Looks like the R9 280X are the FASTEST GPUs out there.
Once again they are the KING of mining!!
Long live the 7950, 7970, 280X.
Even faster than my R9 290 & RX 470.
Glad I didn't sell these to get the RX 470/RX480.
i'm glad too, these were my scrypt mining rigs, lived up until equihash if these will perform at par with 470's and 480's mid-long term, i'm going for shopping a spree for these cheap 280x's

44 sols on my rx 480 and 49 sols on fury
i hope there is more hash increase in these new generation cards as claymore improve this Zcash miner.
Claymore Zcash miner almost doubled my sols in my windows mining rigs..well done!

280x's @ 45 sols haha
|
|
|
390's @ 50-53 sols hahaha

you're the man

i7 is not obsolete. Thats a very expensive laptop you got there.
Intel Core 2 Duo, now that's obsolete.
right, i didn't bother mining ZEC on my core 2 quads in my mining rigs...i think it gets only about 0.1 sols while my gpu's aren't heating up, hopefully claymore will max them out in time.

Really no point in this miner since with Silentarmy V3 on linux you can get 40Sol/s currently with the 290/390. With some tweaking OC you can get 45Sol/s probably. So with his 5% dev fee, you will most likely net the exact same amount.
I doubt Claymore can get more than 40-50 Sols with the RX 470/480 which you are currently getting with Silentarmy V3 for linux.
since we don't all use Linux we need the Claymore miner now more then ever for WINDOWS! that's what i'm seeing too...linux miners got the edge in mining ZEC right now, Claymore will hopefully level the playing field.

Good news: I'm going to release my ZEC miner in a few hours so all ZEC-related discussion will move to new thread finally Bad news: I was not reach 100h/s on 390 in this version. I'm going to improve speed, but people want to have miner asap so I will release it as is, about 50h/s on stock 390X. I don't like to hurry so further improvements will be added later. few hours..

@ AriesIV10
i think your two case fans (beside the motherboard) should direct air the other way, from external air -> cpu-board -> gpus.. besides the hot air from the cards will likely be sucked in by the PSU too.

FUCKING YES!I'll wait...i don't care if i sleep very late tonight or early morning Latest Silent army release, which is free, without a fee, does 50 as well.. isn't that something? How stable is it? The real key for a lot of people - is it available on doze? right, i'm stable using zcashclient with *.bat loops, but my 390's are only @ 27 sols ... willing to pay a fee with ~ 50 sols on my 390's now, i think genoil and zcashclient hasn't updated yet to the latest Silent army. (windows miner here btw) i was literally almost sleepless for two days before i got it stable on my miners LOL.

it's been a while since i checked on this thread..i didn't know this is a ZCASH thread now LOL will be watching this too

zcashgpuclient with *.bat loops is stable for my rigs.
for me zcashgpuclient is more stable than genoil.
i'm curious too about 470 performance in zcash mining..i'm considering 470's in my next purchase if that gpu is very good at zcash (price-performance wise).

The loop trick doesn't work too well, the thing crashes 2 min after the restart so one hour idle afterwards. A waste of time. you can adjust the time, there are other problems in your rig, 2 mins is too short.

|
|
what's different zcashgpuclient.exe between zcashgpuclient_silentarmy.exe?
zcashgpuclient_silentarmy more sols than other! zcashgpuclient_silentarmy crashes on my 280x's but stable on zcashgpuclient

i bet that lady prosecutor have a bitcointalk account/s, hovering and snooping around here
|
|
|
i bet claymore was paid to not release this
that's a possibility..he was like the chuck norris of miner developers. the others made miners already and he was, like missing the action.

come on Claymore, save me from sleep deprivation with these unstable miners LOL
I know, have to restart every 10 minutes or so.... Put it on a loop using a BAT file. thanks for the heads up....i'm gonna have a nice loooong sleep later, just waiting for sleepiness to kick in again zcashclient works for me, pretty stable on my 280x's run for hours and hours (to be safe i loop it at 2hrs), my .bat loops perfectly .. genoil miner for me is too unstable the program error (doesn't run after the loop) and the 0 sols errors kinda fucks up the looping processes.

so 3 days passed and no miner. maybe claymore will not release but mine himself?
still good - he deserves it.
releasing claymore's zcash miner will tremendously increase his hashrate (coming from the "fee"), it is more beneficial to him if he release the miner rather than use it himself.
