2081  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdowns for those who haven't had the pseudo-vaccine. on: November 19, 2021, 12:10:21 AM
If they refuse the vaccine that's on them, but if it'll save someone's life, 500 USD is a small price to pay (or whatever it might cost).

It's literally in the title of the article you posted ($5b for 10m treatments).

Merck version (which does things to RNA so that's gonna be another tasty anti-vax pretzel) is ~$700 per treatment.
2082  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdowns for those who haven't had the pseudo-vaccine. on: November 18, 2021, 09:42:06 PM
The pills are already here, many are just going through the trials and could be available to the public market within months if they end up being safe and get passed by the oversight organizations that deal with public health in whatever country needs the therapeutics.

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/us-govt-buy-10-mln-courses-pfizers-covid-19-pill-529-bln-2021-11-18/

Pfizer has their own pill the US signed a contract for. I don't remember the active ingredient but it's not anything new from what I remember. 89 effectiveness in reducing hospitalization or death, that is higher than some vaccines.

Refuse a $20 vaccine for a tenfold chance to give $500 to Big Pharma... can't wait for the usual suspects to bake a pretzel about this.
2083  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Would anyone want a wallet with geofencing? on: November 18, 2021, 12:06:05 AM
~

Still, I think it's such a narrow use case and basically only protects me from my own idiocy. Not keeping much money on the phone protects against most problems, or if I must (haven't really needed in 7+ years of using bitcoins but whatever) have a larger amount maybe use a separate wallet for it, with a strong password that I won't remember when I'm drunk.
2084  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Would anyone want a wallet with geofencing? on: November 17, 2021, 11:06:58 PM
What would it protect against? Sounds kinda complicated too, and prone to Google/Apple fucking something up and holding your money hostage. Edit: if the attacker has access to your phone they can install a location spoofer so I think geofencing at the wallet level would be useless.

I think it's easier to just treat it like cash and don't keep more money on your phone than you would benjamins in your pocket.

I'm glad all flux capacitors are aligned again this week Smiley

Off by about two billion nanoseconds... you should get your money back from whatever sketchy tire&mufler shop did the alignment.

we are using HEX code of the wallet ( a new procedure that is not yet discovered )

Sounds like bullshit. Which is probably a good thing, could make it less likely for people to fall for whatever scam you're attempting here.

Dogecoin miner eh? From your username, I never would have guessed...lol

Touché.

Remember these ponzi scammers?. I made a killing off this fake pool.

Ah yes. Never used them though.

The username originated from when I was mining through middlecoin pool so wasn't really getting paid actual doge but made a few nice bitcoins, which I obviously wasted on misguided hardware purchases. Then mined doge solo for a while. I think this was before it merged with LTC, my memory is a bit fuzzy on the timing, but I don't have a ton of LTC so it must have been before. Anyway, doge is arguably the granddaddy of real shitcoins (as opposed to merely altcoins) so it holds a special place in my heart.

Smokerfok: Look here's the address of accounts whose bitcoin addresses were used as inputs to a single address and it took me less than 30 sec to figure that out.....

Unless Decrypted is your alt, I don't really see what you're bragging about here but whatever floats your dinghy.

By the way, in case any of you guys want to "own" a piece of the Green Bay Packers, they're selling "stock" certificates for the first time since 2011.  (The words "own" and "stock" are in quotes because you don't actually own any stocks...  Read the fine print.)

It's more like buying merchandise except wearing a jersey doesn't mean you're prohibited from criticizing the NFL:

The NFL Rules prohibit conduct by shareholders of NFL member clubs that is detrimental to the NFL, including, among
other things, owning a financial interest in any other NFL member club or other professional football organization; loaning
money to other NFL member clubs or any player, coach or employee thereof or any football official employed by the
NFL; acting as an agent for any NFL player; publicly criticizing any NFL member club or its management, employees or
coaches or any football official employed by the NFL; paying an NFL player or coach; or serving as an officer or director
or otherwise participating in the management of a sports gambling operation. NFL Rules apply as they exist on the date
hereof and as they may be modified by the NFL. If the Commissioner of the NFL (the “Commissioner”) decides that a
shareholder of an NFL member club has been guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the NFL then, among other
things, the Commissioner has the authority to fine such shareholder up to $500,000 and/or require such shareholder
to sell his or her stock. In certain circumstances, the Commissioner has greater disciplinary authority. The NFL may
also vote to require additional discipline. If the Commissioner requires a shareholder to sell his or her stock, then the
Corporation may have a right to repurchase the stock at $0.025 per share.
2090  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdowns for those who haven't had the pseudo-vaccine. on: November 16, 2021, 02:38:18 PM
We have data from some EU countries that more than 50% of people who received 2 doses ended up in hospitals

That's not true, at all. ~50% of hospitalized patients being the ones who are vaccinated is totally different from what you just said. And also doesn't mean that vaccines are not effective, quite the contrary, because:

Quote
About 90 per cent of the adult population has received a full course of vaccination, either two doses or one. People are considered fully vaccinated one week after their second dose of Pfizer vaccine, or two weeks after receiving any of the other three authorised vaccines.

For every vaccinated person requiring admission to hospital with a breakthrough infection, vaccines avert 10 to 12 other severe infections and hospital admissions, Prof Philip Nolan of the National Public Health Emergency Team estimated last month.

If the vaccines were not effective, ~90% of hospitalized patients would be the vaccinated ones (and the total number of hospitalizations obviously would be much higher). The fact that 90% (vaccinated) account for half of hospitalizations and the other ~10% (unvaccinated) account for the other half of hospitalizations shows the effectiveness of the vaccines, i.e. all other things being equal unvaccinated are ~9 times more likely to end up in a hospital with COVID.

Manager is probably new on Bitcointalk. I think he need to see it directly in the trust section..

LOL

Sockpuppeting "new" manager needs to see proof of sockpuppeting in their scammy campaign. You need to share what you're smoking.

What is this? The Rams secondary appear to be choosing the wrong day hehe. I am only checking the score on Yahoosports app. How did they allow Samuel to the rushing touchdown? 11 more points for the Mooncoiners and he will win this.

Yeah niners are continuing "the underdog beats the dog" theme of the last two weeks. Unfortunately (or fortunately for you) I hedged this one so I'll be likely screwed if Rams don't get into the field goal range a few times.

Edit: I take it back, Rams can pack it up and go home, I don't need them anymore. Deebo FTW.

Edit2: Let's take a moment to recognize Hueristic's valiant effort that has come to the inevitable mathematical conclusion. Cows still have a chance - need to win the remaining 4 games and need one of the 6-4 teams to lose their remaining 4.

You are an idiot or are good at pretending to be one (I'll let you choose)

You posted someone else's quote from another thread. Still no coherent thought of your own. What are the 5 accounts? What did they they do and what do you expect to happen here?

Also let's not forget that you're sockpuppeting yourself but your response to a blockchain link between your accounts was:

making stories up

Not that hypocrisy is even in the top 10 of shitty things you do on this forum.
2094  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alts in 1xBit campaign on: November 15, 2021, 08:23:44 PM
Aside from OP's reputation, has anyone looked into his claims?  Judge the accusation on the facts, not the accuser's past--it's hard to do sometimes, but it's the logical step, right?  I'd do it myself, but I'm off to get a triple venti something-or-other that will hopefully wake my ass up.

Claims of what? It's not clear what the OP is even alleging here ("someone else can do the naming, I'm not in the mood..." LOL).

If he gets the "mood" and posts something coherent then let's take a look.
2095  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alts in 1xBit campaign on: November 15, 2021, 04:43:01 PM
You should stop promoting a scam instead of polluting this forum with useless shit. Everyone who cares already knows that 1xbit campaign is full of fucknuts like coinism or yourself.

What happened to the sob story you posted a while ago? Rhetorical question, don't bother.

Look at the bright side - you still have one guy to play.
2097  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Rename the "Press" board to "Spammer of the Month" board on: November 14, 2021, 09:32:42 PM
Is it possible we're simply leaving the door wide open for shit topics because we're not making enough good ones?

This shouldn't be a competition. Shit topics shouldn't exist. If good topics don't exist either then we have a dead board, no big deal but at least we know there is no interest. Now it's not clear if there is no interest, or if good posters are discouraged to step into the pile of shit.

Keep in mind that producing shit is much easier than producing non-shit so you can't really win against shit on any kind of pseudo-level playing field.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 14, 2021, 09:08:52 PM
WTF

There's a lot of those this weekend... WFT WTFed Bucs. Patriots crushed Browns. Lions in overtime with Steelers.

Edit: Cam Newton scoring a TD with a penalty in the first few minutes of the game probably qualifies too LOL.
2099  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Rename the "Press" board to "Spammer of the Month" board on: November 14, 2021, 07:59:23 PM
But there is another reason why admins might be looking the other way.
The forum culture is generally dying out. People don't want to write on online forums as much as they did before. The press board (spammy as it is) still generates traffic in the same way that the altcoin boards do. The admins might not be willing to put another nail in the coffin by deleting a massive amount of threads in the altcoin and press boards and start banning more people. After all, "all publicity is good publicity".

I doubt that this helps the forum. It gives backlinks and therefore possibly some search engine boost to those "news" sites but seems unlikely to work the other way. I tried googling some of the titles from the Press board and in many cases Bitcointalk is not in the results and sure as shit none of those sites will link to Bitcointalk.

Thats awesome, why would I need the new TE I just used my waiver 1 for! Smiley

It's fine, Rudolph (not to be confused with the reindeer) has to throw to someone, might as well be the F guy (what's going on with Pittsburgh and unpronounceable unspellable names).
