1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first-ever ICO you’ve invested? on: July 12, 2020, 01:58:15 AM
My first ever ico investment was Encryptotel (ETT), it was a success but because I believe so much in the project, I keep on holding until its value decreases lower than the ico price. Instead of making a profit, I end up having less. This is a very unfortunate experience for me and because of that, I didn't invest again anymore.
1902  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Food Shortage and Economic Decline Caused by Pandemic on: July 09, 2020, 04:33:58 AM

What will be the solution for this?
How we can help our government on this current circumstances?
Does bitcoin or any digital currency could help?
-The problem on the shortage of food, finances and transportation can only be solved by the government. They should provide the basic needs for their citizen the same as other countries did.
-we can help the government as we follow their orders, by that, we can at least avoid getting infected and being a problem to the government.
-no, this is a pandemic, not anyone, not a thing or even crypto can help us in this kind of situation.
1903  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: July 09, 2020, 03:31:37 AM
The apps aren't actually money making apps but they are cash back rewards. You are required to spend money so that you'll get a reward. I don't categorize it as a money making machine if it requires you to spend money but it's actually a good feature that you get something back whenever you spend. I appreciate the share of the link and paybis never stops making this type of article.
Many like that. using the lure of can making money but actually must   spending money first. so I prefer to call it by saving. not make money. two different things
Yes the same goes here. Apps show is more on cashback and not a money making app, it is just used to received a little amount of percentage from the amount you spend. And as far as I know, it also has a minimum amount to spend to receive the minimum cashback and a maximum amount of cashback you can get in this kind of promotion.
1904  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Businesses in Manila accepting crypto as payment (hotels groceries, cars, houses on: July 06, 2020, 08:08:18 AM
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins unite! on: July 06, 2020, 03:25:04 AM
I realized today that even thought many Altcoins are total shitcoins, all of them have an ambitious dev team behind them that must understand the blockchain business to some extent. Therefore I call on to all the devs of impotent shitcoins to unite for a quest of more utility for their cryptos and stop being shitcoins! Upgrade your blockchains! Switch to a more exciting algorithm. Slice max supply. Add real utility like storage or bandwidth or both! You can do it! Contact me if you want to know more.
Nope, you can't certainly think that they will work altogether and get united. They are absolutely running their own business and those devs have their own (stupid) plans. Once their project/coins are shit, it is still shit at all no matter what they do as investors will never think about good for their project but purely a dead one.
We don't need to think and trust them to be good, they are ruining their reputation at once and that is too hard to gain trust back.
But rather to use another identity, maybe they can fool again... Cheesy
I agree, making them all work together seems impossible. They have their own team, different ideas/plans, and they are different businesses. And even if they work together, as long as their plan is just useless nothing will change, they will remain to create shitcoin or useless projects.
1906  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: July 06, 2020, 01:43:36 AM
Isa to sa rason kung bakit marami tayong mga low-quality posters at spammers(not talking about pinoys specifically).

Maybe magandang i front muna ang kaalaman kaysa kita, baka kasi mainterpret agad ng viewers na yung goal sa bitcointalk is to earn not to learn. But if earning would be secondary, I think this would be a better way to advertise bitcointalk community.

Or perhaps, pwedeng iadvertise ang bitcointalk to offer services gaya ng web development, virtual assistance at iba pang service to earn. Kasi yung point na directly signature campaign, it could attract spammers at maaaring makaapekto sa quality ng forum at topics.
True, meron pa kong nakitang video dati na pinopromote ang bitcointalk dahil sa mga campaign which is napakamasamang take for the forum, para kang naghahakot ng bata para gumawa ng bahay. Maraming pwedeng pagkakitaan dito especially sa para sa mga IT, they can offer their services here.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Alert] Scam attempt in the name of gambling house and moderator on: July 06, 2020, 01:00:19 AM
They can always find gullible users by sending those attractive offers and rewards.
Some will try for themselves for the hope that they will get good returns.
But unfortunately, it is a trap and they will get nothing in return.
Unsolicited emails and messages should automatically be put into trash.
The reason is because day by day users who are being desperate of getting instant money is increasing. They can be an easy target for scammers because scammers know that they are after an easy money. They just have to create a new way of attractive strategy then they can have now new victims. Even those who are being warned with this kind of scam can easily become a victim if they will be blinded by an easy money trick.
1908  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: COVID-19 Related Scams on: July 04, 2020, 10:13:34 AM
Sabi nga nila think it first before you click o kaya naman hagilapin kong ito ba ay legit o hindi.

1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Poker Tournaments" are reopening little by little. on: July 04, 2020, 09:26:11 AM
So this means that physical casino wants to open and generate revenue so that they can give taxes to the government. How can government ask for the taxes when they themselves asked the casino business to be shutdown in the pandemic. The government should generate taxes from some other sources and do not ask those business to give taxes which are currently closed.
No, you are missing the point. Don't focus on taxes alone, there are so many reasons why they will reopen. Physical Casino is also a business, they have many employees to provide salary and continue paying other expenses even in lockdown. They have no other choice but to open because if they don't, it will turn into bankruptcy.
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend passed away and he have Bitcoin in his wallet on: July 04, 2020, 01:49:48 AM
2 choices.

1. Either go to their house directly and you will be the one to get the Bitcoin that your friend had and give it to his family or convert it into fiat then give it into his family that would be better since they aren't that techy like you said.
2. Contact a very trusted friend of yours which is involved in crypto and let him do the job.

If you are just close to their house then this would've be easier but you are in another country so it would be hard unless you will sacrifice some time and money to do this. For sure your friend will appreciate it if you will be the one who will do it. RIP though.
The first one you mentioned is the best option, his friend will appreciate the effort and will really be happy for helping him to help his friend's family. It is better than contacting a friend, even if he know it or trust it so much, if he is not around, who know what his friend will do since this is about money.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some college students in Alabama bet money to see who gets COVID19 first on: July 03, 2020, 03:44:03 PM
The problem, is that probability for them to die from virus is very low (young people), but they have relatives and most american (as an european) zoomers living with them in one house. This is real shit.

Well, we will never know. The possibility is still there even if it is low. And as you said, they are with their relatives. Because of this non-sense bet, the virus will spread faster than they have imagined. They should realize that this is not the time to make a bet like that.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICO vs Bad ICO on: July 02, 2020, 10:56:19 AM
The reputation of the manager can't be a good factor to determine how trusted the project. Sometimes the good bounty managers can also get a crap project or even scam project. It's better for the newbies to keep focusing into the reputation of project.
You are right, even we can see a lot of big managers like Artezy and wapinter also holding too many project scams. A manager is an ordinary person who makes money like a bounty hunter. who pays them will be done. no matter they will scam or not.
But there are still bounty managers who like to protect their good reputation so they won't take scam projects that might only ruin them. Yes they are just ordinary people like bounty hunters but they can be a good source of courage for bounty hunters to keep going and continue making profits.
Yes and there's only few of bounty managers who really think of their reputation. A bounty manager that will investigate the project and decline it once they locate any suspicions even if they know that they can earn. Most of them thinks that as long as they earn, they will handle every project even if it is not legit.
1915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Fraud on: July 02, 2020, 07:11:59 AM
You should at least be more specific with your incident, better to give enough information about what you have encountered. But if you are asking where you can report it, you can ask assistance or help to the authorities so try can have thorough investigation with your case.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short suggestion and situation on: June 30, 2020, 01:31:43 PM
Hmmm... I was expecting to see the very exciting thing you are to do at home that will benefit everyone. Well, this lockdown has actually thought me there's nothing good as working from home.
Not everyone can do the work to the maximum at home, especially for those whose equipment is very limited, it's clear that there isn't much that can be done by that person, and I personally also cannot do work that can benefit many people at home.
That's true. Working at home is not for everyone, there are most people that are not able to provide even the minimum equipment to start working at home. But mate, it's not the end for that, there are countless possibilities and opportunities that may come. If you cannot personally do work at home, there will be a right time.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects and their unreal excuses on: June 30, 2020, 11:42:09 AM
It's 90% untrue story when new projects failed to launch their project because of COV19 pandemic because every thing about crypto is digital, you can continue development digitally even if the team are in their separate homes, I can still cut some slacks with projects from Italy and France, they are the hot zones of Cov-19 pandemic but what about others??? We have Zoom app thats very good for team to come together and make a plan because of social distancing,. What am I missing guys Huh Am I right or wrong?
You are right and wrong as well.
You are right because it is indeed that they can continue their development even if they are far from each other, however, there are some cases that even without a travel history this year still having this covid-19. We don't know their situation right now, so, you just have to understand them since they are human as well. Maybe this is their excuse, but I think it is justifiable because the whole world is really affected.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters United we stand on: June 30, 2020, 11:03:36 AM
This is right, however, there is no one who can demand the project team to do what bounty hunters want. Even bounty manager are just following the instructions/orders from the team because they are the one who gives us the payment. They are free to choose token for the payment of bounty participants even if we don't want to, they are also the one who make rules, not us.
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum (ETH) Price on Course to $300 on: June 25, 2020, 02:07:39 PM
An article on cointelegraph  hurts that eth will rise to $300, how do you think?

It is possible, ethereum is really a great altcoin. It has a bright future and we even see its recovery after its price drop below $110, it recovers right after the dump. Seeing ethereum to reach $300 or even higher than that is not surprising, that is what many users here expected.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: June 25, 2020, 01:46:30 PM
This is my first time seeing crypto ratings, and just like @ryzaadit said, if this is the same as ico rating that was biased because they are being paid to advertise even fraud, this is something that we should never trust.

Just like OP posted, there are two crypto rating that has different rating result. It only means that one of it was being paid to spread fake or false information because they are being paid.
