2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My plans for the next bear market on: November 14, 2021, 07:25:41 PM
I think I will sell everything I have (btc and alts) in the end of december, to USDT.

1) transfer it (usdt) on Tron on my ledger
2) Wait months
3) Wait again
4) buy back when bloodbath looks over
5) triple my holdings

Main question about my plan is it safe or not keeping usdt for months?
TIA

btw Im an old member that lost his account (was stolen)

Well sounds like a plan that thousands of others investors already had before. The problem is that it is just a theoretical plan and that the reality never plays out as you have planned it. Your plan has also several points where stuff can go wrong, you said you want to sell at the end of december.. well the bear market could hit well before that.
Then you want to wait for a pretty long time until the bear market is over. First we don't know if and when the next bear market will come, well the there will be a bear market someday of course but i doubt that we will see another bear market like the one from 2018 to 2020 again where most coins lost 90% of their value or even more.
So you have a lot of uncertainties in your plan that could actually make your holdings 1/3 instead of x3.
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Football Fan tokens and gambling on: November 14, 2021, 05:19:11 PM
Recently i have seen many football fan tokens like AC Milan Fan Token (ACM) and Manchester City Fan Token (CITY). Also FC Porto Fan Token (PORTO) will list soon on binance.

Do these tokens have any use cases or they are just made to collect money from their fans ? Would they be used in gambling ?

As far as i know you can also pay for certain services of the club with those official fan tokens, for example for merchandise or even for tickets and so on. If i remember correctly Lionel Messi also got a huge chunk of Paris Saint Germain Fan tokens as part of his signing back in August, which gave the whole fan token scene a huge boost.
I am also not really sure what the use-cases for those Fan tokens are besides an additional method of payment for certain services of the clubs. It just means you don't need a credit-card and therefore you don't need a bank to buy a ticket or other stuff.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams? on: November 14, 2021, 05:14:19 PM
Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

Hello everybody. I think everyone who has ever been involved in cryptocurrency investments is interested in the question of how to protect themselves from scams and loss of money. Recently I learned about the CheckDot project, which creates a platform with which it will be possible to get an assessment of any project in the blockchain world. In theory, this way you can get rid of a lot of scams, but does it help?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

Even with a system like CheckDot has it i think you can never be 100% safe of scams in the crypto world. You could just buy a positive assessment on CheckDot for example, of course this would mean that some team member of CheckDot would have to be acting illegally but that can happen too. I would say if you want to be as safe from scams and rug pulls as possible then you should probably only invest into already established and big projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum as there won't be any rugpull ever anymore. And of course the first rule for investing into crypto is always: Only invest money that you can afford to lose.
2164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 13, 2021, 12:28:12 PM
I'm afraid of the probability again that Bayern Munich would just pull away from all of the rest of the teams at some point and get another comfortable Bundesliga title. I'm really sick of seeing this so far.  Grin  I believe that it is time for making some change. And when I look at the teams about which of them can do this, I see Dortmund at the top of this list. Maybe Freiburg are also in a very good shape but I don't think that they are capable of maintaining a strong form till the end of the season. Dortmund seem to be the only team capable thanks to especially Haaland.

At the same time, I'd really like to see them strengthening their defensive line in January to be more solid there. Because they have conceded 17 goals in 11 league games so far. And this caused them to lose the games they could have won normally too. They are very good at scoring but they need to improve their defense too. Otherwise, it wouldn't be surprising to see Bayern Munich making it to the championship one more time like they always do.

As sad as it is for the other teams of the Bundesliga and as bad as it is for the excitement factor of the league it will probably be another Bundesliga title for Bayern Munich this season and i have to say, as boring as it is, it would be a deserved and a logical title, because in the end they have just by far the best squads of all teams in the Bundeliga and even one of the best squads in the whole world of football. I am pretty sure, that Bayern Munich would be a favorite for the title in every football league of the world. Of course they would not have won 9 conecutive titles in a row in the premier league but i am pretty sure they would have won at least 2 or 3 titles in that 9 years there too.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: November 13, 2021, 11:31:42 AM
Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?

I want to invest in a promising project called CheckDot. Their token sale starts this weekend and I think this is a good opportunity to successfully invest money.

Share your thoughts on such an investment. Maybe you have some interesting cases on this matter.

I have never heard of CheckDot before but that doesn't mean that much because each and every day there are appearing new projects and therefore it is very hard or almost impossible to keep track of them all (and i don't even talk about all those meme- or sh*t-coins here because i don't consider them as real projects).
I mainly invest into new projects. The reason for that is quite simple, sadly i am no early BTC or ETH adopter so i don't have a few BTC or ETH laying around that i can invest, so every investment that i make comes from my bank account and i am looking for possible high profits. That is why i mainly invest into new projects. The chance that you lose your money completely there is pretty high of course in comparison to an investment into BTC or ETH but you also have the chance of getting those x10 or x100.
If you decide to invest into new projects, then only invest an amount that you can afford to lose of course.

https://www.marca.com/futbol/barcelona/2021/11/09/618a739146163f2b4d8b4606.html

According to Marca, Barcelona are very determined to sign
Chelsea striker Timo Werner at the first opportunity. As we have known so far, he is not having his best times at Chelsea now. He was much better at scoring when he was playing for Leipzig. I wonder if a move to Barcelona would be beneficial for him. I'd really like to see him playing like his times in the Bundesliga.

It could make sense for Barca to sign a player like Timo Werner. I mean he is still young with only 25 years so he has still not reached his best level yet i think and he really is extremely fast which becomes more and more important in the modern football. But as you already said, he is not playing that well for quite some time now, both in the club and in the national team as well. It seems like he is a pretty sensitive player that really needs not only the trust of his coach but also a friendly and supportive media i would say and i don't think he will have that in Barcelona. He also still has a market value of 55M € so that is quite a risky gamble in my opinion.
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Socials, Altcoins & Reddit help on: November 13, 2021, 09:51:43 AM
Hi,

If a established altcoin within the top 100 ranking on coinmarketcap that still does not have social presence on reddit but on twitter then what does this indicate?

Socials on Discord and Telegram cant be taken seriously because these socials are private not public ideal for scammers correct?

For me it indicates nothing at all to be honest. In the end the social media channels are just another way of communicating with your investors and everyone else. I also have to say that if i had to choose i would always go for a good telegram group instead of a communication that is only managed in social media like twitter, because in Telegram you often have the direct communication with the Devs and the owners of the project. Especially in new and smaller projects it is not that rare that the Devs are very active in their Telegram chat to answer questions and explain what their projects wants to achieve and stuff like that. I don't really need Twitter.
2168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 13, 2021, 12:35:04 AM
So Lewis Hamilton is in danger to get his results in Qualifications for tomorrow sprint raceerased after finding that his DRS system is not fully legal.

If they do so and erase his time he will be starting at the back of the grid the good thing for him is that he will have quarter of a race to win back few positions before he gets the 5 grid penalty for changing the engine internal combustion unit.
So he will be probably will be starting at on raceday 15th or below.

If this document is legit and the statement in those documents turn out to be true then i would say that there is no other possibility than to declare hamilton's time in the sprint qualifying invalid because it is a clear breaking of the rules. If that really happens it will be interesting to see, how many places he can win back before the sprint is already over again. He also has to be careful, that he is not crashing into someone.
That being said hamilton looked extremely fast in todays qualifying and if he can start from the first place tomorrow and from the 5th place on sunday, then he still has a pretty good chance to win the grand prix.
2169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community means everything on: November 13, 2021, 12:28:40 AM
Community means everything in crypto space, there are many people who think that shiba coin won't enter top 10 on coinmarketcap well today we did it, now that we are in bull season I'm sure more surprises is coming, shiba is more than a meme coin do your own research before judging the project, Dogecoin that was loved by the community for few years now got flipped

It is true that the community plays a big part in the puzzle if you want to be a successful project in the crypto space, but in my opinion the biggest factor if a project is successful or not should be the features of the project and what functionality it is offering to the users and in that regard Shiba Inu is doing nothing. So the community is basically all that Shiba Inu has and this should just not be enough to be a really successful project in any sector of an industry, but so far i have to admit that Shiba Inu is a success story for a lot of people. I also think though that i am pretty sure that we will not see another 10x from here on for Shiba Inu because in the end it is just a sh*it-coin which offers nothing. So i would guess that the price of Shib will slowly go down from now on.
2170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 12, 2021, 03:25:53 PM
There were some good matches to watch happening yesterday and besides the surprising win of Georgia vs. Sweden there were no big upsets happening yesterday. This loss for sweden was extremely unlucky because now they need to win against in their last match against Spain if they want to be back on the first position of the table again and this would be pretty important as only the first team is qualified directly. If they would have won against Georgia then a draw would have been enough against Spain. So Georgia completely changed the circumstances for the last matchday. I still think though that both Spain and Sweden have good chances to qualify even if they have to play the additional play-off round.
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When TRON (TRX) will be pump on: November 12, 2021, 02:29:19 PM
Almost all cryptocurrencies have been too much pumped but why not Tron??

If i remember correctly then there was a quite similar thread a few days or a week ago in here. I would say that the mean reason why Tron has not pumped yet while a lot of other projects are having rising prices is the fact, that it is just not in the focus of the people at the moment and if there is no one aware of a project then no-one will buy it. Therefore tron is one of those older coins that are not able to reach their ATH of the 2018 bull-run even though the total market cap is way higher than back in 2018. I think Tron needs to deliver sooner or later and bring some functionality to their ecosystem in order to grow in price, otherwise they will become irrelevant.
2172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 11, 2021, 06:08:48 PM
Maybe Freiburg are having a solid season too but it seems like Dortmund are the only team that can hold Bayern Munich back from winning the title again this season. Because they have the second best lineup quality among the rest of the teams in the Bundesliga. Of course, the lineup is not everything all the time. But to dethrone a dominator like Bayern Munich, you need to have a solid lineup. Even it might not be enough for succeeding in this.  Grin
Defeat against bayern munchen is certainly very painful, especially now that the difference between the two teams is starting to be quite far and it will be impossible to stop bayern munchen dominance in the bundesliga this season, actually I personally really hope that freiburg is able to at least hold a draw with bayern munchen in that match, but indeed on In fact, Bayern Munich is a very difficult club to beat. Cry

I also think that Dortmund can be the team that have the best chance to stop Bayern Munich's overpowering their competitors this season. Because after a long time, we finally are seeing a more consistent Dortmund. Of course, the result they got last week was not very satisfactory for them as the point difference with Bayern has increased to 4 now. But Dortmund played a really tough game away against Leipzig and Haaland's absence was felt by his team.

To be honest here i don't think that Dortmund has a higher chance to beat Bayern Munich this year in the race for Bundesliga title are higher than in the years before, i would even say that they are lower. I am aware that Dortmund has many inured players at the moment and so far they managed to gather a lot of points despite this fact. I have seen a lot of the games of Dortmund though and i have to say that they were pretty lucky in a lot of games that they have won, for example against Köln and Leverkusen. So i would say that Dortmund could have easily 4 points less now because of that. Bayern on the other hand should have 3 points more because they totally dominated the match against Frankfurt which they have lost and then the gap between Bayern and Dortmund would already be huge.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Floki Inu vs Shiba Inu on: November 11, 2021, 05:36:22 PM
Shiba Inu is an ERC-20 token that entered the industry in the summer of 2020 with one goal; surpassing Dogecoin. Similar to the Shiba Inu, the Floki Inu was inspired by the Shiba Inu dog breed. In fact, both coins have the Shiba Inu for their logo. The major difference is that Shiba Inu was born from Dogecoin while Floki Inu’s idea came from Elon Musk’s Shiba Inu puppy. Some of the major differences between Floki Inu and Shiba Inu include:

What do you think of meme coins?

That "inspired by" column of your overview is pretty ridiculous and also pretty sad at the same time for me. Sad because i just can not understand how projects like that (if you even want to call such copy & paste tokens projects) can attract anyone to invest into them. Yes i know that there were quite a number of people that have made huge profits by investing early into Shiba Inu, but that alone does not justify that this meme-coin (or sh*t-coin) hype is still ongoing for many many months now. I mean by now it should already be clear to everyone, that 99% of all those meme-coins will be dead within a few weeks and that you will most likely lose everything of your investment.
2174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 11, 2021, 12:29:18 PM
My predictions for the results of the world cup qualifiers 2021/22 on Friday:

Germany 3 vs 0 Liechtenstein

This prediction looks very conservative in my opinion. I mean i can see why you only expect 3 goals for Germany given the fact that in their first match against Liechtenstein they only managed to score 2 goals and that Germany also has lost 5 players for todays match with Niklas Süle, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Karim Adeyemi because of the positive Covid Test of Süle. I still think tough that the Germany has just so much more quality in their squad that they should win with 4 goals or even more today and they are also in much better shape than they were back in September in their first match against Liechtenstein.
2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create a privacy coin? on: November 11, 2021, 12:22:29 PM
How can I create a privacy coin like monero, with all the same security features like ring signatures? What blockchain should I use?

I am not a developer so i can not really give you detailed instructions or anything like that but i think, that creating a privacy coin is not that easy as creating a ERC-20 token or a Binance-Smart-Chain token in order to launch meme-coin number 10000. The easiest way to create a new privacy coin would probably to fork of from an existing one like zcash for example. There are already some zcash forks out there like Komodo and Bitcoin private which are both doing not very good but at least there are still active and have some trading volume while all the other forks are basically dead projects already. So i don't think that just another fork would be a success.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 10, 2021, 05:23:41 PM
Hopefully though, with a new coach, she can go back in winning form.

I'm sure everyone is familiar on how we critic here, a few pages back after winning the US Open and then changing her coach and even compare here to Osaka.

And I think some of us might be right back then as she didn't duplicate the success up to know. So let's see how it goes this time with a announcement of new coach.

I think it is very uncertain if Raducanu will be able to reach another final anytime soon, because for me it is very much possible that she is a one-hit-wonder. We all know that the density of the quality of the players in the top 100 in the women division is pretty low in comparison to the men's division. At the moment it is possible in the womens division that you can reach a grand slam final even if you are not even a top 100 player because you don't have a top level serena williams and a maria sharapova anymore that are dominating the circuit. So to reach the final of a big tournament once does not mean that much in my opinion.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Binance list "Bloktopia (BLOK)"? on: November 10, 2021, 05:09:46 PM
The following image was reflected in the web archive link below:

Original Screen URL: https://web.archive.org/web/20211017205402/https://www.binance.com/en/trade/blok_USDT

The 24-hour BLOCK price went from -1,6% to +16%. Do you think the screenshot is a listing herald?

The high trading volume of Bloktopia will definitely attract the top exchanges in the near future, if the trading volume stays at the level of today of course. Bloktopia is already tradeable on Gate.io and Kucoin though so there are already good exchanges where you can buy and sell Blok. I also don't think that a listing on Binance or Coinbase would lead to another major pump from todays price on because if you look at it we are already at a fully diluted market cap of 16 Billion $ which would mean that Bloktopia would be a top 20 already with today's price, so i don't think that there is room for another x5 or more from here.
2178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 10, 2021, 01:55:39 PM
The Greece vs Spain can be one of the interesting games tonight. While there are two games left to the end of the qualifier games, Spain are 4 points ahead of Greece now. Spain are at the 2nd place and Greece are right behind them. In their first group game, Spain had a hard time beating them even though they dominated the whole game and it ended by 1-1. This time, I assume that they will want to obtain a certain victory here. And I expect Spain to win this and guarantee promoting to the main tournament.

I would say that this game looks more exciting or close on paper than it will be in reality. The gap in performance and quality of the two squads is just to big in my opinion. Yes it is true that Greece is only 4 points behind Spain and that they could still overtake them and go to the second place themself, but i just don't see that happening. The only reason why this could happen is that Spain would get nervous because they know that they can still miss the World cup next year if they lose today and then again in the last matchday against sweden, so if the game starts bad or unlucky for spain it is indeed possible that it will be a close game, but if everything goes normal Spain should be able to win this.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more long term bear market on: November 10, 2021, 01:47:57 PM
If bear market is going to happen in 2022 it won't last long like the past because this adoption of a thing is 10x more stronger than the past, if you think that all crypto coins are going to lose 90% of their value again you are dreaming, oh unless Covid 2.0 happens

I still think that everything is possible in terms of market developments and that is especially true in the cryptospace because, as everyone knows, the crypto space is driven a lot by emotion and hype and not so much by logic and innovation a lot of times. Just look at all those stupid meme-coins that are appearing everyday. They have zero justification to exist but people still buy them. I agree with you here though because i also think that we won't see a bear market like the one from 2018 to 2020 again with prices that are going down like 95% from their ATH of the bullrun before. We will still see corrections but not so heavy ones.
2180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: November 09, 2021, 03:28:16 PM
Leverkusen were having a terrible form in the Bundesliga before their Europa League game. They needed to win this game to start the recovering process for themselves. Their competitor was Betis and they are one of the solid teams in the La Liga this season. I assumed that it would be a really tough game for both sides. But it turned out that Leverkusen didn't see it as a problem at all. They demolished Betis by 4-0 home and won a huge victory here. They are the leader now by 10 points in their group too.
Leverkusen will not go too far in this competition imo. They are fluctuating a lot in Bundesliga, they got kicked from DFB-Pokal by a team which is 10th in 2.Bundesliga..
In EL, its rivals aren't that top, Betis seems to be better than the others, yet it isn't that good lately even in La Liga..

I kinda disagree here because i think that Leverkusen has the potential to reach the semi-finals of the europa league or even the finals if they are able to show their best possible performances on the relevant matchdays. Yes it is true, that they were kicked out of the DFB Pokal by a club from the second Bundesliga, so they definitely should have won there, but stuff like that can happen. Just take a look at Bayern Munichs 0-5 loss against Gladbach in the DFB-Pokal, that was an even bigger upset.
Still Leverkusen managed to beat Betis with 4-0 which indicates to me that leverkusen is not yet very stable but that they can beat every team in the europa league if they have a good day.
