A lot of bro bs going on in this thread..

I wounder if Bob and his wife Gekko is onboard.

I would assume that this shitcoin was created by Vertoe ( former DRK developer ) in collaboration with BobSurplus, for that epic pump and dump.

It was definitely cloned by someone who worked for DRK. He knows the masternode configs too well.

My 10 year old nephew set up a DRK masternode following an online guide a few months back.  I really think you are overstating how complicated masternode configuration is.  There is a lot of documentation out there and if you choose a good guide, you can just copy and paste the commands.

Aren't you the fucker that lost 28 thousand darkcoins because of a bet or something? Not to mention that right after that, Dark went up 2.5x in price ROFL!. What an honor! I see that you are going from shitcoin to shitcoin trying to recover your money.

Anyways, speaking of this shitcoin. Like i said, it was created by Vertoe, maybe you or Evan himself and one thing is for sure, Bobsurplus is the one that pumps it as we speak.

I also like the implementation of masternodes. Just like Peter Todd said in the past; convince people to make as many masternodes as they can, thus removing their coins out of market (+ price stability) and then start dumping with Bob and his crew on their stupid heads.

You're a really nice human being.  Thanks for your kind words.

This is what YourMother is referring to https://dashtalk.org/threads/a-warning-to-you-all.4373/

Please read so you don't make the same mistakes as me.

1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] The Shadow Project | Anon POS | Ring Sigs | Decentralized MarketPlace (w) on: April 10, 2015, 08:11:38 AM
whats up with craptsy deposits?  going on 14 hours waiting for my SDC to post.  Small test transaction worked.  Followed that with almost 2800 coins and they never posted.  The coins are there.  I see them on the blockchain.  craptsy wallet now says, "Our wallet is currently offline due to issues with the coin's blockchain."
I think child tweeted to them earlier to offer them help.

It's a head-scratcher.

Poloniex and Bittrex have both kept wallets online 99+% of the time
Cryptsy on the other hand (and Im guessing) is more like 75%

Shadower Pline was the unofficial "point man" for comms with Mullick (BCT member and Cryptsy admin). Perhaps he still is. Irregardless I suggest a Shadower State-side try and connect with him.

Richie (Bittrex) benefited from the rewindchain command which this community appraised him of. (he tweeted about it with great enthusiasm too btw)
As erok states above I tweeted Big Vern (@Cryptsy) once again to try and address this frustrating situation.

n.b the problem is with Cryptsy, not Shadow

Hey CH, I contacted mullick back several weeks ago about why their wallet was still in maintenance.  I never received a reply until today.  He says that the locking issue is still happening, and he has taken the wallet offline until it is fixed. So I guess he is expecting Shadow devs to provide a fix now. A while ago on slack, dasource mentioned he was testing a fix for the linux daemon hanging issues that would resolve this.  Not sure if that ever succeeded.

It is indeed a head scratcher as to why Bittrex and Poloniex wallets seem to work 99% of the time and if there is an issue it is fixed quickly.  Cryptsy wallet is much less reliable, and Cryptsy and mullick have been notoriously slow at responding, locking up people's funds for weeks or months, and ignoring/not answering inquiries.  I have had my tickets ignored there in the past, and was banned from their chat box for complaining about lost funds that were not credited for over a week. Admins and others at Cryptsy were also falsely telling people that ShadowCash was broken and needs a dev to fix it, which is really misleading considering the wallet is working fine on other exchanges.  This turned off a lot of investors in the early days, and possibly was a big reason the price was so low, for so long.  If anybody wants to contact mullick, he is the guy that is in charge of fixing cryptsy wallets, and you can PM him here on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=99433

It would be nice to have the market at cryptsy working properly, but until that happens I think it is wise to avoid there and support Poloniex and Bittrex who have treated us much better.

Im not quite sure how the other exchanges have been dealing with the locking of the wallet. I currently run it in a for loop restarting the daemon every 15 minutes

But even then after a day or 2 it locks up within the 15 minutes. Is there any trick to stopping it? When it locks up it just stops responding to rpc calls. It doesnt reject them it just leaves them open with no response until the daemon is killed and restarted

For the record, our wallet still locks up or flat out crashes every couple of days... we just have alarming and other mechanisms in place to page us so we can fix it.  It would be nice to get that bug worked out no matter how great rewindchain is Wink

thanks,
richie@bittrex

I've just alerted the devs to your post on Slack.

1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ‘Crave Project’ Soars Among Eager Speculation on: April 10, 2015, 08:05:49 AM
Another coin in the anonymity arms' race and yet we often know how these things end - Crave could be being pumped right now but a month later have no capitalization or volume..  or it could go up and stay in the 7 - 8 figure range..  pure gamble..

I'm not familiar with this coin but have seen it mentioned around a few times recently. What does this coin offer that other's doesn't or is it just another 'dark' coin? Does it offer anything those don't?

we have nice community at crave helpful and full of tech people join us if you like Smiley

I think most people say their prefered coin has a nice/good community.

Its sort of a Shadowcash/Dash(DRK) hybrid with some extra layers of security although most features are yet to be developed which is reasonable for a coin that is less than two weeks old.

It claims to be planning a decentralised marketplace for the future although how this will compare to the other projects with this deliverable I don't know yet.

Lots of money to be made if you are a day trader with balls of steel.

Just advert.  Refer to OP for roadmap.

Everyone is worried about the "coming dump" but I believe this is whole "pump" is being done by disillusioned Dark/Dash whales unhappy with the direction Evan is going.

It is in their best interest to send this up and maintain the price in the several dollar range for awhile to challenge Dash's dominance, they won't be able to do that if it gets real high and crashes to the ground floor then no one will trust it.

Yes! Some Long term Da$h investors did not like the name change...I said it before but the Dark name change created a void for a talented Dev like ICM a too open up a can of jones soda 1999 Can of Whoopa$$

Rumor spreading that ICM is vertoe.  Grin

Um... what's/who's vertoe?

Super talented and well respected dev who left DRK/Dash for various reasons.  A real loss to DRK, a real gain to somebody.  I'd be surprised if Vertoe is working on this though despite being one of the few people with the talent to deliver the roadmap.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CRAVE 0.52M, Dark Assets = Embrace The Dark = MASTERNODE HARDFORK APR 8 on: April 09, 2015, 11:59:39 AM
Has there been any news on the marketplace?  Hard to keep up with all the cheerleading posts.

I was not aware the dev had a magic wand or genie lamp.
Is there anything else you would like to magically appear in the next few hours?

yes its been a whole 4 minutes. why don't we have CRAVEland yet. The amusement park built on white sandy shores which caters to all our worldly needs.  Dev?

Great idea. Let the onslaught of hounding begin now. How much are season tickets?

EDIT: I really must say, snaffle that that is one of if not the best post I have ever seen. The first time I have laughed out loud from a bitcointalk post. Thank you.

EDIT 2: I hope the dev puts that on all future road maps just for shits and giggles.

Stonehedge is a legit investor from Darkcoin, please don't treat him like that.  Or anyone for that matter.  This thread DOES move fast and many of us don't have time to catch up.  It's important that we answer people's questions.

Stonehedge, the roadmap2 was released yesterday and is now in the OP.  It shows that the marketplaces are coming (step 3) but a specific ETA isn't provided.

1. Are we not all legit investors? Please don't act as if he is more important that anyone else. He came with attitude and got some back, Big deal.

2. If he would drop the cheerleading comment then I am certain he would have gotten an answer.

If you think for one second because he is possibly a larger investor so he deserves more respect than anyone else then take a hike. I have the habit of reading the thread and not expecting answers to be handed to me in life...back to the whole instant gratification thing. If you have a legit question ask it, but certainly don't come in slinging your dick making off hand comments and expect a legit answer. That is all.

i doubt u have more than 100btc, big investor did not talk too much....big mouth = have no money

ups sorry for saying that, but that is the fact
okay guys stop messing around, all new investors are welcome. small and big ones, let's just keep it civil, please. Welcome Stonehedge  Cool

I will not let where we are going devolve into a pissing contest. This will be my last comment in regarding this.

I say welcome as well Stonehedge, and I expect the same treatment if I act that way here in the forum or in real life.
I'm blunt an honest and many consider me a dick, but those that get it know I will bend over backwards for them.

If big mouth = no money, I guess then passive aggressive = huge investor?

I am just a poor broke slob, what do I know. Keep thinking that.
And the idea of someone having more money than the next makes them more important is the exact opposite
of why satoshi created crypto.

But you have to admit that CRAVEland was brilliant and I really do hope the dev adds it to all future road maps.
We already know he has a sense of humor with the hookers and blow joke.

Wow, I wasn't actually looking for a reaction.  I apologise for sounding brusque.

I only asked because a new account posted yesterday that the marketplace was ready and in return I asked when it would be available for testnet and I was unable to find the response in amongst the huge number of positive posts about this coin.

I clearly misunderstood and also missed the roadmap.  Thanks for pointing me back towards the OP, I suppose I should have checked their first.

I agree.  Some people are showing a CRAVEn attitude towards how they earn their money.

Does anybody know if any substance has been shared about the possible future marketplaces?  Three projects already have P2P marketplaces (some of them multicurrency) in progress.

What makes Crave marketplace different or better?

One thing, Crave marketplace will work  Smiley

Syscoin already have a working decentralized marketplace, fully working. Not "in progress" as everyone else says, including this copy paste coding currency. Also they are pushing TOR.. stop doing that shit. Every currency today has support for it, but not "in wallet support" since youre sending traffic through a TOR socket which needs to be installed first. TOR is far from safe, it lacks end to end encryption.

I2P is the future.. which exists native within the wallet in two coins so far. I know since ive ported it to one of them

syscoin? i remember that launch.... complete disaster

Its anon over I2P which you can not compare to TOR really. TOR is not safe, and as i said, it lacks end to end encryption. Masternodes? you mean mixing coins? Why do you need to mix coins when you are using stealth addresses?

Okey.. the launch. Are we talking about a launch now? Stick to the tech talk. Or are you out of words?

why so hostile?

Well im pissed that the regular joe gets fooled with all this tech talk and loosing their BTC due to that they dont understand the tech. Well i can enlighten them.. im a network engineer plus developer in several languages. All im saying, all you noobs out there, read before you invest in this.

Just trying to be a good samaritan huh? Pull the other one pal.

Nothing to do with that.. my job here on bitcointalk lately consists of exposing the facts. Its not just this coin. 99% of the times i am right. You seem to be afraid of it though, which i understand since you have your money in it. Tell me, what is new here? Which is the 2% new tech in CRAVE?

It doesn't matter whats new or original. All that matters is that it works and its a hell of a lot cheaper and rarer than Darkcoin or Blackcoin or any other alt out there offering the same features.

Its cheap, in what way? "it works" haha

Bit too early to say it works!  Lets see when this already working marketplace appears...

feel free to go buy some Sys then... I'll stick with CRAVE thank you

Hah people are hyping this beyond their own knowledge. Some tech are new. 98% is taken from other currencys and merged. People should really look at the code before making assumptions.
well it works and that is important, and btw all alts are >90% copy paste and u know it Wink

Is there a working version we can play with on testnet?  Thats fantastic news that it works!

I'm sure it could work.  Its one hell of an assumption though.

P2P marketplaces, IPV6 and TOR/I2P based masternodes have all been tried before with significant challenges discovered on the way.  For the sake of crypto, I hope this dev team are up to the task of beating those challenges.
