1921  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a society question about prison time on: November 17, 2019, 07:14:27 AM
I'd rather if the prison system was disbanded in the most part. I'm a supporter of radical steps.

You commit a petty crime, you get forced to make it back to the victim. Don't have money to pay back - pay with whatever you have like your time.
Example: a thief gets caught stealing from a store you make him pay a fine or clean the floors.
2 guys fight in a bar over a girl - nobody goes to jail, they pay for the damages and eventual hospital bills.
Somebody rapes your daughter - he gets caught, convicted, you have the right to beat the shit out of him, his face is in the news and he gets branded for life as a rapist.
I'd only put murderers behind bars and mass murderers, especially those animals who rape and murder children should be executed in public.

We had similar way of punishing criminals worldwide. Then came the humanist, these worthless people would shout out everytime the rapist and murderer are treated like they need to. According to them criminals should be rewarded for their deeds with free food and shelter without doing anything which are funded by the tax from the sufferer and normal law abiding people works hard to earn their own living.
1922  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Depression and exercise on: November 17, 2019, 07:10:27 AM
I have a mild depression most probably due to my genetics and when I have those panic attacks, nothing helps much. Walking straight and taking long breathe helps so does a mild jogging with music but my body feels very weak for any sort of exercise.
Exercise is a good thing to keep you fit and occupied if you could make it a daily habit. But I don't it would make a large difference when it comes to depression.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Payment Options added for Coinbase Card Users on: November 17, 2019, 06:25:48 AM
It's a great news for altcoin users. That would give the flexibility and save users from manually exchange their coins.
The more desirable change would have been the lowering of fees as users are made to pay much larger than normal bank cards.
1924  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have You Paid Tax On Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 03:03:52 AM
Not directly but there are taxes added up when you buy products and services. You could be paying taxes to the government while cashing out through banks.
The great thing about bitcoin and other crypto is you don't have to pay taxes for holding them or even while earning interest in various ways.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you any new ideas to replace the KYC? on: November 16, 2019, 09:28:05 AM
There are several bounties that asks for KYCs and several not. If you are not easy with sharing your personal identity to unknown people, don't join such bounty.
We can't just blame the bounty manager or the project for KYC as they need to cope with everything from bounty cheaters to regulations from the government. They need to have an answer when asked about.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Red trust account users can still introduce good bounties on: November 16, 2019, 03:56:42 AM
Bounty managers works with several projects and most of the time they don't even know the project is a real one or a complete fake. There are a group of scammers that creates fake team and project to get some gullible investors to invest in the project. It's really difficult to know whether the bounty manager was aware of it or not and that often lead to gaining a negative trust for the bounty manager. It doesn't mean a bounty manager would always take a legit project or a scam ones. That's why it's better to decide for individual projects rather than following a bounty manager.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is True Decentralization a Myth? on: November 16, 2019, 01:59:34 AM
Just like a true democracy, we would never have a true decentralization. Arguably the most decentralized coin bitcoin is controlled by miners and developers while the largest amount are hold by early adopters and whale investors. The price is mostly determined by the manipulation rather than the market. For any other coins, thing are much worse.
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins on: November 16, 2019, 01:31:21 AM
The altcoin markets has been favorable to few but not all. it is presumed that the early and private investors rake out big cash on New and old altcoin projects leaving many projects at the mercy of the cryptomarkets for survived.  Although Most altcoins that has gone down below ROI to the verge of disappearing from the market are increasing daily.
One of the ideology we all know about the cryptocurrency is the knowledge of Holding back some altcoins we believed that will do well in the long run. it is an interesting thing to NOTE that these TWO Altcoins made me have a strong feeling that cryptocurrency can be a fortune if you are lucky to invest on it

BLOCKV
 https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/blockv/

and
THORECOIN
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/thorecoin/

A closer look on these two altcoins will make you have a rethink about holding some altcoins, what to hold and Not to sell off everything if you have to sell. Both token raised from zero usd to a high price. even contesting with the top 100 coins on CMC. i am sure there are other altcoins that made this moves in the market but it's quite unfortunate that few people are holding such while some has sold off.

So, before you make that decision of selling off everything that you have in wallet because the market is down and out. please reconsider before you regret your moves. you might be holding a token that worth millions in the next 2 years.

Altcoin now is a vast category to generalize as one. Many of the altcoins have performed better than bitcoin.
Investors should study the coins they are intending to invest on and diversify between different nature of coins and priorities the high cap coins if you are looking for safer investment.
1929  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think Gavin Andresen will make a comeback? on: November 16, 2019, 12:54:36 AM
Gavin Andresen was known to be one of the most "iconic" Bitcoin developers in the pioneer cryptocurrency's early days. After he talked about Craig Wright being Satoshi, he disappeared. Some time ago (around 1 or 2 years ago), he worked on something related to Bitcoin Cash (which you can see on his Github page). But after that, there hasn't been any activity related to Mr. Andresen whatsoever.

Do you think by any chance he'll make a comeback into the world of crypto? He could be real useful for making either Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash stronger than ever before. I know that we already have many talented developers working on both projects, but Gavin is skillful and knowledgeable about Blockchain since he's been a pioneer in the industry.

What do you think? ??

Gavin Andresen failed to maintain his spotlight career on crypto development. He's still active crypto person but he is not involved in any major crypto development.
His was advocating for betterment of bitcoin network. His right to commit was revoked for claiming Craig Wright the real satoshi nakamoto and supported bitcoincash.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALERT: Phishing Brave browser [Please Read] on: November 15, 2019, 03:22:32 PM
And he probably got the emails from some stupid bounty campaign that let the user email public on spreadsheet or had those from a fake airdrop of x coins where you need to fill your email to get an airdrop. Users need to be sure about download anything be it a software or an extension and use a virtual machine if you really need to try something out.
1931  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Overpopulation of a developing country is one of its major problem on: November 15, 2019, 03:17:04 PM
Population largely seems to be related to status of women in that society. Though there are exceptions everywhere, generally the empowered women tend to give birth to less number of children as she needs to look after her job/business and could give less time to child. Likewise a country where women are backwards or are greatly dominated by male, tend to have larger number of children.
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Margin Trading Crypto Exchange on: November 15, 2019, 03:12:56 PM
When it comes to crypto margin trading, Bitmex comes at the top spot. They are the largest and one of the oldest margin trading provider in crypto industry.
Now the competiton is going to increase with Binance and Huobi entering into the margin trading market. Both of them are offering attractive options for traders but not of them has upto x100 leverage as offered by bitmex.
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto ? Suspects, frauds and conspiracies on bitcointalk on: November 15, 2019, 03:02:33 PM
Satoshi was highly dedicated to keep his identity anonymous. He planned the exit from bitcoin even before he started working on it. He maintained anonymity with (almost) everyone he interacted to. He has a flawless American English and (intentionally) uses British spellings and phrases occasionally. This makes the theory of Satoshi being a famous person or a famous organization more valid than any other.
1934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One solid reason that I came across for the need of BitCoins. <Be Your own Bank> on: November 15, 2019, 07:27:30 AM
The recent development in finance around the world has shown how insecure our money are in the banks. We let banks hold our money while they make us feel they are doing us a favor. We can't use our money anytime and anyway we use. Crypto enables us to store our money securely with we keeping a full control over them. The money not being physical is unaffected by local crisis be it natural, criminal or political nature.
1935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Hong Kong protesters use Btc for anything? on: November 15, 2019, 07:01:24 AM
They seem quite a tech literate bunch, so I thought they might?

Everyone tech savvy people uses bitcoin and Hong Kong is a crypto friendly nation. So, they are much more familiar to crypto and their use.
But the situation of transferring money and goods in Hong Kong is not as bad as Mainland China. Mainland Chinese are using more bitcoin than Hong Kong people. And with the blockade, normal Hong Kong might need to use Bitcoin more than the protesters.
1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid falling into a FOMO trap on: November 14, 2019, 12:57:15 PM
Don't watch the price movement too often. Let the price come to your rather than chasing the price. Set your buying and selling price for a coin and don't sell if you are in loss. If you are trading the top tier crypto, you need not worry about the price in long term. Just don't make a decision in panic and let your plan execute.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of Cryptocurrency is used in the Deep Web for transactions? on: November 14, 2019, 09:33:40 AM
I know that the deep web mainly uses cryptos as a means of transactions for people who want to buy things over there, but what type of cryptos are mainly used when making those transactions? It’s just a curious question I have in my mind.

One of the recent study put bitcoin on the top spot. Deepweb is already a heaven for anonymity and bitcoin just adds up to that. Bitcoin is readily accepted in almost all of the sites accepting payments.
Monero comes in the second, the most used privacy focused coin. Monero is specially popular with illegal drug traders.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you Believe Volume of the Coinmarketcap? on: November 14, 2019, 05:51:45 AM
Do you Believe Exchange Volume of the Coinmarketcap?
Also Do you believe exchange volume?
I think all the exchanges are fake!!!

The difference is actually how the volume are being calculated and what is reported by the reference site?
Specially the exchange has been involved as well they support third parties to trade within their platform that works just to increase the volume of trading.
Sometimes even the coin project are involved in creating such trade volumes.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just dumped my IOTAs on: November 13, 2019, 09:52:56 PM
IOTA is one of the most hyped coin of it's time and one of the least performing. Though they are still in top 20 on coinmarketcap, the price at the moment is one of the lowest, even lower than the late 2018 depression. They haven't stopped going to blockchain conference and announcing partnership but we are yet to see any solid development in it's Internet of Things implementations.
1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 13, 2019, 02:50:20 PM
Everyone talks about blogging, commerce, using referral systems, bounty, campaign signatures, straming, selling courses, offering their services in gaming, camwhore. But there are other not so known ways to generate cryptos?

With the word generating, mining comes first in my mind as mining is the only real way to generate crypto.
If you are looking to earn some crypto, you can do that by doing anything that may yield you money in real life just replacing the payment with crypto instead of fiat.
The things you listed are online money making jobs, to add to them, you can do freelancing (design, programming or even making music) and also microjobs like data entry, data sorting and similar tasks for crypto.
