2101  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrencies are not harmful for economy on: July 28, 2019, 08:18:21 PM
Still really depends though. If cryptocurrencies are a good part of the economy all the related entities within the industry will provide financial improvements for both the citizens and the government. But if illegal things are contributing more with that activity such as tax evasion and money laundering the benefit of it will be different and thats only for the select few which won't really be beneficial for the whole economy. Cryptocurrencies are neutral but they start to go to a different spectrum once they are used depending on what way.

Illegal things don't hurt the economy! You have to realize that usually it's the law that does it.
Unbound economy controls itself. It doesn't need laws from the outside as these laws usually hinder its ability to keep itself in balance. To give you an example, when there's not enough apples on the market the price grows and people start thinking of ways to get more apples. They buy land, import from other countries, hire workers to tend their orchards because with the higher prices they can afford it. If you put laws that forbid people to import or you tax them more on their product you throw everything off balance. They get discouraged from investing in apples and suddenly there is no way to satisfy the demand.

When you make something illegal you only increase its value and it's never the fault of a currency that it's used to buy illegal goods.

I think you are only assuming that all kinds of governments don't work or they are some kind of corrupt circle hindering the development of a country. But the truth is if we elect the right officials the only thing left are the criminals finding loopholes and illegal ways within the system which also affects the general public. Let's not pretend that money laundering and tax evasion is some sort of political justice here its more of a selfish motive done by a person. All people needs to pay their taxes and its not right that they are using cryptocurrencies to get away with it.
2102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do traders make more money than holders? on: July 28, 2019, 07:07:29 PM
Just to give my two cents with the argument. From what I know early adopters or the ones who have bought and mined Bitcoin during its early stages are the most likely to be the one who are called whales now. They are not called early adopters for no reason then believing in Bitcoin during its time when nobody even knows about it. They became instant millionaires just by hodling it for 9 years and have made more compared to any stocks in any market today. But if we are talking about the general people here it still varies on each trader and nobody really has an edge to anyone as it depends o  what they really earn from it.
2103  Other / Meta / Re: Merit awarding on: July 28, 2019, 05:33:45 PM
Merits aren't like acitivity points where you earn them passively by just posting and being online the forum, its what really prevents account farmers from ranking up their accounts easily. Merits is something being rewarded when someone sends it to you, and that depends highly on your post quality some even look back at your post history before they even give you one so you might want to fovus more on improving your quality rather then expect on earning them each time you post.
2104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Think of Bitcoin Financially on: July 28, 2019, 11:10:08 AM
Love how you introduced or promote your service to analyze Bitcoin but I really don't buy it. The OP talks Bitcoin more of its economical side rather than talk about its technical side which already gives me a hint that you will just talk about demand and supply when they avail your services. Talking about demand and supply is the most inaccurate way to forecast the price of Bitcoin specially when its a volatile asset compared to others no one really knows the exact target price for it as things could easily shift with just one FOMO or FUD.

2106  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Agrees to Pay $5 Billion, BUT will they ever stop? on: July 25, 2019, 09:00:20 PM
With them having a recent case loss I think all eyes are on them especially the ones who are handling the topic of Libra. I'm pretty sure with their own kind of cryptocurrency the government wouldn't allow them to add an extra set of feet in by putting a lot of privacy violation with their Libra. They might even go as far on changing the whole Facebook interface on what users can show and what they cannot show, before even touching the subject on how Libra will be implemented in their website.
2107  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Good news to crypto:Coinbase has passed 30million users this month on: July 25, 2019, 08:20:16 PM
Coinbase is developing rapidly. Perhaps their exchange will become one of the most popular soon.
Point of correction. Coinbase is among the top crypto currency exchange site with advanced security, platform, transaction etc. Besides, is one of the most popular and well knew exchange site with genuine users. However, I don't want you to rely on CMC ranking of exchange site cause there are some exchange which was once accused of fake volume.
It's crap and it doesn't deserve to be, they just marketed themselves well in the US. Coinbase always purposely stops working correctly during any run of either way so they can take advantage of the situation, they essentially did insider trading with altcoins that they were adding and they are the worst support. Seriously, they suck.

Just let it go dude, they don't know what they are talking about and they are just going with the post. How can a crypto-wallet who can't even give you your private keys be number 1? Sure they can take the top spot for the mainstream users but Coinbase isn't really the best out there if you are looking at the best value for your cryptocurrencies.
2108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to secure your Recovery seed or Mnemonic phrase? on: July 25, 2019, 07:36:14 PM
With these days writing it in paper wouldn't be enough to keep it safe for long, I myself would advice not just writing/printing it down and put it on a random shelf because you will never know when things will be misplaced all of a sudden, that is why I advice you to store it in a special storage like a safe or even a security box from banks so you know its really protected from any kind of theft or misplacement. Also lets not be too literal here not just put it on paper but also protect the paper itself maybe with a folder or laminate the paper yourself.
2109  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Digital Wishing Well on: July 25, 2019, 06:40:26 PM
Congratulations, you just played yourself. What it looks like to me is just did a reverse faucet for the users, which is more like a passive income for you. You should be ashamed of yourself trying to fool people that your wishing well program serves a purpose but the truth is you are just serving yourself with the money they'll give to your digital wishing well. Just don't try to fool people with your fake service, I have to admit its funny at first but I can see the scam right in front of it.
2110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: July 25, 2019, 04:21:06 PM
Isn't Mayweather out of the picture already when he signed that contract with Japan? He is only interested with money now and he can only get it in exhibition matches to get that  that kind of money. If he wasn't exciting to watch when he was still fighting actively I doubt he will be when he unretire. Terrence Crawford is also out of the picture as he is a top rank boxer which Pacquiao is not part of as he have leaved that promotion. Errol Spence and Shawn Porter are the next likely contenders here.
2111  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-25] Future President of European Central Bank Would Greatly Alter The A on: July 25, 2019, 03:14:55 PM
How could you expect another person could shift the tides in favor on the industry when we have seen past news about the IMF, G20, G7, EU, and some international organization just making some noise doing the same “regulatory change” but will just end up with “stronger” KYC enforcement and “better” AML standards. That's all what they have been doing by mean of “regulation” at this point just KYC and AML procedures to avoid money launderers and criminals thriving in the industry.
2112  Economy / Economics / Re: Zimbabwe government trying to push for new Zimbabwe Dollar - Surprised? on: July 25, 2019, 02:25:35 PM
Haven't they learned anything already? Even from looking at other countries you will see that introducing a new kind of currency won't solve inflation in their country. New currency even if its up to the trend cannot be directly translated into demand, and the demand is what they need to solve it not to add in some kind of different supply of money. They need to act on something now and they need to learn from their past mistakes, they even have not recovered with it yet and they are already digging themselves deeper in the ground.
2113  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Good news to crypto:Coinbase has passed 30million users this month on: July 24, 2019, 08:27:12 PM
What would be more interesting is to know how many active users Coinbase has and that required removing the unused accounts as well as the multiple accounts handled by just one user because I'm sure that some users here don't have just one Coinbase account in their bags. The number could be misleading as it be because 30 million is just a number we couldn't simply translate to 30 million real actual people actively involve in the cryptocurrency market.
2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think bitcoin will move back to $10,300 today. on: July 24, 2019, 07:53:18 PM
I know this is the speculation board but could you at least provide an explanation for your prediction so that you could at least look like you are analyzing and not hyping Bitcoin. 10,300$ for today might not be possible but I still remain bullish with Bitcoin. On its daily chart he RSI for it shows that there is a hidden bullish divergence happening as well as the MACD, it may not be enough for it to go up 10,000$ today but in a midterm perspective its still a go signal that this isn't the end for Bitcoin's bull run.
2115  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Israeli hacker stole $1.7M in Crypto from Europeans on: July 24, 2019, 05:30:39 PM
Funny thing how the majority of the public thinks Bitcoin is an untraceable asset yet dozens of criminals have been tracked down from various methods not only in BTC's blockchain. This should serve as a wake up call for criminals who potentially attempt to steal cruptocurrencies because the authorities are catching up and the international government is getting involve. Which is really a good thing for us in the industry.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 23, 2019, 07:54:05 PM
Can't wait for the next season I wonder what Zion Williams got in his pocket when he finally faces the living legends like Lebron, Curry, and some other NBA stars out there.

With him being undersize in the powerforward position he  would definitely need a lot of time to adjust especially when more experienced and taller players are guarding the rim. Muscles aren't really everything when the one guarding you knows how to stop them. We all know that rookies on a bigger position takes time to adjust in the NBA unlike guards who can help out right away. So Zion really need to up his game to assure him the ROY title by the end of the season.
2117  Other / Meta / Re: Thank you administrators for allowing us to exist. on: July 23, 2019, 07:25:15 PM
But the only way to have unban appeals in the forum is to submit your appeal in the Meta section, I don't know why the Russian board needs a special exemption to this just because their activity is only within the board. Still ban appeals work on why you think they deserved to be unban and the rest of the community can support or oppose the appeal itself. The way I see it is having a russian admin won't speed up the process since nothing significant won't happen with it.
2118  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-23] Indian govt panel seeks total ban on private crypto on: July 23, 2019, 06:48:50 PM
We always only see news regarding the side of the government but we have yet to see if their citizens and their crypto industry will try to protest this. The last thing I see about their side is when Zebpay failed to battle out on removing the bank transaction ban on them. Without their voice then we can expect this to be fully enforced on a much earlier date. The Indian market is a important market for us in the industry if they cripple it then I think prices would be affected negatively.
2119  Economy / Economics / Re: Northeast Asian messenger apps doing blockchain business on: July 23, 2019, 04:11:29 PM
Asia in my opinion has few of the most cryptocurrency friendly Nations, which support the integration of the blockchain technology and growth of upstarts.
Some other countries on the continent are currently very averse to the idea of cryptocurrency.

But, worldwide industries are already isolating cryptocurrency from the blockchain technology and using it in different forms other than method of transferring funds.
They are really more open towards it compared to western countries out there. The way I see it is that Asian countries are more active in blockchain technology related to cryptocurrencies as they have a crypto-friendly law within their country, unlike western countries lik US where you'll see that blockchain tech is getting patented but cryptocurrencies are  getting left behind because of their laws. That is why you will see that their development is on a faster pace.
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran legalizes mining on: July 23, 2019, 01:56:19 PM
They just made their country the top one priority for miners to change their locations with. They have been the preferred choice for foreign miners as they have cheap electricity which cibsideravly reduces the costs of their operations. Now that they have officially legalized crypto mining then we can expect that even their own citizens will start and go mine crypto not only foreigners taking advantage of their resources.
