2101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phishing email from Namecheap on: February 14, 2023, 02:01:42 PM
I wonder how a hacker could hack into a well-known service provider's email and still use it for the kind of scam a school kid could think of? At least he was using a service related to the company, such as resetting your email, writing down the password for your account, your website IP or anything that could be trusted.

All users should be careful when clicking on the email and reviewing whether there has been a hack or not?
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 14, 2023, 01:52:28 PM
I am thinking that the Volatile is what makes bitcoin a must have for almost everybody, think I am wrong?
And people won't see a reason to buy Bitcoin if there were no Volatility from day one.
There is a difference between use and investment. The currency can be stable and still people use it. An example of this is stablecoins, but no one invests in USDT unless it saves the value of another investment, and so on.

As for the answer to your question, as long as there is interest in something, people will continue to use it, and assuming that the price of bitcoin will be stable, people will probably continue to use it due to the cheap fees compared to other methods.

Volatility is good for those who want to trade, the increase in value in the long term is what distinguishes Bitcoin more than volatility.
2103  Other / Meta / Re: What's AI Written Post? on: February 14, 2023, 01:17:43 PM
The purpose of posts in the forum is to share knowledge, and therefore, no matter how little or advanced your knowledge is, your asking questions and trying to learn is beneficial to the forum in general. Either the use of artificial intelligence or any methods will not enhance the quality of discussions, and therefore it is closer to scam than being a useful thing.

So it's not just about payments and signature

2105  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to BTC price if the US defaults? on: February 14, 2023, 12:31:16 PM
There are rumors that the US will default on its national debt soon.
This will not happen, do you know why? Because this is how the financial system works, being a global reserve currency means that your debts will be paid by all countries, not the United States, so they will print more and the debt ceiling will increase.

The US Dollar will no longer be the world's reserve currency after the US defaults, so I wonder what will hapoen with BTC's market price after that? Will it rise like skyrocket? Or will it fall for good? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
If this happens, Bitcoin is the last thing to worry about because this means that the Third World War has come and the victor will change the current features of the world.

US defaults does not necessarily mean an increase in the price of Bitcoin, but rather the failure of the current central systems.
2106  Economy / Services / Re: Vcc for PayPal until 2027 on: February 14, 2023, 11:59:04 AM
What were you buying form him that costed $400?

Based on this topic, the reason is to btc to usdt exchange. I do not know why this user chose him among the thousands of ways to convert Bitcoin to USDT safely, but there may be another reason.

He did not give us more details, but it is better to avoid dealing with the user until we are sure that he is a scammer.

we did btc to usdt exchange with this user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3532285

same second btc transaction was confirmed he is gone online and not responding to telegram.
Soon i will be uploading whole chat and tx id.
400USD is huge money for me and to my family.
Thanks for reading and be warned

2107  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: باكسوس قيد التحقيق on: February 14, 2023, 11:37:20 AM

2108  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blender.io = Sinbad.io | Thoughts? on: February 13, 2023, 08:07:09 PM
Quote
There are signs the same people might be behind Sinbad and Blender.io, Elliptic said. For example, before Sinbad was launched officially, its wallet received bitcoin from a wallet “believed to be controlled by the operator of Blender.” The founders might have been testing the new service, Elliptic suggested.
All of them are based on speculations, but there are no clear connections. I expected stronger evidence, but it is the tip of the thread for information that is difficult to be verified by ordinary people.

However, it does not seem that the Elliptic themselves are sure of the information because they did not give strong evidence, and all of them are attempts to link them to Russia or the context of what is happening in the war.
2109  Other / Meta / Re: Forum PM feature adjustment on: February 13, 2023, 02:36:37 PM
I think that such feature are deeply basic in Simple Machines Forum and it is difficult to change them without a complete change of the version, perhaps they will be better PM system in the next update that no one knows when it will be.

You can speed up your search by clicking on this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=search and copying the entire quoted text.
Use telegram for fast responses, and PM for sign/verify messages
2110  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why no Type 3 or even type 2 against Yogg. on: February 13, 2023, 02:28:52 PM
Isn't the positive trust supposed to be deleted when someone scamming? Or at least in Yogg's case, I'm seeing a lot of his positive trust because of the Coldkey purchase.
even some DT members gave him negative trust and positive one still exists Huh
2111  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What happens when USA KYc is used on Binance international? on: February 13, 2023, 09:05:56 AM
If a binance (non US) account becomes locked behind a KYC wall and the user provides US KYC docs what happens? Anyone tested? Thanks
Contact Binance support if you have not used VPN or tried in any way to use your account as if you are not a US citizen, your chance will increase if you have not logged in since they updated their terms of service.

They will just put your account into withdrawal mode and you will not be able to use .com for trading again.
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens on: February 13, 2023, 08:24:28 AM
So, the main question is that Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens? or it is good for a very certain time of investment?

At the present time, and in times of uncertainty, fear prevails over the market, and therefore it is difficult to find real or sustainable financial flows for a period, and therefore all new currencies have a cash reserve that you use as liquidity. This liquidity leads to an increase in the currency price in the short term, but it soon ends and the currency returns to zero again.

This what will happen:

Wait until liquidity becomes available in the market and then greed will take over.
2113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In need of good trading teaching video link for beginner on: February 13, 2023, 08:12:19 AM
Sorry but, I don't really get you.
How do you mean trading isn't something you learn on Channels?
YouTube channels do not teach you, they are closer to self-motivation videos, a group of people telling you that trading is easy and that you can make a quick profit from trading, draw some charts and you will get rich quickly soon, while trading is the last thing you will think about as a beginner. If you do not have technical knowledge, you will not predict the future of currencies, no matter how professional you are in trading.

YouTube channels are the last place to learn cryptocurrency trading
2114  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: HODL Wallet for BTC on: February 13, 2023, 07:51:35 AM
Does anyone on here use? I think it’s great and a very simple user face. Please let me know if you are using this app. Perfect free app / place to store a small amount of funds. I always recommend for newbies.
I've read some comments here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.hodlwallet&hl=en_IN&gl=US
Many complain about synchronization problems, it takes from half an hour to several days, I do not know which servers they use, but it seems to be a problem with that wallet, so when was the last time you used it?

They have some unsolved bug and app keep crashing with some options
2115  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: باكسوس قيد التحقيق on: February 13, 2023, 07:40:10 AM

2116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do you check feedbacks score of traders? on: February 12, 2023, 04:08:57 PM
Without reading these ratings, you will most likely rely on luck to find a good trader, and if you are not lucky, you will be scammed.

I focus on negative feedback and how to respond to them more than positive one, and if a user has 100%, this is a bad indicator, especially if the number of transactions is large.

Well, solving these problems will determine the extent of trust in him.
2117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some important threads on: February 12, 2023, 04:01:56 PM
Without these posts being included in a welcome message, all efforts will not be effective. If the user can search for useful topics, he will definitely find them. Scheduling these topics will facilitate this process, but we are talking about users who do not have any knowledge of the forum and therefore it is difficult for them to find these topics, let alone I read it.

You may need to use these tables codes to make it easy to access to those topics. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5265782.0
2118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In need of good trading teaching video link for beginner on: February 12, 2023, 03:46:33 PM
Trading is not something that you learned in cryptocurrency channels, so I advise you to read economics, technical analysis indicators, and then watch YouTube channels to learn how to use the tools available in your account.

In short, any course that talks about Tradingview and is not related to cryptocurrency would be ideal for a start.
After learning the basics, make your own way, as the rest depends on your ability to control yourself, and some of these programs may be useful to you https://bitsgap.com/demo-trading
2119  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Electronic devices that can detect wrong wallet on: February 12, 2023, 03:24:55 PM
I want to ask if it's possible to create a device that detect wrong wallet address
It is easy to build something like contact to bitcoin address converter where you can write the name of your friend or from your contact, and then when click on send it sends to his address directly, and some wallets have a tag known as Label Name, you can add your friend’s name there and before sending, write it instead of writing the Bitcoin address.

you can export labels and import it.

Hence it is easy to build an electronic device accordingly, it will not only be a wrong address, but an unknown address.
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin full node on: February 12, 2023, 02:44:07 PM
What exactly do you mean by not working? What error message did you get when you ran bitcoin-cli -getinfo?

I think what he's trying to say is that he watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbG7hBMWQrs
then he opened CMD and wrote bitcoin-cli -getinfo and it didn't work for him.

Watch it as 0:36 Second.

@OP Why would you want to run a full node connected to Tor? If you do not know what you are doing or are not good at dealing with commands, then watching such videos will not enhance your privacy unless you have technical knowledge.
