Over 90K BTC 24h volume on Poloniex.  Will we see 100k again?

And there it is.

Bids getting a bit slower to fill in, depth a little thin at the front.  It all changes so fast though, that its tough to make a call from even the obvious signs.

Still some bigger volumes running through

Yes, and order book being maintained at 7300 BTC.

I don't think we're finished here, so no sleep for me  Cheesy

Edit:  orders over 7800

Y'know how Risto said the rises are logarithmic and the next stop was .04.....

I'm sure he didn't mean by Sunday.

[EDIT] it look like most of the most of the sell side is still asleep...peeps are going to awake and clear a path

Why wait for Sunday?
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 08:21:03 AM
over 22 woo.

Thanks for the hands out of the cookie jar advice.  Smiley

You mean  .024  LOL ride the train. CCMF!
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 07:46:19 AM
time to troll?  Grin

LOL, TBH I'm surprised that the DASH price is holding up so well - I thought that there would be a pretty large impact. There is obviously room for both in the market

Give them time to wake up and see the action.  Then observe the sinking of DASHip.
2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 07:31:21 AM
A lot of talk, but no action as yet shorting this monster.  Once burned, I presume?
2129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 07:28:56 AM
Closing in on 7000 BTC on the bid side (first time ever). I want to see 10K individual buy walls so this is nothing.

Edit: Also looks like almost 50K XMRs gone from the sell side. No one will sell cheap Moneros anymore it seems.

Pretty sure we've hit 7k more than once this run up.
2130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 07:21:14 AM
Poloniex trollbox - Moonero: XMR is some kind of magical Tesla cow that just gives you Teslas every day. w o w

 Cheesy Grin

Runaway TRAIN!

Fascinating, the bid sum never gets depleted.
I need sleep, have to work tomorrow.  Of course, calling in sick and going truck shopping might be more fun...

LOL I was just looking for that post, as it appears to be on target  Shocked

Bid sum is BUILDING.

edit:  going to hit 7K btc any minute.  I remember being concerned when it dropped under  300 and amazed by 1k earlier this year.  Crazy.  Crazy cool.
2133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 06:46:21 AM
battling .02 at there's still 6K BTC on the book.

edit:  not much of a battle. Hello, .0213 0.02144
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 06:40:52 AM
BAM! ATH again.

And now is the time that I am SO glad I didn't penny pinch. It was for exactly this reason. I could smell that explosion coming.

Nice one.  I'm down to a final colour choice for my new truck  Cheesy

So, here's a question...

While I don't like what BTC is or is becoming these days, I don't buy into the theory it is "dead".  So, what happens to XMR when/if BTC decides to increase in price?

Will the XMR/BTC market readjust or will a 'rising tide raise all boats'?

Or will XMR bring new money into BTC, even?

Definitely have to disagree with explorer on that one. There has always been a strong anti-correlation between the prices of btc and monero. Monero could still rise in a rising btc environment to be sure, but probably always less than it would have in a falling btc environment.

Perhaps.  I used to firmly believe that BTC needed to succeed wildly for XMR to follow suit.  To rely on the compounding effect.  Now I'm not sure at all.  Sitting here at  0.01979 BTC  with an open USDXMR market and surely more to follow is eye opening.  Snowball mode indeed!

all boats will rise, and XMR rise will bring more attention to BTC.

I received a note from Kraken today, apologizing for the delay in answering my ticket.  They are unusually busy.  Why? BTC is boring, not attracting any interest of its own to incite the traffic.  Curious.
2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 05:57:13 AM
Trying to purchase XMR on polo and NO ONE WILL SELL. It's frustrating.

Buy now, or wait for a seller @ .02

I posted this earlier, but it is relevant again.

I was going to up my margin long this morning, but the rates are going astronomical. Now I wish I had done it regardless.

2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 05:38:35 AM
So let's make a new prediction: We'll break 0.0043 this year.

I think that understates just how undervalued XMR is, and just how powerful Monero's position is in regards to securing an increasingly invincible marketcap.

A lot of cryptocurrency speculators are still very much naive in respect of Monero's extraordinary backstory, the cryptography, and the demonstrable power of it's industrial community.

But there has been a shift - a tangible sense that we are now in a prime position to occupy a space than can only really be matched by Bitcoin itself. The recent StackExchange victory proves that whatever the size of one's marketcap, it is the power of community, the egalitarian nature of the genesis, and the skill of the underlying codebase which are the real qualities that will carry projects forward without decline.

Resistance at the 0.004-0.005 level may well be inevitable, but the speed and ferocity at which it is finally broken shouldn't be of any objective surprise. Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if we were toying with 0.0160 by years end.

Either way, Monero now only has to double in value for it to be one place behind Dash on the marketcap. Consequently, and in conjunction with a perceived "Monero vs ZCash" conversation that will make Dash increasingly irrelevant, speculative and community leakage will pour massively into the Monero ecosystem and the levees will break.

Without knowing it, suddenly Monero has a marketcap in excess of $100 million.

I still can't believe this actually came true.

Hello!  rangedriver, you know.  Never wrong  Wink
2140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 03, 2016, 03:22:02 AM
295K XMR available under 0.01875
6400+ BTC bids
lots of shorts taken, possibly well represented within that pile of resistance.
powder keg.

Wondering if we are in for another w/e like the last one.

Up to .03 by Monday....hahahaa

I do need a new truck  Grin

Well, that got nicely out of control in a short period of time.

@explorer, seems like you'll be checking out truck deals this w/e.

Haha started yesterday.  Its good to be prepared Wink
Still, have to get pretty close to 0.03 for that party to get started, and I'm still absorbing the fact that 0.0044 is history.
