2021  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to get an abusive NEG removed that was left by a NUKED user? on: June 21, 2019, 11:53:38 PM
Unless theymos changed his stance on this matter, repeated ratings can be treated as spam and removed. Not sure about Mallex's rating, it's just one rating, clearly it's trolling and honestly just spam/drivel, but I don't know if it's something theymos bother to look at.

Banned users' ratings shouldn't be removed in case their ban ends (tempban), or they may have been permanbanned, and unbanned later for some reason.
2022  Other / Meta / Re: Make Trust flags visible in all sections on: June 21, 2019, 11:47:40 PM
Not the worst idea, fine by me. Maybe these flags should also be visible when receiving private messages from flagged users.
2023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC millionaire looking for good causes on: June 21, 2019, 11:38:06 PM
Nobody's falling for that I hope Roll Eyes

OP might be trolling or trying to pull a scam, but it's not really outside the realm possibility with how much the price of BTC has increased.
2024  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: June 21, 2019, 10:16:26 PM
That make sense, actually. Gambling websites tend to attract people who think they have it all figured out and found a way of striking it rich until their gambling system inevitably falls victim to the game's expected value. Gambled more than he could afford to lose and now he's lashing out...
2025  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC millionaire looking for good causes on: June 21, 2019, 03:40:43 PM
And I absolutely wouldn’t want to compromise my privacy and security by signing messages or publishing my BTC address for the sake of getting believed by some random dudes in a cryptocurrency forum.

What kind of privacy and security are you talking about? He is not make his account on this forum with his real name, address or with something like that, so signing message would not endanger anything. Unless you think our two admins would check his IP address (if he is not using TOR, VPN) and made a great effort to find him and take his coins from him Roll Eyes

Maybe someone is able to connect an address with his real identity and perhaps OP would prefer to keep to himself his intentions of donating his bitcoins, or to whom he would donate them. There are many legitimate reasons why someone would want to compartmentalize their identities.

OP, look at Pineapple fund (it was already mentioned above) if you're looking for ideas where to donate.
2026  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: June 21, 2019, 01:06:58 PM
Post some evidence, otherwise you're just spamming/trolling and wasting forum space. No one will take you seriously otherwise, especially as a Newbie, anyone can spam their competitors' thread like that.
2027  Local / Polski / Re: [Konkurs] Wytypuj cenę BTC na koniec III kwartału 2019 on: June 21, 2019, 08:09:08 AM
Okej to ja też wytypuję: $14700. Obecna cena zbliża się do $10k, więc jestem już umiarkowanie optymistyczny.
2028  Local / Polski / Re: Martingale - strategia na ruletkę? on: June 20, 2019, 11:32:11 PM
Kasyno musi na siebie zarobić Wink Dodatnia wartość oczekiwana jest gdy sam prowadzisz stronę albo inwestujesz w bankroll (bustdice, bustabit i bitvest też z tego co widzę oferuje taką możliwość).
2029  Local / Polski / Re: Programy inwestycyjne on: June 20, 2019, 11:15:39 PM
Bitconnect to jedna z najbardziej znanych piramidek w krypto, inne znane to między innymi Onecoin czy Paycoin. Nie był to pierwszy ani ostatni projekt żerowania na naiwnych.
2030  Local / Polski / Re: Martingale - strategia na ruletkę? on: June 20, 2019, 10:04:44 PM
Liczy się wartość oczekiwana (expected value), przy prawdopodobieństwie 99% też długoterminowo wszystko stracisz jeśli przykładowo tylko 1.00001 razy więcej tego co postawiłeś możesz wygrać.
2031  Other / Meta / Re: Bet 365 Account sales – report/feedback/flag – all/some/none – Consensus ? on: June 20, 2019, 07:16:40 PM
Q1) What if the seller sells Bet 365 accounts (or alike), but does not explicitly mention that they come along with KYC (i.e. simply sells Bet 365 accounts and redirects to a Telegram id)?
Q2) What if the seller sells Bet 365 accounts (or alike), and mentions that they are verified, but does not mention that the IDs will be provided?

A1) For now, if I don't see any info about accounts being ID verified/having passed KYC/real document scans being provided/etc. (which is rare) I don't do anything.
A2) Report them. Sometimes I can find something that can convince me that they're legit, but usually they aren't, or they aren't convincing enough.
2032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is what every country will do on: June 20, 2019, 05:12:19 AM
Statists gonna state  Roll Eyes

Those who are excited at the upcoming regulations in other countries following FATF recommendations would do well to acquaint themselves with said recommendations...
2033  Other / Meta / Re: Bet 365 Account sales – report/feedback/flag – all/some/none – Consensus ? on: June 19, 2019, 09:58:51 PM
If they're Newbies and their topic has disappeared it means they have been nuked (= all posts are deleted and the account is banned).
2034  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roger Ver/Memorydealers is intentionally defrauding people. on: June 19, 2019, 05:00:52 PM
I am pretty confident if I someone anonymously sent Roger Ver 1000 BTC right now he would probably return it. People like this do not deserve the trust flag, if you were to conduct a forum trade with him he would not scam you. This just seems super political especially when he is not active on this forum. At the end of the day I would trust Roger Ver to do large trades with, more so than some of the most trusted people on this forum.

As linked above, he is intentionally misleading people causing them to lose money.

He also sells BTC which he refers to as "Bitcoin Core", even though Bitcoin Core is an altcoin with a different ticker ("BTCC").

He should get flagged by one of the people he misled, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to give him a Newbie-flag.
2035  Other / Meta / Re: Bet 365 Account sales – report/feedback/flag – all/some/none – Consensus ? on: June 19, 2019, 11:54:14 AM
You should report the threads if the Bet 365 account is KYC verified and the OP does not explain how it is not hacked. When I see a thread offing copies of documents with the account, I refer to this post and don't report it:
<>
if the seller can provide the documents used for verification I assume they either belong to them, or they found someone desperate enough who's willing to provide document scans or selfies for a small fee. If they're selling hacked accounts then I assume the accounts even if verified would come without the assorted documents photos/scans. I'm sending a PM to theymos anyway for a clarification.

I consulted with theymos on this subject later that day, you can report these kinds of posts, I also ban many of them now.
2036  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: June 18, 2019, 04:46:42 PM
But what happened to Alexander Vinnik probably changed their mind.

Vinnik's arrest happened a year before wex closed down, the rest of the team, assuming they well as implicated as Vinnik, would have been safe so long as they remained in Russia or in Russia-aligned states (e.g. Belarus where one of the founders came from iirc). Like many other cryptocurrency businesses, some of the people behind btc-e/wex decided they've had enough working and were ready to retire.
2037  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 18, 2019, 02:38:41 PM
What about alt abusers? flag type 1 is worthless in my opinion.
Flag 1 is visible only for newbie and guests, I've sent over 1k feedback for alt abusing in the past.
Now if I flag them all, the flag will be visible only for people who don't care about the abusing.
Managers will not see the flag.

What do you mean by alt abusing? People who use more than one account in the same bounty campaign? Just keep a thread in Reputation, like the ones Lauda or DarkStar_ have with lists of sig spammers and other shitposters.
2038  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 18, 2019, 11:29:16 AM
Ban evaders should be reported for ban evasion, you can use the Newbie-flag to flag an alt account of a scammer.
2039  Other / Meta / Re: Bet 365 Account sales – report/feedback/flag – all/some/none – Consensus ? on: June 18, 2019, 11:03:52 AM
Recently I started to ban a lot these account sellers on sight (same goes for other services' accounts with similar KYC), but if I don't ban them it means either:

a) they aren't Newbies anymore, other Global mods and Admins should deal with them; or
b) they have managed to convince me the accounts they are selling haven't been obtained through fraudulent means (I won't say what I'm looking for)

Feel free to report them, many do get banned.
2040  Other / Meta / Re: Can We have bitcointalk user interface changed to something like Facebook UI? on: June 18, 2019, 12:42:03 AM
Facebook, instagram, twitter, reddit, etc. and similar 'modern' websites are OK-ish at best for new/fresh content, especially picture or video-based, but suck a big one if you're looking for actual discussions. SMF, especially the current version, is certainly a bit dated now, but I'd take that any day over fb or similar trash. Not to mention the bloat, bleh.
