Hello everyone!!

I updated about 20 minutes ago, and since there was a miner update (Gminer) I benchmarked like I always do.

This time however the benchmark failed. The miner would not start. I tried EWBF and it worked fine.
I then tried to mine BTG from miningpoolhub with both to make sure the pool was ok. Again, Gminer did the quick flash and fail.
I can't see what I am doing wrong. Anyone have any clue?  Here is the diagnostic.

The issue is related to the missing personalization string. Did you manually add this pool in Awesome Miner, or was is a re-use of one of the predefined pools?

If you added this pool yourself, please open the properties of the pool and fill in the Personalization field: BgoldPoW

Is there a way to use Rules to be notified when a Pool Group reaches a profit value?
It should be possible if you create a Profit Profile that only uses this Pool Group.

You can then create a rule simliar to "Example: Start mining when profitability is above a defined value":
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000085907-rules-detect-mining-issues-and-automate-tasks

In this example, the action is to start the mining. You can change this to use the Notification action instead.

Appreciate the response!  If I have more than one Profit Profile, how does the rule evaluate which of the two is at or above value?
OK - now I see the difficulty here. The trigger for "Revenue and profit" is considering all miners that you have enabled for the rule (either all miners or specific miners you apply the rule for).

If you configure the rule to look at the Profit Profile, it will look at the Profit Profile for each of the miners enabled for the rule. So you do need to have one miner using this Profit Profile for the concept to work. Based on your description, this may not be the case and you simply want to get notifications without having any miners using the Profit Profile already. Is that correct?

This trigger would then need to be improved to allow you to set a specific Profit Profile, not related to any of the profiles for the miners.

Sorry, problem solved: - New setting to force CUDA device order to follow the GPU PCI Bus ID. In case of mixed nVidia GPU models in the same system, this can resolve issues to the GPU selection order.
Thank you, all that is written below is no longer relevant.
Thanks for the update. The new feature to use force the CUDA mining software to use PCI Bus ID order is actually the best setup to have.

The reason why I've not made it default yet is that it may change the device order that users already have configured, and then a new release of Awesome Miner would all of a sudden would instruct the mining software to mine on other GPU's than before.

After stopping mining, the gminer continues to work.
This problem is present if Hide Window is set in the settings of the Environment.
Please fix the bug
Thank.

I use gminer and I've only encountered problems with RTX.

I have one of the rigs with 1070 and 1060, and the error you indicate does not happen to me.

If there is still a problem, it is not from Awesome miner, it is from the miner himself and we will have to wait for an update. Do not blame this program for the faults of a specific miner.

This problem is in an awesome miner. The problem is when the miner window is hidden. When the miner window is visible, everything works correctly.
Awesome miner does not give a command or does not give the correct command to turn off Gminer.
I wasn't able to reproduce this, but it could be some timing thing related to when Awesome Miner terminates the Gminer process and the built-in watchdog in Gminer.

Could you please start Gminer with the watchdog disabled to see if you run into the same problem. You can add the command line:
-w 0

Please let me know the result - thanks!

I found a very serious problem on all my farms in version 6.0
After restarting Avesome’s computer, the miner starts and immediately shuts down. after manual start it works.

I've found the issue that could cause Awesome Miner to shutdown shortly after starting. There will be a 6.0.1 release available very soon.

There is a fake site with the same name with .info at the end.

Those downloads contains WIN32:CoinThief-A [Trj] - dllhostwin.exe, IPD:Generic.8f004ac699ea.3.2 - AwesomeMiner.exe in a .zip file.
Thanks for sharing this information. There have been fake sites in the past as well.

They should however all rank very low on Google so the only way to end up there is to follow a malicious link posted by someone.

CC (coincalculators.io) lately provides incorrect data, you have to write to those who support withdrawing a coin or recalculating
I propose to consider adding CM (coinmarketcap.com) API links below

Public API
https://coinmarketcap.com/api/

Professional API
https://pro.coinmarketcap.com/
Thanks for the suggestions.

Are there only a few specific coins that are incorrect on Coincalculators? Any example?

I've looked a bit at CoinMarketCap not long ago and they lack some coin information like block reward and difficulty, making it impossible to calculate the profitability of mining. I will however keep an eye on this one as it could be a candidate for support in the future.

Patrike, in mining history, are the periods of
15 m
1 hour
1 day
7 days
1 month

You could consider adding 3 days, to have reliable data without having to wait for 7 days
The plan is to have a custom button where you can set any period of time. It will be added in one of the next few releases.

Hi Patrike or any awesome AM users,

We want to do the following, how do I get started?

Miner: Baikal G28

MON-FRI: Profit switching multi-algo at ZPOOL for 18 hours, then mining only GRS at Suprnova for the remaining 6 hours of the day.
SAT-SUN: Renting multi-algo at Nicehash for 18 hours, then to ZPOOL profit switching multi-algo for the remaining 6 hours.

Can I achieve this using AM scripting etc.

Thanks
Hello. Yes, you can use the rules in Awesome Miner to setup a schedule like you suggest.

It will be multiple rules and each rule will use the Time Trigger and then one or more actions. You can see a similar concept "Example: Change mining pool three times per day" here:
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000085907-rules-detect-mining-issues-and-automate-tasks

One way to solve this would be to use three Profit Profiles (one that favors Nicehash, another one for Zpool and a third for GRS), and then use the Rule Action called Apply Profit Profile to control what the profit switcher should select between.

Is it possible to run awesome miner in a docker container, so I don’t have to have a dedicated machine to monitor my Antminers.
I've never tested running Awesome Miner in a docker environment so unfortunately I don't have an answer to this. The Awesome Miner main application is a Windows desktop application and they are in general not working well in containers.

2094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: November 27, 2018, 03:35:00 PM
I have a group for my z9 minis.  In this group occassionaly some of my miners will gave a hashrate reading of Gh/s instead of kh/s.  Of course this is wrong and causes my revenue to shoot up to some unrealistically high value.  All of my z9 minis share the same profit profile and all but about 4 of them work correctly.  The profit profile values are setup correctly with kh/s.  Also this happens to them even when I remove the profit profile from them because it has to do with the hashrate that is being reported in error.  I have removed the miner completely from the system and added it back and it still gives this hashrate error.  From what I can see via the miner status page on the miners themselves it is reporting the correct kh/s reading.  Is this something that needs to be fixed with the software or is there a fix I can perform on my side?
Awesome Miner is making multiple requests to an Antminer to get all information related to the mining. For Z9 miners they incorrectly report the hashrate unit and Awesome Miner needs to detect that it's an Z9 and then change to another unit (kH/s). It's two different requests for getting the hashrate and for figuring out that it's an Antminer Z9 and I think the second one here is failing every now and then.

Can you please go to the Options dialog, Advanced section and either increase the Miner API connection timeout a bit, or try to set "Enable retry". This will make it less likely that an API request to the Antminer is failing and Awesome Miner should detect it as a Z9 all the time.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: November 26, 2018, 03:11:57 PM
@patrike  I was very excited about the Gminer, and after hours and hours, I have come to the conclusion that you have it badly defined

Line that I make through AM

miner.exe  -a 144_5 -s btg.suprnova.cc --port 8866 --pers BgoldPoW -n -1 -u trucobit.rig1 -p patata --api 4028

Line that should be correct
miner.exe --algo 144_5 --pers BgoldPoW --server eu.btgpool.pro --port 1445 --user GZdx44gPVFX7GfeWXA3kyiuXecym3CWGHi.rig0 --pass x --pec

If you see two things in plain sight, -a by --something and -u by --user, --pass   etc...

I tried to put the right thing, but then either repeat it twice or leave a loose. I have tried to change the something in managed sofwtare. I tried to put the complete line in the pool but it puts more text the Gminer configuration

I am therefore unable to configure pools of Zhas or Equihash with this miner. I just got the raw BTCZ test, and the performance is higher.

But I am unable to define other BTG, ZEL and similar currencies. When I have seen that this miner gives more hash than EWBF. Not even Bminer supports it, not in the AW version but in Bitcointalk it is supposed to support 144_5

I hope you can look at it before the next release to correct how Gminer interprets the data, because it does not do well

I have hours and hours. You could do it in the donkey but it does not always work or differ between the different RIGS and then statistics in the pool
The only confusing part I can see is the port specification. I don't know where "--port 8866" came from because Awesome Miner is only adding "-n" (which is the same as "--port") for Gminer. However, the value "-1" looks strange here.

1) Did you manually add "--port 8866"?
2) Can you give me the complete Pool URL that you defined in the properties of this pool and I can investigate if Awesome Miner didn't parse it correctly when splitting the hostname part from the port part? This could by why it produces the value "-1" for some reason. Thanks!

Hi Patrike,

I have another feature request. ;-)

In the benchmark table, when saving the benchmarks for a single algorithm with multiple miners, would it be possible to save each miners benchmark value? At the moment, all the miners get the highest value with the miners with lower values grayed out. This would be useful when a single miner that is currently not the fastest is updated to a new version. One could do a benchmark on just that miner to see if it is now faster than the last time it was benchmarked and faster than the miner that is currently being used without having to benchmark all the miners for that algorithm. It would also be useful when testing various command line settings for a miner. And, if power stats have been enable, it would allow one to see if there are any difference between the various miners.

Thanks,
...jim

I see your point and I've had similar feedback in the past. This can be a future improvement.

Can you please provide links for the direct downloads of the latest release (5.7.11)? I have a remote windows rig that will not auto update the remote agent so need to install it manually. I have no idea why that one Windows rig won't auto-update the agent but I have just been doing it manually through TeamViewer so need the link to install it. Thanks!
