2081  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin After The FED Cuts Interest Rate! on: August 04, 2019, 06:46:23 PM
This would be connected if majority of the investors here are holding a significant amount of Bitcoin which isn't the case, still the crypto market isn't that a big of a market in terms of the number of investors they have, so even if the feds cuts or even increase interest rates you wouldn't see a big connection on how it had contributed to the price of Bitcoin. It doesn't really show any connection whatsoever, its just a mere coincidence that all the media outlets we have are taking advantage of and unfortunately they are misleading a lot of us.
2082  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC LIMITS on: August 04, 2019, 05:44:52 PM
I only see two ways on how you can buy Bitcoin that much one is from exchanges and two is from localbitcoin sellers. In crypto exchanges it would heavily depend on the level of verification you have on how much you can cash in and out of their exchange, the thing is you will be the one who will handle matching the prices of what you want. Localbitcoins are much more convenient but it is riskier especially if we are talking about big transactions since you will be dealing directly with a third party seller, maybe having a escrow is advisable in this kinds of transactions since its your only guarantee that it won't fall back.
2083  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-30]Craig Wright: I don’t Worry About Government Taking over Bitcoin on: August 01, 2019, 08:41:27 PM
If he means Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general will be controlled in terms of proper regulation then I am also with him. Its our only way to be generally accepted by the community and our desire for mass adoption would go straightforward from that point on. For a man who has a strong ambition to be Nakamoto I think this is one of his statements that I won't laugh at.
2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: August 01, 2019, 08:03:12 PM
Floyd's undefeated record vs Manny Pacquiao's 8 division belt, which do you think is harder to accomplished?  Grin.

There’s a lot of undefeated boxer in the history of boxing like Julio Cesar Chavez SR with having a standing of 89 wins and 0 losses, but until he makes a total of 115 fights before he retired 6 of that fights he got defeated. Still he accomplished more than from what Mayweather accomplished today.

Manny Pacquiao was the only 8 division world boxer and a truly living Legend. Cheesy
Even Robert Garcia stated that its much harder to be a champion on eight different weight classes compared to being a 50-0 undefeated boxer. A coach who have been known to be against Pacquiao (He sided with Thurman picking him to win against Manny) have even agreed on that fact so I don't think you could argue with that. Oh and By the way Floyd was never an undefeated boxer he also experience a lost during his amateur career so I couldn't call him a true undefeated boxer.
2085  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to exchange BTC currency to PayPal? on: August 01, 2019, 07:23:04 PM
I would discard every single option other than Coinbase. Elsewhere the risks are too high or the costs on top will be high. Some places are mentioning Changex but I've never heard of it myself. If Coinbase is accessible to you then it's a no brainer.

I don't know but I think some sellers in LocalBitcoins can also be a trusted way to sell your Bitcoin with Paypal. I know that transactions are reversible there but the thing is you can always go for the most trusted one so that you are assured that the Paypal fund will be sent to you. Comparing the rates also you won't have that kind of liberty in Coinbase as you don't have any choice aside from what they are already offering.
2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake trade volumes on: August 01, 2019, 04:46:45 PM
It's the exchange platform that has control over order book and trading volume so they are the ones who manipulate it.

Why you might ask? simply to become more visible in Coinmarketcap and also popular. Being popular means the exchange could charge more money to list coins and also means potential new users.
He might have a point on when the developers are the ones matching theirbown Bids and Asks in the crypto exchange. This is possible if they are also the only ones participating in that trade. It's similar to crypto exchanges faling the volume but the guilty ones here are the developera itself. You cannot really trust every data you see online as they can easily be faled to manipulate people, that is why if you don't want to be victims of fake volume you should always stay away from unreputable exchanges.
2087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Inching Closer To $10,000 on: August 01, 2019, 03:42:10 PM
It already visited 10,000$ several times already as after the 400$ rally we have it is now consolidating in the 9,900$ level to 10,000$ level although I see that this consolidation stage for Bitcoin will be shortlived as Bitcoin might attempt to ho up anytime soon now judging by how many times it got back up anove 10,000$ level. Aside from that Bitcoin is looking more and more bullish ever since it has risen from 9k, so I'll expect to have abig play soon from Bitcoin.
2088  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell regarding this Trading Chart? on: July 31, 2019, 08:25:03 PM
If you would just have provided a little bit of more information about the chart. You didn't even mention the EMAs use in your chart and aside from that you only have the volume as an indicator, you just basically provided a screenshot of ORS/BTC's price chart with really nothing on it. We cannot really tell anything just by looking at it.  Technical analysis is something sensitive so you should have at least provided your own analysis so we could have tackled it properly.
2089  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How profit from Bitcoin will be taxed in India? on: July 31, 2019, 04:36:46 PM
I don't think that there is really a lot of options for the Indian cryptocurrency industry when it comes to what they can declare as their crypto earnings, the difficult part their is determining whether or not the income they earned is legal or not because if they declared something illegal then they would definitely be charged with a crime. Right now only capital gains is the only thing I see as a legal way to earn in crypto in that country.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 31, 2019, 02:55:17 PM
^  Sarri prolly thinks he can do better in trying to improve Lukaku than he could do with Dybala...?  Still both are somewhat young.  There's still bit time for them to improve their game and make some sort of break through.

I hope the trade happens just because I wanna see Dybala at the EPL.  And Lukaku could do better cos of the weaker opposition at Serie A.

Anyway guys, I changed the poll.  Please vote.  Grin
Sarri might still think that Premier League players are better than Serie A players that is why he thinks a forward like Lukaku can be a star in the league. I doubt that will happen on everyone as proven by a lot of flop big transfers made by Serie A teams, they either end up wasting their money or overpaying a subpar player. I just wish that they keep Dybala instead as he is really valuable for the team.
2091  Other / Meta / Re: search engine optimization for local boards on: July 30, 2019, 08:24:16 PM
I tought local board moderators were in charge of those kind of translations already....
As far as I know moderators in the local sections don't have permission to edit the titles of the local sections, and they have the same permissions as normal moderators. They can only delete, and move. They can also only nuke certain users. Global moderators still handle bans for those that can't be nuked, and temporary bans.

Local section moderators can probably create stickies, but when it comes to SEO that will likely be a admin related permission.

You are probably right, if local mods can do it then OP wouldn't brought this up in the meta section in the first place. I know back then that local mods are not even allowed to create their own childboard within their local board and big changes like that for the local board should be brought up to the admins. It's the same thing for this title change as simpley they don't have the power to do so.
2092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning! Be careful with messages that receive money on: July 30, 2019, 07:12:52 PM
Just by looking at the email address of the sender you will see it's not coming from Paypal. What you need to be more aware of are the ones with the convincing ones which are way too similar to the official email address as if you aren't used to opening up emails from your financial accounts you would barely see the difference. You should always ask yourself why did you have that refund if you haven't transacted with them in the first place or why you have won a prize when you aren't joining any contests. People are way to jolly when they see money coming in they forget to the fact that their is a big chance it's fake.
That's not always the case. There are ways you can spoof the sender email and make it look completely legit.

See: https://lifehacker.com/how-spammers-spoof-your-email-address-and-how-to-prote-1579478914

What you need to do is:

1. always manually go to the website and see what is happening for yourself, rather than clicking on the email link; or
2. copying everything on the link after the main domain, writing it yourself and pasting the remaining link; and
3. ALWAYS triple-check the URL.
Yes that's really the way on catching them because you cannot fake a real website's URL, if they can trick you with their email you must not be fooled by their fake website URL. That's the beauty of having domain names being unique. Aside from you being knowledgeable about the domain name you must also check for the other security features such as the padlock icon and security badges (like Norton and McAfee below their page) for the website for you know to that it's the real website you are visiting in.
2093  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bounty cheater on: July 30, 2019, 06:26:49 PM
It's simple, if the bounty campaign you join in says “no multiple accounts allowed in this campaign” but you still applied with your two accounts you simply cheated it.  Even without them telling it directly to the thread its a simple rule used by many bounty managers for anlong time now in the forum. Just admit it that you and your alt account are cheating a bounty campaign or hide stay silent together with your “he's my friend” story.
2094  Economy / Speculation / Re: Significant Sudden Move on BTC Price on: July 30, 2019, 04:46:21 PM
I cannot say that a 2% price increase is something out of the ordinary, we did experience 9,600$ to 9,700$ last two to three days ago and. It cannot clarify anything that this consolidation is over and we may still very well be in the consolidation stages. Maybe we could start the talks of another good bull run when BTC goes back up above 10,000$ and starts a breakout around that area.
2095  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Replace Banks? on: July 29, 2019, 09:13:19 PM
Why can blockchain replace banks if banks are already trying to implement them with their system? Remember blockchain is just a technology and can be use by anyone who wants to implement it with their organization or business. A lot of companies are already filing their patents for their own version of blockchain so I doubt that one kind of tech could kill a certain industry when they are already part of it.
2096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption: First Ever Bitcoin Movie Storms Chinese Cinemas In October on: July 29, 2019, 08:26:15 PM
Just watched the trailer and at first I thought it was defaming Bitcoin more but now its the other way around. Its a movie against banks and for cryptocurrency, its like the movie wants us to realize something that banks are profiting from our own money and Bitcoin and blockchain have found a way to slow them down. I would love to watch it but I am not used to watching at the same time reading subtitles, hoping they will realease a English-dubbed version for their international viewers.

2098  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for ideas to make bitcoin betting website more popular on: July 29, 2019, 06:49:27 PM
One thing I know that will make your customers go up is assuring that your existing ones are having a good time with your website. You should not always focus about the in-game mechanics but also focus more on giving up contests and events that would make your loyal gamblers happy. The more they are happy the more chances you have that they will invite friends to play in your website. Just focus on retaining them and you'll see that your gamblers will grow in number.
2099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 29, 2019, 06:01:22 PM
MILAN lost to BENFICA in pre-season matches
According to Pepe Reina, Milan really doesn't deserve to lose, because the game played against BENFICA was very good even though the results were bad.
Milan recorded capable of winning possession 58 percent by releasing six shots on goal from 15 experiments. Benfica has 42 percent possession and eight shots on goal from 19 trials.

GOOD MILAN is getting better ...

It's a pre-season game I don't think that any team is serious when playing just in the pre-season especially when the health of their players are on the line. Based from my experience pre-season games are just like a pick-up match to test out their new tactics, and Milan having a new coach would see it beneficial playing against a world class team. Milan won't even compete in Europe this season so they might just as well focus more on winning Serie A games when the season starts.
2100  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-26] The IRS is warning thousands of cryptocurrency holders to pay taxes on: July 28, 2019, 09:02:53 PM
I guess the mandatory requirement for registered exchanges requiring them to submit transaction records of their customers are really paying off. That's the only way they know that these citizens are holding and earning cryptocurrencies.  View it as violation of privacy but taxes are taxes and its their obligation to pay it, with a disturbing amount reaching to thousamds of people I think they should be alarmed that the IRS are always on their radar, it's either they comply or the the whole US crypto industry suffer the consequences.
