1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I need some advice on setting up a crypto casino on: July 03, 2019, 10:52:44 PM
Secure, good customer support, competitive house edge, no KYC (register/run your business from a different jurisdiction if that's an issue), provably fair. If you'd like to convince others to invest in your bankroll to take the risk of variance on themselves in exchange for a cut in the profits, it'd be a good idea to partner with someone trustworthy to act as an auditor, the way bustabit/bustadice do it.
1962  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is a fake bit coin bull run don't fall for it on: July 03, 2019, 10:36:14 PM
How can an increase from 3.4k type of levels to as much as 13.6 thousand dollars (now over 11 thousand dollars again) can be a fake bitcoin bull run? I mean how high do you really need it to go up to make it a real bull run?

If the recent increase in price has been fueled by bitfinex printing tethers, as some suspect, I wouldn't call the growth 'organic'.
1963  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin.net Scam on: July 03, 2019, 10:17:48 PM
There is also an option of staying away from shitcoins but that means saying no to easy money to be made from listing announcements and listing fees.
1964  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin.net Scam on: July 03, 2019, 06:42:01 PM
"Negative effects"?

Your Personal Text says "LiveCoin - is a modern stock exchange".

You guys aren't acting like professionals but like roadside parsley sellers.
1965  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Tether Supply a driver of Bitcoin Prices on: July 03, 2019, 06:20:47 PM
With how shady bitfinex has been since its inception, there are legitimate reasons for being distrustful of anything they touch/create - especially Tether.

I definitely wouldn't bet my arm on bitfinex not pulling any shenanigans here.
1966  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nexo - "Earn 8% dividend a year with no risks" on: July 02, 2019, 11:15:25 PM
6.5% per year is way too low for the risks involved in letting someone store your coins and the likelihood of a hack, inside job or an exit-scam.

Do you have a bank account at least? 6% can be considered as a decent rate, considering banks offer ~1%

Yep. I'm not sure where you're from that banks pay 6.5% interest, but that really takes me back to '08. Can't be real.

There are tonnes of countries that will pay 5-10%, some will pay 15% or more:

https://www.reinisfischer.com/highest-deposit-rates-world-country-2018
https://www.financialadvisory.com/world-deposit-rates.html

There are several caveats, however, namely:

1. they accept deposits in exotic currencies whose inflation rates might be high;
2. which is not a problem if they pay well above the inflation rates;
3. but it might be a problem if the country is corrupt, unstable, sanctioned or in the midst of a civil war;
4. there might be capital controls
5. some of them may even pay well for USD deposits, but points 3. and 4. still apply;

IOW, caveat emptor

1967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Livecoin.net Scam on: July 02, 2019, 10:51:52 PM
Why aren't they responding? Livecoin has been online on bitcointalk and he has probably seen his this thread as it was linked to in his own topic.

I'm supporting the flag (for now).
1968  Local / Alternatywne kryptowaluty / Re: gdzie rozdają kryptowaluty za darmo? on: July 02, 2019, 08:56:59 AM

1969  Local / Alternatywne kryptowaluty / Re: gdzie rozdają kryptowaluty za darmo? on: July 01, 2019, 01:57:58 PM

Bluestacks. Dodatkowo działają one też na maszynach wirtualnych np. VMware Player, który też jest darmowy. Po co ryzykować jakiegoś syfa? Najlepiej też mieć jedną maszynę wirtualną na każdą podejrzaną kryptowalutę, żeby scamcoin shitcoinów nie wykradł  Smiley
1970  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 30, 2019, 04:58:11 AM
Suggestion: Automatically delete flags which don't have any Support. For example: 37, 38, 85, 251.

Some flags can be created as a result of mistake or a test, therefore it should be possible to remove them from users' profiles.

I think it's like that by design:

I am wondering will users be able to remove a scammer flag early in the spirit of forgiveness. Do users in your trust network automatically support flags or do they need to take action?
The original accuser can withdraw their support, but they can't delete the flag. So other users could take it up even if they withdraw.

I can envision a scenario where the accuser is bribed, threatened or extorted to remove their feedback/flag before someone supports it. Or users supporting a flag may face pressure or fiduciary encouragements to withdraw their support of a flag. If original flag posters can only withdraw their support for a flag on a scammer's profile, but without being able to remove the flag themselves, there's still always a trace left on the scammers profile to keep eyes open/lurk moar about the person one would be dealing with.
1971  Other / Meta / Re: theymosisms on Trust Flags on: June 30, 2019, 04:56:02 AM
Perhaps by a signed bitcoin message and another member that will vouch for the member.

It could lull people into a false sense of security. Some accounts sellers are already selling accounts with connected email accounts, and with private keys associated with addresses posted on the forum.
1972  Other / Meta / Re: theymosisms on Trust Flags on: June 30, 2019, 04:39:00 AM
Anyone who's been here long enough to not have the newbie flags shown to them (7 days of log in time), is knowledgeable enough to visit a given user's Trust page before doing business with them.

- or - alternatively an icon for verified accounts.

What do you mean by 'verified'? KYC? Smiley
1973  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How long realistically before global mandatory kyc on all exchange/VASP? on: June 29, 2019, 04:51:23 PM
The big question then becomes, how will highly compliant and tightly regulated exchanges (like Gemini) deal with noncompliant exchanges? Will they close your account for depositing coins from them? Gemini already prohibits mixing services, for example.

Reading FATF recommendations, if I'm not wrong, it looks like you'll only be able to withdraw your coins to whitelisted exchanges/services (those who would closely participate in exchanging information). Same goes for depositing, if the coins don't come from an approved source you won't be able to use that exchange.

Even shitcoin exchanges like bittrex are now asking for proof of funds & relevant documentation:

1974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats fair price for Legendary Account? on: June 29, 2019, 04:32:13 PM
Wow, it's crazy cheap. I thought that after release of Merit system account prices increased a lot and Hero/legendary account costs at least $1000. Now it become much more difficult for account sellers to farm accounts. Maybe it's even impossible for farmer to build Legendary account from zero. And it's another question how many of account sellers really hold these accounts, because I suppose many of them are just trying to scam buyers.

I have no idea what is the market for used forum accounts, but if you think the prices are low it may be because of the risk that the account will receive negative Trust feedback and/or flags. It may also be recovered by the previous owner saying they got hacked. Newbies reading this, don't waste time with other peoples' accounts, you'll have no account and no money if someone else can prove ownership Wink
1975  Local / Alternatywne kryptowaluty / Re: gdzie rozdają kryptowaluty za darmo? on: June 29, 2019, 12:43:02 AM
1976  Other / Meta / Re: Junk accounts - what is it? Are they a threat? How to get rid of them? on: June 29, 2019, 12:37:55 AM
Would be better to see this immediately here on the forum, but is better than nothing or to search in compilation threads of banned users, because it takes a lot of time.

If you can't see it on a user's profile, you can Ctrl+F their user id in the modlog https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php, I think it goes 3 weeks back.

1977  Local / Alternatywne kryptowaluty / Re: Libra - Stablecoin Facebooka - Wasze przemyślenia i opinie on: June 28, 2019, 11:57:22 PM
Będą wady korzystania z banku, bez zalet kryptowalut. Dojdzie za to firm mających wgląd w finannse użytkowników. Grzecznie będą sprawdzać wszystkich klientów z większą dokładnością niż prawo nakazuje i biedne kraje dalej będą w dupie.

1978  Local / Polski / Re: Czemu nie nagradzamy sie Meritami? on: June 28, 2019, 04:25:34 PM
1979  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BestMixer is gone, seized by the Financial Crime Investigation on: June 28, 2019, 03:46:57 PM
It would take them too much time for analyzing all TXs and the ROI doesn't worth.

Not necessarily. A lot can be automated, and these days the police in some countries will go even after individual users purchasing, say, small amounts of drugs for private consumption. There were quite a few threads of on this topic on reddit of Germans on dnm subreddits getting visits from the police over small purchases.
1980  Local / Polski / Re: Czemu nie nagradzamy sie Meritami? on: June 28, 2019, 11:35:13 AM
