, but they are all wrong. And they give them so much confidence in the 1st quarter alone that they have to make a huge comeback but then fell short of it.
I don't know if the Lakers really don't want to be on the .500, or whatever the reason it is.

I mean in their game against the Rockets, they didn't even take the lead the whole game (aside from that 1-0 from Russell's free throw). If they wanted to clinch the playoffs then at least play better even without their all-stars Davis and Lebron. They are up against a bottom seeded team in Rockets, and they can't even beat them.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's Price after got exploited on: March 16, 2023, 07:36:27 AM
Now my question is, will the price will be back after they replenish the liquidity back on DEX and resume the CEX trading? The price was $4 before the exploit happen.
Possible... or not possible.

When it comes to crypto projects, one hacking incident on the project might affect the trust of the investors towards the project itself. There will be doubts on their mind already that "What if it happen again anytime soon?" or "What if my funds will lost if it happens again?" etc. etc. Another question is that, are you sure that the developers will give back the lost funds to investors? Until they aren't doing it, don't take their words because many project developers did that, but they can't. Take note, they can make a hundred promises, but they have a choice if they will do it or not.

Now to answer your question, there's a chance depending on the outcome of the situation, but there's a chance that it will not even though the developers will give back the lost funds.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH ridiculous fees on: March 16, 2023, 07:24:33 AM
When did you took that screenshot? That's the question.
I guess that was the transaction fee of Ethereum back in 2020 where gas fees are ridiculously very high at that moment. That's 3 years from now. You're kind of late Tongue.

To answer your question regarding how that's even possible, it was the demand for transaction at that time. Many wanted to enter the DeFi hype at that time thus, many people are willing to pay higher fees just to be in the project, and that's the reason why it went to as high as the screenshot you shared.

Currently, the fees of Ethereum isn't as high as you posted OP so I'm wondering did you look at the date where the fees of Ethereum are that high?
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 16, 2023, 07:11:08 AM
Same here because Fajardo won't be around playing for the Beermen for at least six weeks as the injury he sustained in the ESL cup was worse than expected.

I believed 6 weeks is not even enough to cover the whole recovery period for Fajardo's injury.

If able to play, for let's say being cleared after 6 weeks, Fajardo might return to the PBA Finals but not expecting him to return on his usual form.

But obviously, Beermen should do their best to reach that stage. It is surely a tough challenge for them to play without Fajardo on board to reach the Finals.

Well, it seems like the Beermen are still fine even without him looking on how they win against the NLEX yesterday.

6 weeks is what their doctor said, I also agree with what you said that if he comes back, he isn't the usual JMF that we used to see on the court that's dominating the paint, shooting perimeter shots etc. etc. I guess Clark will be having more playing time at the center position now that Fajardo might not play until the Finals (if they will enter the Finals).

On the other hand, that lost by the NLEX Road Warriors put them from 4th spot to 6th spot. I'm not pretty sure if how many teams will have a twice to beat advantage, but if the top 4 has it then the Road Warriors missed the opportunity that they need, and instead, they are now on a twice to beat disadvantage.

Right now, the only series that is sure to happen is the 4-5 series which is the Meralco (4th) and the Magnolia (5th). Phoenix is sure at the 8th spot, Converge is sure at the 7th spot while NLEX is sure at the 6th spot, and all of them are waiting for their opponents.

In contrary for the most speculations of Ja Morant regarding that live he did while holding a gun in a club somewhere in Denver, the NBA found Ja Morant not guilty for bringing a gun in the aircraft towards Denver as NBA prohibits carrying deadly firearms and drugs to any NBA property. Well, I cannot say that I'm glad for Morant because even if he's not guilty, he should know by now that any selfish deeds always will result into a heavy consequence especially if it's proven guilty.
NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver really is a softie. He takes these serious crimes very lightly. 8 game suspension? What's even worse is within that 8 game suspension, he included the 5 games where he is out so he is suitable to return on the 20th against the Mavericks.

Well, for the Grizzlies fans, they loved what they saw, but for other NBA fans (like me), 8 game is kind of not enough for what he did. I mean he is the face of the Grizzlies, the face of Powerade as he has an advertisement there and has a contract with Nike. He must've face more game suspension.

On the flip side, I just hope that he will come back stronger, and will not do what he did last time. I mean that incident alone almost caused him almost a $200 Million Contract. Doing it or at least the same might have some bad problems with regards to his NBA career. Good that he's back even though the Grizzlies aren't struggling really even he's out.
1828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 03:26:17 PM
The Ja Morant story just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Noow some are speculating he might be shut down for the season as he goes to counseling. Seems like he's doing it to try and save his Powerade deal but I think that ship has already sailed. Whatever he decides to do, I hope he gets himself figured out in time to return to the playoffs. What a shame this situation is for the Grizzlies who finally have a good team and were looking to make a deep playoff run this year. Steven Adams must be pissed off about the whole situation.

And still there is no timetable for his return, but we should consider him not returning for this season, I mean they should allow him to play if everything is ok with him, otherwise if could be that he is still not mentally stable and continue his antics outside basketball.

Grizzlies are playoff bound, but we all know that they needed Ja, last year they almost make it but he got injured against the Warriors.

Now they have a good chance, but this unfortunately events resurface.
Since there is no timetable for him to return, it's hard to predict when he will return, and will play with his team.

Well, the good thing is that the Grizzlies are still playing well even without him... at least for the remaining games of the regular season. We know that the playoffs will be a different story. Currently, they are at the 2nd spot again, but only 1 game behind the 3rd seeded Kings.

I'm thinking this scenario. What if the Grizzlies falls down to the 3rd spot before the playoffs and the Lakers somewhat manage to go to the 6th seed. I mean we can't underestimate the Lakers right now, and many will agree if I say that they are a championship contender with their current roster. What if we see Grizzlies-Lakers in the 3-6 seed? Is there a chance for the Grizzlies to win against a team like the Lakers?

Anyway, congratulations to the Milwaukee Bucks as they are the first team to clinch the playoffs with their win against the Suns just a few hours ago.
1829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: March 15, 2023, 08:14:31 AM
I bought a $14.55 bitcoin a few days ago when it was at 22k. Again Bitcoin came to 19k. However, I did not sell bitcoins. I was convinced that the price of Bitcoin would rise again. I buy $50 worth of bitcoins again. Got some profit on this small investment. Looking at Bitcoin 24k today. I will keep it for a long time and will not sell it now. I think at some point bitcoin will pump a lot

Since I can't invest more dollars, I don't have that much money. Still will invest as much as possible.
I'm assuming that you're buying Bitcoin for the first time so with that, it's a good first step already.
I think many already said these to you, but I will share 2 tips that will help you in your investing journey.

1. Keep going - Dollar Cost Averaging. It's proven to be the best long term strategy though I still don't want to use the word "safe" from it because there are still risks to it. Just continue buying Bitcoin, and when you know that the price of it went down, take the opportunities and buy it. Don't be like other investors where they are panicking when they see Bitcoin going down even just a little bit.

2. Don't fall in love with your assets - What do I mean by this? You said that you will hold your Bitcoins for a long time right? There's nothing wrong with it, but set a specific selling time where whatever happens, you need to sell at that time. Don't fall in love with your holdings, and hold it for a very long time. That's my mistake already. I have a mindset where I will hold Bitcoins for a long time, then the bull run came in 2021. I didn't do anything at all, and I just watched the market. The following year is the bear market. I regret not selling a huge portion of all of my assets because I missed the potential profits at that time, and I can just buy more during the bear market
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 15, 2023, 07:40:34 AM
Your friend is addicted for sure.

He can't stop gambling even though he incurs losses already. He don't want to stop gambling because he wants to recover his money back. Even though he is losing that much money already, he doesn't want to stop because he can't afford to just lose the money he loses in gambling and choose to gamble more. He can't move on from his losses.

On the other hand, I'm gambling as well, but I can't consider myself as a strong person as well.

But then he asked me' bro assuming I had gathered all these money I have lost through gambling and channeled it into some sort of a little business or project, wouldn't it have been better!
This is the problem with him.

Assumptions, dream of recovering his losses. An assumption that he will recover his money back, but the reality is that it will remain as an assumption because he is losing more money than gaining more. Little business or project? Maybe you friend needs to wake up from the reality, and I hope you can help him in his addiction.
1831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 07:22:35 AM
When Anthon Davis is doing well, they can easily win the game and with the help of his teammates, it would be possible for them to maintain or get to the upper spot until the NBA playoffs. Every team that has the chance to get to the number 6 spot will really play hard to win their remaining games and so as the Lakers when LBJ will return. I think is a good idea to make him rest for a while since they were really getting more wins anyway and that's really pretty good but I think they want him to sync with the team so that they won't have any problem playing in the NBA playoffs.
We already know what Davis is capable of. It's just that in his last games, his performance is kind of lacking down especially on offense and we can see it during their last loss against the Knicks where he only scored 17 or 18 points I think.

Overall, the Lakers are a good team to watch out now because after the trade deadline, they are coming from a team who can't get a play-in spot to now a team who might at least enter the playoffs. They have players who are good on offense, but at the same time, they also have players who are also good on defense. Davis on this game lead his team with a double-double 35 points and 17 rebounds. Beasley and Russell combined for 41 points.

I'm a bit surprised TBH that the Lakers ended up winning by only 15 points. I mean we've seen the lead of the Lakers go as high as 30+ points. Well, the good thing is that they didn't let the Pelicans get the momentum from the start until the end even though it's their home court. I just hope that they will win on their next game and will be on .500.
1832  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: March 15, 2023, 03:37:49 AM

Do not trash Fiat yourself when it's actually needy, crypto and Fiat must co-exists until the government decide to go digital with Fiat themselves, and Fiat is not trash.
When it comes to stable coins, just remember what happened to UST back when Terra Luna has been attacked causing the project to be destroyed in just a matter of days. Just remember what happened to USDC days ago when it de-pegged from 1$ to as low as $0.87. We've also seen DAI got de-pegged as well. I guess this is enough proof to say that stable coins aren't really pegged to a dollar.

I don't know why investors are preferring holding stable coins than cash. Maybe the potential interest that they can get while holding it in some wallets or exchanges is the reason of it, but overall, I don't think that's a good thing to do.

I can't imagine our world without any cash. Yes digital cash is becoming more popular already and the number of people using it exploded especially during the pandemic where there is a time where establishments aren't accepting physical cash because it might be a potential carrier, but overall, cash is still needed, and it isn't trash at all.
1833  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 15, 2023, 03:09:18 AM
FOR A MOMENT.

Yes it reached that price for only 2 hours, and after that, it went down below $26,000 yet again. Well, the good thing though is that we've seen a massive upward movement after that 2 massive downward movement caused by the Silvergate issue as well as the SVB issue.

This massive upward movement that happen just yesterday might have a small downward movement, but this is a good sign already for Bitcoin. It just shows that the bull are in control again. Bitcoin to $30,000? I guess in a few months, we can see it going to that price. Just wait and see.
1834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: March 15, 2023, 01:56:35 AM
  • Can you pay your Mortgage with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay your house rent with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay all your bills with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay your medical bills with Bitcoin?
I guess as long as both parties will accept to use Bitcoin as their payment method then there's no problem to it, and you can buy literally anything. I mean it's the same a few thousand years ago where both parties agreed to a note that this note is worth something. It's the same with Bitcoin.

As for Bitcoin being a bank, I don't know if I'm dumb, but I can't think on how Bitcoin can be a bank. Yes it's considered as a store of value, but banks have a centralized authority that is operating the bank itself while Bitcoin doesn't have.

"New users are welcome, please read our rules and regulation before making your first deposits"
I've been gambling in an online website for some time already, and TBH, I didn't bother to visit their Terms and Conditions, or FAQ's whatever it is. Even I'm a newbie, I didn't visit or read this one, and I'm pretty sure that the newbies are doing the same.

This quote isn't applied only for the newbies, but also for the gamblers who are gambling on their website for a long time. I mean I'm pretty sure that there are some long time gamblers out there who didn't even have a time to read their rules and regulations. What gamblers are thinking more is the potential profits that they can make rather than the security or the TOS of the website, and when the worst thing happens with them, they will post a scam accusation here, or they will rant somewhere else, and will share their story.

At the end of the day, this quote still isn't helpful for newbies if they don't know how to control themselves whenever they're gambling.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 01:20:45 AM
Warriors won!
Steph and Klay were hot in the 1st half making a 25-point lead. But the Suns never gave up and pursued a close battle, they did and even got close to a 3-point lead. But the early foul trouble and bonus for the Warriors at 6 minutes left in the 4th are what made the difference, then there's Jordan Poole who suddenly got hot.
Did they shake hands after the game? I didn't see it. Seems like even Damion Lee is creating some trouble against Jamychal Green in garbage time.

Great to hear that the Warriors are back! They seem to be on a roll lately, with two consecutive wins against tough opponents in the NBA, the Bucks and the Suns. It's always fun to watch Thompson shoot his normal, and he seems to be more comfortable now in the 3 point line. He has been consistent lately with his shooting, which is great news for the Warriors.
Warriors won "ON THEIR HOME" where they have one of the best home records right now.

TBH, I'm more nervous than exciting on how the Warriors are playing this season. Yes the Warriors are winning on their home, and like you said, they beat Bucks and Suns who are at the top teams currently, but that's on their home. What if that happened on the road? Will it be the same.

That is the thing, it's not that new that we are witnessing the Warriors winning on their home but don't take it wrong, it still makes me excited whenever they are at home because the team is overshooting their stats as they are just so hard to beat at Chase Center or even in the Oracle Arena where the first homecourt of the present core players.
That's why if the Warriors will play like this until the playoffs, at least they might chase the 4th seed so that they can have at least 1 game home court advantage.

On the other hand, I'm also thinking, they are playing like this without their 2 best defenders playing in Wiggins and GPII. We know how good them in what they can do in the court. Wiggins is a good defender, and we've seen it in the last NBA Finals where he guarded Tatum, and he's a reliable offensive player as well. GPII on the other hand isn't as efficient as Wiggins, but he can shoot threes as well, and an elite defender as well.

Aside from the 2 of them, let's not credit Kuminga who stepped up on his performance on his 2nd year as a pro. Dude played really well when Curry was out, and it's just unfortunate that he also experience the same thing KD did during the warm-ups. Overall, the Warriors is still a good team looking at their roster. Like you, I'm also excited watching them playing on their home, but I just hope they will make some adjustments when they are playing on the road.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 15, 2023, 12:58:24 AM
Didn't put much bet this time, and only bet on the Bucks winning on the road against the Suns. Giannis will play (as he isn't in the injuries list), and we know how formidable they are. The top team in the league currently, and they just won on the road against another top team in Kings.

Pelicans -1 against the Lakers
Looks like the Lakers are rolling on the road as they are currently leading by almost 30 points on the road against them.
After a career night by Trey Murphy, and a huge home win against the Blazers, here they are down on their home.

As for the Nuggets, they are yet down again on the road against the Raptors by 20 points. I think there's a problem with the team that the public doesn't know.  Huh Huh

1839  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: March 14, 2023, 01:40:56 PM
How did you survived the asshole pandemic disease (covid19)?  Where you sore afraid? How you deassociate with people? How did you get something to eat?
Days before the nationwide lockdown happen in our country, we already gathered some goods that is enough for us to eat for at least a month or two. Good thing though that we have a nearby store so that we can just get anything that we need. We also have emergency funds at that time, so we used it to buy the goods, and our source of income never stopped because my work at that time didn't stop fortunately, and I'm still getting monthly income.

TBH, I'm not affected by the pandemic at all, or at least the lockdown issue because even before the pandemic started, I'm not going out that much already. We also have enough food at that time, and maybe the fact that we are living in a provincial area made us even safer. On the other hand, I saw online these people who are struggling to find some food and money. Many people begging on the streets asking for help coming from the government. Many people are having a hard time to the point that there are times where they aren't eating, or if they'll eat, it's only once a day.

The pandemic that happened a few years really taught us a lesson. Lesson to have some emergency funds in case things like this happen. I can say that I'm lucky that I'm not affected that much at least financially, but emotionally a little bit because it's really hard to see some people struggling at that time, but there's nothing that I can do to help.
1840  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 14, 2023, 01:08:38 PM
We all know the quote "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" I heard this quote when I was in high school now I'm grown up. I always wondering why?
There are many factors as to why this happens.
Hard work, dedication to what they're doing etc. etc. Right now, the rich are more privileged compare to the poor, but they worked hard for it. Rich know what they will do to their money, and what to do to maintain it. On the other hand, the poor don't know doesn't have any financial literacy that's why they don't know how to use their money to make them out of their current state.

Is it that the rich have already wealth the day they are born? Have savings and investment? While the poor doesn't have any of those?
Nope.
The best example is Jack Ma. He worked hard as an employee and often times, he is being rejected when he applies, but he didn't stop there. He worked hard until he reached his goal of being a successful businessman. Another one is the owner of KFC. The owner of one of the most successful malls here in our country. The list goes on and on. All of the rich now didn't start as rich. Some of them just worked hard and dedicated their life just to be a rich, and successful person.

The point is I started in low before having some savings and investment. I'm not saying I'm already rich but I can say that I'm better than before. Can you guys share your ideas with this topic.
Many of the successful people right now started as a poor person. I still remember the story of the person who is just a shoemaker when he is just a kid until he is the owner of one of the most successful malls in our country. It all comes to, hard work, your goal and how you will achieve it. I mean there's nothing impossible right now. Some rich now dedicated their whole life when they are young to their goal until they reached it.
