set ur buys around .0160 ...this is nice healthy correction  Grin

In this second wave we don't have vertoe's and stonehedge's volumes to dump - so I don't expect we will see such a deeps.

I bet Directbet wished they had waited a week Cheesy
sell your bmw and come back. Wait a week and get a new one.

You have no idea the lengths I am going to find the business case to buy back in.  I've got my accountant on it...discussing it with Mrs Hedge...

Its the price and limited supply thats getting me.  In the absence of a time machine I'd love to find somebody willing to give me a second chance with a gratuity discount depending on the volume I buy.  A man can dream.

Anyway, lottery night in the UK so if the market gets pumped by £4m overnight you know who won it.

presumably Mrs Hedge will control the private keys this time round?  Smiley

Meh, thats the thing that scares the shit out of me.   By all means I'd be happy for Mrs Hedge to control the private keys but don't for a second believe that my gambling losses were a result of a long term gambling addiction.  It is really easy to lose control in the heat of the moment.  It is also a short hop from short term periodic controlled gambling to insane mistakes.

1584  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WARNING] A personal warning to you all. on: March 25, 2015, 11:54:30 AM
If you can't lose big, don't bet big.

Yes, this what people always talks about, we all know that, but the truth is how exactly many people can follow the rule? Gambling is addictive, people who is addictive with gambling all need a lesson, like this, finally OP loss big money, this is the best way to keep them away from gambling.

This was really the point of me sharing on this thread.

I was not a habitual gambler and until becoming involved in crypto had barely placed a bet in my life.  I have no idea what happened to me when I made my big loss.  It just seemed to happen.  I just lost control and the whole thing is a haze.  Its scary because I was not somebody who gambles regularly or with large amounts.

Anyway, thanks for the messages of support.  I do appreciate them.

As for the warnings of not betting more than I can afford to lose and other pearls of wisdom...bit too late for me but thanks anyway Wink

For the record, at today's prices, I'm down £116,000 from that single flurry of madness.

Ignore the troll.  Dashcoin isn't Dash.

Hey don't feel sorry for me.  Life goes on.

Of course, donations most welcome.  Spare any change guvnor?  Undecided

Now its not actually relevant I might as well reveal that we were going to sell at around this price level because we decided that we needed to move out of our flat and into a house with a second bedroom so that we could possibly start a family.  My stupidity has set us back a year or two. Sad for us but seriously....first world problem!  We have our health and a roof over our heads.

I agree, he's gonna rebound, even stronger than ever!

Lol, I appreciate the positivity but if anybody has any ideas how I can bounce back with no money to invest for at least two months then do please let me know  Grin

I'm still hoping for a sympathetic whale who has made a massive mistake in the past to offer me a lifeline.   Cheesy

Tante...sorry I haven't replied to your mails.  I've got laryngitis and my day job has been taking all of my energy.

1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The race for a decentralised silkroad is on, but who will win? on: March 24, 2015, 11:03:36 AM
I wonder if the US government can prosecute users of shadow simply based on the fact that the client is used for buying illegal drugs. Think about this for a second. If this market place is truly decentralized then the entire contents are hosted on individual's computers via the blockchain. That means that both orders and merchandise and all transactions are on shadow's users hard drives. Maybe the US or other nations will simply bust you for enabling the "drug network" by running your client (node). Since without you or anyone else participating the marketplace is essentially dead.

I think they can prove this in court as well. If the marketplace is used primarily for illegal things then why else would you be running it?

I know what your going to say, why don't the powers that be bust TOR users. Well, Tor can be used for many different reasons. A decentralized silk road is used for only one purpose. Especially when you have an anonymous currency tied to it. I don't think they will have a problem convincing a judge either. Better hope that your IP is obfuscated each time you load that client.

This is an argument often used against Darkcoin....the risk that masternode operators are in breach of money laundering laws.  Thats even before DRK masternodes support decentralised marketplaces...
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The race for a decentralised silkroad is on, but who will win? on: March 24, 2015, 11:01:57 AM
Can I ask a genuine question?

When the SDC marketplace is delivered, will it be running through standard wallets or through nodes of another kind?

1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Darkcoin penetrated by GOVERNMENT? on: March 24, 2015, 09:52:29 AM
Care to post the original link to that thread?  It was one of the funniest threads of 2014 on BCT.

"Hey, I'm a secret agent who has just signed up on BCT but I can't tell you which agency I work for but I thought I'd risk my livelihood by warning you that Darkcoin has been compromised by everybody and it doesn't work and I definitely am not associated with one of Darkcoin's rivals because I'm a government agent and I never tell lies so there!"

Well, what did this Bill guy do that I do not know of? (have no clue who he is, I just love this quote)
Well, actually it doesn't matter Tongue

I think Otoh's quote probably says enough...

"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." - Bill Cosby

Focus on newbies. It's impossible to create a video for all target markets. Focus on the most important one.
If we try to make something that fits everyone, the end result won't fit anyone.

The total value that I lost last week is now approaching £100,000. Enough to have made up the difference for us to buy a bigger place to live. Wow.

I know it's nearly impossible to NOT do this but you need to stop looking backwards at what might have been. Imagine what the 10,000 BTC pizza guy has been going through!

You have masternode again which is a whole lot more than many here who are still trying to get to this achievement so it's onwards and upwards!

You're totally right and its crass of me to post stuff like that. It has only been a week though, still raw.

Apologies if I have offended anybody.

Just scan read the last 50 pages or so and holy shit this thread is the most fudded, troll infested in the history of BTCtalk!

And all the while DRK is outperforming all its competition yet again....lol

The fact that portions of the Monero dev team are engaging in the worst kind of defamation and fud, spending hour upon hour here regurgitating long put to rest nonsense is absolutely hilarious as well!!

Kudos to all the participants of this mega thread I have been absent for over 6 months but my DRK investment is growing nicely.  Grin

cheers Evan

Oh bro....its been a shit fest here....entertaining as all hell.  I've been here that last few days...because I happen to have a little down time , which is over today.  And its been awesome....I really think the Trolls/Fuddsters take themselves seriously.   I am convinced that they think that people in the outside world care about what they are saying.  LOL.  Its comical...one of the trolls even spews crap about fbi and legal mumbo jumbo.  Its like they think their views are relevant!  LoL.  Whats real is DRK/DASH is climbing....there is a whole new bunch of development going on as we speak...and we just march along.  Great time wasters...but alas all good things must come to an end.  Smiley

I'm particularly enjoying seeing all the ignored posts too.  It makes me laugh when I think about the jealous ones stabbing away at their keyboards trying to close the gap on Dash.

I particularly like seeing this troll activity because the majority of the Dash community have alway seen room for multiple anon coins.  Its hardly our fault we seem to be more popular at the moment.

I know I lost coins but I couldn't tell you what my deposit addresses were or how much I lost exactly.  It makes it pretty hard to contact Action Fraud...

Surely you have your current addresses and wallet though right? You can check on the blockchain and go back through your transactions? Unless you make a new wallet every month that is.

Good point but could take a long time  Cheesy  I'll get on it.
