Uno is overdue for $5!  

Uno has the strongest hands it's ever had.  With Uno inflation as low as it is, and the size of the top "strong hand" wallets getting larger by the day, my fresh bitcoin is going into Uno up to .025. If I don't outbid those guys, I ain't getting any.

We probably should spend more time on cryptocointalk. It's a good place.

I can absolutely see $UNO as a $5 coin. That would get the cap up to a respectable million dollars. We're not that far away, and if the trend is our friend, it should happen soon.

I would also love to see V500 and Blazr2 reactivate. I think we have not heard the last of them.

If Uno was "shared mined" (ok merged mined) with Bitcoin, let them fork. Who cares, besides the miners. It doesn't make any difference to Uno. The hashes that solve Uno blocks would still be good.

Lets be clear that Merged Mining is not a merger with BTC.

Shared mining would be more accurate, but alas, someone long ago used the term "merged mining" and so we're stuck with it.

All we're doing with shared-mining (ok, merged mining) is allowing miners to find blocks for multiple coins, simultaneously. Their hashes can find blocks on Uno, Bitcoin, Nmc, I0C and other coins. It doesn't change anything with the coin, just secures the Uno blockchain by raising the difficulty immensely. It makes all miners more profitable, and protects Uno from uncertainty as the block reward continues to halve on schedule.

I think we should discuss and learn about sidechains and how it could benefit Uno.  Bryce brought it up because he wants us to talk about it.

It's no secret he hates BCT, as much as he loves Uno. When I see him tweet something interesting I put it here for you guys.  You're always welcome to talk to him on @bryceweiner
He's pretty chatty on Twitter.  I have periodic contact with Bryce by eMail. He's always been responsive to my questions.  I haven't heard from Blazr2 for awhile, but I trust that he's still around watching over uno.

I've been sorting through it. It introduces a whole new world of possibilities for moving assets between blockchains.  I encourage you all to find an hour to sit and read it, then read it again. I'm still not an expert on sidechains, but from what I understand so far, I think there could be a huge opportunity here.

One of the things I love about this community is that I keep getting pushed to learn and educate myself. I'm always learning something. Read through that document and lets pick up the discussion. If you read it, you'll know what I know.

Sidechains as I understand  it, could be transformational to crypto. The "old" Satoshi model is 1 coin = 1 blockchain, and you need to have a risky intermediary to change the value of one coin into another coin, or one asset into another asset.  It challenges us to rethink what crypto could be.  In the case of Uno, what makes it valuable? Is that Uno is tethered to a blockchain (lots of junk coins are, so can't be that alone), or is it everything else that Uno is?  Should uno be bound and tethered to it's own blockchain island so that it's value can only be converted through risky exchanges?  Or, might sidechains bring the opportunity to seamlessly exchange it's value across multiple assets? And if so, what sort of arbitrage opportunities might that provide?  I am still learning about sidechains, but my take away so far is that if sidechains for Uno are ever implemented, you will really, really, really want to be holding Uno before the sidechain is implemented. I think that everything that makes me love Uno, its essence, would be carried forward. It would still be Uno, still rare and fair. Read the paper and I think it will become clear why Uno might be a great candidate as a sidechain.

I know exactly what that's going to do the price of Uno vs Bitcoin.  Glad to be hodling Uno. It's really easy to imagine .02 by end of month.

I'm willing to bet that there's a much, much higher incident of chronic gambler's disease in the cryptocurrency community than among normal people. They know it's a ponzi scam; all they have to do is get out at the top.
Every gambler loves that challenge. Crypto gives them a high because -- at least temporarily -- they're in the money. They just have to overcome their greed.

I've come to a conclusion (or maybe a delusion): a lot of these coins are not coins or currencies at all.  Many of them are just games.  And after the pump, the game is played, and so it's off to the next one.

They had an amazing hashrate the first month.  It's a little less amazing now.

Unat was one of the coins I reached out to about MM with Uno, but he blew me off.   I guess he felt he didn't need any help, or the Uno community offering a friendly hand.

And today UNAT's 24 hour volume at Bittrex is exactly (hang on, let me get this precisely right to last satoshi):  0.00000000 BTC

I love @shitcoinbuster.  He says all of the stuff I'm thinking, but am too diplomatic to say on @unobtanium_uno.  But he gets a lot of RT's from me anyway!

I don't have a serious take on UNB.  Thanks for asking, though.  I just was lol'ing at their pump.

They seem like nice enough guys over at UNB. They added UNO to their UnbreakableCoinsAuction.com site at a time when Uno really needed some good news. They're working hard to keep things rolling at UNB. I have respect for any honest coin dev whose trying to make a go of it. And I have a  well known soft spot for Sha256 coins.

Uno is homecoin, but I also sometimes wander around and try to see what's going on.

If you're wondering about UNB's pump, this is what caught my attention:


It looks like it's winding down. Look at that volume pattern. Whoever was pumping wasn't even trying to hide selling into their own buy orders. It got 'em up high on CMC with strong volume, and it looks like some of the price might even stick for a little while.  

With few notable exceptions, I don't wish ill will on any coin community. UNB is out there trying to make a go of it, just like Uno.  

Some coins are doing cool things and I like to learn what I can from them.

We have a great story in Uno: no-premine, low inflation, fair launch, great community... it all combines to make a compelling case for Uno.   I picked a winner for my home coin, but I try not taunt and tease other coins too much.  

But when I saw the start of the UNB pump, it gave me a laugh.  Good on them.  We don't need those those kind of pumps to get people interested in Uno, but they sure are fun.

I'm swamped at work. But wanted to pop in and say Hey!  Keep it up! This is the place to be crypto, and its nice to see all the new names here.

And we're on the cusp of the anniversary of the Wolong pump!  is that, Feb 7?   Do you think Wolong will make an appearance, just for ol' times sake?   Fyrstikken has been calling him out in his sad videos, so who knows. Lol.
