2021  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE 700 TH/s or 8.68 GH/s per share on: February 22, 2014, 07:28:24 PM
Great news for shares holders, I am happy that things are moving for you, and I am happy that Crpytx is trying his best to deploy the hardware and remain a fair operator.

Quote
CryptX will remain the right to IPO the remaining 19,326 shares at an equal hashrate per share at the time of the IPO, so no dilution is possible. This enables us to give the PETAMINE an extra boost of minimum 170 TH/s.

yet, this is really interesting, as I understood, to add the additional 170 TH, they will have to sell the remaining shares, maybe to a private share holders or partner? or put them back in havelockinvestments ?

2022  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 22, 2014, 04:37:23 PM
I am still not convinced about the price going up, looks like a trap to me, well If it wont go down, I will cash out the money I have in Bitstamp....
2023  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp - wanted to withdraw money and was hit with these weird KYC questions on: February 22, 2014, 01:53:06 AM
I've got the same questions, I did answer every single one, although I know that some of the questions just doesn't make any sense but I needed the cash so I had to do what they asked me to do, after I submitted the answers I got my money after a couple of days.

I have no problem with answering the questions as long as it is legitimate and will get me my money, I understand that they are heavily regulated and they have to ask this to cover them selves.

just to point something out, the account verification is a KYC (know your customer), so they have to know who you are to let you use their service, and these questions are AML (anti money laundering) so if they see a suspicious activity or a large withdrawal or a large deposit they proceed with them, and yes it does happen even when you deposit a large amount of money.

just take it easy, if you are not doing any illegal activities then you have nothing to be afraid off.

Bitstamp is offline for me..
2025  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 04:48:48 PM
I also noticed another bitcointalk thing.

when we are in a downtrend, big hodlers like goat, rpietila, loaded, etc, are nowhere to be found in this thread. we have just a bunch of aggressive minions instaed.

Goat and Risto are long gone from this thread, Risto said that he will come back when we hit low 500 as he predicted, I dont know for Goat, maybe he is busy Mining ? Loaded was never a daily poster....
2026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 04:46:14 PM
we're going below 500.

We're going below your mom.

Stay class Billyboy, stay classy...

In real world you would need to prove that point with your fists and strength of your teeth but this is Internet so staying classy is best way to not look like an idiot. I guess not looking like idiot is hard in your case but people have done bigger things while trying hard Wink

You mom doesn't like it when I use fists and teeth. Four fingers at the most.

Seriously, what is wrong with someone saying "we're going below 500" ?  I think we will go below 400 a flash crash maybe ? who knows, take your feelings out of this, I do hold allot of wealth in Bitcoin, but this cant stop Bitcoin from going down, also trashing other members wont stop it..... you will look silly if it happens.... I've been there Wink
2027  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: February 21, 2014, 04:23:04 PM
Looking at the TA (I am not an expert, maybe I am wrong) the bottom is sitting somewhere between 400-460, but with Gox BS and all the negativity around I wont be surprised if we hit 300-350 (maybe flash crash?)... I am more and more reconsidering my position, now I got some Fiat on Bitstamp and I have open orders till 430, so lets see how that plays out.

Before I was so sure about not breaking the 600's, but after going back and reading all predictions again, I feel so ignorant about my past statements...
2028  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE 220 TH/s on: February 21, 2014, 04:06:25 PM
Funds are still on 1PETAmNrgdzx3FwzJPNuhx18JVKdGtwWt6
Nothing on our accounts.
Let's give few more minutes to the process...  Undecided

I think whether dividends arrive this week or next week is of no importance, it's not like there would be a large enough figure that you could do anything with the money apart from sit on it
9 btc - hosting - reinvestment = maybe 6 btc.
0.0000075 btc/share
You guys really need/want this in your wallets this week?
At havelock it would be written a yield of 5.5%.

Looking at Bitmine official thread, they are not delivering miners and mybe they wont do till March, so to speculate about how fast they will ramp up their production my estimates are mid march till full PETA-MINE operation, until then it is worthless to argue about dividends, Cryptx cant do anything about the miners he doesn't have.

It is a waiting game, it was like that and it will be like that... patience is your only solution.
2029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 04:00:37 PM
I've got some FIAT on Bitstamp as well, I don't know where the price is heading but I wish if it go as low as 420 so my orders will fulfill, if not I will just cash out what I have in there Wink
2030  Economy / Service Discussion / Mtgox manipulation, problems and its effect on the Bitcoin economy on: February 21, 2014, 12:25:12 AM
So before I start pointing out how MTgox screwed up big time, I will first point out that they take some credit for bringing Bitcoin at what it is at today, but this cant be simply an excuse for screwing the whole community.

Let us focus only on the events that happened in 2013-2014, we wont mention the hacks and all events from 2010-2012, so:

1- Mtgox problems started early 2013 (Q1), their First Big problem was their horrible engine, it did experience lags of days and weeks without any exaggeration, some people couldn't cancel orders, many people took big losses, that is when they halted the trading for a calm down period.
2- The next Problem was their accounts in the US being seized after not being registered as a money transmitter, they worked all the time without a licence.
3- OKpay and other partners halted Withdrawals/deposits and stopped working with them.
4- Fiat withdrawal limitations due to their "bank limit".
5- BTC withdrawal problems.
6- the list can go on shitty support, not being prepared for Ddos attacks, awful communication....

I would like to point out few things, beside their engine being screwed and their custom wallet which couldn't handle the malleability shows that they really suck at IT architecture, or they don't even have an IT system Architect and proves again that an exchange of that size did run unprofessionally by few guys that were not prepared for Bitcoin success, when Bitcoin community was dramatically growing they didn't consider taking their exchange to the next step and hire more people and professionals to deal with the situation.

but the most thing that annoys me, and I cant figure it out or understand it, or at least the information that they disclosure doesn't seem to sum up with their story, they are having a FIAT "withdrawal limits" from their bank!?? so I know about few companies here in which had similar problems with their bank, they solved it in a simple way, first open a new bank account with another bank and you can discuss terms in advance, I am sure many banks will want that piece of the pie and when you do, secondly you go to your actual bank and ask for account closure, they cant tell you no and they must send your funds into the new bank account.

I cant imagine what could cause the FIAT withdrawal delays, well one scenario is that they don't have the funds and they are running a ponzi scheme, in which they pay old customers with new incoming money and from the trading fee they earn...

and now the BTC withdrawals, I wont comment yet on that, but I have a feeling that it will be the same like FIAT withdrawals....

Mtgox, is taking the whole community as fools, and they are not effecting only their customers but the whole community is going down with them.

2032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 06:24:06 PM
Ok I am analyzing my phone and I have only two Bitcoin related apps, the first is the bitcoin checker and the second is the Blockchain.info wallet, the other thing is that I am registered in havelockinvestment and few days ago someone reported a security breach where his account was totally emptied.

I also have a cointerra account, and we all know that they had their site hacked few weeks ago as well, I cant think of something else... anyone have the same experience ?
2033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 05:50:18 PM
ok here is something to think about, who of you use and android ? and use the same email for google account with Bitstamp? it could be a Bitcoin related APP.... I need some co-operation here, we need to know from where they've got our emails...

You're a smart one.

My app/android email =/= my bitstamp email.

Others?

I also have the same configuration  My app/android email =/= my bitstamp email

we need more people to confirm this , maybe there is an APP doing this, who knows !!!

Wait, what? My email of Bitstamp is *not* the same as that on my phone, and I *can* withdraw.

I'm confused... you can't withdraw, right?

opss sorry didnt understand the / I got it and I use the same mail. so we need to get to the source

Amazed by the amount of people saying they don't use 2FA.

Seriously guys, WTF? How difficult is to download Google Auth on your phone and to set up the 2FA on your exchange account?

Why do you try so hard to be the low-hanging fruit and thus to be hacked?

WHY???

I guess i'm not the only one who worries about losing the phone and doesn't really know how to keep backups of the 2FA stuff properly.

you just write the key down on a paper and save it, do you lose important documents as well ?

I guess then that we had a leak at bitstamp side.

We need to hear from somebody who used an exclusive address for their bitstamp account (ie. one that they have not used on some other service), yet still received that spam, to know this for sure.

I use 2 exclusive IP addresses, and use 2FA and use all their security features, and I got my BTC withdrawals blocked, so I really do not know what happened exactly, I guess their announcement will answer everything
2038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 05:23:41 PM
I did receive that E-mail as well, I just read the email and was like "yes nice try", so I guess that was it.

I wonder how stamp knows which accounts received that e-mail, assuming that is the withdraw suspension trigger.

maybe BTC guild provided them with the Addresses the e-mail was sent to ? if it was really BTCguild safety fuckup, I think their last move was to prevent anything from happening with contacting stamp ? I have no Idea I am just speculating ...

But I am not registered on BTC Guild, some other people that got the email are not registered either. I think they maybe got the emails from Bistamp directly or some other way and just send it from 'support@btcguild.com' to not arouse suspicion.

mmm yes this is really strange

Okay thanks. Yeah, I think they spotted the fishing attempt and paused withdrawals on the affected accounts as a precaution.

where did you see the phishing attempts ? I was offline the whole day, did I miss anything ?

I received emails from 'support@btcguild.com' yesterday and the day before for the first time which contained a link to download malware. A few other people got that email too, people that got that email get the error message when attempting to withdraw bitcoins from Stamp. I am not registered at BTC Guild, and it was sent to the email address I use for my Stamp account.
