I've got the biggest balls in the entire crypto land.  Tongue

I lost 50BTC doing that a few weeks ago.

Well, my initial stake was 2BTC and I built it up to 50BTC so I'm pretending that I only lost 2BTC   Cry

ouch. how long did i take to build up the 50 btc?

About 1 hour.  I have no idea how I did it.  I was lost in a horrendous click flurry.  Seriously scary how you can just find yourself clicking away as if it isn't real money.  I do know that on one occasion I accidentally placed a large 10% bet and won!  I started off carefully and ended up barely even concentrating.

£500 lost.  Could have been £12.5k gained.

The house (and maths!) won.  I definitely lost.

Some of you people need help.

 Tongue

Wise words.

In my case I'm too scared to gamble now!

you told your wife about that session?

Yes.  She told me that I was a "total fucking idiot" and laughed at me for nearly an hour.

If it makes you feel any better I pointed a large Sha256 farm your way a while back for half of one shift and about half an hour of another and was very pleased with the outcome!

That's great. I know if they find their way here enough people can set them straight Wink

I know the stats can be quirky especially if people mine temporarily. Didn't want them in here spreading FUD. The pool runs hands off, I don't have the time or inclination to figure out how to single out a miner to scam them. You get out what you put in and for the long term miner's I think they're happy with the results.

I wasn't sure what unconfirmed meant.  I was a bit paranoid because the farm was throwing out a lot of invalid shares and was very bursty at the time.  It was a pleasant surprise when I got another chunk of drk a few days later!

I seem to remember two payments of around 38 DRK.  Same payment address as my sig if you wanted to look in your stats.

The latest shift for the Darkcoin multipool paid out over 140 DRK.

Scrypt support has doubled and currently 800m/h+ and over the weekend is was 1.2Gh/s. Great work! The pay outs for the weekend shift resulted in a big jump, from the typical 10-12DRK, to nearly 50DRK!

SHA is holding steady as around 10-13Th/s but X11 is still struggling ~400-500Mh/s. Would love too see 1Gh/s+ added to X11 and boost the DRK payouts considerably.

Cheers!

Just FYI, I think it's pretty much understood, but seriously don't rent SHA mining rigs for a few hours and expect to do better (then come crying about the stats). Which I think is the case for anything am I wrong? The SHA/Scrypt ports are meant to make use of your old legacy hardware.

Just had someone in chat complaining about the last shift, which remember is the weekend shift and is 72 hours of which they mined about 20 hours of it. Not to mention the discrepancies in mostly everything they said.

IMHO auto-update could be a very bad thing if the system is ever high-jacked - think about it
IF auto-update is ever implemented - I want a way to turn it off because I'll never ever ever ever use it. PERIOD

If my local system gets compromised the attacker will get my wallet and password anyway.
If github/darkcoin.io gets compromised, I'll download infected file from there.
So I do not see how autoupdate possibility for users might increase the risk.

DNS hijacking springs to mind.

Turns out there isn't a book of Evan in the bible.  Shame.

that's because the bible == horseshit.

Evan != horseshit.

Salkenex = Ignore

 Cool

Er, != is Oracle (and other platform) syntax for not equal to.

Possibly offence to the religious notwithstanding, he was being complimentary to Evan.

Someone already running 17.20? Must have been compiled from source.

Luke 10.17-20
The seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, in your name even the daemons submit to us!’ He said to them, ‘I watched Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning. See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’

So my MN isn't showing up on drk.mn but when I grep my IP it shows a :1. Does that mean it's running and there's a problem with the site?

Also, to fix my problem above I had to restart the masternode from my windows wallet.

Drk.mn isn't updated yet.

If you've got a :1 you are fine.

Yes, this update requires a local wallet start.

MasterCard Executive Argues Bitcoin Can't Be Trusted

http://www.coindesk.com/mastercard-executive-argues-bitcoin-cant-trusted/

I wonder if they're being pals with the whole Western Union thingy... WU vs BTC

Serious statement, I trust DRK and BTC much more than I trust Mastercard.

In any case, there are many illegal merchants and fraudsters using Mastercard.

What a load of ill-informed FUD.

It is so hard to buy a node nowadays. Nobody wants to sell at 0.006xx anymore. I think we're into 7xx tonight.

Looks like somebody just bought a masternode at  0.006xx...

Does anybody have a theory on why people sell at these price levels at all? Are they not informed about the potential? Wouldn't it make more sense to hold or place sell orders at a higher price when demand comes recurrently off the order book like that?

My guess is that it is short term traders.  Bought low, selling higher.  I regularly forget myself but DRK still qualifies as a risky long term investment.

I didn't have any problems buying 1000DRK yesterday but you're right, things looking a lot cooler today.
