That must be something to do with points, or would it have something to do with the Bye from last week for the Panthers.....?
So well done to the Eels and your parlay, for the finest of margins that is a massive win by the Eels...of course I only went and backed the favourites 30 minutes before kick off just to play it safe...
I'll try for the Dolphins @ 4.3...

^ Disappointing from Teichmann, she got bagel'd in the first set. I thought she would do good things this year but it hasnt started that way.
What did you expect was gonna happen in this match? Muchova is one of the girls in best form on the whole tour and I wouldn't be surprised to see her go far in Miami. I will probably bet on her all the way. Did not expect 6:0 in first set but I did expect a clean 2:0 win and covering of 4.5 handicap. Since it is easy to talk after the match I'll add the proof as well like yourself, didnt expect such a poor result from her, only winning 2 games, very poor. I would also not be surprised if Alcaraz becomes the player who is going to blast through Djokovic's number 1 weeks record. Djokovic was 24 years old when he first became number 1. I know that is still a very long way to go and yes, it will be a lot about his health as well. But the way he competes and also the rest of the competition seems to be inferior.
Different times - when Đoković started you had titans such as Federer and Nadal in their prime, players like Murray in the mix as well. Top 10 were del Potro and Wawrinka, players that could beat you any day of the week. Currently when I look at the top 10, other than Alcaraz there isn't a player who I can see constantly challenging for titles. That's actually what I meant to say. Now only looking at the time Alcaraz seems to have left to also collect some easy number 1 weeks, it probably comes down to his health only. Unless there is another rising star on the horizon that we can't see yet. His level is insane at the age of 19 and even though when Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Zverev etc. are all great players, they are not his level. I agree, Alcaraz seems to have all the tools at his disposal to be No.1 for a long time, the only caveat is staying injury free. and ATM based on his performance at Indian Wells there is nobody at his level currently. I definitely think Medvedev is better than the result in that final portrays.

Now that will be some haul if that parlay lands! Good Luck!!
There are a lot of questions for this round, Can indeed the Eels turn around their season and clock up their first win? Very strange to see them sitting at the bottom of the ladder. Backing the Eels is well worth a punt for sure, they have to beat the Panthers.
Broncos or Dolphins - who goes top after round 4? This will be unbelievable if the Dolphins beat the Broncos and go top but I have read that Felise Kaufusi will be missing, I dont know if that is a massive deal though?
-
Timelord, I see you are going with the Titans over the Cowboys, I think its only a matter of time before the likes of the Eels and Cowboys start their winning streak - I hope I havent jinxed your bet...

^ Disappointing from Teichmann, she got bagel'd in the first set. I thought she would do good things this year but it hasnt started that way.
Disappointing from Raducanu too, she just doesnt seem to be progressing.
O am looking forward to see how Fernandez does against Tsurenko later.
On the ATP side I have a bet on Murray to come through to the next round, he does quite well in the early rounds but as the competition progresses and the talent is stronger he can struggle.

Could there be any importance and need for some kind of mild regulations? Knowing how things can get out of hand when everyone is left to do as they please, don't you think that the freedom and anonymity from bitcoin will be really abused when accepted and adopted for use even more than some people do now? I have been thinking that why we really fear the centralized system is not because we detest the idea of control, but because we do not trust the people who are in control, do you agree with me? If there had not been any reason to not trust the people in control, the idea of a decentralized system will never have been.
If there is not regulation at all, this will only give more ways to online criminal and other illegal activities, which means regulation is very good. But we need to be careful of regulation too, humans are full of bad sides too. Without regulation, there would be money laundering and more ease for terrorism financing, which the world are going against. But with regulation, it comes down to the fact that our data can be sold and privacy is what the regulatory bodies and government do not want, they want to sink their citizens in a way that they will have control over their citizens like a modern slavery in which the full right and freedom of citizens will become not possible for the citizens to achieve. We can see how the government are using fiat to override citizens right to their own money because the government are the ones controlling it. Centralized and decentralized system in life have pros and cons, but as both are existing, some users still can be able to have privacy if they do not want to go with the regulatory way, but that is not easy to do. Look at all the regulations in place with the FIAT system and there is still scammers trying to steal our funds. Regulations wont stop scammers. Regulation just means more control and the eroding of privacy in terms of Bitcoin. IMO Bitcoin does not need regulation, its up to each individual to protect their funds, if done correctly regulation wont be needed.

Yep, healthy Alcaraz is basically a favorite to win every tournament he goes to this year. He plays well on all surfaces - he just breezed through Medvedev on hard.
Considering how he's playing, he's my favorite against Đoković as well. Shame that Novak had to miss both IW and Miami.
Now Medvedev was also very weak against him in Indian Wells and that is probably going to be one of the major differences between Alcaraz and his strongest competitors in the long run. At one tournament Medvedev pays solid tennis, and he did in this tournament as well of course, but there seemed to be a crash in his performance that is hard to be explained. You can lose against Alcaraz, but there wasn't much of a fight from Medvedev. The game took 67 minutes. Yea I was shocked too at how ineffective Medvedev was against Alcaraz. He tweeted that the court was slow? To every winning-streak comes an end. Congrats @carlosalcaraz on winning the @BNPPARIBASOPEN! Too good today. I look forward to coming back next year to Indian wells👍 (to a faster court🤣😝). Thank you for a wonderful two weeks. If it was slow it was also slow for Alcaraz so he needs to be able to deal with that. I am looking forward to see how each play on Miami and hopefully we get a rematch between the two...

College education and certifications don't help too much these days. This was valid 20-30 years ago but not anymore. You can learn a lot online for free. Investing in BTC might be good in the long run. Nobody can give you an exact answer. Only you can decide what's best for you. Good luck!
I need to disagree, it depends with your dream job or what skill you're want to learn. Lets say you're want to become a doctor specialist, yes you can learn from online and you've mastered many courses, but is there any patient who trust you can cure him when you have nothing to prove if you're a doctor? Investing in BTC for long term is good, but if he only know how to grow his wealth and he doesn't have any money, how he can buy Bitcoin? I agree that college degrees are losing value, but I still see people who study hard and have degrees have better lives than those who don't. Many people think they can start a business without a college degree to get rich, but they also don't know that business is not for everyone and that without money, it is impossible to start a business. Investing in bitcoin is a good option but don't just rely on it thinking that we will get rich without an education or without a stable job. There is no guarantee that bitcoin investment will always be profitable and bitcoin will be 100% safe. Bitcoin is still risky, what will happen to OP if bitcoin disappears in the future? erm as an employer or HR manager looking at the various applications for a particular job vacancy in .... engineering and they have 10 applicants, 6 of them have Degree qualifications only, 3 have Degree qualifications along with real experience working as an engineer and then there is one person with no qualifications, no experience and who hasnt even learned engineering formally, Who gets the job? or who do you eliminate immediately? it may make me socially shy if i don't go to college, and it will become hard to find a girlfriend(legit one).
I dont know how you correlate going to college with having a legitimate girlfriend? I understand that you will miss out on the social side of college life but there are other opportunities to have a social life. Have you thought about an apprenticeship type of education or part time education while working which would give you an income to be able to be a Bitcoiner? Do you want to spend your education money on Bitcoin to be a trader? if so that is a very dangerous move, very much more than just buying and HODLing for long term.

The tournament at Miami has already started, the top seeded players on both the ATP and WTA dont play until Thursday.
In the cases of Alcaraz, Medvedev and Swiatek, would you go close to "all in" with whatever wagers you plan on doing?
I mean all three should make it to at least the quarter finals...

I am not selling my Bitcoin I will hold that till 2028 bull run at least when it is around $250,000.
The altcoins I hold I am hoping for a 5-10x, some may go higher and some may go to zero I understand the risk but also reward is a lot higher than Bitcoin.
No guarantee we would have a bullrun in 2028. It being a halving year increases the possibility but does not assure it. The risk to reward is not proportional and if you gamble with many altcoins, chances of getting burned is very high. 50% of my altcoins are in the current top 15 with the remaining 20% being more gamble's which I feel can at least 20x next bull run.
I plan to put a lot of my altcoin profits into Bitcoin once they start pumping.
The last plan is good, but the chances of having funds to swap into bitcoin are low at the end, top 15 or not. Wish you goodluck anyway, we are only a bunch of Bitcoin Maximalists. Some altcoins pumped 10-20x last month alone, Bitcoin does that is 5-10 years Fact check: Ten years ago, Bitcoin was sold at just over $100, its all time high now is $68,000, how much return on investment is that? Shorten it to 6 years and it still is way higher then 20×. - Jay - Yea I agree with your synopsis un_rank, Altcoins are a gamble whereas Bitcoin is not a gamble. I converted all my altcoins to Bitcoin a few years ago, I no longer have to hope and pray that they will give me a return. Bitcoin takes up 30% of my portfolio with the rest in altcoins.
What is everyone expecting in 2024/25 bull run? Is a 10x a good return or should we be hoping for more?
Only 30% in Bitcoin, Bitcoin could be your best performer and I have read online that $250,000 is "expected" after the coming halving ~2024 thats 10x.

Yes since January 1st to today its all positive but go if the markets hadnt moved as they have done in the last few weeks this thread wouldnt exist.
Sorry OP, dont mean to be negative in your thread but of course Bitcoin is "THE" best performer since its creation as per Don Pedro Dinero above. We can pick a moment in Bitcoins journey and focus on it for better or worse but long term its only going in one direction.

After easily defeating Sinner, Alcaraz tore through Medvedev as well. He hasn't lost a single set in Indian Wells, making him the strongest favorite to win in Miami as well.
If Đoković does not stop him this season, I feel that nothing will.
I watched the first set, VERY impressive performance, really on top of his game and pretty much back to form for him. I did a cheeky bet on Medvedev being slight underdog @2.05 - half way through the first set I jund of knew my bet was dead. On that performance and throughout the tournament its hard to see anyone even Djokovic stopping him. And with that win he goes back to the #1 spot!

Yes quite possibly $30k is achievable, I havent checked but I would imagine there will be a good bit of resistance just before that though.
This is also prime territory for long leveraged positions to get liquidated which will drive the market down....we have seen it before and its definitely coming, it might be over $30k though.

I played a 4 game combo bet Scotland, France, Ireland and the North Queensland Cowboys in the Australian Rugby League and it was the Cowboys which let the bet down as the first game in the combo.
I was shouting for Italy, Wales and Ireland.
Wales - yea the drama coming into the tournament did not help, now that things have been resolved hopefully they can prepare well for the World Cup.
Italy - massive improvements made from last year IMO.
Along side the Six Nations the Under 20's games have been mirroring the senior games. It has just finished with Ireland winning the grand slam, France second and Italy third.
I am very confident that Ireland will be very competitive for a few years and Italy are showing signs that their feeder system seems to be working.

nice match between Sinner and Alcaraz. As Italian I can't hide a little disappoint about Sinner loss (and also for not playing third set ) Personally, I have avoided any bet on the match just because it's really hard to predict the outcome and both are performing very well. With this Match Alcaraz has win 3 times vs 2 times of Sinner! Probably this will be some epic battle of the future like Sampras/Agassi - Nadal/Federer etc... I thought the match between Alcaraz and Sinner would have gone to 3 sets, maybe if he won the tie break in the first. Sinner is definitely improving but has a bit to go, I'm a big fan of his and looking forward to when he wins a 1000 or GS. In the other semi final which I actually saw, Medvedev was fairly impressive, he managed to take Tiafoe's game away, its really hard to call the final between the two.

Ireland take the grand slam win just now! Winning the Triple Crown and Championship, they actually win a third trophy, the Millenium Cup which is contested between England and Ireland. As expected England stepped up as expected and made it super tough for Ireland even after losing their #15 with a red card.
In the two other games, Italy were fighting for a very late win in Scotland but couldnt finish their attack at the try line, Scotland then went up the other end to score and make the scoreline flatter them a bit. Wales showed good improvement against France.

It won't be a clean sweep for me this week with the Titans getting smashed by the Auckland Warriors 26 - 12
Now for the Broncos. 🤔
Broncos did the job - I didnt have them backed. Cowboys though? where are they? losing to Warriors and failing to score in the second half?
First half in the Scotland v Italy in the Six Nations and its been a frustrating half for both teams. Its 12 - 5 and Scotland will feel they should be way further ahead. 2'30" in the red and Scotland choose to play on instead of jilling the ball for Jaffa Cakes and Tea!!

Thats very optimistic, the odds on Wales are very tasty but it also means its a very long shot. This is the final and deciding round, France will be looking for England to bounce back after their embarrassing defeat last weekend and beat Ireland on their home ground on St.Patricks weekend kind of another long shot...but not as long I'm going with 3 home wins.

Here comes the only user who comment here when Argentina wins something . I see again we win the seven ! i know it was a few weeks ago in Vancouver, but i totally forgot this thread, so today i see the thread and think, lets salute the boys who keep them alive Timelord and aoluain. Very good, thanks for popping in to post it, I have totally taken my eye off the 7's tournament, there is just too much going on in other tournaments. Argentina seem really strong to be in 2nd place and not too far adrift of New Zealand. In the NRL, both the Dolphins and Roosters won their matches in gritty style with the last dozen or so minutes in both games being crucial. The Rabbitohs put in a very solid performance nearly coming through in the last couple of minutes. The Sea Eagles also had an emphatic win too.
Currently, the Dolphins are in first place on the table.
Yea as expected the Dolphins won that game and to go top of the table I know its only 3 games inis something else for a newly promoted team. I was checking out the odds on the Roosters after the game had started but betting was closed on Rollbit until the Roosters went into the lead after half time, I took a $1 punt on them to win @ 1.75! I have Storm and Cowboys backed for tomorrow.

Financial freedom is a dream and you need to stop yourself for a period of two to 5 years to achieve that dream. You must reduce relationships...
There is no fixed rule or path to achieve financial freedom. It is a journey that everyone has to find their way to getting there. There are principles to help achieve this freedom of which discipline is one, and then selective relationship. I agree, everyone who is searching foe financial freedom is on different paths to achieve it. I know of a guy living not too far from me who wrote some books on the subject or related to it. He lives in a different time to everyone else, he doesnt have electricity, telecommunications or even a car. He only relys on himself and nature to survive he grows food and refers to himself as a hunter/gatherer of sorts. He is financially free! The person who wins a €100,000,000 in the Euromillions lotto also becomes financially free. Why am I not financially free? I have a car loan, a Mortgage and I need to go to work to pay for all that. For the working class person, commercialism can be an enemy

I have my bet on the Eels tomorrow (dont know why I thought that game was earlier?) Timezone conversion can become quite confusing. I was just about to write the Eels need to get a wriggle on, but then they scored two quick tries to take the score to 14 - 10 to the Sea Eagles with three minutes before half time. Ooooh that was a close game, well done to the Sea Eagles. That last intercept on 76 minutes by Olakau'atu of the Sea Eagles wascrucial and won them the game. Timelord, I see you havent done a wager on the first game tomorrow, Knights v Dolphins? Reading a pre-match preview it doesnt bode well for the Knights and they are underdogs, I'm going with the Dolphins @ 1.52 But the Knights will be heavily decimated without Kalyn Ponga (concussion), Jayden Brailey (concussion), Tyson Frizell (ankle) and Jacob Saifiti (suspension). It appears an uphill battle for head coach Adam O’Brien to break a five-game losing streak at home.
