2401  Economy / Economics / Re: Doctors fear health care collapse amid omicron surge on: January 18, 2022, 12:45:56 PM
The sudden increase of those people who are contacting the new covid-19 variant which is omicron is really alarming. The rate of people who suddenly exhibit the symptoms of omicron is rapidly rising in most parts of the world. Here in our country, we really haven't fully recovered yet and we are still in the process of regaining our freedom because of the restrictions, yet we are now in once again in the series of lockdowns and safety implementations. It is really depressing right now to think that there are many people that would be affected again especially now that the rules imposed are not really after the welfare of the majority. Right now, here in our country, the policies that are being implemented are not in favor of the poor. The public transportations only cater the vaccinated people and there is a rule which is "no vaccine, no ride". I don't know if in other countries this is also the policy, but it really violates the human rights.

I know we have to secure ourselves and take into consideration also the other people's welfare. But this should be into consideration of the human rights as well. We just really have different perspectives and we have various reasons as to why we opt to be vaccinated or not. As long as they are doing the safety protocol which is maintaining the physical distancing and wearing of face masks, they should be allowed to use the public transportation. Because after all, not everyone has the privileged to have private vehicles.

Regarding the fear of health workers, it is really valid because the rise of those who are being sick with omicron is really fast happening. Most of the hospitals are now short staffed because some staffs already contacted the virus and they have no other choice but to prioritize themselves first. The facilities are slowly becoming full with covid-19 patients alongside with the normal patients which means they could hardly accommodate more people who try to be confined. There were even some incident reports that some hospitals now have to make a tent and temporary shelter so that they could still cater those people who badly need help. Vaccines are of great help to minimize the various spreading, but it does not guarantee full immunity from the virus. Hence, the explanation of why some vaccinated people still contact covid-19, but not as severe as those who are unvaccinated.

I just hope that the health care workers would get the support they needed from the government. In that way, they could still push through and get their job done despite the pressure. Because as we all know, some health workers are underpaid despite their work being hazardous. I hope in every area of the world, the health workers would get the recognition they deserve. The recognition I'm talking about is not focused on praises and applause, but on the things the health workers deserve which are proper compensation, good and complete facilities, and of course, the rest that their body needs.
2402  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital asset is for holding on: January 18, 2022, 12:07:45 PM
Before thinking of investing in any sector what one considers is how long you are willing to hold. Let's take the history down to how investment all began. Moving from the era of Real estate to stocks to metals to oil blocks and now digital assets we would agree those who made it big in all this investment options were those who had the patience to hold.

This kept me wondering why one would even think of investing if they don't have the patient to hold. If you can't develop the hold attitude then the best option is to do a physical business where you can monitor your profit and see them come in regularly. If it must be crypto then you must be willing to hold and wait

I agree with you. Aside from equipping yourself knowledge and skills necessary for investment, it is also needed to assess yourself how long you are planning to hold and wait for your funds to mature. It is really necessary to ask yourself this thing because it could define how would your investment run the moment you decided to dive into it. Some prefer to hold for the short term only as they have limited resources and have the time to manage and monitor their funds. These people who prefer this kind of short term investment have the skills needed in order for their money to cycle up in most possible ways. Some just like to have and receive their profit easily and then repeat the flow to generate income. This is a good thing especially if you have minimal starting capital. Buy and sell or trading for the short term could get your profit that you could use as an additional capital the next time and so on. Meanwhile, there are also people who want to invest for the long term. These people who prefer to hold for the long term are mostly established in life and have the resources they need in order for them to live and get by without the fund they invested. These people invested mostly are their spares and extra money that they want to grow and make profit in the long run instead of just having it and make it sleep inside the banks or their safety vaults. Both investors have their role in the economy and in the market. It's just really up to us how we want and who we want to be in terms of investing.

If you are in it for the short term, then you should definitely invest in knowledge first because trading is a tough task. Most especially if you will do it everyday. It could be tiring and burdensome because it requires a lot of critical thinking skills as well as technical analysis that could either make or break your trade. If you are in it for the long term, you don't have to worry much and just do your part to patiently hold and wait for the right time to withdraw and until you are already satisfied with your profit. You shouldn't be easily shaken by the sudden dips most especially if you know it to yourself that you invested in a good coin. To all types of investors out there, i hope all is well with you and may this year and the coming years will be prosperous to all of us. Let's always do our own research and invest what we can only afford to lose to avoid regrets later.
2403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the safest of the 'safest ways' to store Bitcoin? on: January 18, 2022, 11:20:09 AM
greetings to all, when I read an online news I was surprised by this news

Quote
Caucasians rob Italian citizens of money and Bitcoin in Bali with a total value of IDR 5.8 M.

Then, one of the perpetrators took the victim's six cellphones and another cellphone containing the victim's bitcoin account by asking the victim for a password.

"And if they are not notified, then the perpetrator will kill the victim's wife by sticking a knife to the victim's wife's neck. And then the victim will tell the cellphone password," he said.(english translation )
https://www.cnnindonesia.com/nasional/20211228141520-12-739596/bule-rampok-uang-dan-bitcoin-wn-italia-di-bali-senilai-total-rp58-m

the digital era requires us to save our money on smartphones, now more and more people are traveling with cellphones that contain digital money or even the bitcoins they buy. is there a safe way for us to stay safe from robbers when we have bitcoin assets on our smartphone, thank you

Nowadays, most people really mainly use their mobile phones to install apps related about their finances. Apps such as digital banking, investment, trading, NFTs and the likes are now usually stored in a mobile device. This is because it is more convenient to have it stored in a portable device that you could take with you anywhere and anytime. This is really beneficial because you could access your accounts wherever and whenever you are. You could easily monitor the flow of your funds: deposit and withdrawal, in a snap of your fingers. However, this has its risks too.

Despite having the convenience as an advantage. Mobile phones being mainly used for your finances possess disadvantages too. Mobile devices could be easily stolen by someone. It could be misplaced and never be found again. And it could be broken in just a snap as well because of accidents and the likes. Hence, if you store all of the finances related things in your mobile device, you are also putting at risk the funds you worked hard for. This is why most people prefer to use an additional security aside from pin and pass codes of their phones to make their accounts and funds safer. Most people invest in hardware wallets that could give them the assurance they need in terms of securing their money. These hardware wallets protect the accounts from the hackers because every transaction that would be made would need an authorization and verification on the end of the user's hardware wallet. They have to confirm the transactions first before it push through which makes their accounts in different financial aspects safer compared to those people who don't have one. But this type of security also have its weaknesses of course. The user must still be the one responsible of his actions. If the user would not be careful enough and will be easily deceived by scammers, their funds would still be at risk (if they will give them the information they need such as email, password, and seedphrase).
2404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uruguay installs its first Bitcoin ATM on: January 18, 2022, 10:36:15 AM
Recently, Uruguay’s first crypto ATM was installed in the city of Punta del Este, a major tourist city in Uruguay, and become the 11th South American country to publicly promote crypto adoption.
Two local cryptocurrency corporations are developed and installed the first crypto ATM in the country. (URUBit and inBierto). The ATM mainly supports deposits and withdrawal of BTC, BNB BUSD, FRT, URUB. URUB and  FRT are managed and developed by URUBit and inBierto. The two companies are controlled and funded by the government of Uruguay.

It's a great news that finally, another country has been opening its perspective in terms of cryptocurrency. After the initiative of small countries such as El Salvador, the different countries has been slowly welcoming bitcoin in their place as well. Indeed, little steps could still possibly create ripple effect that would be beneficial in our community. Bitcoin ATM isn't really a fresh and new thing that has been discovered and implemented in some areas because in some parts in U.S. it has already been installed. If I'm not mistaken, over 10,000 of bitcoin ATM has been established in different parts of America and is widely used by the crypto users.

However, in small countries and developing countries such as Uruguay, this is definitely a thing to celebrate for. This is another win and achievement of our community because little by little, we are becoming known in various parts of the world, even to the uprising ones.  This would benefit the citizens of Uruguay that are into bitcoin because they can instantly deposit and withdraw their funds with the help of the machine that will be installed to their place. I just hope that they will place these machines in areas that are safe guarded and with trusted security because there were incidents reported back then that some bitcoin ATMs were stolen or broken. Nonetheless, cheers to the baby steps and I hope this will spread further.
2405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I invest money? on: January 18, 2022, 09:57:38 AM
I advice you do your very own research first before planning on investing. Investing is both risky and courageous step anyone could do. It offers so many benefits and advantages as well as long as someone knows how to utilize it to their own advantage. However, it's not always rainbows and butterflies when we talk about investments. Investments possess risks too that could either make or break you. So, much better to make an in depth research first of what you are trying to get yourself into, before actually diving into it. You see, investing has its smooth and rough patches. And if you will just impulsively invest on something because someone just told you so, you could possibly fall in the brink of losing.

Remember, do not easily believe and follow the advices or hearsays most especially if it has no back up evidences. Instead of asking here as your first move, do yourself a favor and invest in having broad knowledge and skills first that are necessary in the field of investment. You can never go wrong once you are already equipped with needed understandings about something you want to enter to. Do your own research and then after, ask for professional's advices and tips so that you will succeed.
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People Who Suddenly Get Rich From NFT (non-fungible tokens). Is it true? on: January 15, 2022, 03:27:15 PM
NFT are even more getting popular as of now, there's a lot of NFT in the internet that cost a lot of money. People are making money out of it by making their unique stuff an NFT. I've seen a guy who make a collage of his artworks since he was just a starting artist and made it an NFT, sold it for about $24,000,00 or $29,000,000 worth of ETH if I'm not mistaken. It was bought by his number 1 fan and a multi billionaire in Bitcoin.
2407  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Conflicting news tungkol sa pag gamit ng Binance P2P at UnionBank! on: January 15, 2022, 02:19:43 PM
For me, maluwag pa rin sila kasi they are accepting screenshots from binance para may ebidensya na sa trading nga talaga nanggaling, if I'm not mistaken, yung nakita ko sa FB is sabi need yata na verified yung account sa Binance na dapat naman talaga kasi required na rin sya ng Binance. Ngayon, halimbawa nagpull out ka ng 10M in just one day, of couse ma-aalarma talaga sila but you don't have to panic if you know na kinita mo naman talaga sya sa trading, unless wala ka talagang maipakitang proof where you earned that money.
2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 15, 2022, 01:28:00 PM
<..>
Without a doubt if the OP is in profits with those big wins then that means that he is holding a massive amount of skill to become so profitable with their bets, but as we said it is impossible to know if this is actually the case as we have no idea of the full history of bets the OP has made through their life, after all we know that you can get relatively lucky somtimes but the more you gamble the closer your results will go back to the mean, which for most of us it means losing some of our money.

it's common to hear the stories of these unexpected winners and these are quite cool
we just have to remember that they're usually outliers, for each huge winner like that there are tons of losers
therefore, never bet more than you can afford to lose, luck may not be on your side everyday.
And that is the thing, we do not even know if this is an outlier, after all we know that people win big when they gamble all the time, a classic example is the people that earn millions and millions when they win the lottery, however it is also entirely possible that this is just an example of someone that makes big bets that has lost a lot of money during his life but got lucky and recovered some of the money he has lost.
Some would be real and some would be lies because gamblers tend to share up their winnings in form of being boastful rather than on telling the reality but once gamblers do make out some share up

then expect neither they are still in losses on other platforms or simply telling the truth no one really knows but we know on how risky gambling would be and in terms of losses then

its inevitable and its normal that you would really be having big wins since those bet of yours way too big on which no ordinary gamblers could do.

OP's story about his gambling journey could either be really his or he just photo grabbed it in social media, however, we can't also prove it whether it's true or not, we can just give our opinions and appreciation of him sharing such story. I mean, it's possible to win such amount in gambling, especially if OP is a heavy gambler, a lot of money and a full time sport betting gambler.

If it was me and the screenshots aren't mine, I wouldn't even waste my time posting it here just to get some attentions, unless it is really my achievements.
2409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: luckydiamond.io big scam with big proof on: January 15, 2022, 12:31:13 PM
Hi all luckydiamond.io just scam me now then they removed the game mines after i go them and tell them
They have unfair system in game mines as when i noticed Everytime i play highroll i will loss my bets so i try my last lost to verify my bet so the result show not like what in game result show mines number 16 but in game mines is 11 because they let me loss after i go and tell them about that they edit it then they removed the game as they said bug and loss last month ...i don't care about your loss because iam join and play and iam lossing my money there

Here is the proof video i take screen video

https://youtu.be/i0UiDaa43Vw

I assume this just happened today. If you have complete evidences and proofs about what had happened, you can compile all of them and post it in the scams and accusations board. Much better if you'll have pieces of screenshot prior the incident and after the incident so that they could assess and check what happened. I see that you have a video as a proof, that would work as well. Just indicate in your post in a detailed manner what made you say that luckydice have scammed you. Include as well what you did right after the incident. Write what the customer service told you and how did they plan to resolve it and did they act to ever address your concern or not.

Hopefully, your problem would be resolved as it involves money and trust. Keep us update on what will happen about this case. May their team act on it asap.
2410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do Casinos ask for so much during withdrawal? on: January 15, 2022, 11:52:58 AM
Hello everyone, I have not played cryptocurrency casino but, have played slot casino games for quite a long time. However, I scroll through a couple of complaints from players time to time and the one that got my interest is the delayed withdrawal issues. Why is it that when a player wins and wants to withdraw their winning the casino will begin to ask for info like source of funds, KYC etc. But they careless about asking for those information when the player is losing money in the platform.

ANY IDEA?

Maybe what you were trying to say is when players are withdrawing a big amount of cash that they had won in a very short period of time, that's why some casinos delayed their withdrawal, asking some personal questions, and requiring KYC for that certain player, but not all of the gambling sites are like that.

The one that you were saying OP sounds like a scam gambling site for me, because all they wanted is just to earn money while not taking care of their players.
2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do u think about gambling? on: January 15, 2022, 11:09:48 AM
To be honest, it is both. It can't be fun alone and can't be a threat alone. Gambling could be fun, if you say you're only after entertainment, but it is a threat maybe for your health, money, family, and the other way around. Gambling mostly cause addiction to its players, only few of them are really making profits, that's the truth, because for me, there's a lot of people who wanted to be a professional gambler or a profitable gambler overnight, that's why instead of taking it slowly, they bet it all in thinking they could chase their losses.
2412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any website without a dispute here? on: January 14, 2022, 02:34:10 PM
Anything could happen in a blink of an eye especially we're in the cryptocurrency world, but to answer your question, yes, there are. However, I cannot guarantee you that they are going to be legit as they are for the lifetime of their business, so go ahead and check out those gambling sites signature campaign that has been running for years already and don't have any complaint in the scam accusation thread.
2413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot and future trade on: January 14, 2022, 12:43:38 PM
Is this possible?

I have $100, I want to keep it temporary on an exchange in bitcoin and I want to trade future trading. Assuming I send the bitcoin to my future wallet on the exchange and I go 1x short position.

I guess because my bitcoin in spot value in dollar will increase if the market is going higher but I am losing the value in future trading because I go short, the value in dollar will remain the same?

Also if the market price of bitcoin decrease, I will be losing value in dollar in spot but the future favours me. This also means the value will be the same?

I am looking for a way I can put money in this way on unstable coin in a way the price will remain almost stable with only little difference. Is this possible?

$100 is too little to be put in futures, put it in stock instead. Even though you put a 1x leverage in futures, if the price oppose your technical analysis, your $100 will vanish no matter what, while in futures, you can hodl while you are waiting for the price to go up, easy as that. I recommend you study first about futures on how to make profits on it before you risk your money on it.
2414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are new generation of investors more into gambling? on: January 14, 2022, 10:46:13 AM
People wanted easy money, therefore they'll go to futures and not on stock trading. Futures trading is thrilling than spot trading, a high risk high reward that suits for people that are impatient and risky player yet some of them are still making profits on it. New generations don't want to wait, that's why you could rarely see a new trader that'll stick to stock market after he figured out about futures trading.
2415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 13, 2022, 02:08:45 PM
Creative way to promote positivity, but it's not enough to determine if there is gonna be a bull run soon or will it continue to drop until it bounce back? we'll never know. That's why being patient is important, a wise decision making is important, a technical analysis is important, because once you've entered a trade in a wrong timing, your money would be all gone. Buy the dip, don't fight against the trend.
2416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want your happiness. on: January 13, 2022, 01:11:48 PM
Use the amount of money you can afford to lose for trading. Learn trading and have experience for many months before you will have to choose if to continue or not. But I think you decided to stop. Trading is very risky, it takes from people than give, I mean the total number of people and the total number of people that are losing.

The best can be to just hold. You can always be patient, let the market fall and invest at bear time, the market will rise and you will definitely make profit. You can as well have a plan like investing more as the bear market continues so profit will be the net result in bull time.

Patience can help while dealing with cryptocurrencies.

Thank you for your advice.

There's going to be a good result.

To add up, you shouldn't really hurry on learning up everything because this doesn't talk about few days or months before you could get a good grasps on this market. This do involves a long span of days

making out those trial and error because trading is hard and cant really be handled out on just few tries that's why quitting wont really be a solution but rather learning out from those mistakes.

Yeah, we aren't on the situation on where you are now but it wouldn't be bad to at least having some retrying out again but on a much wiser condition.

I agree.

But a year of pure heartaches because OP seemed gained nothing from it is exceptional, if he thinks he needs to quit, then I guess we should just respect that. On the other note, if OP really wants to pursue his trading career, I guess he needs a lot of money in order to gain enough experience to make profits in Trading.

I recommend stock trading rather than futures, because it's better for me to slowly but surely profits than a high risk high reward one.
2417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you really need in your trading? on: January 13, 2022, 12:10:16 PM
Initially, it was important for me to have a demo account. For learning when switching from one broker to another, or just when starting work - this is very convenient.
It's utterly different from having a trading experience and doing it with a demo account. Well, that would be a good start when someone wants to trade.

But don't be limited to start with demo accounts. Go with the actual money play in trading into exchanges to feel the pressure and the experience that it has to be in.
The emotion you would be dealing with demo trades and real trade is totally different because in demo you would be totally confident since you arent risking anything or something
which means that you wouldnt really be that serious on taking such step unlike when dealing with real funds then you would definitely be careful on what you are doing.
You would definitely feel up the difference in terms of stress and chills when making out trading decisions.Real experience could be attained with real deals.

Precisely.

Demo trading is not a serious task or no one will take it seriously, even if they take it seriously, real trading will always get into their system, they'll have second thoughts because of being afraid on losing their capital. For me, there's no point on doing demo trades, go straight ahead on the real thing and experience how Trading really feels.

Be straightforward, don't waste your time, therefore you could tell right away if you want more or you've had enough.
2418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: January 13, 2022, 11:14:21 AM
Ok, so another fight that we all have been waiting for. As confirmed by Eddie Hearn, there will be a third match between these 2 great super flyweights. This year, it was a classic back and forth war, but Estrada edging Chocolatito by split decision. So now it's 1-1. They will have to settle in the upcoming trilogy as to who is the best.

https://www.boxingscene.com/juan-francisco-estrada-vs-roman-chocolatito-gonzalez-trilogy-slated-oct-16-usa--158783

At this point I can't make up my mind, I wanted to see Chocolatito win by Estrada's volume punching can sway the judge in his favour in close rounds.

@bisdak40 - bro, what's you call on this? I know that you are a big fan of Chocolatito, hehehe

This will be a tough fight between the two. Their previous fights has been thrilling and controversial because of the split victory decision recently by the judges over the recent match which was won by Estrada. Hopefully though the decision of the judges in their upcoming match on March will not be swayed by the fans of Estrada because if I'm not mistaken their game will be held in South California wherein will be dominated by Estrada's fans. Although definitely Chocolatito's fans would also be present to support their idol, still the presence of the former would be more massive than the latter. I just hope it would be a fair and square fight. If I would be asked, I think the fight would be more of Chocolatito just like the previous matches wherein it was evident he is on the winning edge. So, let's just wait and see I guess. Hopefully it would be more aggressive and entertaining to watch.
2419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting or casino? on: January 13, 2022, 10:38:18 AM
In this thread I share my opinion. I know 2 types of gambling. Sports and casino. I have both types experience. At first I started to play casino like roulette, dice, ludu. Roulette was my favourite casino table. One day I won 7k usd on roulette table. But I couldn't retain it. I lost all the usd in 10 minutes and day by day my lossing amount increased. Sometimes casino table was so tough. Whatever I bet all lost. No sequence maintained. If I won a day, I would loss 5 days at a stretch. It seemed all was fixed. I shifted to sports betting. I started to follow biggest football league like English premier League, la Liga, french Liga etc. Researched the teams statistics and placed bet. Gradually I covering my losses. What's your experience?

We have different tastes in terms of gambling. Some might prefer sports betting, while some might prefer casinos. It depends on how controllable you want your gambling would be. For instance, in sports betting, there are a lot of factors that needed to be considered in order for you to achieve winning. It isn't only inclined with luck and odds being on your favor, but also the greatness and how strategic the player or team that you will bet on. Unlike in casinos in which you only rely to yourself, to your ability,  and a little sprinkle of good luck.

In addition, the entertainment and fun that someone gets depending on what they like to do is also a factor. For an instance, someone is really fond of sports, sports betting is a good option for him since he will be able to enjoy the show while having a bet on the side. Meanwhile, if someone is fond of playing games such as roulette and the likes, then most likely casino would be the better option for them to have fun and be entertained. We have different hobbies and likings so it will really be based on our perspectives and preferences as well as on how much we want to gain from it.
2420  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the best ways to choose a casino on: January 13, 2022, 10:05:03 AM
Hello am new here and am interested in gambling but with the rate of scams casino I am finding it difficult to know the right site that don't scam players?

You can never go wrong in doing your own in depth research to see and to know what casino is the best for you and suitable for what you are looking for. There are many threads already here in the forum about which one is the best casino yet. But of course, those people who have commented on the thread will recommend to you the casino they frequently used, maybe some will recommend you because it sponsors them, or maybe because they just tried and tested it themselves. There are different reasons as why someone is able to say this certain casino is the best for them. But one thing for sure is it's better to know it first hand and checking it out yourself.

From the threads posted here in the forum, check out which of the casinos are most suggested ones and list each of them. Research about them on the internet and check why people love them. Check the reviews, check their services, check their games, the interface, the processes such as deposit and withdrawal, KYC, and their customer representative service. Check if all of those are nice and suitable for your liking and then proceed to weigh every one that you have picked from least to greatest. By then, you will know which one is worth risking for. You can also try to check who among of them has the least raised issue or concerns in the scam and accusations board. Check out how they handle problems and how they give resolution. That way, you can be at peace that if ever you'll have problems in the future, they'll be able to attend to you and not neglect you.
