1881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and MLM Schemes on: July 03, 2022, 04:53:43 PM
Probably someone who just heard from someone about the similarities of an MLM scheme to gambling and agrees with the given twisted example.  We should always verify things we hear from someone especially if he is not the one who has the full knowledge about the topic.
Indeed. In addition, maybe people equate MLM schemes with gambling because after we deposit money into the MLM, we can feel insecure. After all, we don't know when we can get our money back with the profits. If this is the case, we must find out more information about MLM that we hear so we will not go the wrong way by joining the MLM. Thus we can also understand that MLM and gambling are different.
As said MLM and Gambling are entirely different. Just because loss is happening we cannot equate gambling and MLM. Even with the trusted MLM schemes we feel insecure, because the outcome isn't assured. With gambling the outcome is assured, and this depends on luck. The same on MLM happens through others participation.

In most of the MLM I heard, participants on the top order make good money whereas the low bottom pave way for the top earners. When the low bottom stop working as they don't benefit good, the MLM turns to be scam.

1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 03, 2022, 12:18:27 PM
Gambling habits doesn't really pass from the gene of parents to children, most children are easily influenced by the hobbies of their parents. Normally most male just have interest in gambling because of the money it brings .
These days gambling have turned to be a part of one's hobby. This is the reason we can see majority of common people who are little knowledged about technology are into gambling. Another important reason for the increased participation into gambling by the present generation is through the advertisement broadcast on the television. This doesn't have anything with the inheritance.

Rain have interrupted the game. At the moment Jonny Bairstow is at 91 runs in 113 balls. England is at 200/6 after 45.3 overs. This interruptions will surely help England, and in the same over Jonny Bairstow was given lbw wicket. Jonny Bairstow went for a review and umpire changed his decision from out to not out. When everyone are eagerly looking for the century of Bairstow, rain have interrupted.
1885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 03, 2022, 10:50:44 AM
I never think that this is a sensible practice. Real gamblers are never satisfied with such things. They want to experience the feeling of real money. Also, when they play with counterfeit money, they get more angry because they don't have the money when they win, and it hurts them more. I think this will do more harm than benefits.
They will definitely get angry when they win because they can't make use of the money, they start wishing they have been using their own money to gamble and not a fake money, which will encourage them to use their main money to gamble which after depositing money to the site, they might start losing but they won't stop, because they believe they will win because they were winning when using fake money. If you want to stop gambling is better you stop it completely if you can, but don't think fake money is an alternative.
Initially gamblers will experience difficulty using the platform. Slowly they'll get adopted to it. I say this upon the real experience. One of my friend used to play blackjack and loss big. At some time period he realised what he's doing isn't good for his financial management. For this reason he started to play on a platform with fake money and now whenever he wants to gamble, he uses a separate application. Now he holds more than $1 million in fake money.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am big fan of SHIBA on: July 03, 2022, 10:01:29 AM
Shiba and other meme coins have the potential to make $ 1 to $ 1000, the shiba community makes Shiba able to survive and even continue to improve in the market, maybe many think that meme koins is a koins who has no value because it is only a row of numbers on the network but I think As long as we still have the potential to benefit, we are worth choosing.

I don't think you're right about meme coin. No one knows if these coins will survive in the long-term market, because when a new hype is created in the market, it becomes a trend. As a result we have seen that projects like shiba inu have been able to take a huge marketcap.
It would be a good decision to get rid of the idea of quick huge profits, because where there is a greed for more quick profits, the amount of risk is also huge.

But lately they've been talking about the shiba inu coin which has a good value in 2022.
And they say that the meme coin is able to compete with dogecoin so that it gets the attention of traders and investors.
Shiba Inu had a good value and it made more crypto millionaires. Whenever something is into the market, the same is being compared with the one that is already available in the market. On such stance Shiba is compared with dogecoin.

Once after the growth happened with the Shiba coin the same is taken forward with continued development and more partnering to provide real-time usage. So, as an user mentioned Shiba can stay longer in the market as well as can get out of the market. This is out of our thoughts about the market.
1887  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 03, 2022, 09:15:07 AM
Stake is indeed of the biggest casinos with a lot of high rollers but the majority will still be small gamblers who will think that a 10$ fee is too much. Guess we need to wait and see how popular USDT becomes and hopefully they still condider adding alternative networks besides ERC20.
I think, the withdrawal transaction fee has dropped to $5, but it's still the highest, I just don't know if it will still be the same using either of the two currently supported networks (ETH/BSC) or if it will change before the process starts. I haven't tried it yet.  BEP20 is enough if we are just talking about a low fee.
Stake need to consider it, because when the price is high we had an withdrawal fee of around $3, at this bearish market even $5 is really big. I made a withdrawal when the price was around $30k and the fee looked fair. Compared to other time period, Stake is encountering more maintenance with certain cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal.
1888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy Acquires Additional 480 Bitcoins on: July 03, 2022, 08:55:10 AM
I see market whales collecting bitcoin, and accumulating them. Since bitcoin is in limited supply, I thing in future these institutions will launch their own altcoins hedged against bitcoin reserves. Just like how governments launch their products hedged against gold reserves
Maybe this can happen. Always there arises question in me, why these large scale companies aren't interested into mining and holding the rewards got through the same time. These companies have the required capital to spend on mining. With time we'll come to know how things gonna work with bitcoin. Only the hard believers are adding more volume of bitcoin to their reserve.
1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is not an inflation hedge in first place on: July 03, 2022, 06:07:38 AM
I don't know what Satohi Nakamoto was thinking back in 2008, but I assume that Bitcoin's scarcity and the total 21M limit was supposed to be a "inflation protection" mechanism. Unfortunately, this "inflation protection" mechanism makes the Bitcoin price really volatile.
I agree that the number one purpose of Bitcoin was to be censorship resistant and out of the control from the central banks, governments and corporations. BTC successfully serves this purpose, but the majority of the people don't care about this. They care about making more money and having more food in their fridges. I'm still a little bit skeptical about the Lightning Network and it's ability to solve the scaling problem.
I also don't agree that the underdeveloped countries use BTC as money. It seems like generalization to me. People in the underdeveloped countries can also use BTC as an investment.
The limited supply make it an inflation protection. This inflation protection isn't functioning in the way it has been developed, but it favours the big Whales. The big bag holders have got the ability to manipulate the market. This doesn't serve to act against inflation. When we talk of gold and other valuable metals. This kind of manipulation isn't possible and that's the reason why people find more secure with gold than bitcoin.
1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: July 01, 2022, 10:18:43 PM
Don't blame crypto when you lose while trading, when you start to enter the crypto world then you are ready to receive profit or loss but when you lose you blame crypto it is very unfair in my opinion, just like you trade when you go bankrupt then you will blame your merchandise that's a very stupid thing,
This is true, most of the time people loss out of their activities and. Point cryptocurrency as the reason for their loss. This needs to change. A proper learning about the market will let users to overcome such kind of confusions.
1891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 30, 2022, 10:05:04 PM
I just don’t mind the dip anymore as I am now committed to buy Bitcoin every month through the traditional old-school dollar-cost averaging (DCA) method. BTC is for long term and I have regretted not doing DCA with it before because of being complacent with various altcoins (especially the pump and dump ones).

Regardless of the price right now, I’ll just keep buying every month with my extra “not beer” money.

Since no one is a fortune teller and no one can predict the top and bottom of bitcoin, it's best to buy bitcoin on every dip and do the dollar cost average.
For those who have missed the previous bitcoin rally this might be another or a last chance to jump in, invest in bitcoins and wait for the next all time high which will surely be near the halving.
No one has got the ability to make precise price predictions on the drop and bounce of the market. With cryptocurrency every opportunity needs to be used. Once an opportunity missed will make the user wait for a much longer time period to experience similar market situation. When market is down it is good to do Dollar Cost Average. Investing now will assure profit in the long term.
1892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 28, 2022, 10:57:48 PM
Such an entertaining innings by Paul Stirling, but he got out when Ireland needed him to stay. Balbirnie is struggling out there and if the remaining Irish batsmen can't score runs quickly, then the match will rapidly drift out of their control. But still, during the initial powerplay, Ireland scored a massive 73 runs in 6 overs. Now they lost another wicket, as Gareth Delany got out trying for a single that was never there. Ireland need to convert their good starts to good finishes. Else they will remain at the second tier test system for infinite amount of time.

Edit: Balbirnie hits 50, after struggling a lot.

225 runs chase will never going to be easy for Ireland. They did play a few very good overs but to keep the pace for full 20 overs is difficult for a small team like Ireland. Now they need almost 12 runs per over for the next 9-10 overs which is quite an impossible task for the Ireland batsmen. Both the openers Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie are out and two new batsmen at the crease now make the task more difficult against the Indian bowlers.
The Ireland team didn't took it easy. From the beginning they maintained the required run rate. During the end overs George Dockrell and Mark Adair shattered the Indian team with their performance. The match almost into the hands of Ireland and it is some sort of luck that took India win the match and the series.
1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 27, 2022, 11:59:55 PM
It depends, because everything has got its limits. One can't be kept aside just because he is into gambling. According to me if I was in a position to give him an opportunity I'll help and observe him closely. If I find him doing something unwanted I'll give a warning. When it comes to financial position, to some extent we can tolerate.
1894  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 27, 2022, 11:26:30 PM

Definitely, they have lossback for higher Tier level accounts but no idea if they offer lossback for gold account losing $50k in single bet.
Probably, they will compensate losses with higher weekly based on wager/loss calculation and higher reloads for plat 4+ accounts.
I don't want lossback bonus if it costs me $15k. Highly doubt it is over $1000 for such a nightmare.
On what basis the loss back will be calculated. Recently the weekly/monthly bonus were also changed. Few weeks back Stake team mentioned about its update on the bonuses provided. One thing I found important, If you're having an unlucky week and incur losses, we'll be adding extra to your bonus.. Here it isn't mentioned about the levels. So, it looks like it is common for all levels of gamblers.
1895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 27, 2022, 10:58:47 PM

The wet outfield have caused the Bangladesh team loss it's entire wickets for 186 runs. With this score West Indies needs 13 runs to win. The match is won by West Indies with ten wickets left. This is like an innings win. As said it is time to analyse much about the team and make necessary changes. If not, this is gonna devalue the team. The true performance of any team can be seen on the test matches than T20 and ODI. Bangladesh needs to make themselves strong, if not the performance on ODI and T20 too will go down.
I am unable to understand why Bangladesh is always in trouble. They should be a strong team by now, like the other teams of South Asia - India, SriLankan and Pakistan.
But they are always under radar after the matches. I am not happy with Bangladesh team performance.
If I'm not wrong, there is internal politics within the team/board. When the board isn't free to do the tasks, surely there arises issues like this. Bangladesh was making good performance recently, but they're no more good considering those days. Another thing I dislike with few Bangladesh players is there behaviour in the matches when they take wicket. The acts should not hurt the batsman, but some players do it purposely.
1896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 27, 2022, 10:30:14 PM
Today there were some nice and especially exciting matches. Djokovic managed to qualify for the 2nd round, but it was not convincing at all. He even had to give up the 2nd set to his opponent, certainly not a top player. I don't believe Djokovic can win this tournament, his game was too sloppy today. Although his chances are of course bigger because Medvedev has been banned by the tournament organization. That still remains a tumult thing that exclude Russian athletes. They are welcome at some tournaments and not at others.
The player against whom Djokovic played is Kwon Soon-woo. South Korean Professional player who has been ranked 52 by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Djokovic losing a set isn't a big thing, because big players too slip at some points. However Kwon Soon-woo have played good, because in every set he have fought back losing the match 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-4. Medvedev out of the tournament is a good chance. Let's wait and watch whats gonna happen with the upcoming matches.
1897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 27, 2022, 10:10:36 PM
But sometimes the phase will be different if you start to cashout your money on gambling site. For sure this crash affect even if your old timer because you will possibly look at the value especially when you bought yours at expensive rate. But if you mean upon gaming surely gamblers will ignore that because what mostly gamblers aim is to enjoy and try to win their games.

That's a different story now since that person badly needs to cash out.

Price volatility has nothing to do with that as we are the one who needs to adjust.

For me, bitcoin being crashed or not won't impact those gamblers since I think that's even an advantage to them as they will have more Bitcoin in return if they will purchase it by cash. Since they are playing with Bitcoin currency on the gambling site, it means more bankroll to them that they can use in the long run.

When it comes to cashing out, if it was really necessary to do, whether the trend is uptrend or downtrend, these guys will convert their Bitcoin to whatever price.

Each gambler have different personal view towards it and no right or even wrong answer with this but actually if you are a whale you will surely feel the pain of bear market condition because the value of your balances decrease a lot and for sure gambling whales feel the bear market to. But also many think that this is paper loss only and they will not lose any dime if they not sell their stash.
Whales always spend in terms of bitcoin than in terms of USD. Whether the market is bullish or bearish doesn't count, if he spends 0.1BTC in gambling when the price is $40k same will be spend when the price is $20k. So, here if we calculate in terms of USD what he risked and what he earned/lost might vary. Most of the whale gamblers were hodlers, so this profits them long term.
1898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Phil Mickelson Opens Up About Losing MILLIONS From Gambling on: June 27, 2022, 09:51:56 PM
If this is someone who isn't that rich, then this loss could've affected his career and life. For a person like Phil Mickelson it is part of his career and if he had continued it. Sometimes he might've ended losing big. According to the Wikipedia data the 2015 salary is $51m. So, according to me what he have lost is an year's salary.
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 27, 2022, 09:27:42 PM
I don't think Bitcoin price dump can affect a gambler, they don't really care about bitcon price since they can get bitcoin and they can gamble with it they don't have problem with it, some people are kind of addicted to gambling in such a way they don't really feel comfortable if they haven't gamble, so that kind of person those not care about bitcoin price, they only thing they care about is how they will use the amount they are having to gamble even if it's small they don't care.
The whale gamblers won't be affected much, but the common gamblers like you and me spending few dollars were affected, because when we spend $20 on a single bet we're risking near to 0.001BTC in today's price. If the price is around $31k then what we're risking is near to 0.00065BTC. There is a difference and this is what we say the common gamblers were affected.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Length of Time Before You Learn All These Gambling Terms Or Jargons on: June 27, 2022, 07:35:29 AM
so I do not think it is something important for most players as they will prefer to spend their time learning the rules of whatever game they are interested at the time.
Gambling terms is not necessary for all punters, if you are playing a particular game and bet with it, you will know the terms used in those games, that is certain, the more you play it the more the terms would become just common words known to you. But on the other hand, if you are betting on a game that do not require those terms, then you will not know it. It is not what someone should just think about at all, highly not necessary.
As said, the terms involved in gambling isn't necessary. whatever the game played you'll get to know about the terms within two days time. When one gets into gambling it is all about the strategies and the tricks that need to be known/learnt to make yourself have the higher winning chance.
