2061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Break Above $11k And Falling Wedge on: August 08, 2019, 07:26:49 PM
BTC as of right now is showing some weakness after hitting 12,300$. It has now lost 6% of its value after attempting to go higher than 12,300$ now its only 11,590$ the lowest of which is 11,200$ for today. With that quick recover after 11,200$ I think the market is still in favor for the bulls but if Bitcoin continues to be in favor of the sellers by just going down nearer to 11,000$ once again then we might go down around 10,000$ by the end of the week. RSI is still in the middle so there is no indication on where the market will go from this point.
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Satoshi ever mention anything about the taxing of Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2019, 06:43:06 PM
No, but it comes without saying. Cryptocurrency if you still don't even consider it as a currency itself is still an asset because it carries/stores value with its digital code. And we all know anything that has value may it be stocks, real estates, or simply anything with capital gains is taxable by law. The only problem I see based on the current events I always read is some countries are having a hard time identifying what kind of asset is Bitcoin and that's important to them as each classification has different kinds of taxes.
2063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC LIMITS on: August 08, 2019, 04:26:16 PM
I hope OP is not confuse between personal wallet and exchange wallet.
When it comes to personal wallet, if it's a desktop wallet, I would suggest an electrum wallet but with 500 btc, it's risky to put it all in single wallet only, you should create more but always remember the key, further, always ensure you are downloading at the correct site, so your BTC will be safe.

This could be the case here. The OP needs to learn and distinguishes personal wallet and exchange wallet. Pretty sure he was asking about exchange wallet here.

Personal wallet - no limitations.
Exchange wallet - OP needs to check the TOS of the exchanges specially withdrawal/deposit limits.

Well I don't think that it's his mistake to believe it to be one. Most often than not 3rd party wallets endorse thenselves as some kind of of original wallet and everytime you search Bitcoin wallets in Google the ones that will show up first are the 3rd party wallets, the desktop wallets won't show up until the bottom of the page. This leads to newbies seeing 3rd party wallets first that's why they see a different kind of wallet.
2064  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: August 08, 2019, 03:43:44 PM
You are in a Bitcoin specialized forum you should expect to get biased answers here. But to be honest XRP is shit and I don't like the way they partner up with companies and still end up doing nothing , it really went all downhill once it lost 90% of its value. At least when you have Bitcoin you know it will be a big mover since it still the king of the market and still the most dominant cryptocurrency up to now. You will have a cryptocurrency that is the first mover in the market.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 07, 2019, 08:51:28 PM
I am tipping Atletico Madrid will have very good beginning of the season and possibly even make some difference on top of the table if Barcelona and Real start a bit shakily. I was skeptical after they paid so much money for Joao Felix but Simeone obviously knew what he was doing since they played some very good football in friendly matches and Felix was impressive. Real is looking really bad at the moment and Barca is still finding their form or waiting for Messi Smiley

Opinions?

You do have to remember that even if they have signed João Félix three of their key players are out of the team namely Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernández, and Rodri one of which is now in Barcelona and it won't help them make the the top of the league table any easier. Plus Real Madrid with Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic makes their offense stronger and scarier for any La Liga teams out there. I just don't see how Atletico Madrid could finish this season strong maybe they can achieve to be in the top 3 at most.
2066  Other / Meta / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: FLYING HELLFISH - SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AND CENSORSHIP on: August 07, 2019, 08:12:14 PM
Well it's his topic, I don't see the reason why he can't delete his own topic in the first place. Of course it would be a different story when he is using his position to screen all thread he is receiving. If I am an OP and I see one of my threads is getting out of hand I am glad that I always have a choice that I'll be able to delete the topic and all the conversation once and for all. It's like how a newbie reacts when he doesn't get the answers he wants or the topic simply gets out of hand he either abandons it or he deletes it on his own.
2067  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-07] Binance Has Denied Information About Users Data Leak on: August 07, 2019, 06:56:10 PM
They have the power to do so since they don't have any evidence against them, not until their own users comes forward and they know themselves that their public information are being used by other people then we don't really have any proof that a data leak happened. They can say a lot of excuses that the leak documents was not even from Binance or they don't even have that users in them. As far as they are concerned they are just only victims of black propaganda trying to damage the reputation of their business.
2068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alternative view: There is no bull market. Bitcoin will go down. on: August 07, 2019, 06:32:06 PM
Bitcoin is way passed the 10,000$ mark several times already to call this Bull market fake. I don't know about you but BTC gaining back 255% of its value in less than a month says that this real bull market and is something way overdue, we waited for Bitcoin to rise back up again for 18 months and it just happened in a timely passion. Before you even label this a bear market you should try to identity what a bear market looks like. Simply a bear market doesn't have an upward trend and the volume is not always in favor of the buyers. You will see the exact opposite in the market today.
2069  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game-protect flag on: August 06, 2019, 07:51:28 PM
I haven’t seen one person come on here as say what a great job game-protect did for them to help reclaim funds lost.
Give it up game-protect, we’re on to you.

Well I did see some but I don't think we can trust any testimonies or vouch coming from newbies and jr. members using his services. It's either trust what the low ranking members are saying or just believe that its just all game-protect's accounts promoting his own "service". After all these years that he had been active in the gambling section I have yet to see one trusted member vouch for his services so there is that to think about on whether or not he can be trusted with what he is offering.
2070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: August 06, 2019, 06:42:51 PM
Technical analysis works self-proclaimed "technical analysis experts" or "pro traders" doesn't. Simply because the ones you are following are not predicting where the cryptocurrencies are going or they aren't accurate on what they saying makes technical analysis crap. If technical analysis is bullshit then we cannot ignore the fact why TA has been used for a long time now on different markets. If doesn't mean that if technical analysis is not working for you means its not working for everyone. Why not try to really understand it and try to use it on your trades before to even say that its bullshit.
2071  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: British FCA proposing full ban on crypto CFD on: August 06, 2019, 04:38:33 PM
Whatever we do, the governments will eventually tighten the rules of decentralized cryptocurrency. The fight against money laundering and the fight against terrorism is an excellent reason for this.

Excellent excuse you mean.  Roll Eyes

Governments have always pointed at money laundering, tax evasion, financing of terrorism, etc in order to justify their regulations, but that's just bs. Their main incentive is to exercise control over people like you and me who aren't any of the aforementioned types. Tax evasion and whatnot is just a side benefit that these measures bring for governments.

Also, they can't tighten the rules of decentralized protocols. They can only tighten the rules of centralized businesses. It's an important difference.
It maybe just their excuse on creating this laws and regulations for the industry but I really don't see in any situation on how the crypto industry will be thriving without any kind of intervention from the government.  If they just let us thrive the  we are just unjustly enriching ourselves without paying taxes as compared to other investors in other markets do. The inequality itself will just create more hatred towarda the industry then any kind of appreciation.
2072  Economy / Economics / Re: What is behind the past few days of rally? on: August 06, 2019, 03:54:09 PM
It's not always because there is some big news that affects the movement of Bitcoin, sometimes its Bitcoin's price movement itself that affects on where it will go. I'm talking about it's technical side where we study the charts. Bitcoin just sinply rejected to go back down to 8,000$ several tines already that is why it continued to go up on a failed breakdown. And also why do you think BTC will go down now just because its going up? I don't see any connection why you think it will happen that way.
2073  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Project: Libra Block Explorer on: August 06, 2019, 02:53:29 PM
Libra is owned by Facebook, a big company, and they will most likely have a tradmark for it like any given product they have. You have illegally created your own block explorer for it which I don't think will be a good idea especially when Facebook tries to shut you down. Libra isn't like Bitcoin where you can create Logos, Coins, and Services out of it simply because you need to ask permission first to Facebook since it is their product. It's better to delete your website now before Facebook even notice you have one.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 05, 2019, 08:43:04 PM
After doubts, Melo confident he wants to play

What do you think guys? Which team he will play, hopefully he will be back soon, he might have already realize his past mistakes and change it to fit in a certain team. According to him, he can provide leadership within a team, you thoughts?

I think Lakers is his best chance for a comeback. They have one more spot on their roster if I am not mistaken. I think he will be a last minute addition if the Lakers can't find another player to complete the team.

Comeback for what? He is already 35 years old and his prime days are over the best thing he can do now is to be efficient on the role he was given and judging how filled his position will be if he ever goes to the Lakers I don't think he will have the minutes for him to shine. For one he would be playing under Lebron which would be taking most of the playing time, secondly his skills won't match the kinds of plays that they will have which would center around AD and Lebron. If he wants to really shine he would just sign a contract for a non-playoff team just to take some more minutes.
2075  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-05] Bitcoin Morphs Into Unlikely Sanctuary As Market Turmoil Rises on: August 05, 2019, 07:51:48 PM
Trust me once the general public goes into the crypto market we would also be affected. Can you imagine the massive fomo it will produce when all kinds of investors in different markets starts buying cryptocurrencies? It would be a lot and I don't think that the market would be prepared for that kind of audience. Ones the prices starts to rise up and the market confidence grows weaker then we can see that it would quickly go downs when all the traders starts to cashing out their gains, all who will be left are the ones who aren't prepared for the massive sell out that will happen.
2076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk and reflinks: don't produce refspam, please on: August 05, 2019, 06:45:11 PM
Even though its not in our official rules in the forum shilling too is something to be avoided as you will more likely to get tagged by promoting a certain website together with your ref link. I mean in most cases the ones who have ref links in their posts are always promoting and giving positive feedbacks about it which is really the reason why they get tagged in the first place. Also not all kinds of ref links are allowed in the forum. Sharing the ones related to a investment/pyramiding scheme or any kind of HYIP site and even fake cloudmining sites are not allowed and is considered as a scam, so you would also get tagged for that reason.
2077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Adopt New coins ? on: August 05, 2019, 04:42:37 PM
Before you even ask for a solution make sure that your problem is already existing or at least even reall. Because what you are saying now is the only thing most people see in mass media which we already have debunked or at least provided a solution now. For example the speed and even the price of the transaction is already solved by the introduction of the lightning network. The energy problem can be quickly be solved by the use of renewable energy.
2078  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says Bitcoin Waking Up Again on: August 05, 2019, 03:56:14 PM
You should expect that words coming from a known influencer since the movement is already moving. I don't know why he is still hyping it though as if we are not yet seeing how strong BTC's movement is now. As if its like he is doing this just because all the attention in the media now is not coming from him but from Craig Wright and libra coin that is why he is trying to make relatable in the crypto world again.
2079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are USA traders saying sayonara to Binance? (The Exodus Is Here?) on: August 04, 2019, 08:50:14 PM
This is hard to think about especially the most popular crypto exchanges in the US are operating overseas and this is hard for them since the SEC and the US authorities are not allowing them to have US customers. Now their only options are now limited to only Bittrex and Coinbase which I honestly think doesn't have the best service and with the competition going away I think they'll just be taking advantage of it without any kind of improvements with their system whatsoever.
2080  Other / Meta / Re: Inquiry about the ban on: August 04, 2019, 07:55:04 PM
Maybe the permaban was kind of implemented differently on his case especially if his account really committed plagiarism on its part so one of the admins implementing the ban might have clicked or issued the permaban wrongly to his account, I might be wrong here so I'm just giving one of the possible scenarios why he got locked and got banned at the same time since bans and locks are also implemented manually.
