242  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: January 26, 2015, 09:07:30 PM
Some love to teppy & DT, one of the oldest school bitcoin gambling games out there, and one of the most unique as well.

Fuck the ponzi's cluttering our forum.

also I must drop by in-game soon to see what is new, as over the years Teppy seems to keep building and building in his world.  <3 that kind of dedication.
243  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - SPORTSBOOK - POKER - INSTANT WITHDRAWALS on: January 26, 2015, 09:05:24 PM
Just want to show a little love to Nitrogen, a legit bitcoin gambling site that I currently trust.

245  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 26, 2015, 09:03:33 PM
gauth issues: IMO deeply research google authenticator when changing phones, getting sync'd, etc.  2factor's only price is learning how it works.

246  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 26, 2015, 02:22:32 AM
Have new software up on my computer right now, it's titties.

Need a few more beta testers, there are bugs that need reporting.  You must be old-school SwC to get in this one.  We are basically testing the games for "satoshi stakes" and having a bit of fun doing so Smiley

Things are not quite there yet, that's why we are doing this part.  SwC is known for rigorous testing and security first.  Sorry for the massive dick tease here if you don't get in, but I'm reaching out on all channels because even in a beta environment you need a critical mass of players to make it spin so you can get usable test data.

list your SwC username if you'd like to apply.  I'm going to be very selective, so sorry in advance to most of you.

All will be revealed.

Bring back trivia bot.  Even micron likes it.  What happened?

it's not gone.  I'm about to blast 10 chips now to make sure.

Absolutely, seals has gotta be one of the oldest btc sites around that hasn't ever suffered a major security break and I'm convinced that this is because of the manual withdrawals.  Thanks, seals, for putting security before convenience.

1)  We were actually hacked about 1.5 yrs ago, it was major news.
2)  But no coins were lost, because of ST6's practices.  We also level'd our security game up significantly during that time.
3)  I learned years ago that when ST6 makes a policy that may seem restrictive to me, it's because of the "security first" policy.  For the first time ever, data *really* is money.  This is a no-fails situation, so we will always go as slow as ST6 dictates.
4) tyvm tspacepilot for recognizing this.  In a sea of "THIS IS TAKING TOO LONG" emails, it's nice to see a long time user draw attention to the multi-year history of cashout consistency.

New Software update:  We are internally testing games on the new platform now.  It's a ton of fun.  There is still much work to do, no wide release is scheduled at this time, but we are getting closer and it's really fucking exciting.
249  Economy / Investor-based games / Ponzi Control Idea: Keep bumping legit threads from your fav. sites! on: January 13, 2015, 07:58:23 PM
TYVM

must... kill.. this... bullshit
250  Other / Meta / Re: Because Marketplace>Gambling has become free Ponzi advertising land... on: January 13, 2015, 01:12:56 PM
1)  I made this thread in meta:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=923567

2) I know there are many other threads in meta about the exact same subject

3) IMO make new thread in meta often.  Explain this is the same problem going on in /gambling.  Eventually one of the lazy mods collecting bitcoin for advertising will figure they had better make a +EV move and clean up the forum before we figure out where else to post about bitcoin gambling.
251  Other / Meta / Marketplace>Gambling has become free Ponzi advertising land. on: January 13, 2015, 01:10:52 PM
And there is about to be a jihad in /meta by a bunch of loyal /marketplace/gambling old-schoolers who are pissed off our forum has been taken over by a few (but growing) Ponzi operators advertising for free and making many copies of themselves to almost completely cover the 1st page in Ponzi threads.

it's embarrassing to bitcoin gambling and should be embarrassing to the forum moderators.  I've watched the entire bitcoin gambling industry spring from this one subforum.  Now we can't get anyone's ear to reclaim it from a 100 year old scam!  Imagine the frustration...

Anyway, the only proper solution I can think of is making a Marketplace>HYIP category and moving all ponzi / HYIP / "get this unpayable % every [short timeperiod]" to this subcat.

Please return /marketplace/gambling to gambling.
252  Other / Meta / Re: Because Marketplace>Gambling has become free Ponzi advertising land... on: January 13, 2015, 01:48:29 AM
I made an earlier message stating the same thing.

We absolutely NEED a ponzi sub-forum.

It's beyond ridiculous at this point.

IMO Marketplace>HYIP makes the most sense.
253  Other / Meta / Because Marketplace>Gambling has become free Ponzi advertising land... on: January 13, 2015, 01:39:22 AM
...The Ponzi's keep multiplying.

This bullshit needs to end, it's severely disrupting legitimate bitcoin gambling discussion.

IMO let's take to the mods in /meta en masse.
254  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 07, 2015, 06:14:44 AM
Just dropping by this epic thread / GAW scam going boom to ask a few Q's:

1) 10k+ customers?  Any good links to this info?  I'm feeding a few tech reporters GAW info here in Vegas for CES / calling me about Bitcoin
2) No one has ever seen a Hashlet IRL?  confirm this for me plz?  They just have pictures of different colors of hashlets and they say different hashing powers and cost different amounts?  Nothing is ever shipped to customer?
3) Plz confirm these "hashlets" can only use the Zenpool that josh also controls?
4) So if I have this right, it's an obv Ponzi about to go bust? Just paying out hashing power forever, getting constant new signups buying lifetime hashing power?
5) Paycoin - How the fuck did this thing manage to keep a ~$46M marketcap?  it's srsly not in freerall right now?  any good way to short it?

tyvm / this thing is like a BFL + a Pirateat40 all in one!  Wow this will be an epic failboat crash really soon!

257  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: What is HYIP ? explain to a novice, please on: January 01, 2015, 08:08:40 PM
The word / acronym "HYIP" is itself marketing language for the tried and true ponzi scheme.

I don't think you can show me one "High yield interest program" that has not been a scam, and if there is one to cite it would be a severe outlier.

calling it an HYIP is of course much better than saying "Hi, I'm running a scam where new investors pay out old investors, and I just shovel bullshit down your throat until you think I really have some magic underlying business that prints money and I'm stupid enough to share the revenue stream with you, the random asshole on the internet"

The way to debunk them is simple:

-- Ask the HYIP scammer what his underlying business to generate all these funds are
-- he will say arbitrage, currency trading, options trading, something trading or quickly in and out of things.
-- you ask "why do you need my money if you have a money-making machine?"
-- insert very weak response from him that likely won't sit well with you.

But, there is another component: there exists players who know very well these are all scams, but try to game them and get in and out before they collapse

-- this leads to more liquidity for the scams
-- this leads to provable payout transactions and happy users reporting profits
-- and eventually saturation happens, i.e. there are too many current investors owed profits and not enough new investors to cover, then the "HYIP" claims they have been hacked / scammed / or lost a risky play / or just disappears

Wash, rinse, repeat under many different laughable pretenses, with many different currencies, and the fact that this bullshit is still allowed to be called "gambling" reflect that the mods of this important forum don't care much for categorizing properly (I believe there should be an HYIP section, in no way connected to gambling.  Hey, freedom is allowing speech I don't personally like) and IMO the guys that run this forum care only about dat ad revenue stream, now in the 1000's of coins.
