2001  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCDir - Bitcoin Directory on: August 28, 2019, 05:44:10 PM
The website itself looks promising but the main thing is the website is really not yet ready to be shown to the masses yet since its lacking content. Right now I only see direct websites from some forum sites including Bitcointalk and some altcoin websites in the POW folder. From what I know the forum already created a lot of topics related to lists on services and websites that accepts Bitcoin and I know it will instantly help you. You just need to find it and of course screen the services listed in the list since some of them might not be working already or is a scam website. Just keep in mind that if your website grows you must never forget to be organized on where you are putting those websites and services on so users won't get lost.
2002  Other / Meta / Re: Percentages of DT1, DT2 & normal users in top100 merited profiles, merit senders on: August 27, 2019, 09:13:15 PM
I guess it comes without saying that the most trusted and the most active ones here in the forum are the ones who are sending and receiving the merits the most. How active you are on how you contribute your knowledge in the forum is the key to receiving a lot of merits, you won't really be part of that list by not contributing anything to BCT. We are also forgetting that some of the trusted members in the DT list are also merit sources which is also a factor to consider since they have the most merits to send and they also have a good chance of receiving them due to reciprocal merits.
2003  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can identify off-topic?? on: August 27, 2019, 08:15:07 PM
Basically if you are just reading the title of the thread and not reading the OP and the other posts chances are your post would be off-topic. So if you are the type of member where you just look for threads and post instantly  without reading anything you would most likely have posts deleted from you since you are not contributing anything new to the topic being discussed. Best way to avoid this is to actually try to read posts and relate to it as much as possible without trying to imitate what others have said or try to answer any generic answers.
2004  Economy / Economics / Re: Future and current Humanity, Bitcoin, Gold and Fiat. on: August 27, 2019, 07:36:10 PM
The growing population isn't the problem here, how the economy works is.  There's more to it than the supply and demand of fiat to see if the economy is really sufficient for the human population because you cannot really just print more money to solve the problem as you will just make things worst. That's why the best solution is to develop your country more by reducing the unemployment rate, creating more projects, and increasing the literacy rate in order for your people to have jobs in the future the best possible outcome is you squeeze the current circulating supply of money as it also increases it's value even though the supply is limited. Developing the country more is the way to go for the citizens to have a part of the current supply we have now.
2005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Huge drop happening within 48 hours! on: August 27, 2019, 03:45:31 PM
Lol!!!!! If you really know how to read the charts “somehow” then you know the descending wedge pattern is not a bearish pattern but a bullish pattern when it is coupled with a decreasing volume shows that it's a healthy correction that you don't have to worry about it going down even further. I don't know if you really made this thread purposely to be negative and see how others will correct you but hopefully you still learn how to read charts properly before you mislead yourself.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 26, 2019, 09:25:14 PM
According to AS

The offer of Barca for Neymar is now Dembelè + 170M €. WTF

Can't be real oO.

Is this even true? I don't see any other news sources backing it up and this kind of deal seems to be unrealistic for Barcelona to do especially if they have offloaded Neymar in the past. I don't see Barcelona try and get another player that was once in their squad and them offering up Dembele plus that kind of amount seems to be an unrealistic offer to be done by Barcelona. I don't see how this is true as that kind of offer makes Barca look desperate on getting Neymar back.
2007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitMEX alternatives? on: August 26, 2019, 08:24:25 PM
The crypto exchange you are looking for is non-existent in your case. That's why we are already seeing a lot of crypto exchanges pulling out of their U.S. operations as they are not allowed to operate their exchange internationally without the U.S. approving it like Binance voluntarily suspending their operations in that country, the ones who are cleared to run their operations in the U.S. are required to ask KYC from their clients as part of their requirements issued by the SEC. It's either sacrifice your non KYC requirement or don't really be involve in leverage trading at all.
2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: August 25, 2019, 07:33:21 PM
There is an upcoming one named "Sage Thief" which is  a Chinese movie that will be in their cinemas around October. At first I thought the movie was about criminals using cryptocurrencies because it was named "Sage Thief" but after watching the trailer it revolves around the crypto and blockchain industry itself. Now for the market watching itself I don't think it would be a success in terms of sales because I don't think a lot of people will be interested in watching a movie about cryptocurrencies.
2009  Other / Meta / Re: Flag multiple scammer question on: August 24, 2019, 08:50:27 PM
The way I see how DT members handle it is if that alt account is proven to be "Mr. Smith" then the alt account would just be tagged somehow like this "Alt account of Mr. Smith who [go more into details of his tag] and see reference link for more details". The DT member would then reference the tag on where it has proven that its an alt account and see the link on Mr. Smith. The way I see it is flags won't be necessary to alt accounts as you are just repeating the flag for just one person. Linking the alt account to the main account is more than enough for me.
2010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The signs of Scam. on: August 24, 2019, 07:58:44 PM
Maybe you should try to add avoiding buying Merit and Positive Trust within or outside the forum. I've seen how this works some transactions went well and some don't. And people who paid and didn't receive anything would complain in the forum but at the end they would get negative trust because they are buying trust and merits for their accounts. Transactions related to this are always risky as you really don't know who you are dealing with especially if you found them outside of the forum. You better off staying away from this offers as they aren't even allowed in the forum.
2011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 22, 2019, 09:14:24 PM
With the market still being considered as a young market this isn't really about the battle to who is the better coin out there its a battle of who is the most popular cryptocurrency available in the market and right now Bitcoin is the one who sits at the top. For all the people I know they will always be familiar with the word "Bitcoin" first but they really don't know anything about "altcoins" this just suggest that even for normal people Bitcoin still reaches out to them. You won't hear them anything about Ethereum, Litecoin, or Monero but only Bitcoin. The demand for the market isn't really focus on a lot of cryptocurrencies since a lot of the traders are just getting ready to enter now that is why they will always settle for what is the most popular.
2012  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: August 22, 2019, 08:45:58 PM
Really depends on how hard the economy of that country is hit from that trade ware. If it only affects a particular business industry not related to the crypto industry then I doubt it would trigger any long term effects in the market it will just be FUD at best. But if the trade war is somehow affecting a business with near relations to the crypto industry then we will more have than FUD affecting our market. Businesses like crypto exchanges being prohibited from running internationally or blockchain companies not having a fair fight against local counterparts are just a few examples.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 22, 2019, 07:38:34 PM
Leonard is still 28 years old and he will continue to develop himself, and though he doesn't have a fancy moves like Lebron and Kobe, but look at his stats, he is so consistent, he come up clutch in different important occasions and that's the quality of a real star.

If he makes another championship this year, that would make him a GOAT for me.
I like him humbleness and this guy is so focus, he is a silent type who is a killer inside the court, but maybe he wasn't getting much appreciation when they won the championship is because the Warriors are playing without Durant and Klay Thompson in the last game, that's a big loss of the Warriors since both are part of the starting line up, he needs to prove again this year playing with the LA Clippers.

It would take more than two championships before Kawhi Leonard can got into the NBA Goat talk, he did carry the Toronto Raptors for sure in the Finals and win the champions with a underdog team but he didn't stuck out to the team and gave it another shot to defend their title. Now he is just partnering up with Paul George on even a stronger team which means if he wins a championship for second in the row now it's just like Kevin Durant winning a championship with the Warriors for me as he would take the easier rout compared to what he had with the raptors.
2014  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Get All The Cryptocurrency News In One Place on: August 22, 2019, 06:41:51 PM
Are you sure that this is a news curator website or just a retweet website? Because everything I see in the website are all just tweets from other news sources which doesn't really count as news articles as tweets don't even count as news if they aren't even providing the whole article even if they are providing the link for the whole article. Also I see some tweets that I think shouldn't be there in the first place since they are really no news involve maybe you need to change how you filter out or screen the "news" you are sharing.

It's just... twitter... but with a lot, and i mean a LOT of random crap from what i can see. Random altcoins, but it doesn't seem to be following any/a lot of the Crypto OG's under famous people. I do see tweets made by some "koreanjew" about every month being black history month... Not sure what that's all about.

Anyway, why would someone use this over their own twitter account. I don't get it.

https://coinretweet.com/famous-people/

I have to agree with you. This could be the worst possible way of getting your daily fix from new because there is really no difference from Twitter users following these "news sources" compared to vising their website. Like I said there is no kind of screening process all I see is they just grab the latest tweet in that account's page they think are sharing the news and put it available in their website. You will just waste your time finding what is relevant from the tweets they are sharing and to top it all you also need to click the link to read the whole article from a different website which the tweet is sharing.
2015  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto signals - any successful cases? Advices? on: August 22, 2019, 05:11:31 PM
I tried observing what they so-called crypto signals and I just wasted a lot of time being there. They really don't start right to begin with they'll always bombard you with this "premium/guaranteed signals" that has of course with a payment but if you get inside it will be the same thing and they'll always ask you to join another group that has "guaranteed" success. There is really no analysis going on just entry and exit points which if you observe isn't even right, what I mean about that is after observing the prices the prediction they said on that cryptocurrency didn't happen at all. It's either that or you join a group that they say are a "crypto signals" group but it's just a pump and dump group.
2016  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Tax notices from IRS this year for previous years on: August 22, 2019, 04:11:38 PM
Haven't the IRS warned the US crypto traders about paying their taxes rate with relation to their crypto assets recently in public? I got a feeling that this is just part of their intimidation by notifying each and single one about their tax obligations with the government because I have seen several cases like this online already which is similar to what you are saying. If they have notified you again and this time with calculations to your discrepancy I guessed you need to re-calculate your taxes, don't forget to deduct fees you are paying each time you trade crypto to crypto as this will help you lessen your tax obligation.
2017  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-21] Bitcoin Hash Rate ‘Not Affected’ as China Floods Knock Out Miners on: August 22, 2019, 03:21:45 PM
I'm pretty sure that even if the hash rates went down even for a bit there will always be someone who will cater to the drop because of the reduce in difficulty especially when the prices are considerably high now miners will always have a lot of ways to take advantage and earn more from mining, I won't even be surprised if Poolin itself has some backup farms ready to operate just in case natural disasters like this happen. They won't risk a month or two without operating since the loss will be bigger for them.
2018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Burn Satoshis coins to end the threat of prices crashing - Paxful Founder on: August 21, 2019, 09:47:41 PM
Lol, I think it would still have the same effect as if we are on a volatile market. Satoshi's supply burned to the ground will just only be viewed negatively by the general public and it will trigger FUD immediately even the whales will be on board on offloading their position if this happened. I don't think the volatility or the market scare we are having now is that considerable because of the thought of Satoshi revealing himself in the world. I would rather stay in the current situation now than see Satoshi's own supply will go away.

2020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Phishing] Be careful if you received file-sharing using Google Docs on: August 21, 2019, 06:48:51 PM
One way to avoid falling for these phishing traps is to be always aware about the situation because a lot of them can be convincing especially if you are really part of that organization or even related to something that they are saying. One way to do it is to always ask people you know that are also part of what you are doing since this is another way of confirming if the email that was sent to you was for real. The example above in the OP screams fraud but there are really others that are more convincing than this so you need to confirm everything first.
