2261  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 29, 2023, 11:24:05 PM
Sorry to say this is just beginning of the year and from my own understanding there wouldn't be any much different between last year and this year price of bitcoin, the main target would be like maybe after it's circle next year then we could greatly experience a dynamic change which would likely result to another ATH. So for this year expect bitcoin to be hovering and dangling around $16k to $25k.
Already, there are discussions on this and some quarters are of the opinion that this momentary rally experienced in the last few days that has taken Bitcoin from the $17k region to $23k was expected last November to December before the festivities. Those who argue that are of the opinion that January is usually a dull month for Bitcoin pull up. Well, I know of certain that in cryptos nothing is guaranteed to be the same every time. Just flow with what is happening. I do see your point anyway. I'm also of the opinion that we aren't likely to see another ATH yet until after the halving in 2024.

We are at the end of the month, just one day and technically we can call this rally a whole month and hopefully this is the start of the year with a green candle. Current price $23,500 and let's see if we can get to $24k tomorrow.

I think after a worst year like in 2018, we bounce back at January if my memory serves me right, so the opinion might be wrong though.

Nevertheless, yes, there will be no ATH for this year, it's more likely after the halving in 2024 and then the bull run will continue up to 2025.

Again, the prediction is 6 digits minimum so we all look forward to one and don't forget to continue to accumulate still.

And what others have thought:

https://twitter.com/OfficialNBARefs/status/1619815874583752704

The referees themselves admitted that they have make a big blunder on that last play, a drive by Lebron which they didn't call any foul. On the other hand, they call a foul + 1 on the other side prior to the call to make the score tie. And James is really mad after that but he can't do anything but to continue to play but eventually they have lost the game. And this game is closed to rigging and cheating by the referees, in my opinion.
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 29, 2023, 11:03:30 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?

It will take tons of money to move Shiba to $1.00.

Look at the current price, = $.0.00001205, so that will be like the whole of crypto right now to put in to $1.00.

So the question is where to get that money right now and is the investors willing even in the bull run? or will divest their investment to let's say BTC and other altcoin? And there is also the high risk involved, maybe before we can reach $1.00 there will be a massive sell-off.

There are rumors that Crawford will sign a contract with Golden Boy

https://twitter.com/OscarDeLaHoya/status/1619484337682157568/photo/1

Is this a good move from Crawford himself? Will Oscar Dela Hoya will able to work with PBC and Al Haymon to bring the biggest fight that we all have been waiting for?

Hopefully this will be the case, specially for Crawford who really wanted to get this fight. And Spence can't hide or duck anymore because that's one stumbling block in their first negotiations. Now there are someone more experience to talk in behalf of Crawford.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 29, 2023, 10:39:34 PM
But let's see first what the first fight will bring, maybe it could be just one sided and end in less than 10 rounds and someone getting his ass knock out for good that he doesn't want to have a rematch.

In that case then there's no trilogy anymore, maybe a rematch but I'm sure it will have the same outcome since the first fight was already obvious it's just a one-sided fight. If they'll make a controversial decision in the first fight like what happened to Wilder vs Fury fight where the first fight was declared as a draw, then there are still 2 fights where Fury has dominated the KO artist.

That would be the nearest scenario for them to make the trilogy into a reality, that is if there will be a draw in their first bout but that's highly unlikely considering that both of them is a knockout artist and neither one of them is also willing to make the fight draw or take a defeat, by the looks of it, Ryan Garcia especially Tank Davis wanted a one-sided fight so that they can move-on towards other boxers.

Both wanted a one side beating, so that it will be over and the winner gets the respect and the bragging rights. But who knows, if they move to 140 lbs maybe they will have to fight again in the future. They are still very young and maybe 5+ years still in their career so a lot of things can happen.

And with that youth on their side, I agree that we might not need a rematch after all. They will go at it, and try to score a knock out win. With that, majority of us knows that this might not last 12 rounds.

2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 29, 2023, 07:11:45 PM
It seems Pelicans ran out of fuel lately as they have 5 defeats in a row. They also don't have enough points to have playoffs locked in so they should make a mega effort next game against Bucks and try to win that game because defeats bring more defeats and they don't need a spiral of defeats.

This losing streak makes them vulnerable to being dropped off in the NBA playoffs and they really need to take some adjustments seriously because they are one of the teams to be expected to make the western conference a hard battle to get to the NBA finals but it seems they need to make things right first before dreaming to get their revenge against the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs. If they don't improve their ranks these upcoming days, then that's all for them and they're just one of those teams who cannot hold their spots despite how they win every single game in the past months.

Well, their two best players have been injured. I think it was amazing they were winning games at all without them. Once Zion and Ingram are back healthy and get some time on the floor together I’m sure they’ll bounce back. Hopefully in time to save them for the playoffs.

How about that foul on LeBron last night that cost the Lakers the game because of a no call? Crazy…

Yeah, that no call and then they call a foul on the other end? It looks like the referee is against the Lakers recently with a lot of no and controversial calls against them. They could have won that game in my opinion.

As for the Pelicans, not only did they ran out of steam, but the injuries of Zion really took a big blow on them. They’ve lost 12 of their last 15 games overall, not good after getting on top. Although BI is back, he is still on the adjustment period and it might take some games again. And now they are going to face a tough team in the East and that is the Bucks next, so it's hard to see them getting the win here.
2267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might reach $30,000 in the first half of 2023 and $50,000 in the second on: January 29, 2023, 06:58:24 PM
until now the price of Bitcoin continues to move up, for a price of $ 25K it is very realistic and even I say it is very possible for a price of $ 30K in early 2023.
however, this speculation can happen with all possibilities and people's belief in what will happen in the future is, of course, still in uncertainty, but there are several indicators that can be used as a reference so that these speculations are most likely to occur.

For me personally, I believe in a positive movement that continues to occur as it is now, although slowly, but I believe it will continue to move in a positive direction.
The price is currently trading around $23.5k. It might continue till $24k but I am not sure if we will continue to $25k and beyond as this was the hardest zone that BTC is trying to break so far. I will only be confident that $30k is possible once we reached or pass $25k barrier. Speculations will likely happen if we will also follow it with an action. Say if we speculate the price to go up, that is possible if we will also buy more and then HODL.

There are available indicators that we can use but not all times they accurate. There are times that they are accurate but then the price intentionally move on to another direction due to manipulation so we must be careful to not caught out by the trap prepared by the whales.

We can only speculate that $25k might be the key resistance in this bull run. Yes, as we further goes up, we might hit the hardest zone around that price. Of course if we hit $25k and then sustain, then we will have the momentum to go and chase another whole numbers at $30k.

Indicators are not that accurate, it can only help as that much. But we really don't know the feeling of the traders/speculators or investors. Maybe one day we will see a sell off again due to some negative news. Or will continue to pump up the numbers by the whales to $30k or higher.

As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?

Not sure about those NFT's, it's more of a hype and trend. If you are a newbie and wanted to stay long in crypto, at least better invest first on Bitcoin (BTC) and see how it goes.

At least in my case, this is how I started, and when I gain some knowledge, that's where I started to venture and experiment on other projects and hypes at that time. But still pointed me though to have majority of my portfolio to BTC. As others would have said, you can never go wrong with purchasing your first Bitcoin.
2269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 29, 2023, 06:35:21 PM
Charlotte Hornets vs Miami Heat - Miami Heat (-3.5)

I actually think I'll take my chances with the Charlotte Hornets tonight, I like them more and I find value in the approximately 2.9 Odds they're offered for ML, with both Lamelo Ball and Terry Rozier playing, even with Cody Martin out, I believe the Hornets still stand more than a decent chance here, and I'm riding with 'em.

Good, I thought I'm the only one betting on those huge underdogs on games, hehehe. This time though, since the game has started, 4.5 for Hornets @2.05.

Memphis going back at home against the Kings, they have been losing on the road, but again, I do hope that this time, they will break their losing skid. I'm looking at a double digit win for them, -9.5 @2.07.

Bucks is healthy once more, against NOP, -9.5 @1.92.
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 29, 2023, 05:51:43 PM

Again, if you haven't seen Fulton fight, he doesn't have the same power as Inoue, he wasn't able to bring down Figueroa on his last fight. On the other hand, he could have taken a lot of damages during that fight. Yes he won, but the score is really close. And as I have said, he could have been soften by Figueroa and then Inoue just go for the kill and maybe knock him out, just saying.

Which makes Inoue different because there's no fighter that he has a close fight, well, the closest was Donaire because he survive the 12 rounds, but the result was still all in favor on Inoue since Inoue won via Unanimous decision. This might be a debut of Inoue but despite that, I'm sure he will not struggle and his confidence is still very high, he likes a real action because he got bored in his last fight where he won the undisputed champion.

There's no need to compare their records, it's very obvious, we already know who is the better fighter here. The thing is, even if Fulton is the champ, if he will be able to defend his title, people will react thinking it was an upset. That's how big their trust to Inoue since Inoue has been knocking down opponents, a monster with no fear, that's who he is.
But when expectations is really just that too much then they would really be just telling to theirselves that it is really just normal to lose since its a higher weight division champ so its a bit of a rush on taking him directly which it would really be a common excuse for those solid Inoue fans out there.Well, it cant really that surprising because if we do see on Inoue's potential which it seems that he could
handle up those fighters on higher division. It cant be that be so sure though and it wont be that easy but we could really be able to see
whether he could make it or not.

I wouldn't say that will be the excuse if ever they lost the fight against Fulton, for sure Inoue's camp will give respect to Stephen because after all he was the champion that they are challenging and this is his division, so no excuses for them. On the other hand, Inoue will not be called a the monster for nothing. And one thing about him is that even at the face of his most difficult fight against Donaire in the first fight, with broken orbital bone, he still manage to overcome Nonito and win that fight. And now the experience he got from that will bring him to the next level, whether another hard fight against Fulton or what will be next for him in this division, win or lose.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 29, 2023, 05:37:38 PM
Lol, Am gone through every comment and I must say that i enjoyed the the conversation so far,
To add, i personally know that the scenarios i mentioned is (though very possible to happen) unlikely, at least, I know a someone who won close to $7000 on his second day of gambling, he started the first day and gambled away $15, after about 2 weeks, he came back to the same casino, deposited $100 and started playing one of this pragmatic games, betting random amount on each round of the game, he got luck and won over 15 free rounds, through this rounds, he won several  multipliers and that was how he's total winning amount to $6,879, that is a lot of money if converted to my countries currency, I advised him to withdraw that money and start a business with it, and forget about gambling, he did obey, started a business but later went into gambling again without me knowing, I only got to know that he went back to gambling when I saw that he's business wasn't doing well as it suppose, I tried inquiring from him what's going on, he later opened up to me that he lost over $2000 on sports betting some weeks back, and the loss is affecting his business.

This was how the idea of this thread came by.

Oh ok, I knew it, for starters that is a huge money to win in the casino, even here it's a huge money already and you can open a business and sustain it. And it's good that he listens to your advise, put a business with that money. However, your friend is also thinking at getting back in gambling again and maybe thought why not, perhaps he can won big again? Unfortunately, lady luck doesn't strike twice, that's why when you win big, it's better not to come back because you are going to be misled and things goes unexpectedly that your friend didn't have control of his money, losing big $2k in the process. And now the business is not doing good and it could ruin him if he will not focus on it and instead try to gamble often.
2272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 29, 2023, 05:26:05 PM
In any case though, all fingers point to Errol Spence and his camp regarding the fall out, and it seems that he is not denying it isn't it? because we just hear him and his team says that they don't need Crawford because they have cemented their legacy already. But as fans we think otherwise, we need to see this fight happening as we want to see the best fighting against each other, and that is the history of that division.

People already know the truth and it's evident enough why all fingers are pointing towards Errol Spence Jr. and Al Haymon, the fact is, the played Terence Crawford for months and let him expect that a fight will materialize. They haven't thought about their move well that someday it would backfire at them as they can't just hold those belts forever even if they got some influence.

Spence's camp are just hiding behind the reason that they already cemented their legacy, therefore Crawford won't be needed anymore. Honestly, when did they cemented it? After Ugas fight? Grin They can't honestly fool everyone with that kind of shallow reasoning.

Yes, I think they are and probably this is what they have brainwash Spence for thinking that he had a good career and cemented his career at 147 lbs without fighting Crawford.

I would agree that he has a good resume, no doubt, but there is one name missing in that record and that is Terrence Crawford.

So in any case he beat Thurman, still though there is this huge question in front of him for not fighting Bud.

I really doubt that Spence cemented his legacy already. He owns 3 belts in the division but he is still not considered the lineal and Ring belt champion of the division because the rule is for #1 and #2 to fight each other for the vacant Ring belt and be considered lineal. I say Errol Spence's name will never be considered in the Hall of Fame with his current accomplishments. If Spence has no plans to face Crawford then he needs to become undisputed at 154 or at least conquer 2 more divisions in order to cement his legacy in the Hall of Fame.

While Terrence Crawford has more than enough to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. In reality, it is Crawford that do not need Spence when it comes to legacy. Crawford is already a 3 division champion and was the first undisputed champion at 140 in this 4-belt era. But Crawford clearly wanted more to his legacy as he is also aiming to become the first ever 2 or 3-division undisputed champion in this 4-belt era. What's stopping Crawford from that chance is Spence and his close friend Jermell Charlo the undisputed champion at 154.

I will say neither hasn't cemented their legacy yet hehehe. They need more fight and to beat a lot of boxers from 147 lbs to 154 lbs and win belts or need to unify. So I'm not sure about those excuses by Spence camp about them not needed Crawford and vice versa.

It's maybe that we are really in a era that boxers are into the business of making money and not for their legacy in this sports. If we were like in the 80's or 90's this two could have fought already and who knows, maybe a rematch or trilogy is needed to settle as who is the best. But today, we won't see that chance for Crawford and Spence because there are a lot of restrictions and limitations.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2023, 05:15:01 PM
It's a win, yahoo.

Artem Dalakian won on a unanimous decision against David Jimenez.

Arthur Beterbiev knocked down Anthony Yarde with a right hook in the 8th round but after he got up the coach stepped in to save his fighter from more damage and stopped the fight.
I really thought Yarde is going to win it as he had his moments, especially in the 5th round as he hurt Beterbiev at some part but he failed to connect. The champion had some good defense and toughness and even if he doesn't have the speed, they made a good strategy for slowing down Yarde. From 4th round, Yarde's footwork was gone, he said he have the speed as his upper hand but he forgot to add some stamina.
The champion will be keeping all his belts.

Very nice mate,

Yes, it was a good performance Artem, it was a hard and grind fight, was a battle till the last round. Artem took the best shot of David Jimenez and there were times that you thought Jimenez got the best of the exchange. But Artem will come back and try to outwork him in the corner.

I agree that Yarde at some point of the fight, we think that he might have a good chance. As I have said in the previous thread, he is ahaed at least by a point in my unofficial scoring card. But Beterbiev has been in several wars himself and he knows what to do in order to win. And Beterbiev post fight that said Yarde punches hard too. But he prepared very well in this fight that's why he was able to make a comeback and it was over and didn't last 12 rounds.
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to bet on Billiards sports? on: January 29, 2023, 05:02:08 PM
There’s a hype recently in our country about our Billiard legend Efren Bata Reyes dominating the One pocket tournament of Derby City. I want to support him but sadly most of the sportsbook that I’m using doesn’t have this kind of bet offer.

Do you know where to bet on this sports? Btw anyone here watching this tournament? Efren is already 68 years but he is dominating even young prodigy and still undefeated. Watching him on this level gives me a goosebumps.

He is still a legend and his skills haven't diminished, on the contrary, he aged like a fine win in this sports.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar what 'known' sports bookies covered this sports. So most probably we won't be able to bet on them.

And if I'm not mistaken, he finished 3rd already, although he didn't won this tournament, but yeah, at this age, he can give those young players a run for their money at any billiard disciple, specially 8 and 9 ball.
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 29, 2023, 03:41:22 AM
Artur Beterbiev successfully defends his title against Anthony Yarde.

The early rounds were tough for both boxers and Yarde is able to keep up with Beterbiev. He was even able to connect some good shots on Beterbiev. But the champion is always a champion and after being fairly outscored at some point, he came out aggressive in 4th round and that's where the trouble on Yarde started.

I thought Yarde, that fully turned serious during the period of his training, will last a whole fight but ended up short.

It was really a war and I applauded Anthony Yarde, and I will tell you that I have him ahead on my unofficial score card and so is the two judges if I'm not mistaken. But the power of Beterbiev really caught up on him, that jab and then the chopping right. Once you are hit for sure you will feel dizzy and off balance as we have seen in Yarde.

Unfortunately, he just fell short on Beterbiev, if only he could have more power to hurt Beterbiev early, and then fight till the 12 rounds.
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 28, 2023, 10:52:43 PM
Fulton will regret this fight, none of his opponents of Inoue in the past has not gone down because of his power, so I don't think Fulton will be an exception, especially since Inoue is making his debut in the super bantamweight division, he will make sure that he will again have an impressive win.

But if Fulton didn't accept this title defense against Inoue, then it will leave a question on his reputation that he's afraid of facing the Japanese boxer.

He originally set for a rematch with Brandon Figueroa, but in a different weight class, and it's already set for February 26. But instead, he negotiated with Naoya Inoue and Figueroa might face instead the former WBC Featherweight Champion, Mark Magsayo.

Good to see that Fulton decided to stay at 122 lbs and Naoya Inoue itself claimed that Fulton is so far the biggest challenge in his career.

To be fair with Stephen Fulton though he has plans to move up to 126 lbs already, but when Inoue says that he will move up to 122 lbs, then their names would have to cross path first because obviously, Fulton is the champion in this division and so he has to defend it against the Monster.

So not that he is afraid of what, but as a champion he has this duty to face anyone, be it might be the Inoue who is making a jump.

We should give credit to him for staying and defending it even though we know that it is going to be a very difficult fight for him.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 28, 2023, 04:36:09 PM
There's always been talks and intrigue about these 2 teams since the Mavs made an upset and knocked the Suns out in the playoffs in 2021. It seems like some Phoenix fans and maybe even Booker himself hasn't moved on yet.

That's why when these two teams meet again early in the season and the Suns won it after a big comeback, the celebration is like they truly got revenge on the Mavericks lol. They should really be bitter in their last year's playoffs exit as just imagined having the best record in the NBA and up by 2 wins in the playoffs against the Mavericks but still choking and losing it. And the worst, they allow the Mavericks to give them as much as 46 points behind, a literal choke.

I hope though that they will meet again in this year's playoffs to continue their rivalry, with no injuries and in a healthy lineup.
But this lost though, I mean no Luka but still the Dallas were able to escape and get that needed win against their rival. So this could be another huge lost for them mentally and it's worst for them.
I wonder what Luka is saying at the back when he saw that his team won against the Suns without him.

Well, the Suns don't have Booker as well. Since he got injured, the Suns played not that good. Well, they got a 4 game winning streak before that lost and that shows a sign of adjustments, but still, many are expecting that the Suns will be the same team as they are 2 years ago when they are at the top of the standings. Now they are 25-25 and currently 9th in the league. Nowhere near the expectation of their fans and other people who have high expectations to them.

Will they enter the playoffs? Yes for sure. The question now is, where they will land. The worst thing that can happen to them is if they will end up at the play-in tournament.

I really doubt their presence if they can have an appearance in the playoffs because they won't get that far because they are heavily relying on Devin Booker alone, point god can't lift the team anymore if he can't give his power pass to someone who is reliable to shoot anymore. Moreover, the Jazz, Thunder, Blazers and Lakers might force their way too. So if CP3 and Booker will get injured again in the precious times then it's a no go for them for sure.

Most likely that the Suns has reach it's peaked with CP3 and Booker and the rest, like Ayton.

So now they are starting to crumble and struggle with their current roster, they are no longer in their primes, and the NBA has catch up with them. And the injuries too to CP3 and Booker could be a factor as well.

Most likely they could make the playoff, but again, facing a difficult team in the first round, they might choke again.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 28, 2023, 03:31:34 PM
I have a discussion with a close relative about online gambling and he said something that about how he hate gambling online because it's too addictive, he claimed real life casinos are better and less addictive because he will have to drive down to Las Vegas to gamble or drive down to a local casino and this still takes some physical effort and it discourages many people from frequenting gambling.

He said with online gambling it's available on through mobile phones and you can play at any time, this means no shortage of gambling around the clock and no shortage of losing money as well, you can easily pull out your phone and gamble with any free time, a bit compulsive and too accessible.

What do you think about this claim? Is he right or wrong?

For me it's just the same though, and as far as Las Vegas goes, the last time I was there, a lot of slots machines are place in strategic places not just casinos. So in a case you don't need to drive or travel to the Strip to play slot games, it's everywhere there.

And once you are addicted, even though how far the casinos are, you are going to travel no matter what time of the day it is.

I'm talking about my experience before, when I was so addicted that I will even skip office or go to casino office hours to play and gamble. So it doesn't make any difference in my opinion.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 28, 2023, 02:58:59 PM
Wow. Another lost. Not a funny loss but I am laughing, I might be crazy.  Cheesy

Had the right prediction on who will win but the spread was not covered. Lacking 1 more point for both the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks.
The sad part about the Miami bet is I think that the lowest spread @1.57 only and the next is ML which is not that rewarding for a win.
My Bucks bet though, it's my fault for being greedy. That -10.5 if I remember it right is the max on spreads option.

Chasing my losses for the Golden State Warriors -3.5. Let's go Warriors!

Damn!

Those are the toughest kind of losses to swallow, especially when you have to lose two bets to such margin in just one night... I might have fooled myself by hoping for a very low scoring game between Toronto Raptors and Warriors, 125 points combined in just the first half of the game alone, it's either a lower scoring 2nd half or I'd be handed my L's by the bookies tonight  Angry

It seems that the bookies had a beautiful day because I bet there are a lot more bettors out there who also put some of their funds on the stated teams. It was quite a game and yes, those scores are really tough to swallow because you could've won that bet if it's not because of the .5 handicap left to cover.

Anyway, anyone interested about the Lakers vs Celtics match-up tomorrow? The Celtics has been listed as a -7.5 favorite over the Lakers, this will be a nice game to watch and bet live as AD is also back on the floor. Also, is it possible that LeBron will pass Kareem's scoring title tomorrow, or not?

And again, you really have to appreciate how great those handicappers though, hehehe, because our bet will be just off by a point.

Anyhow, 2/4 for me, its good that the Warriors and OKC won their game, Warriors covering the handicap and the OKC with my ML.

Congrats as well to @danherbias07 for chasing his early losses. Still not that bad.
