1921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 30, 2015, 11:28:52 AM
Wallet has syncing issues. Tried to full resync but it is not syncing according to block explorer. All coins sent/non-received should be fine. We just need to get wallet to right fork. Dev, please get in touch.
To not waste any money (in case something went wrong), I sent a test transaction of 3000 coins to make sure things work out. Guys, this is important - always (!!) do a test transaction before sending what you intend to send. Even though things will probably get fixed with XMS, you're not blocked from trading (because of stuck coins) when sending only test amounts.

@c-cex:
Thanks for your reply. This is a bit of a relief. But anyway, this has kind of destroyed the launch on Bittrex, as users became a bit anxious.
But I guess those are exactly the issues we have to deal with, from time to time, in this still quite new territory.

Now, let's hope that things progress well and we can quickly switch to the correct chain, so trading can continue! Smiley
1922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 30, 2015, 09:39:54 AM
Please do not send coins.

We are in the process of adding a checkpointing server. Everything will be fine.

already done 2 hours ago :/

Do not worry! Once c-cex updates to the correct chain (the one your wallet is on) your coins will appear instantly.
Are you in contact with them? Smiley

Some guys from the chat were trying to reach out to the support, but sadly in vain. Currently, we're guessing if they're still sleeping.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 30, 2015, 07:58:43 AM
Once c-cex admin is available this can all be resolved.

Its not his fault. We will fix this. Wallet might have too many connections. Might have bad nodes. There are multiple possibilities.

if you don't have a checkpointing server running then its your fault for not having one.
in a proof of stake coin you must have a checkpointing server or it will fork.
But transactions from other exchanges were working smoothly, so my thought was that maybe c-cex.com needs to just resync their wallet. Is that not a possible cause?

Great news, congratulations! Smiley
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 29, 2015, 05:42:02 PM
im never home.. cant trade on work computer.. so its the easiest option. I trade a bunch on my phone. phones are like mini computers anymore
Also, one could implement the option to only stake when power supply is connected and the phone is charging, which would essentially solve the problem.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 29, 2015, 05:03:58 PM
I would really like to see a mobile wallet with staking features... if you had a mobile wallet that could stake coins.. instant moon I think..
Nice idea. Though I'm still waiting for one altcoin to release a mobile Android wallet based on the Mycelium wallet. All altcoins which have mobile wallets do have a Schildbach based wallet. Not that it's bad or something, but it feels a bit bloated, doesn't really look nice and the Mycelium wallet is great in so many regards. Smiley
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 29, 2015, 04:26:19 PM
Hey everyone. What are some things you would like to see added to the wallet?

We have some features planned already but ultimately you guys are the ones using the wallet most.

We have access to a lot of good code some is even unique/property of coders i know.  One of our main goals is to accumulate quality technology within the wallet over time.

A few suggestions, though I have absolutely no idea if they're realistic/feasible to code:
  • charts which show how this coin performs on certain exchanges
  • maybe a connection to the exchanges via their APIs, to enable trading by using the wallet?
  • see #5 of your roadmap: wouldn't it be nice to have some kind of voting feature added to the wallet where things like upcoming features can be supposed and voted for/against?

As I said, I really don't know if that makes sense. But as we were asked about ideas, that's what crossed my mind.
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! ROADMAP!! New wallet!! 33GH!! on: April 29, 2015, 07:16:35 AM
Does anybody know at which block we are currently?

@MegaStake: we definitely need a block explorer, soon. ;-)

Oh, just read it. Thanks!
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinT [BT] | X11 | TAKEOVER THREAD on: April 28, 2015, 07:21:52 PM
Hey guys Smiley

I have watched the whole mess of BitcoinT and the chaos it left behind. Now I saw this thread, and I have a couple of questions to the community - I hope we can have a decent conversation, here.
What I really don't understand is the "why". Why did you consider to do a takeover?

Just to be clear: in my opinion, it's great that the opportunity exists for community takeovers. This way, promising projects can be (or tried to be) saved when the developer, as in this case, bails.
But this coin was still very young. A bigger community could not yet develop around the coin, and - to be honest - when I read the announcement thread, the first question that came into my mind was "what's this coin good for?". It had those "lottery style POS blocks", which other coins have, too. Other than that, I could not find anything innovative, any great functionality, extension of the blockchain or anything that looks in any way promising.

So, I wonder why the efforts were taken to save a project that has so little innovation to offer. I don't want to sound ignorant, but I'll ask my question anyway: is this an effort for holders to get a last chance to exit without kissing the whole spent money goodbye? Or is there more to it?

Would be nice if anyone can join the conversation. Maybe I have just overseen aspects which make it really worth continuing - any enlightenments in this direction would be highly appreciated.
Please don't misunderstand this post as fud or anything negative. I'm trying to stay objective and neutral while trying to understand the reasoning behind this.

Anyway, best wishes and good luck for the community takeover, whatever the reasons are. Smiley
Basically , alot of people lost coins and got a dev to make one so they could dump their coins to stupid people. you're thinking to much Wink
LOL, this answer really made me laugh. Why? Because you're absolutely not the first one to tell me "you're thinking to much". So there must be something about it. Cheesy
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MEGASTAKE! X11! 75gh on network!! New wallet!! on: April 28, 2015, 05:20:10 PM
Just posted our first article on XMS, can be found here.

Looking forward to more information about the PiStaker!
I think the article could use some revising. Too many typos which e.g. suggest a weird coin supply.

Just my two cents. Smiley

I heard Philipvdlinde a.k.a. Prometheus is almost done with accumulation. Wonder where this baby will go before wednesday.

80k? 100k? The sky is the limit. I believe that guy made around 300~400 BTC on that CANN pump and final dump, so don't get fooled!
This guy is probably just trolling.
Obviously. Seems to be a full time troll. The bs reaches a critical level whereever he appears, be it threads on this forum or trollboxes on exchanges.

If there is anyone in the community well versed in the 3d printing business. Please PM.
I have a friend working at a company which has 3D printers. What are you planning? Printing RasPi cases? Smiley

Btw, I like it that you use http://bitbucket.org/ - it is way undervalued. Great code hosting platform (we're using this as our main Git hoster at our company), with better conditions than http://github.com/ imho.

this coin was made by serious scammer equalpumps from twitter.

dump or u will loose.
Is there anything to substantiate that? Any links, Twitter, Bitcointalk etc to read up on this?

As far as I know "No." I have been around Ruby since the beginning and Ruby Dev seems to be a solid guy very interested in furthering this coin. There have been many occasions where he could have potentially ripped people off but doesn't. All of my dealings with him have been very fair.

kingscrown comes in here every week or two spewing his FUD. So....just gotta learn to ignore the ignorant.
This sounds good. I thought I'd ask for verification before believing random stuff. Thanks for clarification! Smiley
1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRON] Positron - NEW Phase for Positron PR -- Mass Media Tuesday on: April 27, 2015, 09:20:16 PM
Here are Raspberry Pi wallets for v1.0.0.0 - both the Qt and the headless daemon.

Important:
1) The wallet was built on a Raspberry Pi2 (ARM7) running Raspbian. It might work on an older Pi but I have not tested it
2) Installation directory for binaries is ~/opt/Positron
3) All that is needed is to execute the command below on your Pi in a terminal window and afterwards you click on the Positron icon on the desktop
4) An Internet connection is required for the installation
5) A bootstrap.dat is used to fast track the blockchain sync - up to block 16092
6) You need at least an 8GB memory card
7) The installation itself takes about 30-45min and the loading of the blockchain (once-off) another 30min
8.)You cannot just download the binaries, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run
9) The installation script does not enable the UFW firewall by default. If you want to enable it, uncomment the UFW lines in the script and add the port you want open and run it again or enable it manually by running the UFW commands as in the script with the correct port numbers.

Let me know about any issues that you may encounter.

To kickstart the installation execute the following command at the command prompt or in a terminal window on your Pi:
Code:
wget https://bitbucket.org/jc12345/positron/downloads/positron_installation_pi.sh && chmod +x positron_installation_pi.sh && ./positron_installation_pi.sh

Link to bootstrap.dat up to block 16092

Wow, pure leetness!!! (I never use multiple exclamation marks at once, so you can imagine how impressed I am Wink )

I have just bought a RaspberryPi 2, and this is reason enough for me to actually install the wallet. Thanks for your great efforts!

Tongue  lol... A man afraid of Team viewer is trying to become a coin developer Grin

Even once Josh gave his team viewer to me , and trained me.. this doesn't mean that i will steal his data .. if you want to become a developer you have to trust him ....because he is the only one in this forum giving these services at this cheaper price....and if you want to really learn from him , you will not waste your time posting this shit here .. you can find a alternative source like hiring a VPS and installing team viewer in that ,which doesn't have any confidential data of yours Wink

He even taught me some basics about creating coins. He is a great guy. And no one can destroy the PC from teamviewer  Tongue
Ehm… are you serious on that?
In a teamviewer session, I can easily open a terminal and delete whatever I want to.

I don't want to enter the discussion or bring any user here into miscredit (I don't even know what it's concretely about). I just wanted to point out that the above quoted statement is dangerous.
Just imagine all those inexperienced computer users who might read that and take it for serious. That's highly negligent.

.edit:
Just recognized that the post I replied to was exactly one year old. Sorry for bringing that up, again. But what I said still applies Smiley

What makes you think that they're the same person? Because my experience clearly shows something else. Philip is Dutch, whereas Prometheus seems to be Canadian.

Also, the former one had a stash of, iirc, 100.000 CANN. Clearly not enough for such a win.
