your forgot the 1d MACD, which is turning green.

yes I didnt forget it, I ignored it because the 4h,6h,12h are all going/already  crossed/crossing and turning red which means that the 1d will turn down right away... now they are just touching and they are not crossing...

I'm afraid we have one more leg down, not mainly because of Gox bankruptcy news but overall, it didn't look last 2 days we're ready for new rally. Gox news could help a bit.

But since even I am finding myself thinking where it will stop than reversal probably isn't too far.

My thoughts as well. The "recovery" already seemed to get stuck yesterday night, and with further price development of today, it's starting to look like we're leaning towards downward breakout.

I will add some analyzes and feel free to discuss its validity:

[....]

Well, here's my comment on it: Your analysis makes sense, but except for the last one it's all based on momentum trading, which usually works, until it doesn't anymore... especially now that there is probably quite a few in here who think we're maybe still not rallying, but that the bottom is in... which can translate into "let's start buying in again, since we're near the bottom anyway" rather quickly. That said, I also see more evidence that we're going back into the lower half of the 500s again, since breaking 600 doesn't seem to be an option either right now, and the momentum is still downwards on any recent time scale bigger than 3 days.

I was in both past bubbles and I can confirm one thing, when the bubble ends the price wont shoot up in a couple of weeks, it will take a couple of months of some visual stability, then we can shoot up just because everyone is trying to discover the "real" price of a bitcoin.

I will make sure to wait and look for that sweet spot and buy back, if I am wrong and if anything happen in between and I get surprise (bitcoin is unpredictable) then I will just cash out my profits and hold to my current BTC portfolio.

looking to 4h charts the bear market just started : there is a periods crossove
r

looking to 6h charts the bear market will be starting (continueing from the 4h chart cycle) : there periods will crossover

looking to 12h charts the bear market will be starting (continueing from the 6h chart cycle ) : there periods will crossover

looking to 3d charts the bear market didn't even end and the down trend continue, and after few days from that 400 crash the bottom didn't even form and the indicators didn't even get close to crossing  (continueing from the 6h chart cycle ) :

@mmitech

If I remember correctly, you were one of these guys who was saying "to da moon". What happened now that you turned? Missed the bottom? Sold @400?

I was shouting out to the moon till 700, all my calculations and predictions suggested that we wont drop below that but once we did, I sat down and went back read all what I wrote and what others did, look for few days to charts and other things... and I came to the conclusion that I was so wrong.

I told people here that we were going to test 400 in a couple of days and they trashed me so hard but we did and I made profits of that, and they are doing the same now, but never mind I will be doing just fine the next couple of months Wink

I have constantly been talking about how cons I'm about trading btc. My opinion is simple: YOU SHOULDN'T.
I have also posted here my 5 rules of success for newbies:
1. Don't get emotional from other's people thoughts.
2. Not everyone here is a "nice person" you can trust.
3. IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, DON'T TRADE.
4. HOLD!!!
5. Until you desperately need the money follow rule #4.

Good Luck!

I have also posted an article (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=372346.0) about why you SHOULDN'T trade btcs and the most viable way to get out with more money/btc would be to hold.

Well; I bet you knew the risks.

I'd say whoever wants to buy; do it now for there will be no other opportunity for you... and I'm very serious right now.

you and I were serious at 800, you and I were serious at 700 but I stopped there and started thinking more seriously, you kept being serious at 600,500,400, and you still didn't learn anything, but to be honest, best thing you can do if you are lost now is to Hold.  Wink

I can interpret what he/she said! Its a good time to buy because we are going to da moon!!

send me pictures from there  Cheesy

OK the hate will always go toward people whom their prediction is Bitcoin's price dropping, but YAY if I say CCMF for no reason, I wont share my predictions about the price waves, I will keep them for my self, but you can quote me on the price going to 300... if not, I will be cashing my profits out and I will stick to my actual Bitcoin portfolio Wink

I just woke up. What happened? Why are we at 560?

we are going to test the resistance at 550.

how about 350 or less? does this seems convenient to you ?  my prediction is in the next few months the price will drop to as low as $300

Reuters: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/28/us-bitcoin-mtgox-bankruptcy-idUSBREA1R0FX20140228

Quote
(Reuters) - Mt. Gox, once the world's biggest bitcoin exchange, filed for bankruptcy protection on Friday, saying it may have lost all of its investors' virtual coins due to hacking into its faulty computer system.

Chief executive Mark Karpeles, bowing in contrition and wearing a suit instead of his customary T-shirt, apologized in Japanese at a news conference for the company's collapse, blaming "a weakness in our system."

Angry investors have been seeking answers for what happened to their holdings of cash and bitcoins, an unregulated crypto-currency, on the Tokyo-based exchange. The collapse of the company has shaken the virtual currency world.

Mt. Gox deleted its website on Tuesday after freezing withdrawals earlier this month in the wake of a series of technical difficulties.

The exchange had liquid liabilities of 6.5 billion yen ($63.67 million), dwarfing its total assets of 3.84 billion yen, the company said. It had 127,000 creditors in bankruptcy, just over 1,000 of whom are Japanese.

The company and Karpeles have said little in the days before the filing, which is similar to Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States, except that they were working with others to resolve their problems.

Karpeles told the news conference that Mt. Gox wanted to file a criminal complaint against what he said was a hacking attack, but had no specific means of doing so.

Am i really the only one who is concerned that Bitcoin hasn't responded to ANY good news in MONTHS?
People dump every single time there is some bad news. Often it isn't even bad news but more like "i'm gonna panic sell in case it us bad news". We go lower and lower. Now we're at 570. There will be good news. Nobody will give a shit. They're all waiting for the next bad news so we can go lower again.
We would need to most amazing super positive news ever to stop this and i don't see this coming.

So give me one reason why we could go up again. I can't find any. I really can't.

Edit: how much longer will we be going down because of Gox. They are gone. Will it take us down for months to come? Can't people just get over it?

it is really simple, bitcoin went from 80 to 1240 in one month and a half, this also doesn't seem healthy, people seem to think about "take some profit while they can", the down trend will continue till we discover the next adoption wave and we will see what the market will decide a fair price is.

Dude, we went from $400 to ~$566 now %41 up. This is officially a bull market. I'm not saying we can't go down from here, but there is twice as much fiat defending the bottom now as there was when we hit it the first time. Check the order books.

Don't be angry; he wants CHEAP COINZ!!!! Tongue

and I will get them Wink

there is a 50K BTC bids to 200 and there is a 12 million Bitcoin in existence, many people will think about taking some profits while they can and that 50K BTC order book wont handle the dumps, think about it, it is really simple.

I was collecting and cashing out some of my profits as well, and many others are doing the same Wink

if you want me to prove it with TA I will do it without a problem, but most of you here hates the technical analyzes and base their calls on only hopes...

No more dumping ?

But can you see price picking up on this.
It maybe be a slow grind down, especially with weekend coming..

Yes. This is bullish. less coins means more $/BTC. Less uncertainty. Good new means buy the rumor sell the news. Bad news means sell the rumor buy the news.

I can tell you that no matter how much this seems to be bullish the price is going to go down further, and I can speculate on going lower than 400.

The Mtgox situation is more complicated than we all think and this will impact the price negatively for weeks if not months, nevertheless this is bullish long term for 2 reasons, the first is the death of Mtgox and the second is the media exposure.

but the bullish move will take at least few months to start pop-up, only my opinion. lets see what will happen.

Good morning guys, I didn't get to browse for the news yet, but I am watching a tweet from someone I am following on twitter about Mtgox announcement !!! I don't want to lose 1 hour searching for some information in which I know someone of you here did already mention 20 pages ago...

any take on this, anyone can tell me more or give me a link ?

if we break 610$ today i would say we have a new uptrend Smiley

dont look back at emptygox.
It almost seems as if someone at Bitstamp is attempting to FORCE that to happen so that people will think this.

I also think that is a dead cat bounce, I am still trying to convince my self that this is the bottom, but nope, I don't think so....
1919  Economy / Service Discussion / Gox going insolvent, and people asking you to forget is not that simple, why ? on: February 27, 2014, 12:35:09 PM
Here is why the gox situation is so fucked up and it has to be fixed and not forgotten, I really don't give a shit about gox and I don't want them to come back but users should be refunded.

2009 Lost my wife, dog, business, and truck (no particular order). Yeah it's a sad country song too...
I worked my ass off and saved everything that I didn't eat, only made necessary purchases, and that was used cheap items when absolutely needed, cheap cheap cheap...
Saw bitcoins in 2010/11 followed and I didn't get in because WIRED magazine online had a bad article about it.
Then, in 2013 I put half of my money into Bitcoins, via Gox.
Mark Karpeles, you owe a LOT more than these nibbles of carrots of useless noise & remarks which you've put in front of us like a bowl of vomit for dinner.
Mark Karpeles, you are feeding us information the way the NAZIS fed the prisoners in camps. If you fed us information the way you feed yourself, perhaps we could have some kind of settled feeling of what the fuck has happened to our hard earned money.
Mark Karpeles, where is my money?
Mark Karpeles, where are my bitcoins?
Mark Karpeles, what the fuck?
Sincerely,
One of your 1 million customers.

and dont give me "you should invest only what you can afford to lose" and " he is stupid because he left money there" , if you want bitcoin to go mainstream and be a success and if you are a truly believer of Bitcoin and not only a speculator, you should never tell  that to anyone, otherwise by accepting the Mtgox closure just like that we are telling the world that Bitcoin  is a Ponzi...

I didn't lose a single satoshi there, but I cant accept the fact that many users lost life changing amount of funds, and early adopters are telling them, Ok just forget about it and move on, it is ok when you have 10K BTC  bought at less than $1, if you lose 500 it is like ok what ever, but for these people like the person above it is a life destroying event...
