I checked with ROLLBIT to see if they had the Womens NRL games listed, which they
dont but they do have the outrights.
I wouldnt have a clue about it though.

Yea I saw that the Panthers v Warriors game had only point spread betting available
and I dont know about that either! Predictably the Panthers won.

ah the poor auld Broncos, as my dad would say the Eels "put Rugby out of their heads" they
were going allright though compared to last year. They are now hoping the Sea Eagles do them
a favour tomorrow.

I was thinking of the same concerns others had of the collectibles board been inundated
with NFT threads but yea a child board specifically for NTF's is a great idea and could compliment
the collectibles one  and increase traffic.

It just goes to show there are other spaces where people are buying, selling and trading crypto
collectibles, I for one am only aware of a few of them and wasnt aware of XCP ?

Nice update.

I'm going to use this app more regularly and will update my sales thread with it over the weekend.

Thanks ZipReg

Tennis is way to protective for both players and supporters. Players stop playing when somebody stands from their seats or if mobile phone rings, you can't even talk during points and if supporter was yelling something during serve he immediately gets removed from crowd. I mean grow a thouger skin, just imagine some footballer standing at corner kick and not taking it while there is someone talking in the stadium. Hell he usually takes it quickly before objects start flying towards his head and you learn to enjoy insults from opponent supporters, they are picking on you because you are good.

On the other hand you have Osaka, grown woman that breaks apart when somebody yelled you suck. How protected childhood you must have to never encounter such language. My six years old doughter gets juicier insults from her peers and any youth playing some sport professionally hears much more thrown his way.

I don't like Kyrgios much but he is a bit of fresh air in oterwise very stale sport. Who wants to hear Nadal praising his opponent for good game after he destroyed him 6:1 6:1. Just seems a bit phony to me.

I agree with a lot of what you say Trofo.
Kyrgios though cant be commentating on spectators the way he does. I dont mind the
giving out but getting personal is another thing.

Please lets not hope that tennis ends up the same as soccer, there is so much toxicity
both on the pitch and in the stands, nobody should have to deal with that.

As regards Osaka, its a tough one, Its very rare for someone to shout out abuse
like that, there was more to that I recon. And yea she and most players lead protected
youths that they probably cannot deal with some personal heckling. That person was still
in the wrong, its needless.

I've been away for a couple of nights and won't be able to put wagers on this week U till after today's NRL game has finished.

I'll pick the Eels to be too slippery for the Broncos and update my post tonight.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. The Eels still have decent odds though, 1.57 so I
have the usual 0.1mBTC on them.

Another interesting match with very favourable odds - Rabbitohs v Cowboys, the home
team are favourites but I picked up odds on the Cowboys @ 2.55 - 0.1mBTC wagerd.

Something else interesting is the match up between the Raiders and the visiting Sea Eagles,
who are big underdogs at 4.7, I am half thinking of putting a dollar bet on then to make a big upset?
The Raiders have their eyes on that 8th spot after the Eels send the Broncos down today.
2347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Started accepting Bitcoin as a 4th means of payment in my noddles DEPOT on: August 24, 2022, 10:41:10 PM
Well done OP, great bit of entrepreneurship by you. The idea is to make it easy for people
to spend their Bitcoin or FIAT in your shop. If you stick with it surely more and more people
will get to know they can spend their Bitcoin at your shop. No doubt there will be tough times
but if you persevere you will get stronger.

Its great to see merchants take the initiative to accept Bitcoin and to realise its potential
for many applications.
2348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 24, 2022, 10:17:32 PM
In a couple of years the time of Djokovic and Nadal will also be over. I think the tennis world will be quite different by then and less people will be watching it.

I personally started watching tennis quite a lot exactly because of players like Federer. But that's how it is in sports. Messi and Ronaldo are soon gone. Schumacher was once gone in Formula 1 and Hamilton will also soon be gone. Hopefully those gaps will be filled with new superstars.

That is the normal course of time. Good well-known tennis players leave and new ones come who are also good at some point and will be remembered. And every nation has its tennisstar at some point. I still remember the time of Boris Becker and Steffi Graf. Before them tennis was less well-known on German TV. But Boris Becker's victory in Wimbledon changed a lot of and tennis was on TV much more often until the nineties.

Of course, but there are still players that go down in history forever. The probability is not very high that we will soon see a player who takes home 25 Grand Slam titles or even more. It Is not impossible, never, but is it likely? No. Look at Serena Williams, everyone was sure she is going to be the one and only record holder in GS titles and then her performances crashed. It is really, really hard to break those existing records and Nadal and Djokovic aren't done yet.

Nadal is a great example in this regard. Let me ask you: do you really think that it will ever be possible for someone to beat Nadal's French Open record? I mean, I myself just said never say never and nothing is impossible, but I must confess I can't imagine in my wildest dreams that someone is going to win the French Open 15 times (assuming that Nadal wins no more FO titles). That is just not humanly possible anymore (at least it seems impossible Cheesy ).

I actually like the idea of titles being spread out between many brilliant players rather
than the sport being dominated by a handful of players including both mens and womens.
Of course its not great from a betting perspective, it would be harder to pick winners. I'm
not sure though that the game would suffer from it??

^^ Yeah, it's too bad for Nick that his big mouth will bring him trouble with the fans. And he chooses the wrong fan to accused of as she is a lawyer. But I don't know, maybe Nick will not change his style despite someone suing him for attacking her verbally as a fan. Perhaps the organization will have to step up as well, but then again, what can they do to Nick that they haven't imposed before? ban him for playing?

I'm thinking though that this could be settled out of court. But let's see.

I would say that whether or not Nick changes something fully depends on the outcome of this potential lawsuit. If it costs him like 10k or 20k USD, he probably doesn't care.
But if this turns out to be a serious punch in the face financially, I think he might change for the better because he HAS to! Otherwise he would be punished even harder for being a repeat offender.

Nah, I don't think that Nick will change for the better, maybe he can control his temper from time to time. However, his comment was about Anna Palus could be heard and maybe she felt ashamed. But then again, Nick is somewhat assaulting verbally in the crowd, even his coach and girlfriend.

So I doubt that she will just pursue that kind of money, she is a laywer after all and could really drag Nick in this case and there could be courtroom drama.

No I dont think so either, he really does need to tone down the verbal abuse though,
its just ugly.

Last weekend I started colouring my personal copy #25 and started with the first page,
which is in keeping with the theme "Genesis". I finished it yesterday evening and signed
and dated the page. This gives an idea of what your copy could look like finished obviously
in your style.

Anyone read this news?

Nick Kyrgios to be sued by Wimbledon tennis fan after '700 drinks' comment

Quote
Nick Kyrgios is set for more courtroom drama after a Wimbledon fan he accused of having '700 drinks' revealed she is is suing the Australian tennis star.

Polish lawyer Anna Palus released a statement confirming legal action against the 27-year-old for his comments made during the Wimbledon final he lost against Novak Djokovic.

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/tennis/news/nick-kyrgios-be-sued-wimbledon-tennis-fan-after-700-drinks-comment/tedbzrvxafiohbzyz2vqvq6w

For sure even if Nick will win this case, it will take a lot of toll from him and might not perform at peak continue in the US Open. Not sure about the case  if it has merit or not. So we shall see what happens next. When Nick was really doing good lately in the last couple of tournaments, this is going to bite him for sure.

I think the case has merit, the claimant is a lawyer so Nick could very well be in rough waters
with this one.

He has such a big mouth on court and it was only a matter of time before there were more
consequences from all his antics on court. Its one thing being a "showman" on court but
when he starts throwing accusations at people he really needs to consider the possible backlash.

I have warmed to him recently but I dont feel sorry for him regarding this.

so if anyone wanted to argue CSW case about "moving 'bitcoin' to csw address. the solution is simple.. tell CSW to do it on the network he considers his true bitcoin..
He already did that: https://bitcoinassociation.net/bitcoin-association-for-bsv-tulip-trading-ltd-settlement-statement-and-faq/
Not much to be gained from stealing a million coins of a shitcoin which is worth 1/500th of what bitcoin is worth and has no real volume so couldn't be sold to anyone anyway. Which is why he needs to continue attacking real bitcoin.

I read that post, but I was interested in your opinion, considering that they all cited some completely different things as the reasons for their actions without publicly saying that the real reason is what Faketoshi is doing. However, some things are much clearer now, because Faketoshi knows exactly where to direct his attacks and they obviously bring results - only one more question remains, is he doing it alone or does he have some very powerful allies operating from the shadows?
I'm not 100% sure, but even if you think CSW has had no impact on any developers yet, it is easy to see how one or more developers could decide to protect themselves from his litigation by either reactively or preemptively cease their involvement with bitcoin. It is clear CSW is being bankrolled by Calvin Ayre, and therefore has the whole CoinGeek entity and its employees doing his bidding and repeating/publishing what they are told to.

TBH thats worrying, people generally speaking should be more worried about this
scenario rather than any of the other array of Bitcoin worries which seem to be discussed on
the forum.

Couldnt the Dev's quit working on the network and just start working on it "anonymously" ?

Really veering off topic now but in the case of Cobra, how do you file a legal notice on someone
who's identity is not known? how do you enforce it if that person ignores it?

Thanks yourself K!

The stand is a little rubber "bump stop" with a metal inner used for feet of a wooden box
or on a door to stop it bumping off something else. I got it in a hardware/DIY supplies store!
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 23, 2022, 10:01:27 AM
Thats a massive jump up the rankings by Coric, top 30 player now so he should start
climbing further if he can keep his current form, he had some really great winning
shots in that match, and yes the U.S Grand Slam should be very interesting for him and
hopefully we can make some Satoshi's in the early stages with him.

Yes, although I'm a big fan of Tsitsipas, seems that he is really broken up mentally in that game. I mean you had a huge lead in the first set, how can he let Coric come back strong and win it? And in the second set it was all Coric, Tsitsipas has no answer and as you have said, great winning shots so he can't be denied.

Will look for him of course in the next Grand Slam, or maybe he could be the dark horse of that tournament if he get to the quarterfinals.

I also used to be a big fan of Tsitsipas but I think he has changed his attitude in the last
2 years or so. He has become one of those players who is walking on the very edges of
the rules in order to compensate for short comings in his abilities so I have kind of gone off him.

Nadal does it too but in a more routine based style, he does it all the time, its just his style,
Tsitsipas does it only when things are going against him.

What I find really interesting about this and similar historical Bitcoin which havent
moved is that the owners are and were able to HODL for so long through the various highs
we have seen, notably the recent $69,000 high.

I like also how a move like this generates a lot of speculation, I wonder if the owner is on the
forum looking at this thread?

Who knows what the reason for this move is, it could be any number of reasons.

Absolutely, there is no time limit Within reason I could see this project
taking 12 months but I cant see anyone taking anymore than a month to complete their
page and despatching to the next person.

I thought it would be nice to post your work when you were done but I can also see the
merit of everyone waiting until the end too, I will leave it up to everyone to choose what they
want to do but you can only share your own work is a good rule too.

@owlcatz - artist in the family eh? sounds exciting !

I have been in touch with doblezero and I will be posting the book tomorrow!
