There are programs that allow you to overlay stuff to your live webcam feed, would be kinda pain to manually write down a Bitcoin address though...

The bank would be a computer that holds the wallet of the customer, it would fire the transaction as soon as requested, it would take the usual time for BTC online transfers but if the wallet holder is reliable, the busyness places would believe when the bank says the customer has funds and the transaction is gonna take place.

This is borderline psychological experiment.
1944  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for Bitcoin Animated Movie [13622.05 BTC ($2520) and growing] on: February 23, 2011, 10:30:15 AM
Perhaps this should become a comunity project, with lots of people contributing to the scripts, providing pieces of art under acceptable licenses etc?

Or the very least the script(s) itself would be on the wiki for people to contribute, correct etc.

Hm, perhaps someone out there already got the whole thing done but is betting on no one else doing it and waiting till BTC value goes up enough.... ¬.¬

Is this even legal in China? 0.0
1946  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Getting the foundations of bitcoin looked at by Bruce Schneier on: February 23, 2011, 08:15:34 AM
Paying for a security audit could be seen as trying to buy a positive review...

That's ridiculous. You have to pay for the audit whatever the outcome is. There is no incentive on part of the auditor to fudge the result. On the contrary, his professional reputation is on the line.

An external observer might consider a paid review biased if the reviewer says things that benefit who is paying, specially if they don't understand the details of what is involved.

IMO, the world is run, mostly, by meme based organisms, many which are harmfull to their human hosts.

It would be nice if you stored the responses and then later plotted a graph showing expectations and what really happened
1950  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Windows] WalletBuddy - secure wallet(s) storage and backup on: February 22, 2011, 10:44:31 PM
I would be worried about using the binary, if i study the code and get convinced it's not gonna harm me, then copile it myself i would be more confortable using the program.
1951  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Live solely off of bitcoins on: February 22, 2011, 10:30:36 PM
Perhaps people intending on attempting this trip idea, should first start practicing convincing random sellers and service providers on your neighbourhood to accept BTC as payment, and once you are confident you can convince just about anyone then you start your trip.
1952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should we ban something on the Bitcoin marketplace? on: February 22, 2011, 09:20:43 PM
I would have voted on "don't ban anything that won't result in significant risk of having to put down the forum."
1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A "real" Bitcoin on: February 22, 2011, 09:16:15 PM
What if the physical thing was a token kinda like those PRNG some banks give their clients to perform webbanking operations, but instead of running a PRNG it got a wallet file and a wallet managing software, using NFC or some contact based or wireless protocol to interface with devices that can share their internet connection for changing the contents of the token?
1954  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What options do i have regarding buying BTC from Brazil? on: February 22, 2011, 08:31:53 PM
Some time ago i once tried creating an account on Paypal, they said they would pay me back the account creation fee after creating the account, but the wording was deceptive, and  i couldn't use the account anyway afterward for some reason i don't remember :\
1955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How do i say Bitcoin in Lojban? on: February 22, 2011, 08:25:41 PM
Does anyone here speak Lojban? How is "Bitcoin" translated in Lojban?
1956  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What options do i have regarding buying BTC from Brazil? on: February 22, 2011, 07:25:50 PM

1957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can i buy BTC using an internationl credit card? on: February 22, 2011, 03:49:14 PM
Don't WU got a big fee for international transfers?
1958  Economy / Marketplace / What options do i have regarding buying BTC from Brazil? on: February 22, 2011, 03:47:50 PM
I live on Brazil, i do have access to an international credit card (not mine, but of  someone i know), i have a savings account on bank Itau but i got someone that has a full account there too.

What are the ways i can buy BTC and what is involved in each case?
1959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Can i buy BTC using an internationl credit card? on: February 22, 2011, 03:33:41 PM
Using an international credit card (one that is issued in a country but is accepted in lots of countries), is there somewhere i can buy BTC?

edit: i mean without a middleman, no Paypal etc, i pay with the CC and the person or entity sends me the equivalent in BTC to the address i provide.

Is there really no way to read the invisible ink without leaving obvious signs the ink has been seen already?
